Just pray for me...

Some of you know very well that I am usually quite the active member here...
...been so busy with life and trying to just stay above water lately that I've not slung lead in almost or more than a month...I've lost track😔
Been working my job and turning right around and putting in up to 12hrs on top of that just to make my house livable...which is still far from being done😑
Consequently; my relationships with friends, family, and everyone else have suffered...for that I greatly apologize.
But I can't stop now; however my body is screaming at me to slow down and take a break. I just keep telling myself to keep going because nobody else is gunna step up amd do what I am doing.😑 life is a short trip; so I am trying/giving my all to get setup and comfy enough to actually take a break....I'm just babbling at this point in time and hoping/wishing that some good vibes and prayers be sent my way. Some pics.of the hell I have to deal.with are below🫠😶‍🌫️
Roof needs fixed, Hella trash and debris, lawn needs redone, driveway needs redone, needs siding, needs a few windows, heaps of crap need hauled.off, multiple fridges and freezers that got.left full.of food, canned goods from clear back in 1997, newspapers from the 60s through a few years ago...I could go on...😐
I'm struggling...but I am still alive, kicking and screaming against the sands of time. Much love and kudos to those who have actually reached out to me in private.

Sincerely,

Jon (Toast) Swift 🎩🤙

PCP Rifle  NLA Taipan veteran standard 25

Looking to sell my veteran standard in 25 cal.
I purchased this a few months ago bc I really love the 25 cal king heavies. This shoots them super accurate at 870-880fps. It also shoots 25gn at 930-940. Also very accurate.
I find myself reaching for the 30 cal more often, so I think my 25csl days are officially over.

I bought this used here from another member. Added a pic rail mounted mag holder.
will come with 2 mags, all the goodies that come from the factory, boxed well, and shipped conus all for $1000 PayPal preferred.
will take money order or bankers checks also, but be aware, I will not ship rifle till checks have cleared.

message with any questions, or for additional pictires.

buy with confidence knowing I have a perfect feedback score, and have been buying and selling here for quite some time.
thanks foe looking.

Umarex  Help with notos trigger

It’s horrible!!!!!

So I’ve cleaned the barrel, adjusted the trigger to @Dairyboy specs, and tried shooting some groups.
25-30yds it’s shotgun pattern still, but if I REALLY REALLY concentrate, I can get it to group a little.
I’m tolling his up to the trigger being heavy and hard to predict. I’m sure I’m pulling shots when pulling the trigger.
I really want to keep this thing, and give it the benefit of the doubt. It was so cheap after all, but I can’t stand the trigger.

Anyone know what I can do to improve it? I’m not looking match grade, just a nice predictable pull, and perhaps 1 pound pull.

American Air Arms  Proper Lubrication

Hey guys I wanted to let you guys know what I stupidly did, and to check your lubricants and make sure you use the correct for the materials of your rifles.

I was working on doing a reseal on my American Air Arms Paradigm and I stupidly used the wrong lubricant on my seals. The cylinder of these rifle are titanium as well as the end cap where the foster fitting as well as the air gauge is located. There is an o-ring on the cap that I replaced and used Aquagel that I got from Best Fittings I believe. Well when I was screwing back on the cap to the cylinder things got tight. I attempted to remove the cap to try and clean things up and.... yup.... things seized up and stuck.

After using a hair dryer, heat gun, and hot water with no luck. So I was able to get in contact with Tom and he suggested only using Ulitmox as it is a teflon based grease.

With Tom's guidance I did get some penetrating oil and let the cap soak for a few hours. Nothing seems to have moved so I have to go with the next step. I am going to be sending the cylinder and parts back to Tom to make sure I didn't cross thread anything, and to repair the cylinder. I am hoping it wont be to much of a price tag, but things happen sometimes. Lets use this as a learning experience and not make a stupid mistake like this again.

Weihrauch firearms

I was looking at pistols today. I knew FWB made a 22 cal target rifle but Weihrauch actually makes firearm pistols. The EAA Windicator is a 38 special or 357 magnum/38 special snub nose revolver actually made by Weihrauch. It is heavy, big and built like a tank but is cheap and somewhat unfinished. I think they make other guns. This cheap gun is puzzling to me considering the high quality of their airguns. Just found it interesting even though topic wise, probably does not belong here. May get one as I just love German air guns and firearms.

What's he hoping for?

I started off the day by working on my M3 22 trigger. I polished the sears and such a month ago and got chastised for doing it the way I did. It turned out better but still 2# + . So today I cut maybe 1/3 of the trigger spring. This was after finding I could get a replacement spring from Amazon next day. Still above 1# adjusted to just barely cocking. Enough of this , I cut more off to about 1/2 total as suggested by numerous folks. Of course I ended up with something to light for now. Luckily the adjustment screw got me in the 11oz range which is ok until I get used to it.
The goal is to get a 200 on the 30 yard challenge. Success!
Somewhere between a 199, 197, 198 and at last 200. This guy came to see what was going on. Yep I was a bit startled, but it's no danger except to a stray mouse or mole which it is welcome to. Change target and get on with it.

End of an era...Finally got a compressor.

Although I went kinkin' and screamin'...I had to hang up my hand pump...Just takes too much effort now after my stroke....I can still do it but hard to get out of bed the next day! Getting an Omaga Trail Charger...pre-ordered a month or so ago...AOA said they got 50 in and had 72 pre-ordered...bummer for someone....Not gunna' know how to act...probably have to get more pellets and I can turn up the power now...not concerned about shot count! Hand pumped for 19 years!

Kalibrgun  Shooting the Cricket 2 Long this morning....

I had an idea for a new baffle design and made them for my carbon fiber moderator I made..... was testing it out this morning on my woods range. It works really well and sounds even more quiet than before. I set up my chronograph and did some fine tuning to the Cricket 2 shooting the Crosman 14.3's at 50 yards and they were shooting good at around 920fps. I really like this Cricket rifle, I shoot it more than my new M3.... I also had my guard dog/ cat standing guard on the other side of the bench while I was shooting... she follows me everywhere I go......:)

PCP Rifle  SOLD New In The Box Daystate Safari .25 Cal $2300!

Good morning! I have a brand new never fired (except store room test sheet) Daystate Safari .25 cal! Unfortunately this year has included lots of medical bills and other unforeseen financial challenges which leaves me with having to sell this rather than shoot it.

I received this last year (Oct 2022) in exchange for having done media coverage for Daystate; since I was currently shooting for another brand, I didn’t get the chance to bring this out to the range (but in this case, my loss is your gain because it’s still brand new).

Needing to cover my bills and create funds to cover some of this year’s YouTube projects, I’ve decided to sell this for less than you could buy one new off the shelf. The only caveat is if you intend to buy it, you need to go out and have some fun with it in my behalf :).

$2300 + shipping and it’s yours; that’s $600 less than you can buy a brand new Safari :).

PCP Rifle  NLA RTI Prophet Performance 2 Compact .25 cal. Atlas Bipod, scope, rings, Huma moderator more! Excellent condition.

Selling my RTI Prophet 2 Performance compact. .25 cal. Bought it brand new from a dealer back in April of this year (2023), and have put less than a half a tin of JSB pellets through it. It’s an absolutely amazing gun. At under 50 yards, I was getting dime size groups with standard JSB pellets - and I’m an old fella with old eyes.

Unfortunately, the Prophet 2 has been mostly a safe queen for me. Most of my shooting these days is under 50yards and this gun is really begging to be pushed further. I just don’t have the range.

So there you have it: My only reason for selling is that I simply haven’t got the time or the range to shoot it as much as I’d wish. Otherwise, I’d keep it no doubt. Excellent gun in equally excellent condition. Always cleaned and carried in a case (I kept it in a beautiful LBT pack - see photos). Babied not bullied. Even the HUMA moderator has its own padded bag (an old drawstring lens bag).

This Prophet 2 performance compact is in excellent near new condition. All accessories are as young as the gun (April ‘23). Add it all up, you know this is the best deal going on AGN bar none:

Gun: RTI Prophet 2 Performance compact. Carbon bottled version. Still on all factory settings. Never messed with the reg or changed any settings. No leaks, no creep, no wheezing. Chambered in .25 cal.

Scope: USO OPTICS TS-12x MHR (Mil Hunting Reticle) FFP
Has 3-12x magnification 30mm tube

Scope Rings: Seekins Precision. Made in the USA.

Bipod: Genuine ATLAS (not a knockoff, the real deal). Made in the USA.

Moderator: HUMA MOD50 (the compact Prophet 2 has a bit of bark, this mod really calms it down to be backyard, even front yard, friendly).

Bag: London Bridge Trading SBR pack (fits the Prophet compact like a glove). Quality made right here in the USA.

Extras: 2 new sets of spare O-rings (for the complete gun), 4 RTI .25cal magazines in total.

Also included (but not pictured) the original RTI hard case that the prophet came in. It’s a padded hard case, great for carrying the gun, but too small to fit it with the scope and moderator attached.
Im asking $2100 for this entire setup. That’s a savings of over $1000. What you see is what you get.
Look, I get it - my setup may not be your dream setup, so if you want JUST the gun and 1 magazine (shipped in the original hard case): $1200. Again, that’s for JUST the prophet compact and 1 magazine in the original hard case. (No scope, no scope rings, no bipod, no moderator, no extra mags, no LBT bag). Still a bargain for a barely used beauty.
My asking price includes shipping anywhere in lower 48. Sorry, not shipping overseas - so don’t bother asking if you’re not in the lower 48. Too much trouble and no way for me to track. Will be shipped unloaded and degassed.

Please, please - no low balls. Let’s not waste each others time. My asking price is more than fair. PayPal friends and family only. I believe I’ve spelled everything out here, but if you’ve got any remaining questions - just ask.

The only question I won’t respond to is: “Is this still available?” If you’re reading this posting - then yes, it’s still for sale!

Message me or shoot me a text with any Q’s : 3036536921

Everything comes from a smoke-free home.

Thanks for checking out my listing! Aim small… miss small. God bless.

Brocock/BRK  My Atomic Has Arrived....

So I had recently sold my FX dreamtac .177 set at 10fpe and was looking for a replacement. As a new owner of a ghost .30 I began to look at the BRK line something I never did and I don't know why I never did sijxe they have some great looking stuff. The build on the brk leave you feeling like you have a well built rigid piece of equipment in your hand with reliability. I narrowed it down to the pathfinder, ranger, or atomic and the pathfinder was high on the list but I didn't have the extra funds so I went with the atomic in .177. When I got it the box was HUGE and when I opened it I saw this nice and compact little work of art. It's my incognito setup so with it being so compact from the start I was okay adding a moderator to it as it would still be way shorter than my dreamtac with a moderator at 40". Well tried a few options and was able to get it to the man that sounds broken type of sound I like and so far very happy with it. Just waiting for a range day to try a few other mods with a buddy @ctshooter. I know a sub12 and my case a 10fpe pcp doesn't appeal to everyone but it serves a purpose of not only being my incognito setup but probably one of my most used setups as it's a 30y and under setup. In my old dreamtac I wasn't even getting a pass through on field mice at 25y. I am really enjoying it and so far it's getting right around 39-45 shots in the little tube which is perfect what what I wanted. The fx atomic pellets and crossman hollow points are showing promise.

What Type of Risk of Damage Does Extreme Heat Pose To PCP Airguns?

When I say “extreme heat” I mean 100F and higher. What type of damage can these temperatures pose to a PCP airgun? I have several black airguns and they get hot at shooting table or mounted atop a tripod after being situated in moderate heat (82F - 90F) and sunlight for 20-45 mins or more. Besides perching beneath a tent or shade tree, should I be concerned by the damage that extreme heat can pose to internal PCP components?
