Greetings all, I just got my WA Sidewinder in .30 cal. I've done some shooting with it and put around about 500 rounds through it. But I have 2 questions for y'all who have similar guns or experience with it.
1) The AOA video put out by Jared Clark says it comes factory tuned at 150 bar reg pressure and with that produces 80 FPE with 44.75gr pellets. Mine came with reg preset at 170 bar and with 44.75gr I'm only getting 80+ FPE. Did I get a bad one or does anyone have the same experience?
2) It likes most kinds of pellets. I've tried JSB 44.7/50.15, ZAN 56gr, Hades 44.75 and they're all getting a very nice jagged 0.5" hole at 35 yds. But she don't seem to like slugs. I've tried NSA 47.2gr, 61.6gr, ZANs 45.5gr, 49gr, 59gr, H&N 50gr, 54 gr, FX hybrids 44.5 but nothing seems to group satisfactorily with slugs. I have some Javelins on order but they haven't arrived. Anyone as any recommendations? I'd hate to think this is purely pellet gun for its price tag.

I am returning hatsan .22 cal pcp. I’m looking for the most powerful and the most reliable 22 caliber or 25 caliber, semi automatic PCP. my budget is around $850-$1000 thank you!

I have an M3 500mm .22 pellet setup for pest control and < 100 yard target shooting. I recently added a second M3 .25 700mm slug setup for > 100 target shooting. It shot great out of the box with NSA 26.8g @ 960 FPS. I wanted more out of my investments and ordered 2x slug power kits and a 700mm barrel tensioner kit. Now here's what I ran into after a bunch of testing and headache.

1) The pin probe - On the 700mm after a dozen or so shots I had flyers all over the place. I couldn't consistently get my shots to group at 20 yards. I thought my dam scope was broken. I added the CB shroud and a new Impulse Air 1350 moderator so I pulled the mod and put the stock one back on with no change in accuracy, So I pulled the CF barrel tensioner off and still had the same results. Later that afternoon, after lots of swearing, I pulled the moderator apart to check for pellet clippings. Sure enough there was a huge load of lead dust and slivers inside the IA and stock moderators. So I started to track down alignment issues. Why the hell is the moderator not lined up? I know my pin probe was seating the slug a sliver past the S port so it couldn't be the probe. I checked my probe alignment as I've heard of the top screw coming lose and the probe going cockeyed. It was fine. I pulled the barrel and low and behold, it was filled with lead particles. Turns out shallow dished slugs go all cockeyed with the small pin. Installing the stock pellet probe fixed the problem. The 10 FPS gain from the pin probe is not worth the potential problems IMO.

So I started putting lead downrange with my 500mm setup and new pin probe. I paid attention to feel when the probe was pushing the slugs in the breach. I could actually feel maybe 1 out of a dozen stick while feeding. I'm pretty sure the slug was not straight and caught the transfer port edge. I pulled the barrel after shooting a slug that got hung up and there was lead particles in the barrel which is exactly what happened on the 700mm gun.

Pin probe = no bueno.

2) CF Barrel Tensioner - The whole design had my eyebrow raised when I first installed it. The system is so dependent on the ends of the tubing to be cut perfectly squared. I've read a post on another forum with an Impact owner that had a funky cut tube where it would tweak his barrel. Sure enough my tube does the same thing. If you accidentally loosen the end locking nut by unscrewing your moderator and the tube spins, your shot placement shifts. I actually took a sharpie and marked my tube. I spun it in 90 degree increments and the groups shift matching the tube rotation. The dam tube is not squared up. What a bummer.

I got this Diana…how much would it sell for? Diana 34s have gone up in price considerably. I recall they used to sell for like $280…now over $400 which is interesting to say the least…

So a good friend let me at this m3 22 and I love it. Wife said I am not allowed to play with him anymore Jphef You got me in trouble. Hahahaha. Just tune it. Tight spread and shooting good sighting this weekend 40-150 yards. Lots of walking but worth it.

My springers get neglected during the nice outside weather conditions and get worked pretty heavy on the inside range in the winter, choosing to focus on longer range shooting with the pcps in nice weather.

Finishing up dope chart work on all of my airguns today, I shot this 10 shot group at 61.4 yards shooting my HW77 Vortek tuned .22 utilizing the JSB Hades 15.89 Gr pellet. 6 out of 10 found themselves within 3/4”. Even more impressive, once I had the yardage calculations complete, I never missed a spinner from 55 yards on in at 5 yard intervals, including the 15mm spinner at 35 yards.

They are indeed fun to shoot and require no stopping to fill!

Some of the pellets sit flush and others are seated further in the magazine. Is this normal?

For sale is one of the most accurate rifles I've owned. It's the longer length with the rarer Walnut "Skeletonized" Stock that makes it much lighter. At the time of buying, no other guns had this stock. This gun is basically a new and improved version of the Edgun Matador. It has an amazingly accurate CZ Hammer Forged barrel.


The gun was sent in to Ernest Rowe, the man himself, to do his tune job special for the Crickets.
The rifle was;
- Crowned and polished barrel
- Installed custom spring for the action and metal valve spring replacing the factory's
- Installed a De-pinger (no twang or any sound from the rifle)
- Rebuilt the factory regulator to a custom setup
- Upgraded every factory O-ring and completely lubed and resealed the gun
- Installed a custom trigger that was tuned for an amazingly light pull
- Upgraded the gun's fill rate and ported the shroud for extra silence.
This gun only makes noise from the pellet hitting.


He set it up for a custom shot string (pictured) keeping the gun around 50FPE for with only an 11 FPS deviation! It can do 60~ shots before real accuracy loss, this can be edited with the custom power knob I bought from Ernest Rowe to add more power or add more shots. This thing is a tack driver at 100yards and farther!

Is PyramydAIR a top tier airgun vendor for someone looking at this sport as a potential new hobby?

There is a little lever on the right of our Edgun Leshiy 2. When depressed, it lifts a pin that allows the rifle to open (unfold) on a hinge. At that point, the rifle taken down, i.e., separated by a release button into two pieces.

When I press the little lever, the pin does not lift, thus the rifle cannot be opened to swap magazines. It is currently a doorstop. I will not force it.

I lightly lubricated the pin, to no effect.

Any ideas what might be preventing opening the rifle? Phoning the dealer who sold it to me is not an option, for a number of reasons. Thanks!

Unfortunately, college is quite pricey so I have to sell some stuff for now. I have an Impact M3 that’s had quite a bit done to it. 700m, 25 cal, superior heavy liner, an accu tac bipod, not sure which one, and then some internal stuff. Different grip on it as well. Not sure I want to sell the gold bipod. I Have an Athlon Ares on top but I think I’ll keep that. A bunch of 25. cal slugs, NSA and Zan. Then an FX Dreamline in 25. cal that I hardly ever got around to using and is still completely stock. It’s got an Athlon Argos BTR on top. I have a Maverick set up in a 480cc CF bottle and a 500 mm .22 barrel shooting JSB 18 grain pellets about 880 fps. The slug probe and digital gauge are installed right now. The digital gauge is a must if you plan on tuning. Will come with 6 mags, 1 single shot loader, 1 pellet probe, 3 different hammer weights, and a 700 mm .22 slug barrel. The slug barrel shoots the JSB KO 25 grain extremely well. Not interested in any trades. The pellet barrel will be removed when shipped but its very easy to reinstall it once you get it. Hi all, I am about as new as they come to all manners of air guns. Back story I am 65 years old and not in the best of health, I am blind in my right eye and now have a pacemaker near the left collar bone right at the point where the buttstock rests. I have enjoyed shooting sports and hunting most of my life but now I have restrictions. Now I am looking into air rifles. I have traded for a Benjaman Trail NP .22 that needs resealed, I am also looking at a Umarex Gauntlet .25 PCP to start my journey. I would welcome any constructive thoughts and/or advice as I start down this path.

Well, I confess I am not at all good with my hands, not any kind of handyman at all. But this one is strange and I think it is probably something that might be obvious to those on AGN that are gifted with mechanical ability. I have a Williams FP-AG-TK peep that was mounted for a long time on a CZ457 22lr with 11mm. dovetail. I moved it to my HW35 a while back and it worked fine. I removed it to use a scope for a while and then tried to mount it on the 35 again. It would not fit on properly. I did not do anything to it that could have harmed it. I tried it also on my HW30 and have the same problem. Here are pictures that might give a clue to you guys, but I am clueless. Any suggestions?
