I made a Gun Specs Table for the Zbroia brand, for anyone interested.


To me, it seems to be a lower high end brand: good quality, at a reduced price.

Since I assembled this for my Peruvian airgun buddies, please excuse my Spanish. I'm sure most of the specs a self-explanatory as they are just numbers....

Picked this up on a whim and really just not my style so moving it along…..

In great shape, regs are solid, gun is factory with the exception of an 8 gram hammer that was installed……

Right now on a reg pressure of 100 bar at power level 1 shooting the 44.75 at 905. Has the 1:40 twist liner installed.

Hey there, new here and new to the air gun world. Not sure what I got myself into tbh, this is much more expensive than any of my hunting firearm set ups .

I started looking into it as I was interested in night time coyote hunting, the quietness of everything is appealing, and much to my surprise I'm thousands of $$ into this now and fully committed. Acoustics Question: Projectile Flight Noise 𐃘 How to keep it down? ​

For a good while now, I am trying to reduce the noise that my shooting causes.

I've looked at the following:

Discharge Noise
➠ Eliminate spring guns.


Muzzle Noise
➠ Use lower power (of course, that's a given).
➠ Use a silencer, that is both long and has a large volume and small passage ways.
➠ Tune for a shorter sip of air that is at a higher regulator pressure (e.g., 8% below the max. on the power curve is better than 2%).


Impact Noise
➠ Avoid paper and cardboard targets. Instead use some type of synthetic/ plastic sheets and draw bulls on those.
➠ Soften the impact using rubber mulch or similar filler material. This is primarily for target shooting, but can also be done for shots on quarry if they often show up at the same places (e.g. a bait station).
➠ On quarry: Use slower impact velocities, smaller calibers, and projectiles that enter the flesh smoothly (pointed heads, or domes, rather than wadcutters and hollow points).



Projectile Flight Noise
That's a new one to me!
Twice now people have been telling me at private shooting ranges that they could hear the flight of the projectile wizzing by!

Here are my questions:

➊ What's quieter? Slugs or diabolo pellets?
¿Domed pellets or hollow point pellets

➋ What's quieter? Faster or slower projectiles? (below the speed of sound, that is)

➌ Is there an ideal quiet velocity — for either slugs or pellets?


For example: I wonder if the whizzing noise of my projectile would be less it I shot a .22cal pellet at 30FPE, or a .30cal pellet at 30FPE, or a .22cal slug at 40FPE?


Thanks for any input you might have! Physics was never my strong suit — I barely passed it....

Received a gorgeous .30 Daystate Black Wolf Chassis with Tube last week. Barb and Tony brought it with them from AZ to OR in the AoA traveling van. This one has the 23 inch pellet barrel. The barrel is tensioned.

First impression:
- fit and finish are excellent.
- very good looking gun.
- well balanced.
- trigger is perfect. Very much like the RAW TM1000 I had six or seven years ago.
- power adjust and reg adjust very simple.
- mags only hold 8 pellets, but function flawlessly.

First shooting:
- very solid gun
- action is very smooth, easy cocking.
- only gets about 24 shots per 250 bar fill - tube is 300cc.
- I installed an Athlon Ares ETR scope
- I brought 4 different tins of pellets to try, AEA 50.5, AEA 45, DS RangeMaster 50.1 and DS RangeMaster 44.75.
- from factory gun was tuned too hot with reg at 145 bar, and power wheel at about 10 or 11.
- it shot the 45 grainers at about 940-950 fps and the 50s at about 905-915 fps.
- AEA 50.5 Meh, BC 0.066
- AEA 45 good, BC 0.060
- RM 50.1 good, BC 0.051
- RM 44.75 very good, BC 0.049 and when I dialed the power wheel to 3 they were excellent. I think with reducing reg to about 125 and dialing up power wheel to get them at 900-910 they will be MOA at 100Y.
- very smooth shooting action with very little gun movement. And it moves straight back and not at all upwards.
- used a ZerodB moderator and it quieted the gun down very well.

More to follow, I will properly tune the gun, and shoot some groups at various speeds at 100Y, and then shoot some EBR style targets.

I bought it initially with a Vortex Diamondback 4-12 MOA scope with the scope mounted rings (I don't recall brand). The rifle currently have Sportmatch 30mm rings mounted but they will not fit the included scope. Took a picture of the only ding that I noticed on the butt and purposely didn't mask it. holy cow.. i will never understand why something that can fit in a letter envelope can have an $11 dollar shipping fee and take this long to get to me(not yet arrived), yet a pcp rifle will get to me in 4-5 days with free shipping. i can’t help but feel like there’s some tom foolery business practices from “reputable” ebay sellers.

So my friend got one of these, and it almost will not record speeds of anything on his DRS, but strange enough it work fine on several other rifles, some of them M30 SP / artemis ones that’s the same kind of rifle like a DRS

On my Two the chrono of course worked fine.
Until now.
Now it constantly loose connection to my phone, and a window pop up in the app, mind you it will still do its thing in the background, for a little while then it is for real lost and i will have to go to add devise again as the APP will be scanning for a connection. fully charged of course and1 M between chrono and phone.

So while it is connected for a few minutes it log all my shots and do NOT give off the crazy high / low speeds it will call out of thin air when attached on my friends DRS
This can be "shots " it log between 0 fps to several thousand fps,,,,, and no shot was fired, it can do this for a few seconds on its own just calling out speeds of 10 - 15 not existing shots.

Meanwhile my V1 FX pocket chrono are rock steady on my rifle and on my friends DRS too.

The chrono have already been replaced by the dealer 1 time, and TBH i am where it might be smarter to just get a refund CUZ this thing is worthless and a source of immense frustrations for my friend,,,,,,, actually i am amazed he have not yet flatted it with a hammer,,,,, nothing but grief.

I have a screen recording i will add later when i am finished cutting it down and uploading it..

Any suggestions are welcome, but i have to fix this by Thursday or it will be going back for a refund and my friend will be chrono less.

We are moving oversees shortly and the destination country requires a hunting license to use a .22. As such I have decided to sell my beloved Weihrauch HW80 .22 and Taipan Veteran .22 so someone else can enjoy them as much as I have. Most likely I will pick up .177 on the other end when we are settled. I never sold anything online before, so could some with more experience in the classified area, share how I would go about the process specifically with respect to payment to avoid scams (to avoid charge-back, non-payment)? Search didn't point me to anything obvious, if I missed something than links to existing posts would be most welcome, too. I read the two articles that Michael posted a while back which are helpful.

I purchased this pistol last summer and have only put 30 rounds through it. While I’ve enjoyed using it, I’m currently looking to invest in a new .357 revolver to add to my collection. The pistol is in excellent, near-new condition.


It includes everything shown in the photos, including the case. Please note that the original box is not available. The moderator has seen minimal use but is included as well. Although only one magazine is shown in the picture, the firearm comes with two magazines.

I have one coming in the mail and am curious who is casting bullets/slugs for these barrels and if so what mold are you using and what diameter is working?

I'm a bullet caster of 40 years and have a few short .22 bullet molds and sizers to size them down to .218 as of now. I shot a few short 35g bullets sized to .220 in my seneca and they shot decent but magazine feeding was dicey and they would often fall backwards out of the mag and lock the gun up.

another question, does anyone make a 1-16 twist .224 barrel for these?

There are a few Blackwolf threads floating around, but I thought I'd make one to centralize knowledge sharing for people who actually own one.

First question, what ammo are you having luck with, and with which barrel?

For me, I have only tried JSB Exact Monster Redesigned (Shallow skirt) in .22. They were recommended to me from AoA and I got 5 tins with my initial Blackwolf purchase. But I'm not feeling they are "the one" and am looking for others to try.
