Airguns now being embraced by more 'diverse' groups!

In the last few days I've seen television coverage of airguns being enjoyed by more 'diverse' groups than ever. (y)?

My favorite news channel showed a video clip of Taliban members enjoying a friendly shooting competition with a spring-piston rifle (held together with electrical tape, no less🤣).

The very next day an episode of one of my favorite Reality TV programs that chronicles police work in the U.S. was titled 'Pellet Gunman'. Was it not one of my favorite television shows I'd consider suing them; as the episode title is obviously a rip-off of my AGN screen name! However, I've decided to channel my frustration in a more constructive direction by offering airgun lessons catering to these interesting segments of Humanity.💵

Doesn't it warm your heart to see airguns being embraced by such diverse groups as these?🤔

FX liner to solid barrel

I project I just finished for my Impact.

E19AFE28-7223-4BA1-8C92-51078C8F4177.jpeg

The idea is to make a barrel starting with a liner as close to solid as possible. Here are the pieces before the whole thing is epoxied together.
The liner was slightly reduced in outside diameter on the lathe to 8mm. This was to make it a true parallel sided cylinder.
It’s in the picture on the right ,inside a 8mm inside diameter 10mm outside diameter cf tube. The whole 700mm liner end to end is epoxied in the tube.
The stainless pieces are all 10mm inside diameter so the liner can slide through.
They are all 14mm outside diameter and have a 12mm step. The second cf tub butts up to the 12mm step. It’s 10mm inside 12mm outside
The final cf tube is 12mm inside 14mm outside and goes over the step.
Finish barrel

The centre stainless section is of course for the cocking block to move against.

I’ll definitely do this to a few of my other liners. Cheers Michael

Tuning  Uragán 2

B8BDEA5D-4031-405E-9BE6-6F9A8A048E69.jpeg

Acquired a .25 Uragán 2. Here’s a short sequence of what I’ve experienced ~

The balanced valve is, okay. The new reg works fine. I do like less cocking effort due to not needing a strong hammer spring as this is an easy to open valve. You basically tune this system with only the reg. The hammer spring tension seems to do very little. In fact, I bypassed the reg and put 235 bar on the valve and the same hammer strike that can open the 140 bar reg (as set from factory) can also open the valve with 235 bar easily.

I’ve heard AGT now has a dual barrel transfer port on some barrels. This U2 does not. I worked this single transfer port for better flow dynamics. Why? Because no factory, I’ve seen product come from shapes a transfer port for optimal flow! I upped reg to 160 bar. It is a non-choked 700mm CZ barrel.

I tested 8 different slugs. The 2 best are the Zan 41gr (948 fps) and the Altaros Smooth 49.5gr (880 fps). This accuracy testing was done at an indoor range at 100 yards. You may see in the below pictures some pellet tins. These tins are only used to contain slugs as that is all I tested being this is the projectile type for my intended purpose and reason for owning this .25 U2. The pictures groups are not cherry picked. They are what I achieve in a short compressed testing session. This is a no embellishment, just fact, no unicorn sighting post. I’ve seen and you’ve seen the fairy 🧚‍♀️ tales! Take it or leave it, I’m just sharing.

This U2 does have a slow leak! It is coming from the balanced valve. AGT has created a gen 2 valve which remedied this issue. I expect to take delivery of the gen 2 parts in 8-10 days. Cheers!

Kral empire xs vs. Artemis snowpeak p35?

Hey y’all so I’ve narrowed down the next airgun I’m going to get to either the kral empire xs or the Artemis p35. I know they both can come with their own set of drawbacks, but at their price points I think they both have a lot to offer. In my opinion the empire xs is one of the coolest looking airguns I’ve seen and think I’m leaning towards it. The only other option I have on the table rn is the new avenge x bullpup but will have to see it in action to know how I feel about it. Any feedback on this would be appreciated.

Pellets for sale: in the classifieds

Been thinking about this for a while and finally decided to say something about it. A while ago I decided if I needed some pellets, I would try to buy from a AGN member first. Then buy from a vendor if I couldn’t find what I needed. I did this for a couple months and noticed a trend. Not in all cases but in enough to make me stop buying here. I was getting other guys scraps. The ones that they didn’t want. Repackaged and resold. When you get your tins and they are incredibly packaged and in pristine tins but every pellet in 3 tins has the exact amount of damage to them, it raises an eyebrow. When you get the MRD, King Heavy, or the 30cal pellets that have to be weighed but ironically a weight class is missing from the batch you bought, it raises another eyebrow. So is there a problem with guys selling their scraps in the classifieds? No. If they disclose their game and the buyer doesn’t care because he wants plinkers on the cheap, that’s fine. I’m not saying everyone does it but I thought I would just pass this along because it isn’t right.

Only a matter of time before they use PCPs in the military…

With the introduction of these new rifles such as the Skout Epoch rifles, the FX Panthera, and the Impact M3…I think it’s only a matter of time before they are adopted by the military for training or actual military application (they might already be in use…I recall the Impact was being used as a training tool for snipers under the Black Hawk Down instructor). Then there will be regulation…then I cry 😢. I wish we could just be stuck in limbo where we are at now…but I don’t think it’s going to happen since it’s human nature to want more and more and better toys. People are hitting 4 inch targets at 250 yards with a little .22 slug. Imagine 10 years from now…

What do you all think?

Traditional Rifle  SOLD Selling Weihrauch HW95 with Hawke 1 Piece Mount (Final Price Drop)

A buddy of mine has had no fortune selling it himself, so he asked me to post it here.

You can’t see them in the picture because they are not particularly noticeable. He hit a gong at 100 yards with it first try and I witnessed it. It’s magnificently accurate.

Up until now I thought the RAW HM1000x was a great shooter

This 25 cal RAW I purchased late last summer has never shot great groups. I couldn't get it to group less than an inch at 50 yards and today I tried it at 22 yards with a couple different head sizes as well as slugs. It shot terrible. Below are a couple targets to show what I mean. If it can't stack pellets at 22 yards, indoors with no wind or other elements, it will never shoot good at 100 yards. Occasionally it will plant a ho-hum group, but no where as precise as my Maverick using the same pellets from the same tin. Think this will have to go back to Martin to figure out where he went wrong with the tune/setup. I am using a March Hi Master 48x scope with No Limits rings.

Following targets are RAW:

Shocking prices

I have always had air rifles and within the last 10 years have gotten I to regular firearms and always thought that airguns was the cheaper way to get Into firearms. Lately I have been finding out that there are airguns that surpass the pricetags of traditional arms. Who would've thought-- certainly not me

ZAN Lead free slug range

Hello Guys,

Let me introduce the first lead free slugs on the market in .22 and .25 caliber.

.25 caliber in 22 grains and 15 grains in .22 caliber

Slugs are oriented on short to medium ranges, lighter weight(due to material) yields higher muzzle speeds to lead, and offers deep penetration.

Some are limited to shooting but mostly hunting with lead projectiles. They are not meant as a substitute to more superior lead, but a good getaway for some.

In the line is also .177 which we are still in testing process.

They are available at our website, but very soon also with others.

Uragan accuracy went to heck fast

My compact Uragan .22 accuracy degraded extremely quickly and a lot in the last few days in the course of just one magazine. I've had it since 2017 or 18, can't remember which, and shot thousands of pellets through it, I wash my pellets. I never once cleaned it, don't mess with something that is running perfect. Pulled off the shroud and moderator and shot a few with the labradar running, accuracy possibly marginally better but still horrible. Velocities and ES were great, no problem there. Forgot how loud the sucker was without shroud and moderator, the echo off land and woods sounded louder than my 22 PB's, I'm sure it wasn't, just a much sharper higher pitched tone. So I cleaned the barrel for the first time ever. It took no time at all, and patches were not what I would call dirty at all. I didn't count, but I think I ran 3 patches with solvent on a jag, one scrub with brush, and a very few patches, maybe 5, after until they came out spotless. I'm thinking that was a waste of time, really no crud came out, and the "dirtiest" patch was really pretty clean. Shot it, and low and behold, accuracy is back. I really can't believe how little fouling was in the bore and how bad the accuracy got. I can only guess there must have been one tiny piece of lead stuck somewhere that was miraculously scattering pellets 3" at 30 yards.

Anyone else experienced large drop in accuracy with only a barely dirty bore, almost clean really before I cleaned it. Really can't stress enough how little came out of the bore.
