SOLD Impact Mk2 with .22 and .177 barrels or barrel kit

UPDATE I will be traveling from Russellville Arkansas to Houston TX at the end of the week the to Huntsville AL and finally back to Russellville the Sunday after Thanksgiving. So I could save someone shipping if they were on or close to that route.
I have decided to sell my FX Impact Mk2. It will come with the stock trigger guard and not the one on the gun. It has the ambidextrous cocking block (still have stock as well), custom carbon fiber barrel holder on the 600mm .22 (I still have the stock metal holder if you would rather have it), .177 500mm barrel (with probe, mag, and stud direct to mag loader), custom power wheel (have stock as well), 300cc or 480cc bottle (buyers choice), Stud loading system for .22. Digital gauge is negotiable (I still have the stock I can put back on. It looks like previous owner got the case too close to a heat source but I have not seen any issues from it. If you need a scope I have a swfa 2-10 ultralight or element Titan I am willing to sell, not sure I want to sell the Pard on it but might consider it. I do not have a shroud for the .22 barrel. I also have a Donny FL Tanto or Wylie carbon mod I can sell with it.

2,000 plus shipping for everything except Wylie carbon moderator and scope and mounts
1,600 plus half shipping for gun in caliber of buyer’s choice, no extended trigger guard, digital gauge, moderator, or scope and mounts
400 for .177 kit, includes .177 500mm barrel with shroud, pellet probe, magazine, and Stud DTM loader
400 for .22 kit, includes .22 600mm barrel with custom carbon fiber barrel holder, pellet probe, magazine, and Stud loader system
$80 for Donny FL Tanto
$130 for Wylie Carbon Moderator

SOLD WTS FX Dreamline 500mm .22 STX Barrel/ Pellet Probe/ Carbon Fiber Shroud

I am selling the .22 500mm STX barrel and pellet probe that came oem with my dreamline. The only thing missing to make a complete barrel swap kit is a magazine. Prior to switching to a 600mm I polished the 500mm and extensively tested the barrel. The barrel from my testing is capable of .25 - .4in 5 shot groups at 50 yards with 18gr jsb. Never had a chance to test at longer distances. The barrel cleaning periods were greatly extended with the polishing I performed. From my exp I can get around 2 500 round tins before accuracy drops ymmv. Unfortunately I bought my Dreamline from a retailer that locktites the moderator to the gun. From what I have seen/heard 15-30 secs with a heat gun and a nice twist should get it to come off relatively easily. Due to the inconvenience of having the moderator locktite on I will add the carbon fiber shroud that I bought to replace the OEM shroud. The carbon fiber will remove/greatly reduce POI shifts (from my exp with the 600). I am looking to get 225 shipped for the set.

Look what the FEDEX man just brought

My new Cheapo Chinese Vevor MX- 8 x 14 Mini Lathe, it came boxed, but poorly assembled which I expected, I removed it from the box and gathered all the parts lying in the bottom of the box that had fallen off in transport, placed the lathe on my bench and took it apart, Cleaned, lubed and reassembled, tuned and dialed in, after about 2 1/2 hours it is ready for operation.... Test operation all working properly and all centered and straight, it Works,
this is what is expected if you buy one of these cheapo Chinese made Lathes, they will work fine as long as you take it apart and reassemble it properly, Clean, lube and fine tune it, otherwise don't bother getting one. ;)

RTI Prophet Performance POI consistency?

For those of you with an original Performance or Performance Compact, how's the POI consistency? I've read about early versions having reg creep issues after sitting for a bit.

I'm shopping for my next rifle and reliable POI is a priority. I'm leaning towards a Taipan Veteran Long since I know how reliable they typically are, but am also interested in a Prophet Performance since I know they shoot MRD's well. I prefer the easy tuning adjustment of the RTI, but could make due with only hammer spring tuning on the Taipan.

Main use of this rifle will be pesting around the house which is why I want reliable POI once dialed in. But I also do a ton of paper punching in between. Will be sticking with 22 caliber.

Is my mind right on compressors

I know everyone is probably tired of "which compressor do I need" but please bear with me once more time and help see if I have this right in my mind.

I am new to PCP and have no readily available businesses near me willing or able to charge a tank to 4500psi so that leaves me looking for an air source of my own. I want to top off 74cuft tanks from 3000 to 4500 and fill a gun tank if needed. since tanks is in picture portability would be nice but not required. Even at my preferred range I have access to electricity. PRIMARY desire is something reliable and with readily available support/parts for when something does break.

So with that said and days of scouring the web/forum for info I have 4 pools of equipment.

1) Cheap budget system <500.00 (Yong Heng types)
Mostly Chinese
Labor intensive (water buckets etc)
crapshoot on reliability
Not bottle recommended but can be used in that role if accept risks.
2) low priced 500.00 to 1000.00 (GX Air Venturi etc)
Basically the same as cheap systems but a couple more bells or whistles.
Not much more on reliability
Generally re branded Chinese stuff
3) Mid priced 1000.00 to 2000.00 (Omega, etc)
Feature rich with auto shutoffs, auto drains, etc
Upgraded Chinese
integrated cooling and water/oil separator
Limited support/parts (in case of omega a one man show)
Reliability all over the map
4) Commercial (Coltri Alkin) 2500.00 and up
Hits all the desires
Low end of professional series so bells and whistles dropped off.

So with that laid out I am seeing I am going to have to find something in #4 like Coltri MCH-6 to be satisfied. Am I missing something? Did I too harshly judge #1 thru #3? Do I need to quit stressing and bite the bullet for the coltri?

Thanks for any nudge, correction you are willing to provide.

Steven

AGT URAGAN 2 .... what learned these past days

Customers gun, a COMPACT in .177 caliber.

MASSIVE Air Hog !!! Horrible efficiency even tho it came set up to shoot JSB 8.4 @ 900 fps it sucks down the air at 40+ psi per shot.
Under the hood of cosmetic covers a very unique design being somewhat along FX maverick design lines. That being a forward trigger group & cocking mechanics & bottle mount, a BIG plenum screwing into both forward trigger and rear valving / hammer assembly. Barrel straddled over the top anchored securely to both.

Being this gun came to me with a BIG complaint of Low shot count and somewhat noisy for the power output ... We head INSIDE and take a look around
Before going in had already figured I would be finding similar traits to other CZ manufactured pups/rifles where multi caliber choices are offered. ( Krickets, Taipans etc .. )
Yup 1 chassis and set of guts for all calibers it appears is the case here too. Barrel caliber / length & Bottle size with related parts appear to be the differences.

* Transfer path from valve to barrel a massive .230"
* Plenum is huge and all passages within moving air from bottle to valve is unrestricted !
* Super small & light hammer, short and fairly light spring ... HUH, somethings suspect ?
* Balanced valve !!! Following JSAR developed architecture ( see posted pic )

After tearing the action apart to a degree we can address specific areas came up with a few ideas ... Try them, went back in, tried some other stuff being in & out near a dozen times.

Sadly the balanced valve as built has No Lift limiting or Buffer adjustments etc ... It cracks open and fly's WIDE OPEN !! Thus why such an air hog !!

After hours of trial & error .. or not getting results wanted 😬 Figured the R&D of working with and for the JSAR team years ago during this type valves development that applying some CRUTCH fixes used back then was needed here in this guns configuration to get the valve less thirsty. for this .177 caliber application.

Placing a balance chamber rod within spring and varying its length we could mechanically limit the poppets lift to a place where valve is breathing wide open ( poppet above seat being near equal in area ) but no more !!! This also reduces chamber volume and poppet will close faster too.
Shrinking down the transfer path size from the massive .230" down to @ .140" along with other set up tricks rounded it out.

As is typical of this type balanced valve there SUPER sensitive to pressure and final speed adjusting done via reg set point. With such a large plenum here the ES is very small and seeing 3-5 fps spreads ... really solid.

All said the muzzle report is a SNAP without the LDC even mounted, screwed on it's near silent. BUT 😈 Now .... O'my gawd the PING is so obvious coming from that large thin wall plenum !!! upon shooting it's loud right against your ear & really annoying. Another day for that one, if I address it as all ?
The air use is indeed greatly reduced now, but no data collected thus far ..

Thanks for following along ...

Fx impact M3 700mm Blast of air to the face

Hello all. So I have finally decided that I want a high end air rifle, so I purchased a brand new fx impact m3 700mm .22 from pyramid air. Wow this thing is awesome. So I started shooting it and it shoots great. I have about 200 pellets through it or there about. I have noticed that all of a sudden I'm getting what I can only describe as a blast of air on my cheek when shooting it and seems much louder than when I first shot it. I have not taken anything apart except for lowering the first regulator pressure as it was around 165bar when I first received it. It is currently around 135bar and 95 bar for the second regulator (have not touched that one). Seems that they shot it for the 10 shots for $10 using 11.9 gr pellets at 1090 fps average for the 10 shots. This thing is awesome to shoot but i don't enjoy the blast of air that kind of stings. Any advice? Should I contact them and send it in? I have only had it for about 5 days including today. I looked in the barrel where the pellet probe goes into and the (breech seal?) seems to still be there.
