Theoben rapid 7 won’t fire

I have filled my bottle to 220 bar and attached it to the gun, I then try a dry fire and there is no air release.
The rifle was taken apart to the main components recently this is removing trigger mechanism, barrel, stock and reassembled.
Can anyone guide me as to what might be the issue and how I can rectify the situation.
Thanks

RED WOLF IN A TARGET STOCK

Meet Neil Palmer who is the reigning HFT World Champion, Neil chose to take on rounds 6 and 7 of the UKAHFT National series with the latest Daystate Red Wolf Grand Prix. Last Saturday Neil took 3rd Place with a great 55 and on Sunday, he took the Open class win with an amazing 57ex60, which is all great preparation for this weekend (16-17 September) when Neil will be competing in the World HFT Championships with his Daystate Red Wolf Grand Prix. Good Luck Neil!

FX  Running out of crap to put on my fx impact mkii

the huma reg is impressive, i like the airmarksman backbone even though it doesn’t match, i did not want to spend so much on the backbone but finally broke down and now i have no regrets. (matches M3?). I have the sleeve for the straw barrel but not excited about glueing it on. This impact started out as a compact 25 cal.

FX  How many o-ring in a complete FX Impact M3 kit?

I happened to see this, are there really 68 0-rings in an Impact M3. Wow that is a lot of o-rings.

HW/Weihrauch  New to me HW80SL .177

Got a new toy in on Monday and am just now getting around to playing with it. So far I am definitely liking it although it is a bit lower powered than the seller had made it out to be (probably for the best lol). Either way the shot cycle is pretty tame for what it is.

He he had deleted the factory sights and added a pretty slick looking muzzle brake which IMO is a nice touch to an already nice gun. It is looooong though. I'm still figuring out my holds for it but so far so good. The seller was also nice enough to throw in a Bushnell 4-12x for me which I'm really liking. Sometimes a nice simple duplex reticle is a nice break from all the dirty reticles I'm typically fond of.

Anyway, here are some pictures!

First attempts at some 50yd groups. I was playing with the scope and stock torque so things did seem to move on my a bit. Gotta figure out what she likes somehow!

  • Question
FX  Velocity won’t increase.

I recently bought a used WC mk3 22 cal. Trying to shoot fx atomic 15.9grn. I can’t get the WC to shoot past 800fps. I’ve increased the reg from 80 to 150 and adj hammer accordingly. Also swapped from 500 to 600mm…no change. Also put a power plenum on and still no change. I switch the 600mm from pellet to slug and still no change. Any suggestions what it could be? Thanks

N/A  Visual pellet in flight

Was playing with my Long Ranger this morning, mostly from 90-170 yards. Last week I slowed the pellets down a bit and can now see most of them in flight. It was only a 20fps decrease but made a difference (or at least has in the conditions of these first couple shooting sessions at slower speeds).

So dang cool to watch them arc up and back down as they impacted (mostly) where I wanted them to.

I've always enjoyed sub20fpe airguns the most, and usually pellets can be seen in flight at that power.

This summer I've also had a ton of fun with the .20/19.8gr NSA slugs and they're going at 870-880, and also usually visible in flight.

Got to wondering if being able to see the projectile in flight makes the experience more enjoyable to anybody else, or if it's just me?

A little thought experiment on classes (good vibes only)

First, this is just some random navel gazing. I am not advocating for any kind of change to the current rules or class structure in AAFTA. Please don't come in here with a bunch of feelings. This is fun time, not grumpy time.

Having said that, as I was driving back from a job today, I got to thinking: If I was going to re-invent field target today, what would that look like?

I think the rules about course setting and targets is pretty good, so I'll focus on the classes.

First we would have Open class.
Open class allows a maximum of 20fpe.
Any scope is allowed.
Any shooting aids allowed in the current AAFTA rules are allowed (sticks, high seat, bum bag, jacket, glove, knee pads, hamster, harness, butt hook, etc).
Shooting aids would be allowed for forced position lanes. (This basically means you can use sticks for kneeling and standing).
No range finders. (Rangefinding is the soul of FT. Wind reading is the devil of FT.)
So essentially, current open class rules with the addition of high seats and sticks, sticks allowed for any lane.

Next we have WFTF. This would mirror the international WFTF rules as it does currently.

That's it. I thought about having a third class that would be called "Limited" which would be essentially the current hunter class gun and scope restrictions, with the thinking that it would be a beginner/traditionalist class. But then I got to thinking, why? I really doubt very many people would choose to shoot 16x with no clicking if they were given the option not to. If you want to limit yourself to 16x and not click, there's nothing stopping you from doing that in Open class.

Here is my thought process. This would allow people currently shooting Open class to keep doing what they like. This would leave WFTF alone. So the main impact would be allowing the current Hunter class to go ahead and use the whole scope. If you look at the guns and scopes used this year for Hunter class and Open class, they are pretty much all the same. If we are all using the same equipment, why not go ahead and put everyone in the same class. I personally would love to see someone use a harness, jacket, glove, sticks and butt hook at the same time. That would be fun (ny).

Like I said, I'm not trying to "fix" anything, I'm just pondering how I would do things if I could wave a magic wand and make field target the way that I think would maximize the fun and still be competitive for most people. This is mostly based on how I like to shoot and how most people in my area like to shoot.

So now tell me what your "ideal world" field target would look like. Then maybe we'll all have a better understanding of what people like and don't like in different parts of the country. And remember, let's keep it kumbaya. This isn't an "airing of the grievances" post, its "here's how I would do it".

PCP Rifle  NLA 30 caliber FX Bobcat named Terminator REDUCED

Up for sale is the 30 cal Bobcat named Terminator. Attached is the story of this great shooting rifle.

Terminator will come with 3 magazines, a single shot tray, probe, a tin of pellets and a lot of other goodies you will see in the photos....O'rings, dovetail to piccatinny rail mount, split nut for barrel removal and a few other items.

I took 2 detailed photos of the flaws of this rifle when I received it, 1. Somebody didn't use the split nut to take off the front end to remove the barrel, and 2. A small crack in the custom hydro dip.

Air Venturi  Got my Avenge-X yesterday in .22 and already made a custom moderator for it.

I love how well my design for the standard avenger works, so I made one for my new Avenge-X.

It is 0.39oz lighter and less than 39mm longer than the factory muzzle piece.

Super quiet too.

Going to get this bad boy scoped and hopefully take some small game this weekend while I'm deer hunting in NorCal.

New FX Pocket Chronograph v2 OUT TODAY

The revolutionary pocket radar chronograph just got upgraded!

The original FX Chronograph changed airguns by providing the most important tool a modern shooter must have, in a compact, portable unit. Now FX Airguns is pleased to introduce the even smaller and improved FX Pocket Chronograph v2.

The v2 Pocket Chronograph is more pocket sized than ever at just under the size of a 2” cube. It now has an internal battery that is recharged through a USB-C cord. Multiple mounts are also included that allows the shooter to attach the chronograph to their rifle in multiple ways.

AGN1.jpg

The chronograph itself is a wireless radar-based chronograph. It communicates via Bluetooth to either your smart phone or the FX Chronograph Display (sold separately). The app (available for both iOS and Android) does more than just show the feet per second of the projectile. It allows users to store multiple rifle profiles, shows shot strings, standard deviations, extreme spreads and much more.

The chronograph itself can be used for more than just airguns. Any projectile traveling under 1250 FPS can be accurately measured. This includes subsonic rifles, pistols, CO2 air rifles, paintball and more.

AGN2.jpg

Since the FX Pocket Chronograph v2 uses radar technology, it will work in any weather conditions, even complete darkness. Unlike other chronographs, no external light sources are needed. Simply attach the chronograph, open the FX Radar app on your phone, and start shooting!

The FX Pocket Chronograph v2 is shipping to FX dealers and is available for purchase immediately.

HW/Weihrauch  HW35 v. HW30 For Irons

For a dedicated iron sights rifle, as between the 35 and 30 for position shooting, which would you choose?

I have the hw35 and like shooting it with a scope and also with aperture sights. I just shoot bullseye targets from offhand, kneeling, sitting and prone for fun, we are not talking serious competition here. Trying to decide if it would be worth it to get a 30 for irons and stop switching between irons and scope for the 35 but I can't see and handle a 30 first, have to preorder one. Just looking at the specs shows it is smaller and lighter. Not sure if that would be a plus or a minus for position shooting. Not going hunting so carry weight is not an issue either way. Thanks for any opinions.

EDgun  EDGun Eazy Fill leaking....

Hello all!

I purchased an Edgun Easzyfill unit some 3 months ago. This is an expensive unit, but as many of you have already attested, an absolute pleasure to use. However, when it began leaking air (from the front discharge), I returned it to the dealer, who replaced it. The dealer then informed me that all his units displayed a similar leak.

Has anyone had experience with a leaky unit? I have stripped and cleaned all parts (in the ultrasonic bath), lubed and reassembled, and no luck! Still leaking.....

I'd love to hear your input on this. I've sent a WhatsApp to Ed from Edgun in Russia, but have not received a reply as yet.

Thanks,

Mike

.22 JTS pellets various weights?

Anyone try the various weights of JTS pellets in .22? Had a bunch of bullseye bucks to redeem and wanted to try the 18gr that they have and people seem to really be having great accuracy with them so ordered quite a few tins to try for my Evol. I also threw in a tin each of the 21gr and 22gr pellets to try. One says semi dome and other dome so we'll see. Was curious if anyone else tried them.
