PCP Rifle  NLA FX Wildcat MKIII bare receiver

Selling an FX Wildcat MKIII bare receiver with hammer spring adjuster knob & screw. Long story short, I bought a Wildcat MKIII from a member and it wasn't as pristine as described, there were signs of heavy use and tinkering of the rifle. The hammer adjuster screw threads are partially stripped at the outer end as shown in the photo. There is also a hairline crack in the thread area due to the thinness of the casting and excessive stress put on the adjuster knob. It can still hold the screw but not with heavy preload. It may be a fully functioning part if the threads were extended farther into the receiver and a longer screw was used. Might be good for someone wanting to do some sort of customized build. I didn't have time to mess with it and ended up buying new parts from FX to fix the rifle.

Would like to sell it to recover a small portion of the cost for the new parts I had to buy. $40.00 plus shipping. I'd also be open to offers. Payment by Paypal F&F.

FX  New DRS deep dive video

Just saw this great video this morning:
The barrel housing looks quite different/new/thicker/stiffer at 24 minute mark, very interesting. Also confirmed my suspicion that DRS is NOT a panthera/dynamic competitor even though it supposed could be a high priced PRS competition gun.

Part 2:

When mine get here I'll be tuning it down for sub12 FT competition, it's a cool platform that has a lot of potential still.

HW/Weihrauch  Easter teaser for WOOD lovers..

This is Farrah. It has as much feather as her. 😆. … Its for a project I’m finalizing very soon . I’ll post later . Just thought it was to good to not share a sneak peak of this feather crotch beauty.. It will sit now for a week and then final oil/rotten stone polish, and but pad clean up. Oil dirtiys them when finishing them.. it has to cure before any solvents are used to clean them. HAPPY EASTER …. 🍻

like I tell my Girl.. “Good wood is hard to find, Hard wood is good to find”. 🤣

Rat airborne

Rats are very hard to terminate without using traps. It takes too much time and effort for each rat. This one triggered the alarm more than 5 times over the course of 3 hours. The motion webcam often misses the rat because it is in and out of view before the video capture starts.

Rats don't stay still for very long so you have to be quick. Quick isn't conducive to being precise. At my current skill level, if I took my time my aim is good for about 1", but I didn't have that the time with rats. That's why I passed on the 1st opportunity for a head shot. I probably would have missed and it would have been scared off. So I had to be patient and wait for a better body shot where aim isn't so important. Still the shot was far from ideal. Luckily I used a 60 fpe .25 instead of my 12 fpe .177 so the rat still died quickly.

Rats like the bong too! :ROFLMAO:

Other  Was just shooting these

The little guy surprised me,just getting broken in.I was looking for my HW50 and a little guy got in the way, and says to me I can shoot just as good plus I am better built,I was taken back,

ok little guy I don't expect much from you yet;I do have a JM kit waiting to install in you.
Little guy has a strong pull to break,he surprised me because he shot as well as the German ones, Anyone knows who "little guy" is?

Trouble!

A couple months back I sustained an eye damage. I've been playing with the doctors for a couple of months and have another appointment here in about 30 days but I'm not sure and they're not sure if there's any real repair to this. I've lost the ability to see my targets clearly at 100 yards I can still shoot 50 with quite a bit of strain. My desire for a 50 Power Scope is now becoming a, I think, necessity. However, I'm looking at the NiKKo stirling and the falcon. I know that the Nikko will get a little foggy at 50 power but I don't need it to 50. probably up only the 40 and the price is right at around 800. I'm looking for any advice and experience on the Nikko and others but, being retired and on Social Security with a budget, $800 is a lot better than 11 and 13 and 15 and 18 and 19. Thanks in advance.

Taipan  Taipan Veteran help

For those gurus or not so gurus ;)
My beloved Veteran 25 Long finally has failed me after many years of great performance, which is understandable.
It has developed a leak from the barrel breech but it’s only when I pull the lever to cock the gun, no leak when it’s closed but the rifle won’t fire.
Here is a short video to show you the problem. Before I start taking it apart I would like to know what could possibly be the problem, I couldn’t find a disassembly video. my guess is a broken valve stem or breech oring?
Any info will be great!

I Asked Google AI to Write A Poem About Airguns.

Here is what I got. LOL

The cool air nips, the sun hangs low,
A canvas stretched, the fields aglow.
Not lead nor fire, but whispered hush,An air gun held, a gentle crush.

The weight of wood, a polished gleam,
A beady sight, a focused dream.
A target waits, a distant ring,
Where feathered flight takes wing on wing.

A careful breath, a steady hand,
The pump's soft sigh across the land.
The pellet clicks, a silent vow,
To test the skill, and bring it down.

A finger tight, a trigger squeeze,
A puff of air that sets it free.
A fleeting hiss, a moment's flight,
Then wood it meets, with gentle bite.

No deafening boom,
no startled cry,
Just nature's peace beneath the sky.
A skill that tests, a focus keen,
Respect for life, on a grassy scene.

The target falls, a paper prize,But in the heart, a different prize. The joy of aim, the patient quest,A bond with nature, put to test.

So let the sun dip low and red,The air gun hums, the thoughts are fed.A quiet sport, a mindful art,Where skill and nature play their part.

N/A  Springer Accuracy?

Unless the discussion is referring to a “Match Springer” as in a Feinwerkbau 300, Diana 75, possibly a Weihrauch 55, or the like, it seems to me the word “Target and Springer” are a contradiction of terms. Yet this term is used quite often with springers that shoot quarter and larger size groups at mere 20 yards. I guess I’m old school but “Target Accuracy” once meant a single hole in the dead center of a bull at 10 meters. Just wondering if I didn’t get the memo. What does “Target Accuracy” with a springer mean to yall?
Target vs Pesting?

FX  I broke my newly acquired Wildcat MK3...please help (Updated - everything is good to go)

I was in the process to put back the CF bottle and all of a sudden it started hissing and would not seal. I took it off and on a couple of times today to set my regs and had no issues.

See pictures....what did I damage? Did I strip the threads around the nozzle or in the bottle?

What is the fix to this?

I was looking forward to enjoying today and tomorrow as we have not had good weather in a while but this completely put a wrench in my plans of tinkering and getting my gun set-up how I wanted.

Thanks for your help
