PCP Pistol  NLA Diana Bandit 22 cal carbine - final reduction

I picked up a 22 cal Diana bandit from another member a few months back. I’m just used to high end stuff. It’s not bad, just not for me. This outfit comes with a buckrail folding, adjustable stock. An alteros regulator, a Hawkeye red dot sight also from buckrail. 1 factory mag and 2 carm mags. And fill probe. I’ll throw in 3 tins of CPHP pellets and a hatsan bipod. The front buckrail section is cut, scratch marks on beginning of mod and a chip on the folding stock that’s not easy to find, but it’s in the pics- full disclosure. Anyways, $195 shipping included, PayPal F&F. Conus only , Negotiable, thank you.

Traditional Rifle  SOLD HW30 Deluxe .20 tuned/chopped by John in PA w/ 1/2 unf, Macari, Bunshnell Trophy 4-12 AO Japan, case, Tanto

I'm getting out of the hobby and selling all my stuff.

For sale is a HW30 in .20 with Macari tuned and chopped by John in PA and barrel threaded w/ 1/2 unf with upgraded gold trigger. I bought this gun new from Airguns of Arizona before upgrading it. It started as a HW30 Deluxe. If you want this gun in .20 caliber in the US, you have to pay a premium for the Deluxe model and the caliber size from any of the dealers. At one point I had 6 different HW30s and changed one of the other stocks onto this one.

Gun also comes with a Bushnell Trophy scope made in japan 4-12 high contrast w/ AO, sports match rings, Donny FL tanto, and nice UTG case (see pics). Does NOT come with any of the shooting bags.

I'm only selling this all as a set so I don't have to make multiple transactions.

Price is $450 $500 shipped firm. PayPal F&F or add 3%.

No trades.

Umarex made in Germany?

... so in my recent Internet travels I saw a remark , that Umarex , though a German company and based in Germany, does not actually manufacture their air guns in Germany. I heard Taiwan (verified), and possibly other countries. I was pretty much salivating at the thought of getting a German made gun, or several. Any thoughts?

I bought this Walther PPQ replica from Gunbroker.com a while back, and never even questioned that the gun was a German made unit. Did not look at the packaging at all really (cheap plastic pkg) and any manual that may have come, lost on the boat somewhere. I guess it's probably Taiwan made

Questions from a newbie

Hello everyone. I’m in the process of buying a pcp for the second time. First time was nearly ten years ago, and never really used my Marauder so I sold it. Jump ahead nearly ten years. I’m looking again to get a pcp, this time for deer hunting. I live in Florida, sold my browning bar .270, (I may have been stupid for doing that). Pretty much would like recommendations on what caliber to get and what brand. I have been researching a lot so I’m not totally clueless, but just wanted opinions on what would be worth my money. If they make one, is there any that could possibly be dialed down to small game hunt them turned up and used for deer? If not then that’s ok. I have other guns for small game if I had to.

Other  AG4P pistol a scam?

So this guy Maurice and his pistol that defies the laws of physics has been discussed before.
Since then there has been no update and he ignored all my inquiry emails.

He is now accepting "donations"

I remember there were a couple of members who know this guy in person and such.

Is he really a scammer? Does anybody know what's going on or can reach him?

the following is the link to his pistol

Thanks in advance for anyone who can chime in.

Daystate  daystate revere cocking lever

I've had my Revere for 6 months now and about a month ago the cocking lever started to pop open after firing a shot. The screw where it pivots was loose and after tightening it the lever would stay closed after a shot. It is doing it again, and I have tightened the screw again. Has anyone else encountered this?

FX  What does this tell me about my tune (Wildcat MK3 BT)

Hey folks, I have read several threads and watched AEAC Vlogs about tuning FX airguns with dual AMP regs.

After going through a bit of a problem with my Wildcat MK3 when it was out of commission for a week or so, I got a chance to fix it and play around with the regulators and HS adjustment today.

So, what does the following data tell me? I am so new to the PCP world that I am not sure if the results I share below are good or is there something else that could be done to make the gun more efficient overall.

DATA:
Caliber: .30
Barrel: 600mm
Front regulator: 145 bar
Rear regulator: 115 bar
PW: 7
HS: 1 and 1/2 turn CCW from absolute bottom. (I tried turning it counterclockwise more but it did not gain me additional FPS) Eventually, I turned the HS 6 turns CCW (testing fps after each full turn) and FPS started to drop.

Currently shooting JSB 44.75 grain at 875fps (ES 10 fps over 75 shots) at PW7. This yields 72-75 shots from 250 bar down to 115 bar.

If I turn the PW to 6, my average fps is around 850fps. PW 5 yields around 820fps and so forth.

I am happy with the results as far as accuracy at 40 yards (max range for what I use it for, hunting/pest control). I believe the shot count is great for a .30 cal producing 76fpe.

However, being so new to the PCP world, I am of the thought that I do not know what I do not know.

So is there anything that I need to do to fine tune this rifle or did I find a sweet spot for my needs?

Thanks and if all this sounds like I am being OCD, let me know. ;)

Evanix  Should EVANIX Bring Back FULL-AUTO Rifles? (New Models)

What's your opinion? Should Evanix come out with some fully-automatic PCP rifles again? Not the same ones, but something new. The ones in this video are 10 years old now. I think they stopped making them due to political reasons surrounding certian events...and now 10 years later people are gushing about a Western Rattler that does 1.5 inch groups at 50 yards on semi auto.... huh??? I think it's time for Evanix to do Full-Auto again.

Pellets from Amazon

I just got some pellets from Amazon. Not the first time I've ordered from them and it probably will not be the last. There is a dent in the bottom of the tin as you can probably see in the picture. But the pellets look fine. They shipped in a lightly padded bag. I don't expect the pellets to arrive in pristine tins. But most of my orders have contained pellets in pretty good shape, like these. The tins that looked mangled got sent back.

But the reason I order from Amazon is I can get them fast. This tin cost me the same per tin as the best price I saw from other sources. Amazon included shipping, however, and the others did not. So it didn't cost me extra. I ordered 5 tins from another retailer Friday afternoon and they haven't shipped yet. I ordered this tin Saturday (when I saw the other order hadn't shipped) and it arrived today. I think 1-2 day delivery is worth something too.

Their price is not always as good as I got on this order and I would worry the chance of damage would be greater on a larger (and heavier) order. But for a tin or two, especially if I need them quickly, I think amazon is a viable option.

Karma/Paying it Forward

It's occurred to me that over the past 7 or 8 years I've been into airguns & the time on this forum that I must have spent a couple hundred dollars sending parts to people in need, either those near the beginning of the learning curve or someone having an "airgun emergency" or something like that. One of the BEST things AGN has given to me is being able to be of service! I love this Sport, Hobbie, Activity, Obsession, Addiction (either or ALL of those for me) & the sharing of needed parts or knowledge I've accrued. I've made some great friends & hunting pals over the years. Invaluable stuff! Though my intended purpose was to help out, not seeking anything in return (other than it makes me feel good to do so) some great, unintended things have come my way. I've been "gifted" scopes, compressors, a GREAT airgun, gun cases, couple bipods, etc. More things than I can remember. But still, for me, the BEST has been the camaraderie & friendships. Those came through helping out & being helped out by others.

So people, especially the ones just starting to learn, keep remembering to pay it forward if someone's been kind & helpful. Build those Karma credits. You'll be glad & grateful you did & that you got to help someone else on this journey. It can be a truly rewarding experience!

Tank cant be filled after hydro

I have a 6 year old carbon tank and Joe Brancato TJ3 valve that was just sucessfully hydro tested.
i asked them to fill it and was told there was some issue with their compressor, so i ended with 2900 PSI.
took it home and didnt touch it for weeks. Tank held air without issue.
went to local paintball shop for 4500 PSI fill and when he hooked it up, the tank wont take any air.
I have gone to this shop before. We verified they had 4500 PSI upstream and filled several other tanks to be sure.
Opened the valve to let some air out several times without issue.
Back on fill whip and nothing.
Any ideas on the issue here? How could removing the valve hydro testing and reinstalling have caused this?
thanks in advance

Bob

Airgun restoration

I bought this FX Ranchero from the AOA pre-owned section. It was in rough condition and priced accordingly so I took a chance knowing I’d have to do some work to restore it. First thing I noticed was it held air and was mechanically sound except for a weak spring which held the cocking lever shut. Sweet! All I had to worry about was the cosmetics. The barrel shroud bluing had a pea sized blemish that I tried to touch up with cold blue but it didn’t turn out good so I stripped it down and bought some alumahyde. Took me a few tries to get a smooth coat of alumahyde. The brass parts had a good amount of patina that came off easily with some Brasso. Next I stripped the old finish off the grip, steamed out some dents and sanded it down. The factory finish was hiding some beautiful figuring in the wood. I didn’t even know it was Walnut! I was going to finish with tru-oil but wanted something that didn’t look cheap so I went with a few coats of Danish oil for a nice matte finish.
