Digger Down

Skunks have caused me many $ in damage digging under my sidewalk and under the barn foundation. I was on patrol and found signs of digging by the sidewalk and the chicken wire I had buried to discourage digging torn up. Last evening the culprit showed up. It was about 9 PM. I chose my M-Rod Cobra Super Light to end his days.

I hit him in the high shoulder first to stun him so he would not spray. He was knocked down and got up and turned to spray but did not. He then started wobbly running my direction. I fired again at his head now but missed at about 10 yards! I ran (!) upwind and he was slowing and turned towards the tree line when I placed the next shot on his head and pulled the trigger. I saw the pellet hit, his head snapped away and his body rotated 30 degrees and he fell DRT.

The Cobra, .25, JSB Hades at 900+ fps.

PCP Rifle  SOLD Edgun Lelya 2.0 .25 available - update with pics!

Hello AGN!

I’m considering downsizing my collection - and floating this out there to see what offers come around.

Perfect Lelya 2.0 in .25 on offer.

Upgrades include:

Red laminate stock
8 Eaglevision Mags to go with three original mags
BAT moderator adapter

It’s currently tuned to shoot at ~41 fpe / 844 fps.

Not really interested in trades at this time, but if you have something as unique and wonderful at this Lelya, I might be moved. Otherwise I’m only interested in seeing what kind of retail+ price interest there is for my beloved.

Why? Wife is demanding I review my expenditures on my black-hole habit - which we all know what that translates to.

Pictures by text request only for this one folks. PM me here for my number.

Price? The least I’ll consider is replacement value based on retail prices for this rifle which isn’t available anymore ~ >$2500.

Thanks,
Mark

FX  The Boss

It's been a while since I've taken it out of the safe, the wind has been howling for weeks it seams. Today it slowed down a bit (5-10) cross breeze so after sending a few rounds down range with my .22 impact I pulled out the boss set the trap out to 65 yards and ran a couple mags through the boss. The two groups on the shoot n see are 9 rounds each.

PCP Rifle  NLA Bench ready FX M3 700mm .25

FX IMPACT M3 700mm .25 Caliber (reduced)

  • Cerakote Army Green
  • Airmarksman 30MOA Backbone (Long Top Rail in Cerakote Gr.)
  • Saber Tactical Arca Rail (Cerakote Gr.)
  • Donny FL moderator (Cerakote Gr.)
  • Includes all original parts .
  • 3 Genuine FX magazines – 2/25 shot & 1/28 shot
  • .22 caliber probe
  • Huma Air Single Shot Loader
  • Hard Shell Case
(*scope, scope rings, bipod and muzzle tuner NOT included)

A short video “fly by” of the rifle.

Originally purchased as my bench rifle in 2021 to replace my Mll from 2019. I relegated it to my backup when I signed on with a different manufacturer in 2022. It has tens of thousands of shots through it over the years, has been rebuild on several occasions and although having been mostly neglected over the last two years, it still shoots every bit as well as it did when it was my primary bench gun, holds air perfectly and looks awesome! Perhaps not quite not “pristine”, she remains in excellent cosmetic condition, and remains an insanely accurate machine due to a meticulous maintenance schedule and its hand picked STX liner (I tested many).

Below you'll see pictures of two 100 yard groups (1.1, 1.2) & (2.1, 2.2) I shot on Oct. 22nd 2024 specifically for this ad.

WOW! ST7 Targets are 🤯 🇺🇸 💪

I was looking for a "modular" style steel target system and I believe I've found it!

IMG_8185.jpg

I just received the NRL Full Kit. But you don't have to shoot NRL to enjoy shooting these targets. So far I'm really impressed: Pro-craftsmanship, Pro-options, Pro-packing, Pro-shipping, and great pricing! I'm headed out to get some T-Posts now.

HW44 & hand pump

I have a tank for airing up my HW100 and HW44. I was thinking of a manual pump for the pistol for when I travel and don’t want to deal with schleping a scuba tank around.
Ive read that it is like an Olympic event to use a manual pump. I’ve also read that it’s a good option for a pistol.
Any thoughts on this?
How long does it take and how much effort is required. (My body building days are ove)
Also if I go down that path are there any suggestions for a good pump?
Thanks

Affordable fill kit anyone?

Does anyone have experience with this extremely affordable fill kit?
Sure, there's no gauge on it so that's partly where the savings come but I still think it's tempting.
I already have three fill kits but You know You can never have too many of them.

I have a few scuba tanks and at least one more to come.

And while we're at it, what's with the short hose on all of these? Some industry standard as safety measure? You got to hate that. I'll get me 4 to 5 feet long ones...

FX  FX Impact M4 Cal. 22 600 mm - Superior Heavy slug liner or not ?

Hi everyone

I'm waiting on my first FX Impact. I have a AGT Uragan 2 - 600 mm cal. 22 and love it. But now I want to be able to adjust a bit more, so I am waiting for a FX Impact M4 standard (600 mm barrel) cal. 22.

I want to shoot 25-30 H&N slugs but do I then need the slug liner for that ? Is there such a difference with a 600 mm liner ? I know they have different twist rates, but how important is it ?

Thanks in advance ;-)

FX  New Impact M4 owner and Autumn Nation member

Thanks for add. 👍
Have recently upgraded from an FX Dreamline Classic .25 cal to an Impact M4 Sniper in .25 cal.
I must say that the external tuning of the Impact is so much better than the Dreamline.
That being said, I was shooting the JSab Hades out of the Dreamline to good effect (not the tightest group but consistent grouping) and was hoping to achieve the same or better in the Impact.
I had them punching at 880fps in the Dreamline so dialed up the Impact from factory settings to get the desired speed however the groups have been less than optimal. Speed increase up to 925 fps saw a bit of improvement but not consistent enough. 5 shots stacked at 50m with 5 shot groups either side with 2-3 shots stacked and 2 flyers.
Hoping someone may be able to give me an idea of speed they are seeing consistent results at (and or settings although this might not work gun to gun).
Was also hoping to find a tune that worked adequately with lightweight slugs (FX Hybrids or Zan) with the factory barrel liner and not much other mods if possible.
Anyway, I think that’s enough for my first post.
Cheers,
Rob (Ooter Outdoors).

Just tried AEA, 66gr pellets in my Boss

Just got home from a few hours plinking in the sun. Had to try the AEA, 66gr pellets that came a couple days ago. I thought it would be a bust ESPECIALLY after Centercut posted this! "Gerry, your Boss doesn't have the ass to shoot those... Not even close, unless you like 550 fps." Didn’t chrony them but, DAMN, they hit hard! Here's a 10 shot group @ 50 yards. Not spectacular but better than I'd expected. Do not impugn the ass of my beloved Boss Mike, she's got plenty! Only had to holdover 1.5 mil. Not bad!

Western Airguns  Mordax

Im surprised no one has made a thread about this one yet. It kinda looks like a Huben GK1 on steroids. It'll be available in .22, .25 and .30 aparantly. It's regulated. And has a full-auto option. Basically, it seems to be a WA Sidewinder in a smaller package.

Fx drs oring failures anyone?

Received my fx drs classic .22 700mm with the shp plenum .
Let’s first say that when this gun is sealed it’s a tack driver not only at 100 but even out to 200 yards !
Unfortunetly 6 out of 10 outings an oring failure has occurred 3 of which has been an oring on the barrel that holds the compressed air in res. To back flow through the transfer port .
Next failures have been one oring between the shp plenum and receiver .

Next failure has been the oring to seal probe inside of transfer port body .

And yet again a oring failure on the amp regulator body .

All these failures appear to be the oring delaminating leaving bits and pieces behind during removal .

So I ask has anyone else ever found a bad batch of orings on a rifle or manufacturer ? If so can anyone point me in the direction of some higher quality orings in the states ?

N/A  Bad things about Cometa

So I've been shooting the Cometa Fenix 400 Gas Ram rifle the past month. I have put about 4000 shots through it so far. I put 500 through it in the last 4 hours.

Here's the skinny.

It kicks pretty hard and it jumps forward. The trigger is funny. The open sights are iffy. The bluing is rubbing off where I'm manhandling it with my gritty palms.

Its got a plastic trigger, plastic trigger guard, hollow plastic stock, funky plastic sights and a hard plastic buttpad.

That's every bad thing I can say about the rifle. I tried to find something else but I couldn't find anything.

I named her Maria Chiquita Alvarez. She spits Crosman domes at a steady 745 fps and can hit a quarter at 50 yards 4:5 times. A crushed beer can at 70 yards every darn time. 20 green army men were decapitated tonight with as many shots. Their bodies were shot to pieces and those pieces were shot. If you can see it you can hit it. She's a keeper.

The trigger is different. But it works great. It's plastic. Forgive me father but I like it.

Her plastic stock fits me well. I know it's wrong but I think I may be in love with her.

She will keep shots all within 1/2" ctc at 25 yards with an occasional flyer. Plenty good for my purposes. And she's a sensible girl that buys her pellets at Wal Mart. She likes the CPHP's best so who am I to disagree?

She gets along fine with the frauleins and is warming up to the Turkish girls. Even the ol' 97 has accepted her. I'm thinking about bringing her sister over on a visa to live with us if things keep working out like this!
