New here and have heard a lot of good about this community.

I recently broke down after tremendous pressure from my brother (approx. 5 minutes) and joined the club. I got a 30cal FX Impact 3. I know this may have been jumping in the deep end but I have never been a fan of kiddy pools! Starting to piece everything together and optics are next on my immediate purchase list. Looking for any input you guys may have, tune advice, best slug/pellet, accessories, cool stories, favorite color! Plus I need to knock out 10 posts so I can see about getting one of those sweet brass knurled fat boy charging handles. Obligatory pic below.

This is a great shooting gun. Loves jsb 34gr pellets, 26.8gr NSA slugs and 33gr varmint knockers. Those are the only slugs I’ve tried so far. Currently tuned for shooting the jsb 34gr pellets at 885-890 fps, laser accurate at 100 yards. Has been upgraded to a Huma reg, no creep issues. Only looking to trade for an impact M3 in .22 or .25 cal, may consist a mk2, or possibly a panthera/dynamic. Comes with 1 factory mag and 2 carm mags. Scope, rings and moderator not included but can be discussed depending on the trade.

Shoebox compressor that has been properly maintained. I re-built it last summer and have used it to top off my buddy tank. It has about 20 hours since the re-build and I just used it last week. It is set up for 4500 psi and shuts off at that point. $325.00 which includes insured shipping to CONUS, only (it’s very heavy). PayPal friends and family is preferred but I’ll also accept a money order or a check with a hold for clearance.

I have a .22cal 800mm barrel kit and tension setup. It comes with barrel housing, transfer port, , heavy superior liner 1:14 twist, CF liner sleeve, and official FX carbon fiber tension kit that has the barrel holding clamp and jam nut with 1/2" x 20 UNF threaded end.

This is like new condition and has no marks/dings even on the outside of the barrel housing. This is perfect if you want to get max power in .22cal with slugs. Can reach out to ~100fpe if paired with a Powerblock M3 w Tungsten hammer. This setup was used without a tungsten hammer tuned for 34grn slugs at 980fps (72fpe) for extremely good accuracy and still a decent shot count, but there are no signs of hard use and the barrel will be cleaned before shipping so it will be very close to a new setup.

I would like to sell it only now, I have been away/busy from the forums and financial and time constraints bring me to choose to sell this instead.

This setup would normally cost $399 new and are almost always out of stock/pre-orders needed.

Thanks in advance ! I’d like to move this but times have changed and I don’t if I’m priced well

I have a .22 CZ rifle, heavy barrel with a Surefire suppressor (Tax stamp of course). I use Eley subsonic hollow point ammo which I find is very accurate, consistent and quiet to a point. I am using this rifle for squirrel control up to 150’, and while I’m not in a city, I have a bleeding heart neighbor who has threatened to call game and wildlife. This would constitute hunting out of season most of the year.

The semi-quiet report of my CZ still causes my neighbors dogs to go nuts and start barking, thusly alerting the neighbor. I’ve tried multiple subsonic ammo brands, and this one is the best. I have no experience with a PCP, so my basic question is can I find the right PCP setup that is quiet to the point my neighbors dogs wont go nuts? If I have the most quiet setup already, my search into PCP’s would be basically pointless.

Received this HW30 yesterday. From the serial nr this rifle was produced in 2005. I am told that inside everything is done (piston/breach seals, spring, spring guide and plug). The barrel is shortened (new barrel crown, and a permanently installed silencer for improved balance).
I haven’t tested accuracy, but it cycles beautifully and the locking is tight with a distinct and crisp trigger.
And the stock- OH MY!
The man who improved this rifle is Waldemar “Hogan” Brom from Poland, a well-known person in the FT/HFT shooting community. At least he was, until health problems kicked in due to a Polish forum.

Going through many threads on pellet cost, and doing the homework myself, I thought; "Why not just create a simple Excel spreadsheet to do the comparisons?"
So, that spreadsheet is attached and ready for your use. The only areas that you should NOT enter any information are the cells in deep red.
You can change the tax rate at the top of the sheet to match your local tax rate and it will automatically calculate your tax. If there is no tax, then you will use the dark blue cells for the calculation. (equals 0).
You simply input the information: FX / Caliber / Grains / Head-Size / Tin Quantity / Tins Needed / Freebies / Per Tin Cost / Shipping (if any).
With that information it will kick out a per pellet cost at the far right.
It also has direct links to the vendors that I normally deal with, just click on them and they go directly to the site.
I have examples throughout to make it easier to understand how it works.

Just recieved my new stock from PA think it looks pretty good, only dislike is it made the gun at least 2-2.5# heavier..
had to cut original barrel band down because it shot like crap with it over the barrel and the aftermarket one wasnt wide enough to stay on the air tube... original band is not cut in pic, when I went to shoot it like ta it was way off like it was before I took off and put aftermarket on...cutting it down made it to where stock is able to be attached to air tube up front. Otherwise barrel had a bunch of up/down play w/o one.

I ran into an older gentleman who said an Asian guy with a .30 cal FX hunts there for rabbits and squirrels. See I’m also Asian; we could be 2 Asian guys hunting for rabbits and squirrels with an FX lol

Also was wondering if you wanted to buddy up for spring turkey with an air rifle?

If there is anyone else with an upland validation, we can go. Doesn’t have to be limited to the Asian guy with a .30 cal FX lol

Btw, just nailed this quail today. I told this elderly feller how I was trying to hunt quail with an air rifle, but it was damn near impossible since they hide. Then he mentioned what I said earlier. He also uses an Avenger himself.

I have a airforce condor .25 it never has been what I would call accurate around a 4 inch group 50 yds. (My Rws springer puts out better groups) anyway the accuracy has been getting worse I bought the ring lock kit with different size holes I’ve tried all of them… I’ve checked all screws o rings took out the moderator nothing seems to help. I’ve cleaned the barrel multiple times thinking something is stuck in it?? It’s lucky to shoot a six inch group at 30 yds now Does anyone work on or tune these guns

Got this .25 barrel that I want to dress and clean up. Looking at 11 degree muzzle setting. Is there a better angle for a .25 muzzle? Looking for input on machining the clean up angles on the tranfer port and breech end.

Last I heard on these folks was the scorpion. Now I've seen the R12, CLX, CLX pro, SLX and so on. CLX being bolt action, SLX is side lever. All after the R10 went to a monoblock apparently. Saw a youtube video showing an issue with the stock being bored out too much to cause weakness where the gauge meets the block. Another was magazine issues causing pellet clipping when cycling pellet into breech. Has this been worked out BSA fans? I understand the sidelever fans but are the new bolt action really that much more than the venerable R10? Thanks

I have a Compact Veteran .25 with a plenum on it, so the airtube extends past the barrel shroud.

That limits what kind of moderator I can put on it, as it has to be the same diameter as the shroud, like this Hugget Belita

A couple of years ago, I had a friend who owns a CAD company, design and manufacture for me a few aluminum extensions, so I could use different diameter moderators instead of the Huggett (same diameter as the barrel shroud)

I am not all that impressed with the STO unit. I think it’s too short, and regardless of what type of unit I put on here, I always get some sort of point of impact shift.

My question is to you moderator wizards, would it be possible to fabricate an all in one piece extension and moderator? I have read that some of your designs incorporate the tesla valve, I am wondering if a system like that might help my point of impact.

And fyi, I have tried multiple threaded shroud ends, not knowing, if possibly, there is a barrel alignment issue with the shroud ends. Regardless, if I use that aluminum extension or not, all the testing that I have done so far, gives me some sort of point of impact shift.

I started at 425.00 now asking 360.00 shipped to lower 48. I also added a picture of 5 shots that I just took at 76' and I don't claim to be a good springer shooter.

I have a Beeman R9 in .177 caliber. This gun started its life as a .22 but had the barrell swapped to .177 and a Macarri kit added. It is shooting CPHP at 902 FPS and is very very accurate to 76'. That's as far as I can shoot it in my backyard. The gun looks amazing and shoots even better. You won't be disappointed in how it shoots or how it looks. I've sold many, probably too many, guns on this sight with flawless execution. Be sure and check me out. The open sights aren't on the gun but I have them. Price doesn't include scope. This is the third and final post of my .25 FX King set-up and tune project.

Outfitted with an Athlon 6-24 Chronos FFP scope and shooting Altaros 50 grain slugs today in a balmy 35 degrees, while working with Strelok Pro to determine dope chart statistics and while simultaneously working on final scope windage settings, at 84.1 yards, the “large” group on the left was for drop and windage work with two to three clicks variance within the group.

The group on the right was my final three shots - measuring .10” c-t-c. I put the calculations into Strelok and never missed a shot using the MRAD clicks, shooting 30mm spinners at about 5 yards intervals, all of the way in to 35 yards.

BTW - with an 18 yard near zero, the total drop at 84.1 yards was only 4.5”.

In 2006 or 7 I started my journey into PCPs, beginning with a .357 and a .457 then I got my first small bore a Rainstorm I .22

after that I went through a ton of different platforms, the ones I didn't like I dismissed and kept looking,....... for awhile I was really into the EunJin and Shin Sung lever actions but the Rainstorm platform was always there.

When Evanix started coming out with .25 .30 .357 .45 and .50 I quickly transitioned to exclusively Evanix guns,

I can't even tell how many I had, most likely north of 25

predominantly was the Rainstorm/Blizzard platform but also some AR6 some REX some MAX-ML and even semi and full auto models.

I only have great things to say about all my Evanix guns that had a lot of use throughout several years of duty, Awhile back I decided to get out of Airgunning but it was still hard to commit to get rid of those great guns that served me so well,

Fast forward to Huben coming out with the pistol and my mind was finally made for me, in keeping with my usual trend to only have one platform I so finally made the push to sell my Evanix stable and move to Huben

Last week I had a buyer come through for my last Rainstom, so this baby will go to the midwest and the Evanix page will be closed.....but the fantastic memories that those guns gave me will never go away.
