Accessories  SOLD Marauder Gen 1 "style" trigger, for use on 7/8" tubed guns

Bought this from Airgun Revisions some time back when they were still available. Note it is designed with a slightly shorter sear height, a spacer is not required on a 7/8 tubed gun such as Prod/disco/etc.

i have used it on a Gen 1 marauder but your hammer cannot be undersized else sear engagement will be unreliable.

Sorry, but I lost the trigger guard, this is for the trigger assembly only.

Notos/Firewalker build....first blood !!

well, while i was try'n to find the perfect pellet.......this critter decided to invade one of my cardinal's feeders.
just so happens i knew the hold off for the CPHP's i was using at that time.
it was done @ 30yrds & 770fps. its not the perfect pellet, but it got justice !!

i wanted this build so i can take critters in my barns without damaging structure or equipment.
so with a jsb 18gr, i'm hope'n to be good.
thanks Dave for the excellent job you did !! 👨‍🌾

Got a little practicing done in the wind today

Got some shooting done in the wind today,
(8mph with 20mph cross breeze at times) it was purposeful....

Shot 5 cards, all 5 cards based on scores at past 3 events that have taken place would have gotten me into the finals on a day like today , but not good enough to win, but , they were all consistent in score and I didn't use a single sighter shot.

Confident in my shots, but definitely need to learn how to make use of the tools given to me.

But most important I've spent the entire day outside with peri, enjoying it. That's what is really about...

.25 JTS 33.8 gr. vs JSB King Heavy 34 gr.

I had a chance to shoot .25 Heavy at 100 yards today in very light breeze with a little drizzle coming down. I was shooting my .25 Red Wolf on Medium Power giving about 930 fps for both pellets. I had been shooting .25 King Heavy Mk1 but when I did this comparison all I had left were MK2, which are good but not as good as the Mk1 in this gun - same one I shot last year at EBR.

Here’s a cherry picked for score 5 shots at 100 yards with the Mk1 earlier in the day. Not a group. 5 shots competition style. Love those 50’s!

IMG_1463.jpeg

So then I decided on light breeze 10 shots JTS 33.8 grain and 10 shots JSB MK2 Heavy, both about 930 to 935 fps.

JTS 33.8 grain

Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to tell which one had the better performance.

5000 psi compressor?

I have a huben gk1 on its way and i see that it fills up to 5000 psi. Many of the people i see with this air pistol are using things like the omega trail charger to fill it up which to my knowledge is only stated for 4500 psi? How are people giving it a full charge? Will i be able to use my yong heng? What are my options.

Tuning  The same but not!

Today the wind was hawking all day. Shot a few of my 20s and 22 HWs. It finally laid down enough to break out my 177 HW95. I started left to right with the blue groups. Started off pretty good with JSB 8.44 Exacts. Then the groups fell apart and started vertical stringing. Frustrated with the gun I didn't even finish the the last group of five. For ships and giggles I decided to try 4.53 sized JSB 8.44 Exacts. Wow what a difference. Started to get dark and had to get ready for company so I stopped after the two five shot orange groups. Might as well go out on a high note.

I'm at a loss to explain what happened no other changes were made in between groups and they were shot a minute apart. Go figure? 🤔

Distance 25 yards
Dime sized stickers.

FX  Double Dynamic Vs FX Impact M3

Good day Airgunners,

So recently I've been plagued with possibly selling my fx impact m3. I have two FX Impact M3s. One in .22 and one in .30. I have the regular pellet liner and slug liner in each caliber. Recently I've been looking at selling one and acquiring a FX Double Dynamic. I do a lot of iguana hunting and I normally shoot slugs compared to pellets. I'm not sure if it's the overall hype that has me looking or if I feel that it's a better choice to have the dual tank dynamic. If i choose to opt for the 700cc bottle on my impact it will make it a great slug gun like it already is, but the dynamic has the 480 on the back and then if I add a 700 cc I'll have 1180cc of air. Any suggestions?

Caliber of choice or follow the crowd? .....

This is something that has been on my mind since I got into PCP Air Rifles.... All of my smaller caliber rifles are in the .25 Caliber, but seeing reviews, and reading different forums, it seems like the .25 is the Redheaded Step Child out there. Lots of folks talking about and owning the .22 and the .30 cals but not many .25's. Just curious about WTF am I missing here? Seems like IMO, the .25 is a real happy medium for this range. What are your thoughts about this? Thanx guys.

Diana  Weird Listing for Diana 75 on American Airguns Classifieds

Listing for LH Diana 75. Only issue is there’s eBay listing with several of same photos and asking $200 more than AA listing. Contacted eBay seller and he says has let eBay know, so I suspect AA listing ain’t right. Just a head’s up. I don’t know how to let AA know so posting here.

Other  Received my Tequila pistol today

As the title says, I received my Tequila Gun, gun this evening. Only put 4 pellets thru it just to verify all is working from the trip. The packaging was a little light duty.

After a general inspection, the part to part fit-up is VERY nice. As good as any other high end gun on the market. The anodizing of each detail is a little off. Some parts have a light shine and some parts have a more flat finish. Not a huge difference, but it's notable.
The gun feels very solid. Slightly nose heavy, but all Govt. .45's are !

The cocking lever is solid, if not a little snug in the locked position. It's got two detent balls holding it in its closed position, so it takes a shove to open it. The way that it's designed is nice, in that, if you squint hard, the thumb lever looks like a hammer on the firearm version. A very simple cocking mechanism. Only a light mechanical advantage lever, so it's a tug to do the full cock. But the way that it's designed, you use both your first two fingers AND your thumb, so that helps.

The pressure gauge in PSI, yes, on the end of the air cylinder. That's fine with me being in PSI, I was born and raised in the USA, ! The gauge is only a 1/3d sweep face, so accuracy isn't it's long suit. The fill port protector sleeve is a full ring or sleeve. It rotates for port access. Won't fall off.

What you can see of the trigger, it's similar to the Govt. firearm, .45, solid in the frame/receiver. Very little unwanted movement. It is a two stage pull. I have not done any adjusting at this point. As unpacked, the first stage is short, but noticeable. it comes to a definite, second stage wall, and then a fairly nice release with little creep. The pull is a bit hard, though short, and not too objectionable. Even at just four shots tonight, it's easy to get use to. I'll probably do some adjusting to see if I can lighten the pull some. It's a straight back pull, (no rotation), just like on the firearm.

For you "safety snobs", the safety is done very nicely. It is pushed into the "fire" mode, by pushing on the firearms magazine release button on the right side. It's a solid feel, probably a heavy ball/spring assembly. Not exactly quiet, but VERY positive. The push to safety is a button head fastener just opposite of the release button. It's a stainless fastener with a red sleeve under it on the left side. Very obvious what condition the gun is in.

The gun has a Picatinny rail on the barrel sleeve. It's been machined down the center for, I assume some weight removal. I attached a Holosun HE508T with no problem. There is a short two tooth, Pic. rail on the bottom of the receiver/air cylinder. On one hand, it seems sorta like a waste. BUT, for a few dollars more there is a full length picatinny rail that attaches to the short rail on the gun. Flashlights, Lasers, and yeah, even bi-tripods !
Speaking of the barrel sleeve, there is a mitigator, muffler, suppressor, silencer, and I suppose yeah, a moderator, 1/2-20 adapter bolted to the sleeve. The gun comes with a nice thread protector.

The magazine is a BEAST. Its Daystate/BRKish looking in the basic design, but does not open. The body is heavy walled stainless steel. Don't know the what version of stainless. The spring is...well...a bit of a workout. You rotate the inner disc/drum, and drop the pellets onto the oval hole in the back side of the magazine. Simple enough. But yeah, the spring can hold up a garage door. Definitely takes a little work. But...it's very smooth in its action. IThe magazine is held in the receiver by two small detent balls on the back side. There is two rubber o-rings to keep it from rattling. The magazine goes in from the left to right until the two detent balls locate it solidly.

The gun comes with iron sights. They are somewhat interesting. No need for white paint...there's no place to put...the paint ! The rear sight has a hole in each wing, and the front sight has a single hole in it. Interesting. I suppose one could insert light collecting plastic into the holes if desired. The front sight folds down. I'd guess for some basic protection. There's a small magnet in the blade to hold it in position. The rear is height and windage adjustable. OR, both are removable if you like with a simple set screw, (no "grub screw" worms here) loosening.

The grip panels are very ice. Have a lot of character to them. Don't know what the wood is, but it's fairly dark. It "appears" as though that firearm grips will fit. The basic shape of the panels are just like a Govt. .45 panels. I haven't taken them off to verify yet. There is also an interesting, one piece, hollow, hex pattern, very light, 3D printed grip available. Pretty interesting part.

While the gun will come to you with various "tune's" adjusted before shipping, yes, there is a hammer spring screw just above the beaver tail. The factory tunes can be seen here -
1694933601755.png

That's about as deep as I've been into as of now. A few things that I want to verify and play with in the next couple of days, along with some shooting.
So far, so good. No major complaints

Pictures tomorrow

Mike

P.s. - no paper instructions as of now. The max. pressure is printed on the right side of the gun. No information about trigger adjustment.
