I took my Taipan tactical out to the range for some 100 yard shooting. Remembered that a bought some AEA pellets and thought well shoot 10 forget about it. Well to my surprise this slug gun loves the AEA 25.3 25 cal. Shooting them very hot I know over 1000fps but still for some reason those pellets like shooting fast. 5 shot group at a 100 yards....wind was 5-10 mph....

I installed a 700 mm impact superior heavy barrel in 22 caliber. I use this gun for backyard silhouette practice. Very very accurate and runs flawlessly. Includes 2 magazines. D3 tall rings. Weaver T24 scope that I sent to Optical Services . It has a 1/2” moa dot . I want to sell as a package but I will sell separately.

Are there any PCP rifles that come with a plenum bleed valve (knob or whatever) that would allow the shooter to bleed off excess plenum pressure for those times when the plenum pressure is above the reg setting?

You guys know how the plenum pressure goes up when the ambient temperature goes up -- like you take a shot when it's 60 degrees F and a few hours later you want to take a shot, but the plenum pressure is above your set regulator pressure because the outside temp is now 75 degrees F and the sun came out. You know your shot is going to be low FPS because of the high plenum pressure. So what do you do? If there was a bleed valve on the plenum, you could let a small amount of air out of the plenum and let the regulator bring the plenum pressure back up to normal and then take the shot.

So back to the main question -- are there any PCP rifles that come with a plenum bleed valve?

Saw a FB mention of US made Notos magazines. What's the story? Are they as good as the Canadian or Cams? Anybody got a link? Cheaper or more expensive?

I see a lot of guys running moderators on their benchrest rifles, so I decided to give them a try on my RAW 25 cal. After trying 4 different moderators I have come to the conclusion that a moderator does not belong on my RAW if I want it to shoot like it should. All of the ones I tried either caused flyers, POI shift or in one case a big jump in FPS. I fought for the better part of a month trying to get my rifle to group at 50 yards and finally decided to start over with pellet and tuner testing without any moderator. Right off the bat everything started grouping better and with some tuning I am sure I will get back to where the rifle should be shooting. I am just curious if others have had this same experience?

Enjoying some time at the range this afternoon- calm and lightly raining. Targets shot at 50 yards, 10 shot groups (mostly). The HW97K is a .20 and is new. I have had the LGU for several years and is .177. A few of the groups can almost hide beneath a US quarter. Those groups make me happy.

A thank you to @gendoc for this amazing airforce. I've done plenty of pesting with single shot with my old leshiy classic. I did not think that I would have this kind of success with an airforce though.

The gun arrived to me super well packaged and when I took all the parts out of the bag it looked practically unused. I honestly thought he bought it and never took it out of the box, I also thought this because we traded rifles last year, huben .25 for his vulcan .25.

Anyway, I put the gun together and top it off with my LH arked 6-24x50. In the morning I get it sighted in at about 23yrds with the new 30gr slugs that Dale (Varmint Knocker) makes. Initially they were grouping half an inch, but the more I shot them the better they grouped, so I called it good. Fast foward 5 hours of iguana removal at various properties, I head to one of our golf courses to take a gentleman out on a hunt with my partner.

We displayed our options of pcps for him to choose.

He picks up the TalonP and doesn't even eant to try any of the other ones. I let him know that it's a single shot pcp, so as long as he doesnt mind having to reach for another round or being given rounds as he shoots he'll be good. He says he doesn't mind that at all and prefers the look of it, he also said the eye relief was set up perfect for him with that gun so he got to use it for the whole trip. My partner chose the dreamline and I stuck with my trustee GK1.

This Airforce Talon P surprised me to say the least...not just the gun itself but also the ammo that I got from Varmint Knockers. He out down 43 iguanas, we were only able to recover 36, BUT 43 iguanas were put down in just 3 hours. By a gentleman who has never shot pcps with a single shot. I am thoroughly impressed with this rig, thanks again @gendoc !!

Just came in from a nighttime plinking session at 25 and 40 yards with my Atomic XR with Zulus 5-20x atop. I see the hits, repeat the hits and am still left astounded at what’s possible. Sending at pieces of sidewalk chalk, scored to rodent head sizes… Got me excited to go after some rats… The reasons I’m not going ratting tonight? Other than being old man tired? My wife said no… That said, the Atomic is a trouble maker and whispered… maybe tomorrow night? This light little gun has a giant hold on me through its performance afield at reasonable, practical pesting ranges. Simply a Grand Slam Home Run by BRK Brocock…

P.S.: Best part is all that deadly accuracy with CPHPs…

My niece is starting to take interest in Airgun pistol shooting.

I was out testing my side shot and old phone, getting it dialed in. I went in for some dinner and came out to grab the rig and put it away. We'll I noticed this guy having out at the feeder and took a shot. I completely forgot I was low on air and I believe I went low. It hit, just don't think it killed him.

Couldn't find him or a blood trail. Bummer.

Rig used was my np03 bottle gun I'm still finishing up. I'll post later about that.

SOLD. I am offering my RAW Chassis.25 cal rifle to the market. The rifle was ordered directly from Martin when purchased by the original owner. I purchased it from him and am the second owner. The rifle is less than two years old. As you can see from the pictures it has seen very little use. Last I checked it is shooting 34gr FX pellets around 910fps. It includes an ARCA rail with a picatinny underneath to attach a bipod. Even though I have small hands I didn’t care for the original grip because it felt too narrow. I replaced it with a Magpul grip that fills my hand and feels much better. It also comes with one magazine.
Why am I selling? I made a BIG purchase on a long range rifle so something needs to move in order to cover the cost and I have another .25 that has sentimental value.

My FX Crown has a slow leak, about 2 bar/day - over 10 bar per week. I have leak detector fluid and have removed the stock at least 4 times looking for the leak over and over without success.


I've checked the base of each gauge, the foster fill nipple base, fill nipple exit, all around the regulator, including the vent hole on the side,


checked the plenum plug


Checked the valve plug/cover


Checked all around the bottle


And have done the baloon test. (above pick after about 15 hours)

Got my 2260 multi shot pcp put back together after shaping and finishing the K98 mauser stock. American hickory wood with a couple coats of mix wax natural stain and 2 coats poly. Needed a durable finish for this purpose built rig.

The stock smelled like ham or bacon when I was cutting and sanding it! Made it difficult to finish, since I always got hungry for breakfast when working on it.

The sparrows are on to me! They stay out of sight of my shooting position, but their numbers keep growing. So I figure make a rig specifically for this need.

Enter the 2260 pcp. Set up for 30 shots at 11 fpe with RWS Super H points, and they're hitting dimes out to 30 off a rests.



I'm using my kids old playset as a blind now lol. I sit inside the lower section and it gives me a clear 20 yard shot to all their nests they've built into the vines that grow all over the fiber wires. I don't shoot blindly into that, I wait til they come out to sit on the upper guide wires or the cross wires over my yard. Using the trees as a back stop, I've cleared 10 so far, only recovered 3 that fell were I could get them.

Got this trio a few minutes ago. 2 head shots and one chest. All at roughly 12 yards.




This one was keeping an eye out for me!
