Beeman  Beeman R1 .177 build

Ok,I had to get aproval before I posted from the owner.

This was a older BEAR on the side .177 that was built to shoot 10.3 pellets. Its been striped re blued a satin finish and a custom spring as well as top hat and new seals. Acording to the owner he is hitting 50 yard 3 inch spinners consistently.

Custom muzzle brake and hood sight set up for factory irons.

Refinish beech stock to a ebony finish and Satin re blue.

Pillars added to the forearm bolts.

Re choked and crowned.

Cocks as his words, “ like a Hw 50, but hits like a normal R1“

Stock was stripped, a iron oxide solution was used to water pop and dyed with black aniline dye.

A factory finish was the goal but black ebony .. Checkering was chased but sprayed to give factory look of original Beeman Goudy stocks.

15 ft lbs and fun gun to use. I Knew it was a shooter as I sighted with irons before shipping ..Holding three shot groups at 15 yards all touching and I’m NOT a iron sight guy.

FX  FX 1:16 superior slug liner, which slug?

Which slug do you guys use in your .25 slug liner?

Best I can get out of my 600mm King .25 at the moment is an inch at 50 yards, 115-120 bar, large wheel 19, small wheel 2.75 plus one or 2 clicks, with .250 H&N 34 grain.

(tried a bunch of others, all lighter than 34)

At 35 yards various slugs will go hole in hole, but at 50 is where the trouble starts, they start to go off course.

If shooting at a clear background I can clearly see them spiraling wildly. I'm thinking perhaps the twist rate is just too fast for them.

Go heavier?

PCP Rifle  SOLD Snowpeak M60B 30 cal

Like new, never been shot off hand always on a bench and bipod.

Always in a nice padded hard case when not being used. Less than 300 rounds through it.

Reg is set at 175-180 bar, and gets 70 fpe for 2 full mags. Prefers JTS 45.06 and they're averaging 835 fps. Not problems stacking pellets at 40 yards. Never pushed further.

Comes with the extra parts and o-rings that came with the gun, 1 factory mag, and an almost full tin of its preferred dinner. Comes in the original box as well.

Absolutely mint condition and no leaks at all.

Came for squirrels, stayed for starlings

I had a few squirrels running amuck in the yard, so I decided to grab the mini tac. I came out the side door and had one at the first bait/backstop location.

I took and offhand shot and just grazed the ear and it took off. The other 2 further out back scattered when they saw their buddy book it outta there.

I was going to put the gun away, and heard a couple starlings up in my tree. Got 2 of them, and had a 3rd I hit low who flew off and dropped out of clean up range.

Beeman  .177 Beeman Chief

Bought one as a project gun. Was not expecting it to sound like a .22 magnum carbine. My god immediate fear my neighbors would call the police. Do any of you in AGN land own a chief, and have you any experience with the available Lane regulator? Is it worth the $85 to regulate? I'm waiting on the buckrail Moderator system to arrive Saturday before I bother clocking the shot curve. Anyone know which pellets it might enjoy?. I've got 10.3jts and baracuda match as well as CPHP 8's .

AEA .30 caliber 66 grain pellets!!!

Does anyone know anything about these? At 825 fps they would be at 100 FPE which is max for many competitions, especially EFT. The head shape looks more like the 45s than the 50.5s... BC may or may not be better than the 50.5, I'm sure we'll see soon. I ordered a couple of tins to test.

PCP Rifle  NLA Snowpeak m60b 30 cal

Thinking about selling the m60b 30 cal. Less than 300 shots thru it, I just don't have the space to really shoot this gun. Getting rid of my big bores since my 25s can cover everything I need.

I can post pics if interested, but it's basically new. Never been shot without being on a bipod and on a bench.

Will be asking $450 shipped.

PM if interested.

Got my new pcp

Got my p3 in yesterday ,from talon tunes. I opened box and there sat the moderator I couldn’t get. Tony gifted a Donny FL. All my new Airgun purchases will be for him. And some other cool stuff thanks Tony!! Just realized I’ve been in to pcp’s 4yrs now. There’s a Texan 457cf, marauder, aircuda max(just bought month ago) and now p3. Didn’t realize the stuff was so addictive.

ShinSung  Shin Sung Career II help needed

So I scored a .22 cal Career II.
She's holding air and fires but the pellet feed is frustrating me. Tried a couple different shapes with no luck. Hangs up and jambs. Doesn't cycle em in with the lever. Does this look like a custom made magazine? I'm thinking it's the problem. Shouldn't it be black? Is there a trick I'm missing? Certain pellets?

Scope recording, what's the option?

Looks like Eagle Vision side-cam with a Go Pro is the most popular option, but the combination of those two will end up costing about $700~800. Next best option seems to be the Triggercam 2.1 but it's still close to $600.

Is there any other option for recording the scope reliably without breaking the bank? I saw some of those cellphone mount adapter on amazon but they have terrible reviews and ratings, some phone's camera might not even align properly to capture the scope view.

Coyote taken with Air Venturi Avenge X .22 with 18gr pellet to the forehead!

Hey there. You look tired. Take a load off and sit down, I'm gonna tell you a story.

Today I went over to the Shed, where I film all my content, just to zero 2 guns, put some new supplies away, then leave. A simple trip, an hour at most. When I arrived I saw my dad had trapped a squirrel in his chipmunk trap on the porch, so knowing I'd have to dispatch the squirrel I pulled one of the two guns I brought, a .22 caliber brand new Air Venturi Avenge X Classic in the standard synthetic stock (https://myhighpressureair.com/avenge-x-classic/?aff=2), out of my Dulce double gun case (https://amzn.to/407FGST) and loaded a mag up for it. I then decided, with my freshly filled mag, that I wanted to zero the guns first so I left the trapped squirrel alone for the time being and headed down to the Shed with some supplies I needed to stash as well as the uncased Avenge X in hand. Normally I'd carry my unloaded and cased (and therefore useless) guns to the Shed in their bags and then take them to the shooting shack before even uncasing them....

First stop: the Shed to drop my supplies off. As soon as I had opened the door and walked into the Shed to put my supplies away I hear the crunching of leaves seemingly coming from extremely close to the south side of the Shed. Crunch crunch... a squirrel? CRUNCH! No way, that's bigger than a squirrel. A skunk, perhaps? I grabbed the Avenge X that I had leaned against the doorframe, which was already loaded from me initially wanting to dispatch the trapped squirrel, and I swiveled out the door toward the direction of the leaf crunching sounds. What I saw next was both shocking and not shocking at the same time, since it was something I'd been after for months, and even shot at several times (and almost certainly had actually hit once) - but I'll be damned if it wasn't right under my Shed!

A mangy coyote that, in the colder weather which just rolled in, had moved from his den near the river and was apparently trying to shack up under my Shed. He was probably lonely, as I had killed his only litter-mate earlier this season with my FX Panthera Hunter Compact .30 (https://myhighpressureair.com/fx-panthera-hunter-compact/?aff=2) topped with the DNT Optics ThermNight (https://myhighpressureair.com/dnt-optics-tnc225r-thermal-nightvision-w-laser-rangefinder/?aff=2). Anyway, I had spooked the little nesting chupacabra by stepping on the hollow floor, causing if to creak loudly, and he vacated.

Upon exiting the Shed our eyes met and he jetted off in an unsafe direction to shoot, and although I probably could have got him on the run there within 20 yards without incident; I passed on the hasty shot and ran up front where I thought he was going to go. About 30 yards of running later I got a glimpse of him through the forest and whistled to get his attention. That's when he made the fatal mistake of taking just a moment to look at me. No sooner did he turn his head to look, I raised my Avenge X up, got him in the reticle of my Element Optics Helix APR-2D MRAD (https://myhighpressureair.com/element-helix-ffp-30mm-6-24x50-apr-2d-mrad/?aff=2) scope and broke the shot from an unsupported standing position about 25 yards away from the critter. My 18gr JSB pellet sailed directly between his eyes, and he dropped like a marionette suddenly abandoned by the hands of its master.

Here is the visual part of the story, well, the aftermath, at least:

1729132800863.png

1729132825498.png

1729132846779.png

And while I didn't get it on film, since it was very unexpected, I did have the thought to capture this video even with my heart a thumpin' from the excitement:

And here is his brother who I sniped about 2 months ago, sporting a similar degree of insanely disgusting mange:

1729133273029.png

Now oddly enough, when these two were springborn pups, fur fully intact, I happened to be practicing with my Panthera NRL22 rig and noticed them in the meadow. I watched them both playing innocently, as puppies do, with exceptional clarity through my Element Titan 5-25x56 scope (https://myhighpressureair.com/titan-5-25x56-ffp-ehr-2d-moa-pre-order/?aff2) but in a moment of extremely rare (for me) mercy, my 34gr H&N slugs did not leave my barrel at 1000fps in their direction - I simply did not shoot them. Normally I would have dumped on them both instantly in a very robotic and automatic way, as I am pretty much programmed for pest control with zero exceptions. In any case, I knew I'd kill them both eventually. But I did let them enjoy that day in the sun, only to eventually bring permanent night to them both.

This has been an Air Shootist short story. Hope ya liked it!

  • Question
N/A  Switching to PCP

So, I've decided to switch from break barrel to PCP. long story short, I bought a break barrel (double ordered on accident actually) and i've had nothing but problems with it...
break barrels seem to be too inconsistent and too finicky for me... I'm impatient. I don't want to spend an hour trying to zero in a scope because I have to use a specific rest (sand bags) and use an artillery grip and have to hold the gun the exact same way every time you shoot it so that it shoots consistent... and then the barrel might have play in it so when you break the barrel it might not come back to the *exact* same spot so your shot placement will be off etc etc....

nah... thats too much unnecessary crap for me... I've spent 2 weeks trying to sight in this stupid gamo swarm break barrel and I'm getting sick of it. im wanting to just throw it in the garbage if im being honest. (and not only that it kills my arms after cocking it about 20-30 times.) I'd prefer something a bit easier to shoot with a bit more consistency and accuracy. (plus I'd like to use a rail mounted bi-pod or possibly a clamped tri-pod since i plan on hunting with it).

Initially the only reason i went with break barrel is cause im left handed and i couldnt find many left handed or ambidextrous PCPs. That being said, i recently saw that the Benjamin Armada (Linked here) has a reversible bolt for us south paws and is regulated. I've always heard good things about benjamin n(typically the maurader, but the armada has a under barrel rail and I dont see one on the maurader). BUT I've read some pretty negative reviews about the cartridge and how cheaply made they are... I'd LIKE to keep the price under $800 USD if anyone could recommend a GOOD ambedextrous PCP. Rememeber I'm wanting undermounted bipod and left handed/ambedextrous. semi auto or bolt action is fine. Would also like it to be regulated.

TIA.
