N/A  Digital gauges on your reg

I took the plunge a few weeks ago and bought some sekhmet gauges. They landed the other day, so I've fitted one to my DRS and two to my Dynamic. I have noticed that my Dynamic reg refills to (UK 12 ft/lbs) 72 BAR immediately, but left overnight creeps to 76 BAR. I wouldn't have noticed on a 'normal' gauge..............is this expected or out of tolerance?. Should I strip, clean, polish and moly the bellville washers or just leave it alone?

Pellet Problems

Hello group! My name is Bob and I have a pellet problem.

I guess it all started innocently enough. I loved shooting and had been an avid shooter for more than 50 years. I had wanted a Diana break barrel air rifle since first seeing one in action as a lad. I was looking for a rifle I could practice offhand shooting skills that didn’t break the bank. The decision to purchase an air rifle seemed to be a good choice. Little did I know the shocking depths that this decision would take me.

At first it was a few 5 shot groups on paper in my back yard from a rest. Sighting in, learning a proper hold, dealing with slipping scopes and stripping mounting screws. When I got it all together my shot count increased and I was hitting the target. Life was good and I began to really enjoy it.

Soon I was spending more time shooting. My routine was getting much better and I was shooting well. My patterns were much better and I enlisted a friend in my activities. Beer was often involved. It was fun.

We got better targets. Green army men. Plastic dinosaurs. Aluminum cylinders that rang like bells. We shot a lot better now. Our range was increasing. So was our shot count. It was so enjoyable we did it more often.

Sometimes after a long shoot I would feel really good. Relaxed. Almost elated. This was big fun.

One day I looked down and realized I had shot a full tin of H&N pellets. At first I thought my buddy had been snaking them. Then I looked at the time. We had been there for four hours straight. I didn’t realize it then but looking back I should have known this was a warning.

Soon we were shooting every day. For longer periods. Sometimes we would get up early and shoot all day. My lady friend hadn’t seen me in weeks. I hadn’t been fishing with my son in months.

I was having trouble paying the pellet bills. I had to switch to Crosmans to support my habit. Pyramid Air was slow shipping and I often had to wait. I was buying pellets on the Amazon from shady vendors that couldn’t be trusted.

One night while walking across WalMart parking lot with a sack full of CPHP’s and my fingers black with graphene I realized I had a problem. I was a mess. A lead head.

I was doing 2000 pellets a week and it just wasn’t enough. The more I shot the more I wanted to shoot. It was consuming my life. I had a flock of Hawke scopes constantly flying across the country being repaired. I had a bucket of broken scope mounts under my kitchen table that was piled with broken Hatsans. There was a tiny space I had cleared off to eat at the foot of a mountain of broken springs and torn seals.

I was hitting shotgun shells in my sleep. My eyes were crossed from focusing on the front post. My sex life had vanished. I wasn’t eating right. Personal hygiene was a problem. My dog was lonesome and howled all night.

I’m here because I want to tell you there is light at the end of this tunnel. I’m still using pellets but I have learned that with time you can turn it around. Its not easy. But with help you can make it. Someday I hope to be pellet free. For now I want to celebrate the progress I have made.

I’m down to about 1000 pellets a week and by Christmas my goal is to be using no more than 500. My time management is better and I adhere to strict eating and showering schedules. I’m trying to patch up my relationship with my lady and I walk the dog regularly. I still shoot a lot but I’m trying to put it in perspective. I feel that I have finally turned a corner and I’m on my way to recovery.

If I can't do it on my own there is always slug therapy. Sure there are risks but shooting slugs have proven to reduce pellet cravings in several clinical studies. Its new technology and the long term risks are unknown but I know that it's there if I decide I need it.

I hope this might be an inspiration to others out there with a pellet problem. Just know that you are not alone. Don't be afraid to ask for help. It's a disease from which you can recover if you simply take that first step and admit you have a problem.

Air Tanks  SOLD Airtanks For Sale "Great White " Tank ****REDUCED****

For sale is my Great White air tank. I am the original owner , purchased from Joe B in May of 2011 , for just under $900 delivered. For the first 5 years , I had it filled by a local firearm / paintball store from his 4 stage compressor that produced scuba quality breathing air. When the owner died , his family sold off everything as quickly as they could and I was "up the creek without a paddle". After much research and commiserating , I bought an Airetex 45 from Bruce Dodson in 2016. The reason for this history lesson is to show that this tank has only been filled with clean , breathable , dry air. Fast forward to present times , I am using surplus older tanks that have seen very little use. In fact , I will have another for sale within the next several weeks. This tank has never been re certified ( stretched by a hydro test). It is as new , other than the date and never been taken out of my shop / garage other than when it was filled during the first 5 years. The pictures will show that it is in perfect condition all over. It has the TJ-3 slow flow valve and does not have the second gauge. Included is a generous fill hose. Selling for $400 now $380 ( around 42.5% of the cost new) plus shipping and insurance to the conus. PS, due to it's age , no commercial business will fill it without a hydro test , and to comply with DOT regulations , it will be shipped empty...................unless you want to pick it up in Hickory , NC...........then it will be packed full. Not interested in trades or offers at this time. Please deal by pm. Thanks for looking...............................Herb.......................................................PS , FYI the package will be 26 x 8 x 8 and ~15 lbs +/-. I use Pirate Ship and do not pad shipping.

PCP Rifle  NLA WTT .22 Daystate Redwolf HP

Hi All,

Posted this for sale last night and the wife has decided she has a few more on her wish list (I created a monster). So before I go out in search of these wanted to see if anyone might be interested in a trade.

Mine is a .22 Daystate Redwolf HP with a beautiful walnut stock, newest electronics, and comes with a 700cc bottle, two magazines, single shot tray, two batteries and charger (also have the programmer I can add to the deal). Note-Scope, Rings, Atlas bipod and barrel clamp as well as 0dB moderator not included but can be negotiated.

Shoots the 25.4 Redesigns at 970 on medium power and with the large bottle gets tons of shots and as a bonus really really likes the Daystate Howler slugs….

Guns I would be open to trading for:

RAW .30 with newer barrel with threaded end for moderator (or an already quieted down version).

BRK Ghost HP .22

RTI Prophet with long range pellet barrel

FX King .30 600mm

Skout Epoch .30

FX Bobcat MK2 .30

******can add cash on my end if need be******

Impact M4 Buying Experience.. A Little Disappointed :( - UPDATED RESOLUTION

So, my Birthday was July 20th and it's the big 60th this year so although I really didn't need it, curiosity on the new features and Copper color of the new M4 had me pulling the trigger to treat myself.
I purchased a compact .22 because I prefer the short bullpups from "a California based dealer" the week before my B-Day and it actually arrived on my "Big Day", I was so Happy :)... then I opened
the case. Gun was absolutely beautiful and blew me away but then I noticed a few things were missing from what I was expecting. There was no Manual, no Foster fitting. and the most disappointing
thing... No Moderator. So, I reached out to the dealer to figure out why. I was told "The M4 doesn't come with a manual, we don't include the Foster fitting because no one really uses it, and they
weren't sure why I didn't get a moderator" but asked that I call back on Monday to follow up. So, I called back on Monday and was told "The Compact doesn't come with a Moderator but they would
source a manual from the distributor if they could get one and forward it along". To clarify my expectations, I'm basing my "Disappointment" on the "Getting Started with the new M4" video posted on
social media (YouTube) from the distributor. In that video the spokesperson for the distributor opens the case on a new M4 and pulls each item out of the case stating "This is what comes with the gun".
The items the spokesperson notes are #1- The Manual, #2 - The Foster Fitting, and #3 - The gun with the new FX Moderator attached. So then I started looking through all the advertisement online
both written and video from every source I could find. No where does it state that the new moderator doesn't come with the Compact setup. So, I reached out to the distributor, explained that I had
just received the new M4 from an authorized dealer and was curious why I didn't receive all of the items they (the distributor) advertised came with the purchase of the gun. Specifically I asked "Does
the new M4 purchased in compact configuration not come with a moderator?" The response, "Hmmm I honestly don't know" really bothered me. I responded that no where in the advertisements does it
state that the compact configuration doesn't include a moderator and requested they (the distributor) look into it and get me a definitive answer. Just to clarify that I'm not whining about a trivial
detail, this gun cost me $2000 + $90 shipping + CA tax totaling a full purchase price of $2243.99, for a Compact with the shortest barrel and 300cc CF bottle. I fully understand and agree that the Standard
600mm and Sniper 700mm with longer barrels and larger bottles are higher priced. Call me crazy but for that amount of money for a compact I expected a gun with ALL the factory accessories including
the damn moderator. Am I wrong here in my expectations? Does it state anywhere in advertisement that the compact doesn't include All the factory accessories? Would I even use the new FX Moderator?
Maybe not... BUT I PAID FOR IT! So, I'm still waiting for a definitive answer from the "Distributor" on whether or not a Compact purchase includes a moderator, no response as of the writing of this post.
I'm hoping for the responsible and courteous solution, all the missing accessories are sent to me or at the very least a correction in advertising that clearly states "What's in the box" for each configuration.

Do You agree?

Just wanted to say thanks

To all the good members we have here. The straight shooters. The word keepers. The ones who understand what trust and honor mean.

I recently almost got scammed twice on here. I reported the first and it came to light the acooint had been hacked and I got lucky because I sniffed him out.

Second one reached out, again for my WTB listing for the air arms s410. He offered a NIB thumbhole s510 for 800 saying he needed to get some money quick. I had just bought 2 huntsmans so funds were tight and I said not at this time but thank you.

Fast forward to this morning. I moved off some study and had the funds for the gun. I went to my messages and noticed he now has a negative feed back. He scammed another member, a newer member.

The feedback said they agreed, he sent funds. Then seller asked for more on the shipping and now he's ghosting them.

So again, I thank all of you good people that still exist in the world. I've had many pleasant experiences with many of you. Trades, sales, etc.

Also, thanks for putting up with my dark humor I have sometimes and my pre coffee rage rants on the weekends! It's never my intention to offend or piss anyone off.

Bless you all my airgun brothers!

Adjustable Objective Scope Calibration

Do you guys calibrate your AO Scope dials? I was shooting at 30 yards today with my Hawk Vantage Side Focus AO Scope set at 30 yards. I was using my Caldwell Lead Sled for target practice at my normal squirrel target range. The reason I ask this is that with my Airgun in the lead sled with the scope set at the proper yardage, I noticed that moving my eye around, the crosshairs moved on the target significantly. When I adjusted the AO dial to 50, my crosshairs moved only slightly. Do I need to consider moving or calibrating my AO dial?

Airgun Technologies  Uragan2 Q

Retirement gift coming up in the next 4-6 weeks, It's a want thing more than a need thing. Is it realistic to push a .22 mid 20 grain slug out of a Uragan2 in the mid 900's with a 600mm barrel or is a 700mm barrel required? Aesthetically I prefer the 600mm barrel. Pictures of a 600mm and a 700mm gun next to each other might help sway.

Snowpeak  M60B 30 cal. Anyone?

Anyone have one of these in 30 caliber? I'm thinking it could scratch my compact big bore itch. I've seem vids of 25 cal and 357, but im wanting get a 30 cal this time around. Can't find much on them and AAF has 2 left in stock.

Anyone have experience with these guns? How have they been treating you? I see tinker potential here, and it's not an overly expensive gun if I mess something up!

Shorty carbon bottle and 6 inches off the barrel and baffled/shrouded would be an awesome backyard thumper.

regulator setting to spring tension

i have a fully ported notos with stock tube and the factory setting regulator shooting 25 grain at 27.5 fpe. the hammer spring tension is about 70-75% tightened in at this fpe for this pellet but still sounds like it’s wasting air. my shot count is around 17-18 with this. i never messed with the regulator because up until recently, i have been using a manual pump and didn’t want to have to pump from empty multiple times while trying to tune my regulator.
my question is; can i tune the regulator down and use more hammer spring tension to achieve the same/similar fpe output?

HW/Weihrauch  HW70 Weirdness

Picked up a pre-safety model off fleabay a few months ago. It seems to cycle properly for its power, but I’m getting big swings in power. Sometimes it shoots fine, then the next shot will be a squib.

The breech seal is new - maybe it just isn’t seated correctly? Is fixing that a lot of trial and error?
