Taipan  Vet 2 questions.

Looking into these hardcore lately, but I had some questions.

First, can the standard version be fitted with the tactical furniture and keep the tube? Or are they different blocks?

Second, will they shoot pellets as accurately as slugs? I know they’re unchoked barrels, but I mainly shoot pellets for cost.

Third, are they super quiet? My vet 1 was mousefart quiet, and super nice shot cycle. I know the trigger is the same, but did they keep it as quiet?

Lastly, has anyone had any poi issues or first shot accuracy issues with the new “full float” barrel system? It looks to be somewhat tensioned, but I liked that I could take my vet 1 out after weeks of sitting, and it was still on target with first shot no matter what.

Thanks in advance.

Other  What 200 Meter rings airgun?

I have a 25 cal heavy modified Impact MK2 for N50 and 100 BR shooting, and a 22 cal Leshiy2 for anything else below 80 M/y.
Also, six liners in 22 and 25 I can comfortably swap around between these two.

I am shooting rings in a PB gun club only, where I am allowed to take any ranges up to 100 M/y. If I would wanna shoot with airgun the 200 M/y for example I would need to "build a trust" in eyes of the board of directors to allow that to me.
For this reason last year I got myself a BR / f-class W308 instead, only for a reason that I want to shoot longer distances 200 M and up.

With my MK2 if I would wanna stretch the limit I would need serious homework to do.
Maybe a new dedicated long range rifle would be a better choice?

As much I was reading last year about, I may have missed which air rifle may have consistently performing well @ 200.
Again, rings shooting only is in my main interest, I don't hunt.

Traditional Rifle  NLA HW30 .20/5mm

Bought a few years ago and shot very little.IIRC I just did a "lube tune " with Maccari Moly and a small bit if his "tar"
Shoots very docile and dead nuts accurate. Front globe has the thin post with bead.Gun is in great shape but if you are fussy and expect a new gun there are probably some small imperfections I didn't notice.A tin of old gold lable JSB will be included that appears full.

$340 UPS ground shipped in lower 48
*(more if you are in a rural area UPS ads a ridiculous surcharge)
Stock will be removed when shipped.

paypal preferred.

Winter Projects Show em! & the progress on my P-Rod build

What’s everyone working on? Let’s see what’s on your work bench? Post any new or recent Airgun projects in the comments.

I recently got my huma reg installed in my P-Rod. I’ve only shot a handful of mags but it’s shooting way more consistent than I expected. I probably should just tune and quit messing with it. Ofcourse I wont, it Never ends hahah. Delrin poppet and hammer spring experiments next.

I did quite a few mods to this thing over the last month. It’s been a lot of fun and I’ve leaned a bunch. Even learning to use a lathe and mill. Shout out and thanks to the few guys that gave me pointers along the way. Hope to be at a point to share with the next guy.

Here’s a string I shot and a pellet fps/fpe test. Once tuned should easily hit 18.5-19 fpe for 3 mags(24 shots). Nice and snappy sounding shot and not to hard to cock. Got a beautiful wood stock once I finish this dang thing lol.

Take care
Rob

QD picatinny adapter for tripod

I'm looking for a pic rail adapter that has a QD lever that I can leave on my tripod instead of having to leave an ARCA adapter on my guns which can be slightly annoying as they are fairly bulky. All my airguns have picatinny rails so I have adapters on all my guns but am hoping to not need them. Do they make something like that? One would imagine they do but haven't found something in my searches.

Right here at home!

I've been envious of the pesting videos. seems we have a pest problem of large proportions, within blocks of my home. Nutria! No bounty like down in Louisiana, but Nutria are an issue in SW Washington. We have a system of sloughs around Longview here, the Nutria really tear the joint up, a very destructive pest. A hunting license is required, otherwise zero restrictions since Washington declares them an invasive destructive species. Since they are "cute" I'll need to use good judgement reducing the population. Local laws prohibit firearms discharge inside the city and parts are in city limits, my air rifles are fine regardless. Be perfect for the kayak when it quits raining. Look for some Nutria shots soon.

FX  Fx crown mk2 pellet stuck

Hello everyone, I have an fx crown mk2 0.25, and after a few days of use a pellet got stuck, I removed it but sometimes between 10 shots it got stuck again, I have 145 bar with 23 on the hammer, I also noticed that the shots are not grouping well, since the fx is almost perfect in this regard, can someone help me? Thanks

.22 LR vs .22 slug

I was lusting after a few powder .22 after a visit to a large gunshop. Tika, Bergera,CZ!
But at this $700-$1000 price there are air guns just as capable.
And target ammo is priced higher than premium slugs.
I was convinced I needed to go that way. But I realized it was just the recharging at the range
I just need a bottle for air not a new .22!
And a bottle is cheaper.
This airgun addiction is really interesting.
I watch videos of both, not just fluff ones.
I read forums for both and find that some air guns cost a bit of coin- but so does a Voodoo.
Airgun wins for affordable in think over time
Imagine shooting 100s of shots at .45c or more each target ammo vs .07c for JSB
Slugs can be alot in bigger caliber but .22 is lower than target 22lr by half.
Now to learn about air tanks.

Skout  Skout .177...

I am considering another Skout for the stable but need a .177 as I have sold off everything I had in that caliber.

This brings me to the question, do any of you guys have an Epoch. EVO. or Compact in .177 that can give me an idea how and what they are shooting?

My EVO in .22 woth the LW Poly Bull Barrel is a straight up stud ...

Thanks in advance for your input

Pictures of various hose connects (information>

One area of confusion we notice at TopGun-Airguns is a lot of people have a hard time either describing, discerning, or determining various hose connections.
A lot of people get 1/8" vs. 1/4" confused, as well as BSPP/BSPT/NPT.

in order to help the forum members figure what each one looks like, here is a link to a page. Tap on any of the types of connectors, and a picture will show up.
For this to work, you WILL NEED TO choose 40" hose length (it needs that piece of information).

https://www.topgun-airguns.com/product/air-hose/

Let me know if this kind of information is helpful. And, if you know of a particular connector that you would like added, put it down below as a reply.
Thanks for keeping the thread "live" with your feeedback.
