My childhood 760 Powermaster. I think first variant but not sure.

I always kept my childhood things. Being a middle child I think that helps, my brothers have nothing. Still have lots of my toys. Anyway I've always kept this one in a safe place. Long ago I had this serviced at a Crosman Service Center here in town. Got it out recently and no pressure. Just finished resealing it and back in business! I think it's a first variant but not sure. If you can see a number on the barrel band you are better than I am.

I throw in the towel with the night scopes,

I really wanted this Wraith 2x16x32 4K mini max to work, Way cool looking little scope,,, I can not read the words in the window, Even with my glasses on smashed up to the rubber cup , I turned up the power to see if it would help, Nope no help,, I could not even turn the night vision on for hours because I was just guessing at things, I guess I will just wait and drop 3 to 4 thousand on a REAL thermal scope ...Why Sightmark decided to make tiny little words in the view box is stupid ,,

Snowpeak SPA p35 woes

Quick question.... @JimD or anyone who's tinkered with the P35.

Is the p35 regulated from the factory?

Per SPA's website and various online dealers who sells the p35, it's regulated to my knowledge, but I have not opened one up to confirm.

I have problems with a recently delivered P35 in .22cal from Krale. There are two main issues I have with this rifle. #1 is the air cylinder. I believe the tube was damaged somewhere along the production process and it was welded, grounded/blended and paint/anodize before putting it together. There's a pinhole undercut where the repair was done. I'm concern about long term usage.

#2 is the extreme velocity swings. I shot about 4-5 magazines worth of pellets thru it and notice the sound difference after every shot. One would be sharper and the next would be much quieter. Here is a magazine's worth of chrono readings with 14.3gr Crosman Premiere HPs. This is with chrono attached to the shroud.

I have contacted Krale the last two days via email. It seems like they don't want to deal with the issues and trying to brush it off. Will wait til tomorrow for their next response. At this point, I'm very close to issuing a chargeback thru my credit card company.

Dear ,

Can you please send me a link to the manufacturer that it stated that the P35 is regulated? We do not advertise that this rifle is regulated.
I would also like a picture of the damage on the cylinder as you stated in your mail.

Dear ,

Thanks for your mail. Please note that this rifle does not come with a regulator. These spreads are quite extreme, but a new model does not solve this. I suggest placing a regulator for more consistent shots.

Alright time to decide!

This has been a tough decision for me, I am looking into my next pcp. 30 cal , reliable, shooting good out of box, and easy to tune if I want to swap ammo around.

I will be hunting with the gun, anything up to coyote.

I was going to order a vulcan 3 but they are out of stock now. I am impatient as it gets. So now I’m looking into another gun.

Main points are reliability, durability and accurate at good distances 100 yards+.

Basically the vulcan 3 but 2nd best option.

HW50S .177

3D1100BA-00F9-4223-878A-90F812C71F60.jpeg

This is my current favorite. IMO, the .177 HW50 at 10-11 fpe is the best factory springer for small game hunting out to 40 meters. The only caveat to that is in scenarios of high winds.

Mine really likes 8.64 FTT and it’s incredibly consistent from day to day. I routinely dispatch house sparrows out to 30 meters with only a side rest and I’ve yet to miss. It’s also ideal for still hunting or ambushing rabbits and squirrels. At first I disliked the factory stock but it actually has grown on me quite a bit.

You hear a lot about the HW95/98/97 and HW30(both of which I own) but if I could only have one the HW50 in .177 would be it.

New Huntsman Revere 177. Pretty, but it's in the shop!

I've got a 177 jinx! After my two negative Taipan Veteran 177 experiences, I decided to go with a Daystate Huntsman Revere in 177. I ordered it, it came in, shot well, actually a little hot for my liking, but it worked. So I sat it aside for a while and when I went to shoot again - pressure was down! Not much, but enough to be worrisome on a new rifle. I was disappointed but it's under warranty for 5 years so I sent it back to AoA. Still waiting on the return.

While the empty stock was starring at me from across my shop, I decided to "pretty" it up a little. It was nice looking, but I thought I could improve it. After a couple of coats of verrrry thin Boiled Linseed Oil, it now looks even better than I imagined it would!

The AvengeX

Looking forward to hearing what other "upgrades" they have in mind for this platform. Seems like the AvengeX is moving up the price chain, which I know is currently a big selling point for the budget Avenger. Wonder if the original will stick around? Also, hope the similar names won't make us Avenger owners have trouble finding compatible parts in the future. Or AvengeX owners for that matter. Looks cool, Tyler P!

SOLD Air Arms/ CZ/ Avanti Valiant T200 in 2 piece stock

Hello,

Selling a spare 200 I have. These go by a number of names, but are all basically the exact same gun. It's a factory gun that's been resealed and the gauge removed in order to install a quickfill. It's a used gun, I received it with stock scuffs, front sight mount with wear, and not the best shape. Cleaned, oiled, resealed and tested. Bluing has seen better days, but it cycles well and is a smooth operating gun.

Very consistent at 575fps for a ton of shots. Has the desirable 2 piece stock, the UIT rail is intact, but paint is work on that as well. Could be used as a target gun, these are very accurate, also could be used as a project gun like a pistol conversion for field target.

I just found a rear and front sight. I can add those in.

$550 500 shipped potential trades welcome, collectable springers, .20 cal springers or PCPs.

I have a rear and front sight available if interested.

Contact me via text or email.

Panthera— first thoughts after a week

Received Fx Panthera 25 cal. 700mm liner one week ago from @BulletCentral .
First impression is WOW. The new valve system in the gun produces very little deviation in fps — as in 4 fps in a ten shot series. I’ve tried @AVS slugs in 44 and 46 grain cup base and flat base and it prefers the 44 grain cup base, (.2503) shooting hole in hole at 50 yards at 960 feet per second.
I must say it is an amazing shooting gun and I look forward to more slug testing.

Tunes from reputable shops

For those of you who’ve sent your gun off to a shop to have it “souped up”, and to those of you who do the souping up, are tunes pretty much along the same philosophy for any given gun, or do they vary (markedly) depending on the smith?

(I want to apologize in advanced if my question isn’t fully understood)

For example: Let’s say I have an Fx Alley cat and I want more power from it. Would it be incorrect for me to assume that the tune for it, given what I want, would be more or less the same from any shop/business?

Or if my new , ADT Romulan is a .30 cal, and my buddy’s Romulan is a .25 cal, but was tuned by Wakandan Air and now shoots at incredible velocities, -could I assume that if Wakandan air got my gun, that I would experience similar, proportional gains as my buddy’s with the smaller caliber? Or could it possibly be that Wakandan Air did something that although resulted in great gains, somehow could be potentially detrimental to the Romulan’s lifespan should a specific set of circumstances arise in relation to the aforementioned Romulan? Something that other shops might not be willing to perform due to liability issues perceived or otherwise?

Inquiring minds want to know and so do I.

Tuning  FX Impact barrel stiffener options ?

Speculating for now, I don't have any of these, not yet, I am just trying to predict what can go wrong.
First of, I was not a big fan of these barrel stiffeners for MK2, either the Front Support Block only can maybe work, but the Extended Upper Rail integrated clamp I am considering even the worst possible - if the alignment is off - then the scope alignment will be off as well.
Without these stiffener gizmos and ordinary - pellet Impact functions just well, but mine got some heavy high power upgrades.
I just decided not getting the Pantera for long range shooting and I will be converting the MK2 back for heavy .25 slugs.
Since I have a shroud+barrel tuner already and not really like the idea replacing it again with a new tube....
What other options are known to be working great?

Fx Crown Regulator housing O-Ring Problem

Hi Everyone,
I need your help
I have a serious problem with the inner O-Ring on the regulator housing on Crown MK1. The O-Ring in question has flattened and hardened so much that it is impossible to stab and pull it out. I used a dental tool and tried for two days trying not to scratch the surface. I have heated the housing three times, but it simply is far too hard. I am thinking of soaking the housing in acetone, maybe that will degrade the O-Ring and loosen it enough to be able to pull it out. I have also thought about boiling the housing in hot water.
Please share your ideas.
Thank you, everyone.

Where are they

Ok - I need a bigger stick to shake the bushes. Certainly there is more than just “me” loving airguns along the gulf coast within an hour of Mobile, Al. ?? Anybody have success or experience conjugating a gaggle of airheads together in one place? Free shiny stuff? Brochures? Free beer? 🤩? What’s it take? Maybe the big retailer(s) and obscure would be willing to give my information out - it would have to be good for sales. Send me a pm or a carrier pigeon! If anyone has a recruiting brochure pm me a copy !
