N/A  Why Airguns ? Why is the hook so deep in many of us ?

I just wanted to ask the forum members why they are so deep into this sport/ hobby

For me I was introduced by my cousin Sal. We’d visit when I was a child and ole Sal was a redneck at heart.
He Introduced me to marlin tube fed .22lr and some powerful pellet and BB guns

So the seed was planted and heck I can shoot airguns every day in my yard

I’m 13 PCPs deep now. Progressed from the springer format to the pcp

Lately I shoot every day. Still hooked
What is your experience? How did you get hooked ?

Psychological analysis is encouraged here……

Memories are important so keep that old air gun!

Every time I see a thread picturing an air gun someone still owns after 40 or 50 years I regret all over again tossing my 1974 Sheridan in the trash in the late '80's because I acquired something bigger and better.

There probably aren't many kids reading these forums but 99% of adults here have kids or grandkids. If you have young ones in the family who shoot, don't let them throw their early (especially first) air guns away because they graduate to an "adult" air gun. Keep them for them if you have to.

Past memories will eventually outnumber future dreams 100:1 and they will appreciate being able to hold and look at those old guns, even if they're broken, and relive those memories in their minds.

I wish I still had every one of mine.

Other  Interesting unanimous choice

Yesterday, I hosted three traditional powder burner shooters to shoot springers and pcps via my indoor and outdoor ranges.

We started with them shooting the target you can see below - all on the indoor 18 yard range. Each shooter shot 10 shot groups with each rifle.

When done, they had the opportunity to pick their favorite rifle of the nine to shoot a “wall hanger” target. One of the shooter’s targets is also show below.

They all picked the Weihrauch 100T I had tuned to shoot the H&N Baracuda Match 21.14 Gr pellet. Quite a tribute.

BTW - three shooters who had never shot airguns before shot .014, 015, and .019 10 shot groups at 18 yards.

A lot of fun to witness.

Is it worth buying a hw97k if i already have a hw77k?

I have a .177 hw77k and want 1 more air rifle and that will be it. I don't see the point in getting another .177 as my hw77k is accurate so I want a. 22 or. 20.
I wanted a TX200 HC or a pro sport but now I'm thinking to get a .20 weihrauch hw97k but I've read that hw97k & hw77k are basically the same gun so it worth it? Or should I just get a air arms.

The .20 calibre is the only thing that made me want a hw97k but if it's the same as or too similar to the hw77k then it will be a waste of money. Uk power limit is sub 12ft/lb.

Benjamin  What would you do, why?

I have been interested in getting a .35, and have been considering a Benjamin Bulldog. I currently see a good deal on an older tricked out Pitbull in. 357. I also have had my eyes on the M357.
I have also been thinking about going the Aea Challenger Pro route too.

Airgun Technologies  First PCP, AGT Vulcan3 or BRK Ghost?

I'm in the market for my first PCP. I will probably go either 22 cal or 25 cal. I'll be using it for target shooting and pest control/small game hunting. After watching many videos and reading the forums, I leaning towards the Vulcan3 and The Ghost. I prefer the looks and ease of adjustability of ghost, but the Vulcan seems a little more durable. Any insight would be appreciated.

Cheap cocking lever mod

Might not be for everyone, but this is one of my favorite easy modifications to my airgun cocking levers. Slid on an automobile rubber vacuum cap to cocking lever, gives me something more to grab onto and a better feeling grip when cocking.

Also added o rings to other cocking levers for a more tactile feel and grip. Wasn’t a problem without, just has a better feel with them.

SOLD Ember Moderator 50% Off

$50.00 To Your Door

It is marked down because I am trying to clean out some of these moderators so that I can work on the next generation. It will easily handle ANY 177 caliber rifle out there. I've shot it on a 60 fpe Condor (with no pellet).

This little moderator is 97mm long, 35mm in diameter and weighs a whopping 1.25 ounces ;) ! This is a 17 caliber moderator but you could run it on a 20 caliber if you were mounting it directly on the barrel. This moderator has a steel insert and is 1/2 UNF.

Accuracy great-until the pistol’s psi gauge dropped to 70bar. Normal?

I shoot Bullseye with a Pardini SP-22 Olympic pistol, decided to try a Pardini K-12 for Air Pistol Bullseye 10-Meter practice in my garage.
After a few hundred pellets downrange, the air cylinder dropped from 200bar to 70bar. Pellet impact went from X-ring to below the black, several inches drop. The group went from the size of a dime to looking like a shotgun pattern.
I assume that the pistol meters a specific amount of air for each shot, and at a certain pressure, it is unable to maintain the set pressure, resulting in erratic accuracy.
The Pardini operating manual, in addition to being written in 4 or 5 languages, has minimal useful info. I will ask PardiniUSA what the pressure is regulated for, but wondered if others have the same loss of accuracy as the cylinder’s pressure drops below a certain point?
Thanks for your responses!

Huben  .25 Slugs for GK1?

Anyone find any .25 slugs that work with the GK1? I have tried NSA and ZAN thus far and neither will work. They fit too loose in the magazine and are causing it to jam and not cycle correctly. Just wondering if anyone has found a good slug that seats well in the magazine and still shoots decent?

If so, please post the Brand and Weight of the slugs you've found that work. Also, what velocity have you found gives the best accuracy?

Thanks...

Donny FL Moderators - Which ones are the quietest?

Im interested in a Donny FL moderator.
Im only interested in a Donny FL at the moment.
Looking to quiet down a .30 caliber pcp.
I realize that bigger, and longer moderators, dosent always mean quieter!
Which Donny FL moderator is the quietest in your opinion?
Did any particular one of his products surprise you with both a small form factor and above average noise suppresion?
Thanks in advance.
