Playing with my new ATN X-Sight LTV 5-15, this is my first video recorded kill. It's a bit of pain to sight in, but once done, results are great. The recording made me realize my date was set incorrectly.

What kind of distance do you like to aim for with a .22cal when it comes to target or small game hunting?

I've been on a quest to make a lower power 25 caliber carbine and was waiting for the kral nish to come out in the wood stock. Really dig a thumbhole stock, but just couldn't justify another 400 bucks on basically the same gun as a mega when I already have a mega.

Ended up getting an np03 tube from Gizmo and an np01 barrel from Ramen at Canada Shooting Supply. Pulled off the 280cc regulated tube and np03 16" barrel and should kit.

Its pretty short, the Troy Hammer air stripper doesnt even clear the barrel band.



I had another NP03 shroud laying around that the threaded rear end had cracked off so I just ground off the threads on the rear mount bushing, tapped a hole thru for a set screw, and drilled a hole in the shroud. Fits 4 Mrod baffles in front of the shroud. Ended up just under 34" end to end.



I'm happy with the size and weight is more centered, but still a porker even with the 4x32 scope on it.

On to performance. I knew it wouldn't be stellar right out the gate. Also, the barrel leade didnt like any JSB pellets and wouldnt strip off the first pellet on a mag and would get weird toward the end of the mag. These mags were from my jumbo so i know theyre good. Got it to load and shoot baracuda and surprisingly Eunjin 43.2s Power was hovering at 24-25 fpe with the spring just shy of coil bind.

JSBs were doing about 660 fps. I was hoping to get 30 fpe, so I bled it down and tore it apart.

Stock ports were in the .150" range so I ran them all up to .180" and smoothed out the edges and polished up the leade since the barrel was out.

Got it all back together and filled to 220bar. Loaded a mag of Kings and they finally cycled smooth. Guess the finish on the rear of the barrel was catching the pellets.

First shot across the chrony registered 708 so I thought damn, not much gain but it's something. Next shot was 723. Not bad... climbed to 735 by end of 1st 10 shots. Peaked at 743, stayed in the 735-740 range for 25 more shots, and was down to 680s by end of fourth mag. So it'll be a 30 shot gun I'm good with that. I'm hovering just under that 30 fpe mark so I'm sure I'll get there.

Next will be accuracy test and better pics.

Nothing too impressive. Just a barrel swap.
Going from 600mm to a 380mm. But MAN WHAT A DIFFERENCE. looks and feels like a completely different gun. I’m so happy with this setup. Still got some good power too. Bullpups eat your heart out!

Sold Pending Funds

I have an RWS Diana 6G for sale. It is in the original styrofoam box with the original brown cardboard sleeve. This pistol has the target grips, as well as two additional apertures for the front sight, a dovetail scope mount (with screws which appears to have never been mounted), and paperwork. The pistol is extremely accurate and seems to very much enjoy a diet of H&N field target trophies.

The seals were replaced about 3 weeks ago when I bought the pistol from a gentleman collector’s estate. The pistol is tip top, the only cosmetic damage I can find is a 1.25 inch long scratch on the right side of the barrel, a few small scuffs on the grips themselves, and a small scuff on the large ring on the rear of the pistol.

I am only selling this pistol because my hand is too big to shoot it comfortably. My hand is 107.5 mm wide and 52.7 mm thick at the thumb. Unfortunately, squeezing my hand into the grip is just too uncomfortable to do for any length of time. Oh well, that give you an opportunity at an extremely nice vintage pistol. If you’ve never shot a Giss pistol they are admittedly a bit odd, but entertaining and extremely accurate none the less.

I am asking $400 shipped.

I tried a 0dB moderator on my Brocock Sniper over the weekend and was pretty disappointed. It caused the POI to drop approximately an inch and a half and would not group good at all. The groups were horrible with it on. Without the moderator, the rifle is laser accurate. I don't believe the pellet is clipping any baffles because the impact points are not key holed. What gives? Any one else ever experience these issues? I guess I'm just asking, what causes this degradation in accuracy?

I've been wanting to get this done for a while. I must say that this Black lightening done by Utah Airguns is even more impressive in person. It's definitely a fix for all these Black stocks FX makes. I couldn't decide between this one or the Kryptek Typhoon

This is my latest attempt, I am now out of pistols to convert. Or I should say willing to convert.

At less than 5 pounds scoped, it is absolutely wonderful to carry.

Is this possible without destroying the Crown?
I was playing with Strelok when I put in the 40gr javelin slugs in to the calculator. Running the 40gr Javelins look like a worthy project but i don't want to destroy everything that makes the Crown a great gun.

I finally put a carbon barrel tensioner on my FX Crown . Using some aluminium tube 14X16mm as a sleeve to adapt the 16X20mm carbon tube over the 14mm OD barrel. It sure increases stiffness and accuracy , that's the good point. But now the gun is not backyard friendly anymore ,...it's pretty loud even in .22 cal.
So would it be possible to put the shroud back around the carbon tube , in a way or another ? I'm back to my drawing board to find a solution , some machining will be needed , but I wonder if somebody else has already undertaken this project ? Unless noise is not a problem for you .

3 - Crosman 38T .177

I purchased this vintage Crosman 38T pistol recently due to its excellent condition, but am keeping my collecting focus on older airguns for now. This pistol is 100% functional and holds CO2 with zero leaks. This is one of the models with the plastic rear sight. Comes with the original box which is in very good condition. The pistol itself is near mint for its age with only a few minor bits of wear to the paint. From the samples I've seen while looking the are not many without the paint destroyed on the muzzle and the end of the barrel dinged up. As you can see from the pictures, this one is extremely clean.

4 - Beeman P11 .177 Magnum Springer

Same as the Weihrauch HW 45. Love how this pistol shoots. Two power levels based on how far you cock it. Over 500 fps on max with 7-8gr pellets. I purchased this used and have put maybe 100 shots through it. It's still breaking in as far as I can tell as I'm still getting a little smoke out of the barrel with full power shots. Will definitely challenge your shooting skills. Haven't seen these in stock anywhere for a while.

Well, my initial Xmas present to myself was going to be a red lam 54 Air King Pro, but that was thwarted when it arrived with a broken stock. Started looking around for other guns I wanted and ended up getting two. This is the first, courtesy of our very own Lewis. Great guy to deal with. Had been thinking about either a TX200 or HW97 and he had this. BNIB and packed with Lewis’ legendary skills. Fortunately had the nice little Boker Kim gave me for Xmas in my pocket. Was too late to clean and fire it but shouldered it and liked the feel. OAL is actually less than my Diana 34 or Winchester 435/Diana 35. Looking forward to putting a scope on it and sending some pellets down range. Hopefully weather cooperates this weekend. Thanks again Lewis.

Edit: Do all the HW97Ks come with a gold trigger? All our other HW have silver triggers.

Don't know if anyone has done this. At some point I want to remelt my pellets that drop out of my duct seal trap. Many pellets have bits of the goop on them. Don't want to throw those in my Lee pot since it will probably make a permanent mess.

Is there any solvent that I could soak the pellets in that would dissolve the duct deal?
