Hello all, I'm new to the group and have enjoyed learning from you. I've been shooting PCP since 2011 with the same 22 cal. Benjamin Marauder. I filled it with air from a used scuba tank and loaded it with JSB pellets. Never had to repair anything and really enjoyed it. I recently purchased a FX Impact M3 Compact in 25 cal. and a little compressor and between my son, son-in-law, and grandson we have put just over 1200 pellets through it. My little back yard range has targets at 50, 100, and 150 yards shooting out of a window in my wife's upstairs quilting studio. She granted us a space of 12x5 feet for our adventures with the only restrictions being the use of moderators on the rifles. The best news is all of the boys are now hooked on PCP and multiple rifles have been purchased by them. I guess they assume the air will be free.

So I've noticed a huge uptick in this particular species in my area. They get me sometimes thinking they're a grackle. The water drip call they make gives them away.

Anyhow, I had to look these up because they were never around here before a couple years ago, and their numbers are growing.

These are fair game to pop if they're a nuisance like grackles, right?

Some companies don't think before they put their branding into the market... maybe they are great, maybe not. Either way I have a hard time buying the "Rifle Destroyer"

I know many of us shoot sparrows and starlings. When it comes to a bird feeder,any recommendations on which 1 you prefer? We all get the occasional pass through/miss that will strike the feeder. Do you like wood or metal feeders better for durability? Any links to 1 that has held up well?

Just curious those that have one what do you think of it ? Seems they are unavailable to import into the states. Largely out of stock seemingly since first shipment came in. The other odd thing is the few that are available are just sitting not selling. Makes me hesitant about them even though I love the looks.

A friend was facing issues of POI shift with his Impact.

Just like my own Impact I started the procedure of making a solid barrel out of FX original liner.

Following are some pics of the process that started from making the outer surface of liner a bit rough then wrapping thread around the liner, then applying a very hard and sturdy glue on the liner wrapped with thread. The threads gap filled with the hard glue.

After getting it hardened, sanded the surface of the hardened glue to the extent that it could enter the barrel housing that I have made out of high grade stainless steel.

The process is at this stage at this time.

The next step would be applying epoxy between the prepared liner and the stainless steel housing.

The last step would be to bring the Impact as close to free floating system as possible.

I’m in the need to make a new spring press for both springs and rams. Struggled with mine yesterday to insert a newly rebuilt ram. I’m looking for creative minds that have an “old reliable“ that I can copy from. Please show us all your ideas. Thank you.

Hi I'm new in Land O' Lakes just moved from Fort Lauderdale, wanna connect with people with the same passion for airguns and learn about the area and the hazards. I have an Fx Maverick 177 and I'm in the market for a bigger caliber to make sure I can put up with bigger threats on my property which include gators, water moccasins, etc. Any advice and/or gun shop info would be appreciated.

Got a high end.22 new gun but it's barrel was not shooting good.

Inspected it and found that the breach was tight while the muzzle was loose.

Strange.

Installed another barrel of same make and all things got aligned. It became laser as usually these guns are known for

Machined the breach end and developed a proper lead.

Then choked the muzzle end.



Then pushed through it some pellets of JSB 18 grain and then 25 grain redesigned.

Here are pics of pellets pushed through this polygonal barrel.

Sorry for my dirty hands due to this project.



Pellets look a bit better but still no accuracy as before.

It might have some other manufacturing issue.

Trying to find a BSA barrel or to make a solid barrel out of FX liner to fix this issue.

Was Just wondering what those who have the Krait Lite think? I like the idea of the externally adjustable reg but have only owned a few that had that feature and am not sure it would be missed unless you had the first version. I think it's a few hundred less which is also nice but I'm just wondering what everyone thinks? I'm trying to talk my Airmaks buddy into buying one so I can put my hands on one lol.. His Katran LB is a tack driver from the word go, and I don't think he thinks he needs it.

I tried the thread the needle, and missed a little low. All that practice and I missed this little guy. I saw a second rat take off with it once it was up on the fence.

I might have to leave something irresistible for them tonight for a second chance.

Given that all regulators fail and they do... with the newer guns (Huben K1, etc) that have reservoirs up to 5000psi, how long do you think the present technology of regulators will last having to regulate that high a pressure down to reasonable usable levels?

Just curious and thinking out loud.

I know I have already stopped pumping my Benjamin Fortitude to 3000psi because the regulator is creeping. It creeps much less if I only pump the tube up to ~2600-2700psi.

Yes, that means I do have to pump more often, but the shot consistency is much better, especially that FIRST shot which is critical if you hunt or pest.

I picked up a 22 cal Diana bandit from another member a few months back. I’m just used to high end stuff. It’s not bad, just not for me. This outfit comes with a buckrail folding, adjustable stock. An alteros regulator, a Hawkeye red dot sight also from buckrail. 1 factory mag and 2 carm mags. And fill probe. I’ll throw in 3 tins of CPHP pellets and a hatsan bipod. The front buckrail section is cut, scratch marks on beginning of mod and a chip on the folding stock that’s not easy to find, but it’s in the pics- full disclosure.
