When I was building rimfire benchrest rifles I had this killer shooting Benchmark barrel on an action of mine, I saved it in case I ever wanted to build myself another rifle. I thought of a way that I could turn it down without hurting the internal bore and I'm going to fit it on my MK3. I test fitted it today and it fits perfect, I just need to fit a .22 cal. transfer port and get a .22 cal. probe as my rifle is .25 cal. right now. With the reduction in weight from turning it down and getting it locked into the power block and the tensioner clamp, I think it should work very well......I will find out very soon......

I’ve had this gun since they invented it. Never sold it because it’s a great pitching wedge. Medium power, pleasure to shoot and no mechanical issues ever. But it’s one weakness is consistency. It’s a pretty darn accurate gun for the most part, but it’s like a crazy girlfriend. You just don’t know what you’re gonna get when you pick her up or get home from work. But after some flowers or compliments, it’s a great gun for the rest of that day. For the last year this has been my 14.3gr cheap pellet shooter. But on a recent trip for a family outing, I put it on a quality pellet in hopes of avoiding the crazy girlfriend syndrome. Day one, dialed it in and it was stellar. Day two it was off so we dialed it in and it was fine. Day three it was just not what it was the days before but still ok. The other guns I took were spot on all days. A couple weeks ago I was digging through my barrel collection and found a Kral barrel. Long sucker. I wondered if Kral barrels shoot 14.3 Crosmans. So I tried them in my Empire XS and Jumbo. They did pretty good but I needed a third opinion before I spent 3 hours on my lathe. I PM’ed Dr. Kralenstein and he basically said they will shoot. So yesterday it was crappy and a perfect day to build a barrel. I made it a smidge longer than stock and tightened the tolerances of the slip fit into the receiver. I used a Impact shroud and cut it to fit because I need an air stripper with such a short barrel. Shot the gun yesterday at the house, took it to my dads and shot it again. Then last night took it to my buddies and shot it. Brought it home and leaned it against a chair resting on the barrel. Got up today, still spot on. I mean cutting the same pellet holes from yesterday at 30 yards spot on. Haven‘t tested any other pellets except the Crosman 14.3 yet and I might not have to. So yes, this FX has a Kral barrel and so far, it’s better for it.

So I’ve noticed that my M3 is underperforming compared to a friends M3 at the range. I’m at 121 bar and pushing 24.8 .218 NSAs at 1002 FPS but my hammer spring is at 4.8ish.


My friend for comparison is pushing 27 grain .217 NSAs at 990 and only at 110 bar.

What’s weirder is that I have the power block and tungsten hammer and he has neither.

What’s goin on here?

I bought this brand new rifle with the newest HP GCU in 22 caliber in 2020 with the intention of using it for EBR and RMAC speed events but later decided I'm not shooting those bigger matches for the foreseeable future.
Another reason I'm selling this gun is I don't shoot pellets much anymore in powerful pcp's like this Redwolf because I have other powerful pcp's which I shoot more often while using slugs that I prefer for long range. I also bought a V3 recently to shoot slugs in so its time to let someone else enjoy this Redwolf, plus I wanted to keep the Redwolf in primo condition so it just sits in the safe.
I haven't shot it much, I doubt I have 3 tins of JSB MRD's through it.
It's in 99% condition and comes with all the original stuff that came in the box as well as it'll ship in the original box.

I tried it with Altaros slugs and it shoots them quite well. These slugs have about the same G1 BC than 22rf 40gr lead bullet! Altaros 31.2 gr slugs labeled "A" at 60 yards on most of the target, as well as the JSB 25.4 MRD's on the low right. Absolutely no tuning has been done to this gun so I'm sure it'd do better with a good tune and will shoot pellets better with a decent batch. The batch I shot those groups with gives flyers sometimes.
When I first got the gun I had 1.5 tins left that Mike N gave me and they shot fantastic through this gun but I ran out.

The Alaros 32.3 gr Smooth also shoot well in this RW and maybe even a hair better.

I had some small drop pieces of steel flashing and I decided to make a small Quonset Hut style Bird Feeder out of them. Couple of pieces of scarp wood, a bit of paint and whal-la the Deadliest Squirrel magnet . I mounted the Feeder out next to my 25-yard steel targets so that all the seeds that fall out of the Feeder will land on the ground next to the targets. As you can see in the third photo this guy thought he had found a free meal but it turned out to be a .177 cal pellet to the brain .

I shoot CPHP at about 1.5 cents each. Also JSB's 25 grains at about 4.5 cents each. But what is the cost per round for compressed air?

Obviously that cost is going to vary depending on the equipment you use to compress air and the FPS you're sending down range.

Here's a quick example for my AEA HP Carbine in .25 cal.


The fill calculator says I can re-fill my AEA from my 97cu great white tank about 18 times. I get about 40 shots per fill and it takes 30 mins to refill the great white with my YH compressor.

Lets say I get 100 hours out of the YH before it needs replacing. That's 200 fills or 200x18x40 = 144,000 shots. Assuming the cost of $300 for your YH and that's $300/144,000 = $0.0021 (2/10th of one cent per round). Of course that does not factor in electricity or compressor oil etc. Maybe you also get 200-300 hours out of a YH, so the cost is way less.

So in conclusion, even for a medium power round of about 35-40fpe, and using a cheap crappy disposable compressor, the cost is insignificant when compared to the cost of pellets.

Ok guys, so I sold my last 25cal airgun yesterday, and now have to fill the void.
for a little information, I primarily use my guns for woods walking, backyard petting, and shooting from my truck. The gun that filled this position before was a leshiy 2 25cal.
so what’s next? I’m not much of a bull pup guy (not a fan of the ping in my ear), and I really like carbines. If evol made a 25caliber, I wouldn’t be asking this question.
so my criteria are basically 25 caliber, decently rugged, Removsble magazine, compact or foldable for transport, decent power, but nothing crazy. The largest game I will take with it is coyote inside of 50yds.

so far I’ve looked at the panthera hunter with folding stock. I like it’s ability to tune up and down for certain opportunities. It also seems to have a more rugged build and barrel setup.

any other recommendations from the masses?

This gun is so nice and I even feel if you bought one new it's a extremely good value.

IS it conveniently possible to tune on a hunt for different animals ? Say you are shooting .22 cal for Squirrel ,along comes the opportunity to shoot that chicken stealing fox .
Can this "on the run" tune be done and a change in pellet for new target larger animal ?

One of the rifles I don’t have in my collection is a Delta Wolf. I am starting to see some used ones show up.

There really haven’t been many posts about these rifles considering how long they have been out now.

For those that own one in .22 or .25, I would appreciate the “real” scoop; the good, the bad, and the ugly.

I trying to decide if my next collection piece will be a Skout (when released in .22or .25) or Delta Wolf. Photos of real groups at ranges of 75 to 150 yards in distance will be appreciated.

Any operational or electronic issues? Battery life, etc?

As per the post title. Right now I've got duct seal spread on the back wall and it definetly helps, but it's a PITA for a variety of reasons, and once a spot is shot up it doesn't help.

I definetly think filling the rear external chase with some material would help.

I'd replace the duct seal with some of that self healing rubber used in indoor ranges, but I'm concerned about bounce back with a low power airgun.

Anyone have any bright ideas?

I Got a chance to shoot at a friend's property today.
I had not been there before, but he had told me it would be OK to shoot & that they hunted Axis deer there often.

I was not prepared for how beautiful it was.

The gun shot well with the majority of the slugs I was shooting.
I spent the day working my way through a dozen or so types & weights.
The standouts were from 54 to 65gn.
NSA 54.5 @ 980ish
61.5 and 65.5 Traveling around 900 & 860fps.
And the H&N hp 54gn going 980-990.

I bought a ton of these when they were on sale sometime last year and out of all my .22's, I've yet to find one that 'likes' the .22 H&N Baracuda Hunter Extremes. I was curious if anyone out there has a rifle that likes them. If so, what speeds are you shooting them?

I had a few hours I could take, so headed down to the former dairy. It was raining on and off. The action was light, not many birds about. I shot ten today, the two sparrows and one starling at 30 yards. The remaining seven from the horizontal members in that high barn (54 yards). After my first two at 54 yards, I went up to recover the bodies. But the loft was sketchy, I felted like I could fall through. I took the picture of the two and headed back down. Set up again, 2.5 MILs of holdover and took five more! But, I wasn’t going back up there. I also missed at least five shots on sparrows and starlings. And wasn’t fast enough at least as many times to set up the shot in other instances. The Atomic XR was as usual, sweet, sweet, sweet. I typically keep my shots on sparrows and starlings sub 40 yards. But the Atomic has proven to be consistently accurate out to 50-64 yards. Enough for said critters, so going forward, I’ll will stretch it out just a little.

Can I get some help identifying this air rifle. I want to buy it from a friend but we do not know its value. Could someone help me figure out what it is worth.
