Theoben  Theoben SLR88 FT

So incredibly blessed to have this one. I was fortunate to have prized this one from an incredible collection. It shoots beautifully right under 12 FPE as intended. I can't wait to get a scope on it and find out how accurate the Anschutz barrel is.
I haven't been able to find production numbers but it seems to be no more than about three dozen. Special thanks to Russ (RM100Guy) who educated me on these exceptional rifles when he got his unbelievable example a year or so ago.
I know of 3 here in the states. The one Russel has, this one and another owned by JohnnyPiston. Please let us know if you know of any others or can share any information about these guns.

Portable PCP compressors (Tuxing, Nomad etc) and water in your bottles.

So, I have a Yong Heng and I just ordered a Double headed Tuxing (the one that comes with the radiator and water separator/filters) and I was thinking of adding a portable compressor to the collection. The one thing I'm afraid of is getting water in my PCP bottles. On my Yong Heng I added a large water separator and a large molecular seive filter. I didn't think that the little tampon thing that came with the compressor would do much if anything at all.
However, with these little portable compressor, adding a huge water separator would make little sense, as filling up the separator itself would take almost as filling the bottle in the gun. Whenever I see a video on YouTube of people filling their guns directly from the compressor with nothing but the little tampon filter, I keep picturing little beads of water building up in the bottles and then being shot out with the pellets, affecting accuracy, rusting barrels and all kinds of nasty stuff.
Am I being paranoid?

Tuning  Power or manners?

I have a R1 that I have a love, hate relationship. Mostly hate. I've tuned it in 20 cal and 22 and struggled to get 20 fpe clean. That means without dieseling. After trying a JM kit and a Vortek kit I finally got 19 fpe in 20 caliber and 20 fpe in 22 without dieseling. The gun was harsh, hard to cock and generally unpleasant to shoot. It has flirted with decent accuracy at the expense of trashing a Dampa mount and an Airmax.

Yesterday I dropped the power down to 17.3 fpe in 22 cal and the gun I've always hated is now pleasant to shoot and seemingly accurate. I had to hold off proper accuracy testing today because of significant winds. As the sun went down the winds finally dropped out and I had no problem hitting 1" spinners on the edge of the bluff I'm on at 25 yards. There's a sandbar in the creek at 170 yards with a lone stone surrounded by water I was able to walk in a few shots at. It was a blast to finally enjoy the gun but still somewhat disappointing because it's still far away from the power I'd expect from an R1.

My question is would you dumb down a monster to tame it so you can enjoy it or do you keep pushing it for power to the point you won't enjoy it?

Umarex  Umarex Notos Build

Had some fun with this build after being inspired by some fellow members work.

I'm considering machining a new barrel for it to make it just a touch longer to make some power gains.

Did a small amount of porting, purchased the plenum extension off of eBay, had to recut the threads for it to fit the bottle block I purchased.

I have an Umarex gauntlet tank and regulator installed at the moment, that is set for 2000 PSI. This is getting me roughly 20 FPE with most of the pellets I'm using. I have a small carbon fiber tank with regulator I'm planning on using in the future.

I removed the barrel and turned off the factory moderator in the lathe, wanted to use a slip over style moderator instead. Designed the new mod last night and in 2.5 hours it was fresh off the printer.

I may do some more work to it to refine the gun a little and try and get some more power, if I'm unhappy with a power results I'm getting I will machine a FX liner in 22 to work with this setup.

Brocock/BRK  Ghost lower rail

I’ve been using the PRS lower extension rail on my ghost for as long as I’ve had my rifle, well today that changed. I’ve upgraded to the BRK M-Lok / Arca rail. The design is certainly spot on for what I want and need. Adds a nice bit of protection to the whole underside of my 480cc bottle. I always thought the original rail was to short and the PRS rail helped a lot being about 1/2 the length of my bottle ( I’ve included pictures of all 3 rails to show the lengths ).
The extra weight of the rail is noticeable but not over the top, I don’t really do many free standing shots as I use shooting sticks or my bipod.
The weights of each are as follows-
Original 38g
PRS extended rail 252g
BRK M-Lok / Arca lower rail 348g.
Overall I’m try happy with how it looks and the quality is second to none! If anyone is thinking of getting one, just do it !!

I have been having a lot of fun target shooting and tin can shooting with a few pellet guns. A big plus is my wife also enjoys shooting with me. As a kid my father gave me a Crosman .22 pellet rifle. I must have put untold thousands of pellet through it. My dad and I would set on the back porch and shoot at targets, the large kitchen matches etc. It gave us a chance to talk ( The talk was the important part }! Anyway I am retired and older, so I need something of interest to play with and talk to the wife.

I purchased a couple of Crosman air pistols and a Diana Chaser kit. They all use the small CO2 powerlets. No pumping, no compressors, cheap to shoot and good shooters at 25 to 50 feet. The Chaser with the stock is my favorite of the guns. Now I am thinking of maybe getting another rifle as I like small groups and maybe getting a scope for the new one.

After reading some reviews and watching some YouTube information I am drawn to the Beeman Q78 rifles. I think they are accurate for the price and would be fun to shoot. There are three different models that I have been looking at to buy.

1. QB 78 I do like the look of a traditional wood and steel rifle!
2. QB785 Different stock has a attachment point for a tripod.
3. QB78D Has a multi shot and single shot choice included. I think I would be using only single shot.....more accurate.
None of the above....I have a better suggestion!

PCP Rifle  SOLD [Sold] Brocock Sniper XR .22 (Price Drop)

Bought this rifle a couple of years ago. Shot very little not even a full tin of pellets. Took it out hunting a couple of times. It shoots NSA 17.5gr .217 slugs very well (28fpe), also likes JSB 18gr and 16gr. Built like a tank very consistent.
Reason for sale is that I like the adjust ability on FX guns more.
It'll come with original box, manual, test result from AOA, one magazine, and fill probe. $900 shipped (Firm) I paid $1,500 new.

FX  Help Needed: New Panthera Air Rifle Leaks

Hey everyone,

I'm having a problem with my new 700 mm Panthera air rifle and could use some advice.

Basically, when I removed the air bottle for the first time, all the air pressure from the gun's plenum released through the back air tank port. It's weird because my rifle is still pretty new - I've only shot about 50 rounds.

I wanted to check the barrel for a carbon sleeve, as some folks online said their Pantheras were missing it. So, I started the degassing process by dry-firing, and that's when I noticed the air leak.

I followed a tutorial on YouTube to check the barrel, and I did find the carbon sleeve, but it seemed shorter than it should be.

When I put everything back together, all the air left in the tank leaked from the barrel.

I haven't had a chance to refill the air tank or research the leaks further, but I'm worried because this rifle wasn't cheap.

Has anyone else had this happen? Any ideas on how to fix it?

Thanks for any help you can offer!

FX  Brand New FX Impact M3 not firing

Hello everyone,

This is my first post here, been a lurker from quite some time lol.
I finally decided to get an FX Impact M3 and was very excited when it arrived. After filling it up to 230 bars, I wanted to try it but the rifle wouldn't shoot...
I'm not sure what the problem is, it's like there's something blocking the hammer from hitting the valve because when I press on the trigger I can hear a loud "KLANG'...

I've seen a post here about the same thing but on an FX Wildcat MK3 BT, turns out it was a security screw that was installed for shipping the gun, but I can't find it on the Impact...

FYI, there's still air inside the bottle and no leaks.

Has anyone encountered this problem ?

It's been a while since I did any posting. Here's my JW80 MK2 with 3 barrels.
A member recently got me up and shooting this rifle. He suggested I get a chronograph for testing.
Just got a Competion Electronis with Blue Tooth.Have shot all 3 calibers.
I am amazed at the consistent velocities I'm getting from all 3.

.25 caliber 41 grain ZAN slugs

Has anyone else noted the difference between the older (grey-ish) ZAN 41 grain .25 caliber and the new (silver/shiny) slugs? The 41 grain (old) from a Superior Slug liner at 955 fps is lights out in my 700mm Impact. The new ones I couldn't group any better than a softball at 100 yards. I'd love to be able to get the old version, since the new version is useless to me...
