Today was cleanup time on the range after winter. Here’s what I started with. Just a mess. Broken pole. Went and got the tools on this gorgeous day and started taking things down and raking. The Kabota saves the day. Still shovelled almost 4 tons of stone and dirt. I’ll sleep tonite. It’s hard work but so satisfying. Went at it for over 9 hours. Dragged out the ground targets and set them up. Some fresh paint. Still a few more to install. I started to clean up the 47 yard area. Just a write off. Only had an hour in here, besides the Black flies were driving me crazy. I donated blood. I need to spend a few more hours here.
While I’m working on my range, check the delivery I got. 3-10” gongs on stands. And a double spinner in box.Can't wait to start blasting these. Hope to finish tomorrow. I’m always open for ideas. Crow

Hey folks, I’ve been dabbling in the precharged pneumatic and springer world for awhile, and would like to get the wife and kids into it a bit more, but I’m running into the issue of airgun weight. I’m a big guy at 6’4” so to me the marauder weight is no big deal, but my wife is much-much smaller (fortunately lol).

My first generation marauder is too heavy for everyone else to use comfortably, the pull is also too long for the kids to shoot off the bench. I also have a Diana Air King circa 2012 or so, and it’s a heavy beast as well….plus the cocking a springer takes the fun out of it for them.

I see the Brocock Concept Lite looks like a nice light option, although the shot count is a bit lower than I’d hope for.

The ideal specs for what I’m looking for would basically be all the features of the Brocock Lite-adjustable stock (for wife or kids), light weight, plus a 60ish shot count maybe I just need accept the specs and pony up and finally get an air tank. I have a compressor but have been dragging my feet on buying a bottle…

Any other suggestions on equivalent or lighter options? I’m not opposed to going to the $1500 range, but would like to not go too much north of that price-point. If possible.

If I’m not careful every single one of my 4 kids are gonna want their own, and that’ll get expensive.

I have a webley tempest up for sale currently, and if it doesn't sell or I can't trade it for something I'd rather have by like mid June I'm just gonna permanently keep it.

If I permanently keep it I'd like to have it rebuilt and tuned to gain some extra power and know she'll be solid for another few decades of service.

It shoots fine as is but I wouldn't mind the power increase and knowing it's fresh.

How many lap their rings? I have a wheeler engineering 30mm scope lapping and alignment kit and haven’t used it since my C.F. Days. I have bought some of the inexpensive Chinese rings vortex, Arken and found they don’t align to well! Not bad, but enough to have to mount one ring in first orientation second in the other to get the scope to center with out putting stress on scope tube.

Now comes the lapping part, I lapped both set of rings and it did help “marginally”, now I remember that it said you only have to do the bottom ring? In my case I did bottom with top loosely in place. Also these are Aluminum and it goes pretty fast compared to steel.

The farmer has called me 3 days ago about coyote activity at his new burial pit that he constructed at the back of the property. So I showed up to look at the new pit and setup my trail cam on the concrete barrier.

I returned this late afternoon and found out my trail cam had failed to record with zero footage on the memory card. Of course the dead cow was dug up and eaten over the past three nights. I had no clue why the unit has failed but after spending some time resetting it, I was able to get it to record again. Hopefully it will capture something tonight.

I brought my blind and set it up 60 yards away. I then proceeded to do some test shots inside the blind using my tripod that I used in the past where I mounted the Impact on top. I used a low folding chair so that I could stay as long to the ground as possible. I told a few shots at the three potatoes that I placed on the mount. I hit and I missed. I thought maybe it was the strong head wind coming my way. But I continued to miss the potato which my Impact should not have missed that many shots. I have zeroed it two days ago and everything was working just fine.

I took out my shooting box with some bulleyes on the paper and proceeded to check my zero. To my horror, the POI was all over the paper. I couldn't even hold a decent 5 shots group. Some shots were low, left, right and high. I was puzzled and in disbelief. Maybe the head wind was pushing my slugs hard or the warmer temperature had increased the slugs velocity again.

Back in February, the H&N 25gr gen 2 slugs were averaging 966fps and 5 days ago, it was up to 984 fps which I had re-zero and created a new range tape to compensate for the increased velocity.

But today, something was not working and causing erratic groupings. So I decided to not doing the coyote hunt this evening and came home to check my Impact and cleaned the barrel. The barrel was dirty and I hope that was the case. I will need to return to the farm tomorrow to re-check my zero and chrony to see what is the current speed. Then hopefully I can make some minor adjustment to the valve to tighten the group. Maybe it was the new tin of slugs? No idea at the moment.

Fingers crossed that the trail cam will function and record something tonight. And me sorting out my Impact to shoot well again. Ya, bad timing...

In addition, the farmer had told me his neighbour has seen a large cougar in their farm area. Maybe this cougar also found this pit?

I’ve had many Hatsan’s over the past decade plus. Like to tinker and tune them. They are a good gun with with loads of potential. German steel and Turkish Walnut. British engineering. Made in Turkey. I have however, had every Vortex gas ram fail less one. I have been in contact with Hatsan waiting for them to get in spring conversion kits for the the 95 & 135. Finally they did. I just finished converting the last of four from rams to springs. Lined the piston with thick blister pack (soda bottle) plastic and polished the internals. No difference in the cocking or firing cycle. No twang or vibration. Really solid. And no more dealing with tired o-rings. No PCP’s anymore either. Just springers and pumpers. O-rings in pumpers last for decades because they are not under any stress when at rest. No 3000 lbs of pressure. Simple is the way to go for me. These four are the ones converted. If you have been considering the same, now is the time. At least acquire the conversion kit while they have them. $39.95. Spring, spring guide, washers and receiver end cap.

So looks like the Mini-Carbine is sold and the member choose the Truckbed lined black grip.

That leaves the Shorty as the only gun I have left.

I’m a huge Leshiy fanboy. I own several Edguns and can say they are one of the best made for me at least. Compact, built like a tank, easy to tune especially the L2 and they make excellent critter busters. They may not shoot like an FX but that’s not what they’re designed for. Anyway. The 9mm has been winking at me ever since intro but I have no practical reason to own one but it’s such a bad a$$ rifle. Is it overkill for pests? No such thing dead is dead. Talk me into it I’ve owned everything out there so consider that before making other non Edgun suggestions.

After a long time, the wait is finally over. The karma Red Pandas are finally here! Currently we only have the .30 cal bench rest models available.

We have been tuning them the last few days and are very impressed with the rifle. Easy to tune, super consistent, and a killer match grade trigger! These things are built like a tank and push some serious power!

Quick question-
I am wanting a good semiauto for hunting birds to small game. I have narrowed it down to these 2 listed above. I want a removable mag which kicked Huben out.
The Leshiy 2 will have the bottle on it and want the 350mm barrel. Caliber haven't decided yet but nothing above 30. My biggiest concern with the sidewinder is I am left handed and I don't think it will work. I know people say well I make it work by tweaking my scope and bringing it further back. I am not spending 2,000 plus on any gun where I have to change my cheek weld or mess with my natural hold. So maybe this should be talk me out of a Leshiy 2 lol.
What do you think?

A couple days back I received a package of various springer replacement parts from Chambers, a UK company I've used for many years for such needs. Imagine my astonishment, when the package contained two random used books and nothing else!

The package label listed the correct airgun parts, but they were nowhere to be had. On the underside of the package was a sticker by Royal Mail, cleaved in half already at delivery, that stated something to the effect of: " …found open or damaged and…officially secured", signed off with a twirl. This had to be a scam by someone at the Royal Mail, no?

I contacted Chambers. They replied that this is the second time someone has been sent book(s) after buying airgun-related items from Chambers. Someone at Royal Mail is stealing airgun parts and switching the contents to used books! The parts I ordered totaled about 90 GBP (+ VAT and fees). The used books I received are worth maybe 10 GBP on a good day. There's the profit for the thieving scum.

I had already speculated that the thief would target deliveries to outside the UK, for a lower chance of someone taking action against Royal Mail and the thief within. This was corroborated when I learned the other victim was also not in the UK.

Chambers quickly assembled a replacement package with all the parts there. They have been exemplary through this mess. Let's just hope the same guy who stole my earlier parts is not on duty at Royal Mail Overseas Department when the time comes.

Chambers will have my case as evidence for demands towards Royal Mail.

Man, I hate thieves!

Many here consider me an FX " Hater" because of negative comments i put forward from time to time.

Well.... i am definitely NOT a "hater" , but i will continue to criticise any aspect i feel could be improved.

Anyway ....... Since implementing my barrel mods some time ago , the enjoyment factor has increased greatly . I have been shooting daily for a while and have been very happy with the results.
I have left the M3 stored for the past week. This morning i pulled it out and set up to shoot some 5 shot groups at 100yds. My routine before firing groups is to shoot 10 shots to settle ...then proceed to shoot the groups.
Shot 3 consecutive 5 shot groups at the 3 plates..... VERY happy with the results..... POI spot on as it was when i put it away and group size is excellent..
Slugs are my favourite NSA 27.5gr .218" @ 1060fps

So ..yeah i definitely " Hate " FX..

I had credit 100 dollars from Wolfiek group , So I said well just send me 5 tins of 177 ,10.35 pellets 2,500 pellets. The pellets look just like JSB Hades which shoot great in my 177 guns , Vulcan, Uragan, Prophet, Well the Edgun pellets shoot like a shotgun in all my guns?????? I am talking a 5 inch group at 48 yards, I have open three tins and its all the same.
They look just like the Hades, The writing on the tins is German I think, If I was guessing H&N made the pellets because my guns do not like H&N pellets , I just thought it was so strange. And a FYI.
