PCP Rifle  SOLD Bottled Notos $475 shipped.

Selling my notos build, internally it is unmolested, no porting has been done, no springs have been cut or changed.

I installed the dream valve along with a 360cc CF bottle that currently gives me about 130 shots from a 28mpa fill.

I have 5 Tango sierra mags for it 3 12rd and 2 15rd.

It likes to shoot CPHP, 15.89gr JSB, 14.3gr JSB and 18.8gr JTS Wadcutters as well as polynags byt the polymags don't fit the magazine.

I also replaced the internal baffles and added the tango sierra mod insert which makes it even quieter. It does add about 3 inches to the overall length, but it is pretty well balanced.

I have taken hundreds of iguanas with this gun already, I like it a lot, it's just not really for me. So I'm letting it got for $475. It will come with all of the original parts as well of you want them.

Athlon Scopes - your opinion?

Hi,

I'm looking at getting this scope - Athlon Helos BTR GEN2 2-12x42 AHMR2 0.1 MIL. Its for a vermin / hunting application anywhere between 30 to 150 meters as a maximum.

I just wondered if anyone has had any experience of this scope and wanting some feedback. The reviews look good online and I personally love the reticle.

I'm so torn between a fixed prismatic style scope & this, I love the really wide field of views of the Prim's offer, but there are times when I just need that little bit more or less magnification & I'm thinking this is a good alternative / all rounder for me.

Happy to hear of any other suggestions from anyone else or experience with Athlon scopes in general.

Thanks.
:)

FX  FX Airgun or NOT

Hi Guys,
I just have a quick question, I own a lot of $300-$800 airguns from Avenger, JTS , Benjamin,etc mostly .22 and a few .25
I have always looked for bargin guns cause I never could shell out a lot of $ on a gun.
What I found is almost all the bargin guns function about the same. some good some not as good.
I would love to get a gun that is accurate and has power at 50 and 100yrds
I am NOW looking at spending a little more $ and getting an FX.
My question is Do you thing it would be worth buying a $2000 gun vs a lot of cheaper guns?
Will I be glad I did or disapointed? I just do plinging bench rest not hunting.

Real life lead poisoning from airgunning

Hi guys.

One post motivated me to write this topic.

- What about lead dust? What if you inhale lead dust?

Have you ever seen lead dust? I bet you really haven't. It is still lead and no matter how fine a dust particle it is ground in to, it is still many, many, many, many, many times heavier than air and immediately falls to the floor. Now I'm sure that you could devise a way to inhale lead dust, but it would need to be intentionally done.

I am sorry but it is not true at all. I have lead poisoning from the lead dust. It is enough when you shoot indoors frequently or you chrony your gun indoors. Our silencers are called LDCs (lead dust collectors) for a reason. Have you seen the interior of such a silencer? It is covered with lead dust. I also had a talk with an indoors shooting range employee. His BLL (blood lead level) is 10 times as high as the norm - 500 ug/L. He does not inhale lead on purpose. My BLL was about 100ug/L - twice as high as the norm. Now I am more or less at the norm level. I did some chelation to speed the excrection up.

The most dangerous form of lead is lead dust. Almost all inhaled lead is absorbed through the lungs into your bloodsteam. Then, some of it is excreted through the sweat, bile and urine. The rest is built into the bones from which the excrection can last many years.

The lead inhalation absorbtion is in contrast with the ingested lead as the absorbtion through the digestion system is about 10% only.

Stay safe guys!

Lead is no joke.

PCP Rifle  NLA *** SOLD *** One Of Two FX Impact MKII .30 cal 700mm Snipers - Both Packages SOLD

My father and I each have primary and backup FX Impact MKII .30 cal 700mm Snipers. We have had them for several years and we are ready to upgrade to newer air guns, so I am selling our trusty MKIIs to fund our upgrades. These air guns have been exceptionally well cared for and have been used primarily for bench shooting. When I sell a used air gun, I really try to prep the rifle so it will be ready to go out of the box when received, and I try to provide as much quantitative evidence of what the buyer will be getting up front, so when I say "it's a good shooter", and "it's been very well cared for", the buyer can see this is true before deciding If they would like to buy.

I will be doing the same for our backup MKIIs and listing them soon but wanted to get these two primary guns up and available.

The two packages below are being offered for $1075 each, with shipping and insurance included. I will only ship an air rifle to an address in the continental US, and reserve the right to decline a purchase offer based on state or local laws of the ship-to location. Payment via PayPal F&F.

NOTE: We are not looking for any trades at this time.

N/A  FX Wildcat MK3

I recently purchased an MK3 Wildcat .22 compact (tube) version. As of today, I have run just under 500 pellets down range. The only thing I have done to my new gun was 1st day I removed the barrel and cleaned it. I did turn the barrel, so the transfer port was on the slug port. I ran it over the chronograph then and today. I am very pleased with its performance and consistency. I'm pretty much getting factory specs on shot count (60) @886fps average with a SDV of 1.6 Today I also reversed the transfer port to pellets. It dropped 20 fps from the slug port on the thimble, so I returned it to the slug port. I usually let a gun break in before I try adjusting/tuning it as I believe that's the number 1 cause of problems/issues with new guns.

Advice Needed

Hello, ladies and gents. First time poster here. I need some advice. I'm new to air rifles and was looking for a quiet backyard shooter that is capable of killing squirrels. Damn critters are constantly digging through my garden. I live in a residential area, so it's very important that the rifle needs to be quiet. At first, I was looking at the Umarex Notos, but found out later that my workshop air compressor isn't capable of filling up PCP air rifles. I also didn't want to spend more money buying an air compressor to fill up PCP's, so I decided to check out break barrels. After reading various reviews and watching various videos, I settled on the Gamo Swarm Magnum 10X GEN3i. Some reviews mentioned that the rifle is fairly quiet. The rifle also seemed fairly quiet in some videos. The rifle came in a few days ago and I finally shot the rifle today at my squirrel-feeder that has a backstop, and boy, was it loud as hell. I had to run back inside the house in fear that someone would call the police on me. So, my questions are:

1) I raised a ticket with Gamo. They haven't responded yet. Do you think Gamo would accept a return of the Gamo Swarm Magnum even though I have fired the rifle once? If Gamo doesn't accept the return, what should I do with the rifle? I have zero use for this rifle. It's way too loud. It almost sounded like a real gun. How and where should I sell the rifle?

2) Should I have just gotten an Umarex Notos instead and picked up a hand pump?

Thanks in advance.

ELR mice/squirrel

I was told in another topic that slugs splitting the hair you’re aiming at well beyond 100 yards is common practice on YouTube. I don’t watch that stuff because I just prefer to set my own standards about what is realistic and what is not. I built a gun a while back when I thought having a high powered .25 would be the greatest thing ever. Once it was done, I didn’t use it as much as I thought. It’s basically a powder burner and the scope is not one I’d like to bang around in the woods. Lately I decided to get some use out of it. My dad gave me a feeder and I replaced the plexiglass with a steel plate. I set it up at 131 yards and now shoot mice off it at night. Plus one chipmunk. I’m currently 10 for 12 on mice. Here’s one tonight. His buddy in a panic took the 15 foot dive to safety.

This gun is MOM, minute of mouse at 130 yards. I’ve shot and killed almost everything I’ve aimed at out to 285 yards. If this is common practice on YouTube and you believe everything you see there, that’s great. I’m just posting because I’m just a regular dude letting you know it is possible if you put in the work. Just happened to be way more work than I thought. Definitely not over the counter components.

PCP Rifle  SOLD WTS. Aselkon Ravello RX6 22 caliber

Up for sale is my Aselkon RavelloRx6 pcp rifle. I bought the gun new about a year ago. Has approximately 900 rounds thru it. I used it for hunting ground squirrels. It has developed a leak and won’t hold air overnight. It worked for hunting this summer since it would hold air for most of the day.
So there’s not much support and the gun is a Turkish made gun. Other than leaking the gun is in great shape. There are a couple scuffs on the bottle that appear in pictures. I suspect it’s leaking from the regulator. It needs work so I’m selling it for $300. Shipping included to continental USA. Would be a great project gun.

Results  September SVFTC Match report

It appears the heat of summer, delayed or postponed outside work has caught up with a lot of our typically present crew !! That further compounded by a late season Gran Prix match on the same weekend having 6 more of our regulars up in Ashland OR for said event.

This left us with 11 shooters present for our September match & in No Way did that damp our enthusiasm for a Fun & Challenging club match !!

Chris & Scott on site a tad before 7 and tad after 7 getting after the course set up, and having it 3/4's done by the time the next car drives in being done with the 14 lanes inside @ 35-40 minuets.

Todays match had a Twist .. That by the time we finished had mixed feeling about it, tho mostly positive.
* We had set out 3 full KZ 2" bell targets out on the @ 53/55 yard line having 1 each on lanes THREE, SIX & NINE. These were declared as a mandatory extra shot on these 2 lanes with the applied scoring rule as:
Take 2 shots at each, A HIT on the Bell target scores 2 Points, A Miss scores a Negative 2 Points This in the simplest terms was hit 1st miss second a ZERO, Hit Bell BOTH times you gained 4 points
;D
in addition to the 2 knock down targets score ( 8 possible points on these lanes ) Or the bad way it ended for many being especially the low power or spring shooters was MISSING BOTH shots on the bells getting a negative 4 that wiped out any previous hits & score on the 2 previous knock down targets in the lane yielding a entire lane ZERO ... OUCH !!!
Fun yes, score Number counters not so much ... Challenging ABSOLUTELY !!

Todays match knowing our shooter numbers were much reduced we opted out on providing our typical lunch & extras, everyone got a 1/2 price match fee to compensate.

MATCH RESULTS by Class, Name & Score ( The Zero or +4 or - 4 in the totals ) ( Noted behind score as to lane 3/6/9 results ) XX/56 + extra shots

It was noticed by many how quiet everyone was today & not the typical giggling and laughing but more serious ... Interesting ? None the less all stated it was a great match, challenging course and fun. Our top shooters continue to set the bar pretty high which will continue to make for a more refined course set up in the future to have something for everyone.
Yea the IONE breeze was there from the start & steadily increased threw out the morning and even did a direction switch on us. So continues the lessons to be learned in shooting in the wind.
We cleaned up, packed up and most were gone by 1:00 or so with 2 of us staying around till @ 3:00 shooting OR should we say ATTEMPTING to shoot 50 & 75 yards in a pretty good breeze with there higher power .22 PCP's.

Thats it guys ... Another one on the books for 2024 !! Thank you to those that made it out & Don't hate the MD for a Fun / Not so Fun lay out & scoring. It is a Club FUN MATCH after all.
