Air Tanks  SOLD 45 Minute SCBA Tank With TJ3 Valve *** SPF ***

Selling this 45 minute (74 cu ft) Inspiro scba tank DOM 03/14 , hydro tested 03/19 . I removed the scba valve and replaced it with a Joe B TJ 3 valve with the dual gauges.
This tank has been used daily in an industrial setting and shows significant signs of use : chips , scratches and rub marks in the clear coat. I cleaned , replaced the valve , and filled to 4500 psi to test for leaks and function. It's good to go. Selling tank only (no fill hose) for $285 + shipping (I use Pirate Ship and don't pad the shipping). Selling to conus only. Not interested in trades or offers at this time. Please deal by pm. Thanks for looking.

Traditional Rifle  SOLD LOWER PRICE: Whiscombe JW80 MK2 w/177,20,22 Barrels

-----6/14/2024 : Sale Pending-----
LOWER PRICE. I'll accept $4500 in my pocket. Buyer to cover shipping, any insurance and payment fees.

Whiscombe JW80 MK2 with .177,.20,.22 barrels. $4500 plus any shipping/insurance

In nice condition. Please see all photos and judge for yourself. Stock has a few dings but hard to photograph. Still nice.
The .20 and ,22 barrels look good. The .177 barrel has numerous nicks in the outer shroud. Don't know why, that's how I got it.
The velocities are very uniform measured over my Competition Electronics chronograph. See notes last photo.
I am willing to ship and will package everything extra thoroughly.

Rails  SOLD FX Saber top and bottom metal

Looking to clean up the closet a little. I have a set of Saber Tactical top and bottom metal. One is the TRS top rail and the other is an ARCA rail. They’ve been on one of my Impacts for a short time, they are brand new in appearance. No scratches or dings. I’d take $200 for the set. Available only this weekend at that price. If you've priced these new, you’ll know this is a sweet deal. PayPal payments only.

What's your weather like, and are you shooting outside?

Took the dog out, looks clear and the sun is shining. It's only 32 degrees with 20 mph wind, forecast says feels like 17...I believe them. No shooting for me till it gets a bit nicer out there.

Other  Marksman 0035 Disassembly instructions?

AGN'ers!
Good day.
I have inherited a Marksman 0035, break barrel, .177 caliber rifle. I have searched exhaustively for a disassembly instruction video, or information on disassembly, yet cannot find any for this rifle specifically (none on AGN either). There are SOME that look similar, but are not exact, so I'm a little hesitant to start tearing into it with the high-pressure springs inside.
The rifle will not blow any air through the barrel or at the breech seal, so I assume that there is a seal internally somewhere.
Knowing that this is an older rifle and not an expensive one, perhaps it's of no value to try and fix?
Might I be better off selling for parts?
It is in really great shape, almost looks brand new, but I can tell that it has been fired at least a little.
Any of you valued input is appreciated.
Thank you!
Mike

New Member Here

Greetings from the Texas South Plains. I have spent the last three weeks in a really deep rabbit hole and can't get out.
It started simply enough. I got a .25 MRod several years ago not long after they came out. I have three Schmidt & Bender scopes from my PRS days. I now shoot F-class exclusively. Anyway, I was never able to figure out a way to adapt the 34MM scope tube to the dovetail scope mounts on the MRod. Ok, I say, look into something else.
I had no idea how much the PCPs have changed, especially all the adjustability. I didn't know tuning was a thing. Was completely unaware that slugs existed.
Anyway, I have a Ghost coming tomorrow and a microphone for my Labradar to get started. I will use it for backyard pesting and then will take it to my private range and shoot at paper in between F-Class strings.
I'm sure I'll be posting questions if the search function doesn't help.
Thanks much.

P.S. - Sorry to the member who listed a nice .22 Ghost for sale. I was too impatient to make 10 quality posts!

Taipan  Taipan vet 2 bene's

First, let's get the 1 downfall out of the way - no anti double load! I know, because if they had it, the vet 1 would fade into history quickly. Instead, I wish to concentrate on the benefits, or "bene's". Beside the well functioning side lever is the ease of servicing this edition. This is the EASIEST gun to maintain, service, polish the barrel or just about anything else. The major improvement over the vet 1 is the ease of reassembly and not having to worry about the placement of the brackets the vet 1 has. If you ever owned a vet 1, you know what I am saying. want to pull the barrel to polish it, minutes to disassemble and then reassemble. Way faster than the vet 1. want to adjust the reg? many times faster than the vet 1. The reg is the same as the vet 1 in design and adjustment, NOT DIAMETER! But to pull it, readjust it and reassemble it took me 15 minutes beginning to end. This gets habit forming. Now I'm not crapping on the vet 1 , not at all, just showing much love , and deserved love to the vet 2.

FX  Looking at the DRS classic

Was looking at the price & specs for a .25 DRS classic with a 600mm barrel this morning. Price is really not that bad but then I noticed the weight. 13 Pounds! Holy Crap! That's close to twice as much as my FX Boss (7.3 lbs). The DRS Pro is probably lighter but also more than twice the cost. I'd love to have a new long distance airgun but a new hernia, not so much.

N/A  Pumper Education

I am a relative newcomer to adult airguns and in the past several months have migrated from pcp rifle, to springers, to all manner of pistols, to CO2 rifles, to single pump rifles, and now to a multi pumper, my favorite of them all to this point. My current is a Seneca Dragonfly II and I love it. Today I have removed the scope I put on initially and installed a Williams peep. I plan on some extensive range time this morning. But, I am already shopping for another multipump.

Two recent threads on pumpers have stimulated my interest in vintage pumpers. Particularly any with very good accuracy, relatively light weight, wood stock, and reasonable pumping effort for the lower power range. I don't need power, just accuracy and general rifle goodness (balance, looks, trigger, smoothness, etc.). Sheridans and early Crosmans get mentioned a lot on AGN, so I have been looking at those and immediately ran into a couple of problems.

First, I don't know anything about vintage pumpers so I don't know which ones would be a good choice, and I don't know how to determine if one is in good condition mechanically. Second, I am not handy and need one that is in excellent working order, and which would have extensive working life left without repair. I am retired and don't play golf and I shoot a high volume of shots every day, so I don't need anything dainty.

Mr. Google has not given me any clarity on these issues. I did find several online stores that sell vintage airguns, but I have no idea which, if any stores are reliable or, as I mentioned, which rifles I should be looking at.

Is there some book, or blog, or article someone can steer me to that would educate me enough to shop for a suitable rifle?

Is there a short list of classic, generally well-regarded vintage pumpers someone can just list for me?

Is there a professional vintage pumper shopper who can do my shopping for me? (Kidding . . . sorta)

N/A  Why PCP airguns are so expensive?

I bought a Umarex Notos recently for chipmunks control and had to RMA it right away without making a single shot. The barrel moves and wiggles in any direction it wants. That would translate to, I don't know, 10x10 feet groups at 50 yards? If the barrel does not fly away, of course. I partially took it apart in a hope to find something obvious, like was found and fixed in AEA Challenger, but nothing. It is either a defect in manufacturing or missing part.

Anyways. This thing costs almost exactly the same money like Ruger 10/22 does. But Ruger is made in America, with high labor cost, it uses more expensive materials, and the design is better.

AEA Challenger .510 is more expensive, since it is more complex, uses more material, have to deal with greater pressures and energies, wooden stock is more nice, etc. At least I was able to shoot it out of the box and see a dirt splash approximately in the direction I aimed. But, again, it costs as much as a .308 Ruger American Gen 2, which is better designed, uses better materials, has nicer finish, got more R&D, used American labor, etc.

I get it when a hand-assembled and tuned precision machine costs a few grands. It's all about highly skilled labor cost and prestige margin after some point, I get it. But those cheapest guns? Is it PCP demand so hot that airgun vendors mark everything up shamelessly? Or there's a huge hidden cost in the PCP production that I don't see?
