PCP Rifle  SOLD Benjamin P-rod

Custom tuned by Airgun Revisions (at my request) for LOW POWER to shoot CPHPs at 585. They installed a smaller transfer port and adjusted the hammer for a flat shooting curve from 2550 to 1650, to build one sweet little barn gun and it’s seen its share of use but still in 9.5/10 condition. It gets 3 mags in this range and is very accurate at 40 yards and in. My zero was at 25Y with a target provided to show how it shoots With several different pellets.

Holds air forever. Comes with 3 mags, picatinny rail and everything pictured.

Asking $350 shipped. Not looking for any trades. I’ve sold lost of guns and stuff here all with 100% positive feedback. PayPal or postal MO accepted.

*** There is one mark on the rear of the hammer housing. I had an AR stock mounted for a while and the adapter left a mark on it but it doesn’t affect anything. I covered the mark with a Sharpie but I wanted to disclose this to any potential buyer.

I guess I'm old-fashioned because I enjoy breaking in new springers by running a tin or two of pellets through them, but I'm curious where Airgun Nation stands on this topic.

My new airgun. Can you identify it by name?

Can anybody identify my pcp which is capable of splitting playing cards at 200 yards and capable of 0.5 MOA @ 1000 yards? ( I personally split playing cards at 200 yards and someone else shoot .05 MOA @ 1000 yards.)

The only tip I will give is that it shoots .25 cal 60 grain slugs with a BC of .245.

Good luck in guessing.

Pellets vs 1st Gen vs 2nd gen slugs

I was recently quoted in an oldd conversation about slugs and thought it better to start a new topic rather than continue over there.

The newest flavor of slugs, the kind that look like rimfire bullets, ala Altaros and the type Mike Nische has been recently sharing results from, are not the same thing as the 1st gen slugs we've been fighting with for 8 or so years.

From a performance standpoint, there are now three classes of airgun projectiles.

-Pellets
-1st Gen slugs (flat base/ generally cone shaped)
-2nd Gen slugs (similar shape to .22 rimfire, round-nosed often with boat-tails and/or truncated bases)

Out to 100 yards, it is extremely rare to find a 1st gen slug that will outshoot a good high BC pellet.

The 2nd Gen slugs are essentially air powered rimfires, with comparable (and sometimes better) performance. Their BCs and retained energies are downright scary when compared to what we think of coming from an airgun (outside of traditional big bore airguns).

Lumping 1st Gen and 2nd gen slugs together as the same thing is akin to letting Lia Thomas swim with woman and then being surprised that he's kicking their asses. Ie they're simply not in the same class b/c they're so vastly different.

This is a sesame street game of which one of these is not like the others. And the air powered rimfires are simply a completely different animal than what we've been calling slugs for most of a decade now.

Those bad boys are BULLETS.

Pic riser help

So in ordering a Zulus my plan was to use on my Evol Mini. However I realize my rear mount area on my Evol only has 4 slots and the Zulus mount is 5 slots. So basically I'm looking for something that would be 3 slots mounting but have a 5 slot rail on top. As lo pro as possible. My quick searches found nothing I think would work. Any help would be appreciated.

PCP Rifle  NLA RAW .25 caliber Nice Gun

Looking to sell my .25 caliber Raw
I don’t need two .25 cal. Allen Z built the fully shrouded moderator and barrel (very quiet)
He also built a barrel which he takes a FX barrel liner and sets in a tube with some type of resin. (Very accurate)
I’am asking $1900 firm I will not take less it’s to good of a gun.
Gun comes with monopod and picatinny Bar
Gun does not include scope or tripod.
I want to purchase a compressor.
The groups are 12 shots taken at 105 yards that’s 24 shots in a row. As you can see from the photo after the first 12 shots the gun really comes into its sweet spot and makes a ragged hole
I will ship to the lower 48.

Diana  Shout out to David Slade/ Airgunwerks

I sent one of my Diana 75s to David to be resealed and have some work done on the trigger. Gun was done within the time promised, price was as quoted, and best of all it shoots great. Thanks Mr Slade. Interesting sidenote on the 2 75s I have. One literally shoots all pellets very well. The other is picky, found 2 that shoot in the same hole at 25yards, the others, not so much. Its great to have a technician who understands these rifles available.

Crosman HP's vs Domed

I am now able to shoot the Crosmans HP'swith decent accuracy, for those that have shot the Domed version in 14.3 do you see an accuracy improvement? Anything I buy I pretty much have to order. There is No selection of pellets in My area. Are they worth ordering a Tin? Or not much difference to warrant it?

Thanks in advance!
Grant

Rats got smart

Hello,

I have permission at a dog kennel. The first time I went ratting there, the rats weren't afraid of me; I was just 10-15 meters away, it didn't seem to bother them at all. I placed a red torch directed to where the bait (dog food). In just minutes, a few went for the bait, I managed to shoot 2 of them. The 3rd time I went there with the same red torch and bait, none of them came for the bait. I went there a couple of times after that, and I waited for hours, but the rats didn't come out, and the bait was untouched. However, in the morning, the bait was all gone.

What's happening? what can I do?

Another Hunting Story

Hunting Bonds

The year was 1973, me being 12.
In the rugged desert of Southern Idaho, where sagebrush stretched across the rolling hills and basalt with my best childhood friend and I embarked on countless hunting adventures. Our bond was forged in the fresh county air, our footsteps through the brush and grasses as we pursued elusive game.

His name was Chris, a lanky kid with a perpetual grin. We were inseparable—two young souls drawn to the wild like magnets. Our fathers, seasoned hunters themselves, had passed down their love for the outdoors, and we eagerly embraced it.

The 1970s were a simpler time. No smartphones, no distractions—just the raw beauty of nature and the thrill of the hunt. My father and grandfather, as well as Chris's dad, Old Man Waters, taught us the ways of the woods. They would share tales of tracking deer, calling in elk, hunting small game, fishing, and the art of patience, and we hung on every word.

Our air rifles were basic for the time for each of us owning a Benjamin .22 Chris's had a his initials carved in his wooden stock, and mine had a scratch near the trigger guard. But those rifles were our magic wands, granting us entry into a world where time slowed.

We’d rise before dawn, our breath still visible in the frosty air. The scent sagebrush mingled with anticipation as we trudged along, our boots crunching on in the grass and brambles. Chris's snort-wheeze, a skill he’d perfected, broke the solitude of the walk. It was our secret language, a call that said, “I’m here, and so are you.”

On this crisp morning, we spotted our quarry, a creature with speed as his friend. Its ears reached for the sky, and its eyes held wisdom. Chris nudged me, eyes wide, and whispered, “Your turn, buddy.”

I steadied my rifle, feeling the weight of generations behind me. My elders' lessons echoed: “Breathe. Steady your aim. And shoot straight.” The jack rabbit stood behind a bush, its chestnut gray coat blending with the foliage. My heart raced as I squeezed the trigger.

The shot rang out, and the jack rabbit leaped, disappearing into the sagebrush. Chris grinned, his eyes dancing. “You got him, I know it!”

We followed the trail, blood drops like breadcrumbs. The sun climbed higher, casting dappled shadows on the ground. And there in a clearing in the sagebrush lay our prize—a testament to our shared heritage, our friendship, and the magic of the hunt. We bagged several of the wiley Jack's that day. Times that will be with me for life.

Years have passed, and Chris and I still talk about those days. our fathers and grandparents are gone now, but their spirit lives on in the whisper of the wind and the rustle of leaves. And when I see my own sons shouldering their rifles, I think of Chris and those Jack's and the bond that transcends time.

Sheridan  My Sheridan Model A #1077

Hello all!

I want to start off by saying that I am not a regular here, but I just wanted to take some time to share my Sheridan Model A (and other accessories) with everyone! While I don't have a huge interest in air guns, I've done enough research on it to know that it's a special piece and therefore do not shoot it much. The few times that I have shot it have been a real pleasure and everything works great. The dust around the bolt and rear sight is from the lining on the old soft case its been kept in for years but would be an easy clean if I were not scared of messing with this beautiful piece.

There is a good chance I will be looking to part ways with it soon, so if anyone has advice on how to go about doing that, it would be much appreciated.

N/A  Rifle set up to shoot 2 different pellets/slugs

I'm curious if anyone has tried having an air rifle set up to shoot 2 (or more) different pellets on the same tune (e.g. JSB 18.13gr @885fps + hades 15.89 @ 930? fps) Or maybe if your rifle has a high/low adjustable transfer port, have high set up for slugs and low for pellets. Any insight or experience appreciated
