FX  DRS Pro .22 Cast Bullets?

I have one coming in the mail and am curious who is casting bullets/slugs for these barrels and if so what mold are you using and what diameter is working?

I'm a bullet caster of 40 years and have a few short .22 bullet molds and sizers to size them down to .218 as of now. I shot a few short 35g bullets sized to .220 in my seneca and they shot decent but magazine feeding was dicey and they would often fall backwards out of the mag and lock the gun up.

another question, does anyone make a 1-16 twist .224 barrel for these?

Daystate  Blackwolf owners discussion

There are a few Blackwolf threads floating around, but I thought I'd make one to centralize knowledge sharing for people who actually own one.

First question, what ammo are you having luck with, and with which barrel?

For me, I have only tried JSB Exact Monster Redesigned (Shallow skirt) in .22. They were recommended to me from AoA and I got 5 tins with my initial Blackwolf purchase. But I'm not feeling they are "the one" and am looking for others to try.

Huben  Succumbed to the unrelenting pressure

Yes I did, after 6 months of Huben Huben Huben…. I broke down and ordered one from KRAZ Kool last night.
I ve got a Reximex rpa which I’m perfectly satisfied with but like I said H H H .
So I’ve got red dots on my 2 pistols and want a scope on the Huben. Doesn’t seem to be much of a selection.
Looks like the Burris 2-7 is the front runner. I want to order today.
ahh found UTG 2-7 on amzon for less than 1/2 the price of the Burris , just ordered

HW/Weihrauch  Stretching a HW77 .22 to 75m

Welcome all,

I’ve achieved a major goal in my springer career. Today I was able to range my 77 out to 75m and beat up on a little 3.5” spinner plate. I would’ve tried the 2.5” plate, but I couldn’t see it haha.

PCP Rifle  SOLD Benjamin Discovery .22 (with TKO moderator, Marauder trigger and .177 barrel included)

Selling a Benji DIscovery

I am the original and only owner. Have had this gun since about 2014. It was my first PCP and later my boys learned how to shoot with it.

It is certainly used and has marks and signs of wear. No rust on the metal.

The stock has been redone a few times, and modified. The section of stock behind the black line can be removed to reduce the length of pull by about 3 inches, making it fit a kid in the 4-8 year old range pretty well. When the rear section of stock is removed, the black line becomes the butt plate. When in place, as pictured, the stock is typical Discovery length.

Gun will come as pictured with a Marauder trigger installed and trigger guard in place, and the tube spacer that prevents sear drag. Marauder trigger is about 1000X the trigger that comes on a DIscovery. I will include the DIsco trigger in a parts bag. The Marauder trigger that's on it is super light, probably just a few ounces. I'll include the "lawyer spring" that can be simply dropped in to make it a couple pounds, in case the intent is to teach a kid to shoot.

My last notes show I was getting 20 shots of about 18fpe each, filling to 1800 psi. This was with a slight amount of hammer tension added.

Gun was resealed a few years ago and holds air without leaking.

Rear fiber optic factory sights are installed. Front sight is not fiber optic.

Will also include the press fit TKO22 Moderator designed for the DIscovery. Makes it VERY quiet.

Will ship double boxed in original box.

The .22 barrel is quite accurate with most JSB pellets in the 13-18grain range. I didn't ever shoot it much as a .177, but I remember that it liked the .177 Polymags. Might need a .177 probe....I just don't remember.

Not trying to make a killing, but factoring in that shipping is likely to be $50ish....so $215 shipped to lower 48. PayPal FF or mail me a check and wait for it to clear.

RAW's Cameron Kerndt Takes Gold in Long-Range at Oregon Competition

Cameron Kerndt Takes Gold in Long-Range at Oregon Competition

We’re thrilled to announce that AirForce & RAW team shooter Cameron Kerndt secured a Gold Medal this past weekend at the Ashland, Oregon Benchrest, EFT, and Long-Range Shoot.

He delivered an incredible performance in the long-range competition, earning top honors against a strong field. Targets were placed at challenging distances of 140, 167, 187, 249, and 298 yards.

John McCaslin, President and owner of Rapid Air Worx and AirForce Airguns said “More and more shooters are taking advantage of RAW’s ‘out of the box’ accuracy and consistency that provides a great starting point to keep pushing the performance envelope“.

“This RAW is extraordinarily docile and makes power extremely easily,” Cameron shared. “It’s incredibly efficient, quiet, and deadly accurate at distance.”

Cameron’s performance is a true testament to his precision, dedication, and mastery of long-range shooting. We’re proud to have him on the team and can’t wait to see what he achieves next!

Congratulations, Cameron!

FX  Crown Mk2 Hammer Damage question

Raining all day so dissembling one of my Crowns to tune trigger further.

Is this type of damage typical on Crown hammer in locations where sear catches?

I’m just shooting pellets at modest velocities. I’m not using what would be considered a lot of hammer spring preload.

If typical, disappointing and will make maintaining over time a consistent sear release a challenge.

Thanks,

-Ed

N/A  A PCP Day

First thing this morning I had three spots Nitrogen frozen on my head (one of which gave me a brain freeze without the ice cream!) and two biopsies taken...

So I decided no yard work today, it was all about my PCPs....

First up was my Revere in .22 Cal. I consider myself anymore a wobbly shooter but that thing knocks the X out time after time. After a couple of fills I started getting puffs of air from out of the stock and my shot velocity dropped off drastically after about 9 shots. I think the o-ring at the transfer port went bad? I did not have a chronograph until recently. After I receive my reseal kit which I just ordered, what should be my factory FPS with JSB Diabolo 18.13Gr pellets? And shot count? Anybody know the factory hammer spring turns?

So, next up was my Avenge-X tactical carbine which I bought a couple of weeks ago. (I only own two PCPs). Things started our great, then I started to get two POIs? Noticed my shroud was slipping forward about 1/8" after each shot. The grub screw on that collar had come loose. No problem, fixed that.

Then the agony of defeat. The three position switch on my Rovair compressor failed. Arg. Almost clicked By Now on Ebay even if it was $19.95. At this point I didn't care. Until I noticed $115 shipping! (Found one on Amazon for $3.95 that will be here tomorrow.)

And I got into PCPs because I didn't want to spend $200 on a PB silencer tax stamp.

No worries, after reading up on this forum I knew what I was getting into.

Now I am going to sit out back and have some Blanton's with my buddy.

New Scope or Not (Hawke vs Athlon)

I’m relatively new to HFT and would appreciate help/suggestions purchasing a new scope. I currently have a .177 Daystate Revere with a Hawke Airmax 30 WA SF 6-24x50 Mrad. The rifle is great and I’m satisfied with the scope. HOWEVER, based on what I’ve read on this and other forums, I’m wondering if an Athlon Heras SFP 6-24x50 1/10 Mrad with the APRS7 reticle would be an improvement over the Hawke from a quality of optics standpoint? Or would I be just as well off or maybe better off, working on technique?
Another question. With the exception of the Hawke all the other scopes I own are MOA. I don’t currently shoot or plan to shoot NRL or other long range games. Since HFT limits a scope to 16x and does not allow clicking to adjust for range, doesn’t the difference between MOA and Mrad become a moot point? I’d appreciate your comments. Thanks, Tom

PCP Rifle  SOLD Uragan II .25 600mm Red/ With factory Upgrades. Very good price.

Purchased new from TT early this year (25)
This is yet another airgun that likely won't make it to the range as my range is half an hour away.
Add a job layoff and I have to knock the ones down that will be safe queens.
Here is my 3 month old Uragan II .25. Beautiful red laminate example.
It's set up to shoot 37 grain Zan .250's at 880 fps but I won't know how they work because It won't get to the range.
It also shoots knockouts over the chrono at 930 fps as well.
You will see some dust in some of the photos on the finish.

Everything works well, ES is very good and holds air like it should.
Comes in AGT bag with all the AGT things that came with it.

The upgrades,

Eagle Vision 1/2 unf muzzle adapter.
1 Extra magazine.
Aluminum bottle cage with aluminum bottom rail as well as picatinny to m-lok mount. (all very solid )
Outgun 25mm digital Re-Chargeable gauge with outgun offset gauge mount and charging cable.

So about $500 in upgrades but I'm not going to ask for what I put into it like it's new even though it's never been to the range.

I have about $1725 into give or take and am wanting $1375 shipped insured to lower 48 only.
Ships same or next day.

Paypal please and ff not needed.
Good seller rating.

FX  Got my king .25 today

Finaly got it after 2 days stuck in the transport.
And what a faboulus looking thing :D
( Grs green Mountain camo).
It is heavy And feels realy solid.
The reg had had i bit og creep cuz it was showing 125bar when I opend the box but after first shot it went down to 115 And stayed there. Dont know if it needs to settle in?
And i tried 25 And 34gr pellets, 26,5gr 33gr And 37gr slug And the 26,5gr slug was the only slug/pellets that were in the "area" it should be (975), the pellets where 990 And 1060 so guess its not tuned for that out of the box xD

The only thing i have to put my finger on is that on fx site it says regulator is externaly adjustable but its not at all with the king since the stock is in the way, im realy tempted to just drill my own hole so I dont have to take it off to adjust.

My First Rifle, Predator Control

Hello All,
I'm shopping for my first rifle. I'm very interested in the sport of it but mostly my needs are predator control for my chicken coop.
I really hope to keep this first purchase less than $400. I know that's peanuts but I'm hopeful. I've settled on a PCP in 25 caliber and was lucky to already find a brand new Spritech pump on an overstock site.
I'm looking at the Hatsan Flashpup 25 and the Beeman Bullpup 25. I much prefer the Bullpup design but also considering Air Venturi Avenger 25.
I'm hopeful one like this will meet my needs on a budget. Any advice would really be appreciated. I'm a bit overwhelmed being so green.
Thank you
