How long should seller wait for payment

Several times I have posted something for sale, someone contacts me and says they'll take an item. I send them my Paypal info and then 3+ hours or even overnight before they pay, if at all. Of course, before they pay, someone else writes and says they would like to buy it. If you sell it to buyer #2, they trash you for "selling it out from under them. When it takes likes 2 minutes to issue a Paypal payment, how long would you wait before moving on to the next buyer?

SOLD Weihrauch HW77K .177 with Extra Custom stock

$650 shipped. This rifle was bought from an estate sale. Old guy, and it is low powered per his past request. It’s tuned as well; super nice firing cycle. Stainless steel pivot arm.

NLA FX Impact M3 Bronze 0.22 600mm 480cc Standard

[No trade offers on this listing please...]

Hello AGN,

I'm looking to sell a very nice FX Impact M3 Bronze w/ 0.22 caliber 600mm barrel, 480cc bottle, 28 shot high capacity magazine, stainless steel bolts, owner's manual and factory FX hard case. This rifle is currently set up as the "Standard" 600mm/480cc configuration with the 0.22 caliber barrel with Superior liner to shoot JSB 18.13g pellets at ~900fps with excellent accuracy and consistency. The rifle itself was recently resealed by FX and is in excellent condition as shown in the photos; the cheek rest has been carefully wrapped in an automotive grade carbon fiber vinyl wrap (which can be easily removed without any residue if you don't want it; I can also wrap the shroud in the matching CF wrap if you'd like). I've installed a stainless steel bolt set throughout this rifle and will include the original black screws as well.

PLEASE NOTE: scope and mounts are NOT included in the purchase price...

Price is: $1800 + 1/2 actual shipping

Local pickup is available in the SF Bay Area - otherwise, payment by Paypal Friends & Family is preferred (or add 3.5% if using PP Goods & Services). I have plenty of feedback both here as well as dating back to the old Yellow Forum so please feel free to do your due diligence and know that you're dealing with a reputable trader.

Rookie needs help deciding

Hey all. I am new to this side of air rifles. I grew up with everything from the old red ryder (yes with the compass and sundial) to a benjamin pump .22, I never took "air rifles" serious until recently. I am a little older and a little wiser now, and with a son who is turning 7 and another on the way, I want to find ways to spend more time with them, and something we can do anywhere at anytime is shooting some pellets around the house.
Now, for my own entertainment and because I want to, I am looking at getting a PCP for small game hunting (squirrels, rabbits, iguanas, raccoons, etc) and have been looking around the $400-$500 mark. The Avenger was obviously a huge hit when it was released, and it appeals to me. However, there seems to be more and more companies offering similar specs in their own brand. I am not opposed to any brand and have looked at youtube reviews until I am cross-eyed and confused. I like the Avenger, JTS Airacuda, and Hatsan Hydra, but again, I am open to suggestions and have not seen any of these in person.
Here are a list of specs that I am wanting to check off to help me decide:
O .25 cal or .30 cal
O Accurate to 50 yards (accuracy is relative, but would like to keep it within 1/2" at 50 yards)
O Easy fill and/or easy to change air bottles
O Ability to mount a scope
O Removable magazine
O I would prefer a side lever, but not a deal breaker

After all these years, finally bought myself a springer

Hello everyone.

I'm a new member here on this forum, not only to the forum but somewhat to airguns in general.

Now I can't say I'm new to shooting or "firearms" as I've generally made a living in that industry for years.

I've had a couple air rifles through my hands over the years, a couple Dianas like the 48/52 and 34s. A couple match FWBs. I never shot any of these, only trade/sell, just as stock merchandise, etc.

I recently decided to purchase a springer for recreational shooting in my production shop. This past weekend I attended a gunshow show with quite a few air rifles and I found what I was looking for. After handling most of the high end rifles, I picked up one that felt to me, the perfect springer. A Weihrauch HW-35E in 22 cal.

What a beautiful rifle. Not only in feel/fit, but the workmanship is outstanding! Action is as smooth as glass. Recoil is also fairly light. Less than I was expecting.

Speaking of build quality/fit/finish and feel, nothing else came close. I chose it in 22 cal for probably the lamest of reasons....I just find the larger pellets easier to load!

I've only tested it so far, so I can't comment on accuracy just yet.

Standing offhand shooting - Can you handle a golf ball at 100 yards? I CHALLENGE you to do it and post a video!

Rick Rehm over at Shooter1721 challenged me to a 100 yard standing offhand exploding golf ball shoot out!

Now, of course I didn't beat the master, but I never back down from a challenge so here is the video of my portion of the challenge.

Win, lose, or draw - this is fun! Post your own 100 yard standing offhand golf ball challenge below! It is a HARD shot to pull off!

P-Rod or Bullpup

Going further down the rabbit hole. I would like something a little smaller, lighter and handier than my M-Rod. I am happy with the power and accuracy of my M-Rod and would like to stay 22 Cal. Haven't handled anything but read about the P-rod/stock and the Benjermin bullpups. Going to go used since they are a bargain. What should I be looking for?

Excuses

Why is it that almost all groups or target scores, no matter how good (or bad) seem to have an excuse added in to explain why they aren’t perfect? Just about every post I’ve seen over the past month starts out with “I was shooting in hurricane winds” or “the bench was so wobbly it would barely stand up” prior to or after the presentation of the group or targets.
Listing your shooting conditions is one thing, but phrasing it as some excuse for what you shot is something else.
Even some of the very best shooters do it - here’s this 100Y group 25 shots of 0.53 inch C2C, but it was swirling 15 to 20 mph winds and very cold…. 🤪
Am I being too dramatic or picky?

Shady "Expert Opinions" offered on Value of Highly Collectible Items

Just a little advice on some of the "Expert" opinions on the value of ultra rare vintage items of high demand...
Price/ Value quotes I got from some people (some of whom really are experts).
The difference in price quoted was huge depending on whether the person wanted to buy it or was just giving me an honest answer.
The "Experts" wanting to buy the item $500-700. The experts that were not wanting to buy gave value at $1200-1500.
The Khamsin sold for $2200 total price paid w/ shipping, taxes, etc..
The Camargue AL sold for $2500 total buyer paid (auction ended early, top buy price met in two days)
And quit slamming Ebay, it is the only place to sell the top end vintage stuff if you want to avoid the shuck and jive hussle from the "experts".
The guy that wants a super rare item real bad but will not pay it's true value on the open market.
Some of that is very understandable and all part of the negotiation process but offering an expert opinion that is that far off is very noticeable
to even a novice like myself.

IMO this rant only applies to the "Holy Grail" ultra rare pieces everyone is looking to find,
That is where the "Experts" lose their minds and integrity...

Disclaimer: Gentlemen on this forum were not as bad as elsewhere.

just think about it... before you get mad and offer more ill advised expert opinion.
it just ruins the ability to sell the nicer vintage items on ANY air gun forum classified page.
That is why it is all newer items being sold most of which are loosing their value very quickly (some of that is Shady too)

A persons one expert opinion cannot control this market, it is too big, no matter how many Bluebooks on Airguns get written and/or how influential a person is in this genre of collectibles. I have seen this for years in other things I collect (Classic Cars, car parts, vintage fishing/hunting gear, etc.) and never have bothered to chime in with my opinion but this niche of air gun enthusiasts is a pretty decent bunch of guys... and gals, Lol
The Best of the Lot !

Cheers, David

How do I make a backyard friendly pellet stop.

I am wanting to shoot my air guns more in my back yard but I live in a fairly populated area. How can I make a backstop or pellet trap that won’t make a ton of noise and be able to stop my pellets completely. I would just shoot metal targets but I feel like the pinging of the pellets hitting the metal every few days would become annoying for the neighbors.

Cocking issue R5M

Had an odd issue start popping up for me lately. After taking a little break from shooting I noticed that my .25 R5M is having issues with cocking. Specifically, when I cock the handle back it cycles just fine, but the action doesn't remain to the rear. Instead, it tries to spring back forward without being pushed. I take that to mean it didn't cock. Does this mean I have an issue with sear engagement? Anyone else exp this?

Pulling the cocking handle back and trying to get it engaged multiple times, I ended up putting 3-4 pellets into the barrel once. Not ideal.

Hey Vendors - The Little Things Get Noticed

I just received an order from High Pressure Pneumatics and feel compelled to give them a shout out. They did everything right. Not only did they have a good price on the Wika gauge I ordered but they shipped it in a timely manner, did not over charge for shipping, and packaged it very well. Bonus plus they included a bite size pack of M&M's....

When a vendor gives that extra effort I take notice. Good job High Pressure Pneumatics. I will be back!

Some Precision Airguns For Those On A Budget

we took some out some Zbroia Kozaks to the range and tested um out with different ammo, scope cam and target cam. Let us know what you guys think :) these airguns with the right ammo are real tac drivers, all for sub 1k. We know the some airguns are just out of reach for many, so we thought it'd be a good idea to remind everyone how amazing of a value the kozaks can be :)
