FX  FX No Limits mounts loosing zero

I have been shooting a FX Crown Mark ll (700mm barrel) for a couple of years. I was very impressed with this air rifle and how accurate it was punching five shot groups through near enough the same hole.

My first issue with the gun was the magazines failed to feed. I had to return both my magazines to have their springs adjusted.

My second issue was that the magazine wasn't seating correctly and the probe was obstructed from inserting a pellet into the breach. I removed and tightened the screw in the prob/hammer assembly. The vibration of the rifle had loosened the screw that holds this in place.

I like to use a single shot tray, I got used to single loading due to the issues with my magazines. Therefore, I didn't notice my third and latest issue.

As you may be aware, the magazine sits very high on a Crown Mark ll. I was sold a set of FX No Limits Mounts with the gun and advised that I would need a higher mount by my gun dealer. At first all was well, but then I noticed that the FX vertical adjust was gradually moving down, this stopped the magazine from seating property. This seems to be a recurring issue.

The mounts gradual movement are affecting the point of impact and making holding zero very difficult.

I leveled my rifle, I then leveled the FX mounts and finally leveled the scope to the rifle. This is a procedure I have gone through multiple times with these mounts.

Has anyone else had issues like these with FX No Limits scope mounts? I know that the air rifle community think that these mounts are amazing, but I am less than impressed because they will not hold zero.

I would like to hear if anyone has suggestions to fix this problem. To be honest I am at the point of just purchasing a set of high Sportsmatch mounts. Can anyone please tell me a what size of high Sportsmatch mounts I would need to clear the magazine on my Crown?

FX  Panthera groups

Just because you have good chronograph numbers doesn't mean nothing if your gun is not accurate. My rifle has a 500mm barrel . My best numbers with hybrid 22 grain slugs was at 974 fps and spread of 10 fps. 2.9 std. Best group was .685 at 50 yards. Definitely pushing them to fast. Tuned down to 950 and groups are getting better. My number with the monster jsb was best at 935 but not shooting good dropped down to a tune with a worse std and spread and average of 912 fps and shot three groups that are very good for me. Two of them are the best groups at 50 yards with pellets that I have ever shot...you never know!!! Bottom groups for for panthera.

Shooting at night.

I don't know really how to word this and keep it concise. Alot of my free time is at night. So I bought a couple of solar lights that are mainly used for lighting up bushes/landscape/walkway. This set-up is at 25 and or 30 yds. The 1st & biggest issue I encountered was eye fatigue. It really comes on quickly. The next was how cramped the eye box got. The next was HOW much more focus is needed to get those tight groups. It really opens up more challenges in my hobby. I also noticed with my 1 scope that has illuminated reticle that on one of my targets it helps and the other I use I'm better off with it off. My scopes are Hawke AMX so the cross-hairs thin. What do you all think ? Any other night-owls here at AGN.

New Member

Hello everyone!

New member here. Been shooting centerfire and rimfire all my life, but fairly new to airguns in a serious way (but shot Crossman BB and pellet guns as a kid). Started out with a .177 Air Arms TX200 about 2 years ago, then purchased a Benjamin Kratos .22 PCP about 18 months ago. Just shooting benchrest with a friend for bragging rights, but no competition (yet). After a nightmare with my Kratos (more on that latter), I'm now starting to think about a high end PCP, so decided to join Airgun Nation the other day after lurking here for the past year or so...lol

Cheers!

PCP Rifle  NLA Gen 1 Gauntlet .25 in AR2078 stock

$300 shipped to lower 48, OBO. Paypal F&F preferred payment.

I built this one quite some time ago and never shoot it anymore. Time to let it move on to someone who will enjoy it.

This would be a great gun for someone who is not necessarily a tuner/modder, but enjoys customizing the finish of a gun to their likings. The gun is well tuned, but cosmetically unfinished.

It began life as a Gen 1 Gauntlet .25, one of the very early models that was on preoorder.

DonnyFl short shroud with 1/2-20 adapter
Shroud vented, vents hidden inside barrel band
barrel sleeved with cf tubing inside shroud.
Internal SSG
Lightened OEM hammer with peek striker IIRC the hammer is around 25grams.
peek poppet
single shot tray
1 Umarex magazine (not pictured)
AR2078 stock
AR2078 Trigger
22ci 3000psi aluminum tank
Ninja Regulator. Reg set at 1800psi
Magnetic Ninja foster fill port cover
UTG 4-16 scope
12" picatinny rail extending under tank
Ebay chinese bipod
The safety lever will ship with the gun, but is not installed in the pics. The gun will likely ship with action removed from stock to shorten the package.

Currently it is tuned for roughly 40 shots of 33.95gr JSB King Heavies at 875-885fps. Switching to 25.39gr Kings with this tune results in 980fps, a bit fast, but still surprisingly accurate. 'The gun has a solid tune, does not leak and is fairly accurate for what it is.

I have never shot other pellets nor slugs, I have no idea how the gun will perform with anything other than JSB Kings and King Heavies.

The stock could use refinishing to the new owner's tastes. Other than that it is a very consistent, reliable gun.

I am including as many pics as I can to show the good bad and ugly of this gun.

The target below was shot this morning at 100 yards. Not cherry picked, this is an example of filling the gun to 3000psi and shooting groups. The gun will consistently produce 1.25-2" groups at 100 yards using JSB King Heavies. That group in the top center, that is 10 shots of 25gr Kings at 980fps, aiming at the center bull.

Everything seen pictured on the gun is what you will receive, plus 1 OEM Gauntlet magazine and the safety lever.

JTS Aircuda Max vs Air Venturi Avenger, Regulated personal opinion

Hello everyone,

I would like to hear from the membership as to their “personal” experience with the following two rifles. If you own one of these rifles now or have owned one in the past and can give me a “true personal review” of the goods and bads, I truly would appreciate it.

1) JTS Airacuda Max .22cal

2) Air Venturi Avenger, Regulated .22cal

Thank you,
ThomasT

Quick review.

The rifle is a complete tank and lives up to all the reviews. The cocking is smooth and solid beyond belief. Trigger is perfect, but that is already a proven fact. What surprised me the most was how quite the stock moderator is. I had every intention of replacing it, but cannot justify that with how well it works. If anything it is a little annoying it works that well. I was thinking Mod 50 or Behemoth, but those plans for a new toy seem to crushed for the moment. It is a little on the heavier side, but this is no surprise as well. I’m sure the fact that there are zero plastic parts/cast on it contributes to that. Shooting .25 at 910fps currently. That was adjusted down for the 1000fps. You really can’t go wrong for the price. Quality is that of a $2800 rifle.

Left PayPal a year ago,.....it sure has its drawbacks.

When I left I didn't realize it would have made things that much harder, I can deal with the inconvinience of quick and convinient money transfers from my side but now I've lost several sales because I didn't realized how much people nowadays just deal with those types, it seems people don't even know anymore how to use USPS money orders or bank cashiers check, some don't even know they exist,

very sad how progress actually makes people significantly more stuck into things being done for them, soon nobody wont even know how to drive because cars will do everything for them, sad.

FX  What I like of the FX Panthera Hunter Compact .25 Cal and what I do not.

What I like:

- Total length.- perfect size for a hunting rifle.

- Shots per fill.- the 580 cc bottle in front and the 300 cc bottle in the rear give a lot of shots per fill.

- Capacity of the magazine.- it takes time to refill the magazine but you have many shots before empty the magazine.

- Accuracy.- if you get to control the rifle, it is very accurate.

- Power.- this small rifle has all power you could need for hunting smaller critters than coyotes.

What I do not like at all:

=> THE TRIGGER.- this rifle has a so bad trigger that makes very difficult to get the accuracy and therefore to appreciate the advantages above listed.

PD.- After Nealgl1985 advice in this thread, the trigger feels better!

PCP Rifle  SOLD Benjamin Prod Bullpup with 1-8x28mm 30mm MRC Scope and Extras $550 Shipped

Prod Bullpup1.jpgProd Bullpup 2.jpgProd Bullpup 3.jpgProd Bullpup 4.jpg

Im selling a hard to find Prod Bullpup. It’s a Benjamin Prod (.22) in a Rapid-70 Bullpup kit. The Bullpup kit alone was over $350. It is high quality metal and is very well designed. There is no slop in the trigger. This kit comes with the later added factory installed front Picatinny rail. It is extremely accuate. I added a front grip that works perfect when in open and closed position. This is important because it gives a great hold up front! I added a rubber pistol grip wrap so I don’t feel any metal or plastic. The grip has storage for 2 magazines (included). It comes with a red dot UTG Leapers Inc 1-8x28mm 30mm MRC Scope. It comes with a 1/2" LDC Adapter. It all makes for a great combination. At only 20” long, the Bullpup is extremely compact and with the case included, it makes for the perfect Truck gun. The original parts including the gauge come with it in case you want to switch back to origional and have both configurations.

I have plenty of great reviews here on AGN and GTA, buy with confidence!

I’ll take Paypal, Venmo, a cleared check, or a USPO money order. You pay any fees.

PCP Rifle  SOLD Air Arms S200 .177 with BSA TMD 6x24x44 scope and sunshade $600 Shipped

AA S200 1.jpg AA S200 2.jpg

For sale is my most beautiful rifle. It is a Air Arms S200 (.177) rifle professionally painted in a polished gloss black finish. The rifle is incredibly accurate as expected and the trigger is wonderful as well. The stock and rifle is in fantastic shape, I don't see any marks on the rifle or the stock other than a slight scratch on the bottom where the stock screw is located. It is a single feed. It has a Mac1 moderator that will need to be heated on to the rifle if you want it to be deadly quiet. It will come with the BSA TMD 6x24x44 scope and sunshade. It also has that hard-to-find stock removal tool. It comes with a set of O-rings, and the fill port. It is perfect for the Suburban back yard shooter.

I have years of great buy/sell reps here and on the GTA. buy with confidence. I’ll take Paypal, Venmo, a cleared check, or a USPO money order. You pay any fees.

2023 Pyramyd Air Cup (Part 1)

Hey guys. I finally made it to my first airgun event. I was not dissapointed. Tons of fun! Here is a recap of my first day. Thanks for watching! -Nate

Note: This is actually Day 2 (Fri). Day 1 (Thurs) was Gunslinger and Day 3 (Sat) is 100 yd Bench and Day 3-4 (Sat/Sun) is Field Target

HogKillers target rich permission, minutes from home.

Found out today about a property, not really very large, maybe 2 acres infested, with ground squirrels. Lots of stuff to hide behind and if my math is right, my Sapsan with the red-dot would be perfect, 35 yards max shots. Will need to be VERY CAREFUL, houses all around the property. Can hardly wait for this one.

N/A  Does anyone own a PTE Airgun or had a chance to shoot one?

I don't know how long they have been making this exact model, but this is exactly what I am looking for in an air rifle for a bench gun.

https://pte-rifles.nl/Specificatie-s-PTE-220-300/ (Hint: Use Google Translate to convert to english.)

NO Barrel Liners
NO Barrel Shrouds
NO Set-screws to hold the barrel in place in the action
Premium - I dare say among the best barrels in the entire world - Stainless Steel Cut Rifling Krieger! Threaded to the action!

The only thing I read that made me wonder was this but below - But for a benchrest gun, a regulated bottle would be the way to go anyway, I would think.

For the time being, the weapons are not regulated. Most sport shooters shoot straight from the bottle with an external regulator. There are plans to design and build a regulator, but realizing that will take a lot of time and research. This option can also be built into existing PTE rifles at a later stage.

N/A  Silicone oil and grease, and o-rings

For your perusal -

Just getting into RC cars, I found this section of various silicone lubes of different viscosity's. Used for tuning shocks . From easily pourable to a lot higher viscosity.
NOTE - I bought some 70w. it's still pourable.
And yes, it's pure silicone. as advertised.

Then there is the "dif. grease". I'm guessing it's similar to most silicone grease viscosity (?) . Pretty thick, not really pourable.
Then, I posted the address to the whole section again, because they have a LOT of silicone, o-rings. But, only some of the venders list the size (by dimension and or by size number ), some don't ! Use at your own risk.

So, if you have a problem finding silicone lube...here ya go.
