So we all know large cf tanks last for 15 years and need hydro test every 5 years. After 15 years shops won't even fill or hydro test it anymore.
So question is, how long does bottles on pcp last for? Do they need to be hydro test evert 5 years? Can I keep using my 480cc bottle after 15 years or do I toss them away? I haven't heard anyone sending their small pcp bottles for hydro testing.

I wasn’t really in the market for another given that I got an M4 and a Ghost this year buuuut… here we are now I am thinking about guns I was sort of eyeing and thinking about but didn’t pull the proverbial trigger for one reason or another. Cause isn’t that what presents are for? Getting things you wouldn’t buy for yourself? On the list are:

RTI Mora - though the standard seems to be sold out and the sniper may be a little long…

RTI P3 - thinking about it can’t remember why I never got that one…

FX King - maybe the new synthetic? Though I got annoyed with FX for not fixing we’ll known bugs with the M4. But when you get them to do what they’re supposed to?! Oh boy…

BRK Pathfinder - maybe something light and fun for the woods? Loving the Ghost so maybe another BRK…

I know it’s hard to pick/recommend a gun without knowing for what purpose, but if you were offered “pick any” today, what would you pick? I mostly plink in the backyard anywhere from 40 to 75y and occasionally 100y, other than that hunting/pesting small stuff with airguns. All in .22 and .25 and don’t really want to go bigger.

Back in August I purchased a PCP air rifle, then I purchased a Vevor Compressor. When it arrived the box was damaged. After inspection one of the cooling line fittings was broke off, no big deal to replace. I also found the top air line bent. I contacted Vevor for a replacement, they refused and wanted a video of it running. I told them they were nuts to think I was going to start a damaged 4500psi compressor and video it for them. They persisted and requested a video before anything could be done. I turned the table on them and requested an email of them accepting liability if anything went wrong while making their video. They immediately refunded my money and said dispose of the compressor. I took the compressor to a company in Edmonton AB that deals in high pressure SS air lines. They inspected and assured me that the lines are meant to be formed and the extra bends are no issue. At this pint I hunted down the special oil required and filled it. When I plugged it in and hit the start button, all it did was buzz or humm. The Vevor compressor failed to start. I can turn the compressor by hand and it rotates.I tested the start capacitor and its good. I dont think the start capacitor is getting power. Can anyone shed some light on this problem, it would be greatly appreciated. I am almost at the end of my patience regarding this venture and tending to want to sell the Air Rifle and be done with it

Starting this weekend, I'm full on setting up my .25 Redwolf EFT rig. This means closest targets at 20 Yards = check.
This also means furthest target is 100 yards with a 4" KZ = check.
as this is a second focal plane scope, SFP, it will mean i should set my dope card (click values) up on a specific magnification, lets say at the max of 30X, but, I'm aware target acquisition is and FOV is much harder at max mag, so for acquistion and ranging I'll probably use 20 X the up the power to 30 X to take my shots. In case you are not aware, a second focal plane scope holdover points change as you change magnification levels.
First Focal Planes remain the same.

Hi everyone! My CS4 has been a workhorse for the last 50 hours of run time up until the weather got cold. Now that the temperature dropped and the unit is in my garage, when turning it on it pumps very very slowly. I cleaned the check valve located underneath the burst disc as well as the check valve located in the steel pipe coming from the head to no avail. I found a video from Jason at GX that recommended to add water to the grease pot to flush out any debris or possibly excess grease from the internal check valve located within the high-pressure piston (which requires disassembly to clean or replace)

Has anybody tried this method yet and what were your results?

I'm new to the FX Impact M3 world, so I'm trying to find the way to get the best of my gun. I have a 700mm .22 with a superior heavy liner, the rest is stock. My objective is to shoot medium weight slugs (~25 gr) with precision as far as possible. I don't really care about sacrificing the total number of shots that I can get out of my bottle.

I'm currently pushing JSB KnokOut slug 25.39 gr .217 at about 930 FPS average. These are my tuning settings:

First reg: 155 bar
Second reg: 115 bar
Macro: 16
Micro: 4 and 3/4
Valve: 4 lines

I'm still getting quite a high standard deviation in FPS but the gun is nearly new, so it should take some time to settle.

Do you think that I should push for higher FPS for my objectives? Can I achieve that by simply increasing the pressure of both regulators?

Just got this d48 and on the 2nd shot after I cocked the arm back it won’t go back into position. It didn’t cock very smoothly wondering if this would need to be sent for repair or any easy way to unlock it. The seller said it was sitting in the safe for years and is in excellent condition so maybe never getting oiled is a factor. I also have a d48 in .177 and never had this issue and the arm on that one always cocks and goes back into position smoothly.

Whats everyone found is best for slugs in 22cal? Polygon or standard rifling? I have RAW HM1000X .22cal that I use for WRABF 50m Unlimited Air and the current barrel is very hit n miss so considering a new barrel to replace it.

Yes Ive tried pellets, etc and everything throws crazy wierd flyers even in nil wind conditions.

Started life as a basic Notos, i wanted to see just how far i could push the platform. The goal is to tune for 22 Fx Hybrid slugs at or around 960fps. I started this project for fun, as when i started into airguns building crosman 2240 2250 etc etc QB co2 rifles all onto pcp rifles. It has been alot of fun and have smiled from beginning to end.

I opened up the valve seat and block transferports all to 4mm, along with the plenum transferport. Plenum transferport port is the issue, needs to be larger then 4mm but tricky to do. Ordered a new valve poppet made from peek and stainless steel. Im looking to swap out the valve return spring for something just a bit lighter as to open the valve at higher reg pressures. So far ive been able to pull 35 foot pounds. But i need to pull at least 10 more for the end goal.

Rifle will be used as a small game hunter.

Well the first day is over and I want to send out a big round of applause to Garrett and his crew for an absolutely stunning course. I did not shoot as well as I had hoped but that wasn't because of the course.

I have never shot wftf Style field Target before so going in I wasn't expecting much but I did as good as I had expected. It did get warm this afternoon but what do you expect from Phoenix?

There did not seem to be any major hiccups along the course, all the targets fell if you hit them in the right spot. They were also a good variety of shots from Cross Canyon shots to 45° angle shots up on the rocks. Overall I think they did a tremendous job and now I just have to get my crap together!
