FX Impact M4 Sniper

This is a followup to my previous post about my experience with FX. I purchased a new gun and received a very defective gun. It was a terrible experience. I finally received a new replacement gun and it is defective as well. Unbelievable to get 2 back to back defective guns. The new replacement gun leaks the pressure out of the cylinder. The shop I bought it from suggests that I spray soapy water in several places to detect the leak. Anyone out there have any suggestions for me? Im pretty disgusted with this total experience and am disappointed in the investment I made into this PCP world. It's hard to understand how FX gets the reputation of being the best but I can't seem to get the support I need to get a properly functioning gun. Are there classes to take on the disassembly, repair and reassembly of these guns? If so,are they any good?
Thank you all for the feedback to my prior post. I appreciate all. Merry Christmas to all.

How accurate are gauges on guns?

How accurate does everyone think the gauges on guns are? I have a TJ2 valve 9L tank, and alkin reg from top gun Airguns. When tethering my airforce Texan with an AAO upgrade the gauge and reg say 300 bar but the gauge on the gun is ready maxed out at 315. The gauge has to be off, correct ? Is there a way to get it calibrated?

Soooooooo, this was the problem all along. SMH! I shot about 100 rounds through my Texan trying to tune it and was wondering why my reg and gauge were so far off! Even shooting at 250 bar with my AAO kit I was slinging 350gr Nielson HPBT at 973 FPS!!!! Can't wait to see what it does on a full 300 bar and correct tuning!!!

Scope Recommendation for Bullpup

Hey folks! I'm in the market for a new not so heavy scope for my Bullpup (for shooting or hunting purposes) but I’m trying to avoid spending a ton of money.

I’ve heard a lot about top-tier optics, but honestly, I’m not ready to drop a fortune. I’m more about balancing performance and budget. Anyone have recommendations?

I’m looking for something that gives good clarity, decent range, and solid accuracy without being overpriced. Maybe something under $300 (but open to suggestions if it’s really worth it). 💡

For context, I’ll mostly be using the it on a medium-range shooting. Precision matters, but I don’t need pro-level gear for now.

What do you all think? Any mid-tier scopes you’ve had good experiences with I’ve seen a few options, but your feedback would help a lot! 🔍

Thanks in advance! 🙏

Feel free to tweak it as you see fit!

NEW GX CS-3 Noisy: listen please

Hello members

I just tested my new CS-3 today
Everything works as it should, but the fan noise is very loud.
2 Videos linked
- Sound internal faN ONLY
- Sound fan & pump together

I am not concerened about the pumping noise.
It is the loud, relatively high pitch of the fan that I think is the issue
Please listen and let me know if what you think
I'm. of course, ready to contact GX

Thanks
Edward

RUDE Surprise

UPS now charges for a box or plastic bag to ship free Amazon returns so keep the box you recieve stuff in so you can return and not get charged $4.18 for a plastic bag. . I am guessing the box price depends on the size box ?
So since received from two shipping cities i had to return to two places @ total $8.36 cost .

Taipan  1 complaint about new Taipan Vet 2 Standard

I'm starting to like most everything about the Taipan Vet 2 except for the noise it makes, I guess everyone has a different idea of what quiet is but to me this gun is not it. All my guns that are in or close to Taipans power are quieter with mods.. even in the woods squirrel hunting it seems fairly loud, shot at a squirrel at 60 yds and it definitely heard the shot when I missed.
Would like to take that big ugly mod off and put something else on it that might be more effective but the way its set up dont see how, if you've put a different one on or modded current one on your Vet2 please explain how and what you did.. Thanks in advance for any help.

PCP Rifle  SOLD Edgun Leyla .22 - $1,250

I have an Edgun Lelya in .22 for sale. The rifle is beautiful, in excellent shape. It's one of the best off-hand rifles I've ever shot. Groups nicely. I've only shot pellets through it, mostly pesting in my backyard. Probably less than 500 shots total.

Comes with three mags and fill probe.

Scope and rings not included.

I'm located in Louisville, happy to meet anyone in the area. Or PayPal + shipping.
I'm selling a few rifles to make room for a L2. Hard to let this one go.

$1,250 shipped

Daystate  If you had the bucks for a daystate?

I'm thinking a Daystate AphaWolf performance 25 or 30. Probably a 0db target kit airgun silencer ( LDC). WHAT LENGTH BARREL, CALIBER, would you prefer. Is there a different style you prefer? Caliber preference? I like bullpups. Have an FX and R5M. Both 25s. Was looking at 23” barrel currently. I like the laminated stocks. Have the R5M on a bumble bee laminate from one of the board members. Thanks my friend. It looks quite exotic. What do the conniseurs of PCPs think here ? ¿ ? Don't be afraid to spend the other Guy's money here. OK Thanks and Be Well Brothers, Bandito.

How much of the plenum is used?

I really have no idea how much of a plenum like 60-110cc is used when firing. I know there are variables like dwell, hs, sub 12 or fac etc but ...I wonder if an airgun is tuned to standard velocities for a given pellet like 18.1 in .22 and going for 900 fps how much of a 110 cc plenum is emptied when fired? It can't be the whole thing on a modest tune and reg setting and having had to fire several shots to empty even smaller plenums made me wonder.

Skout  My Epoch arrived today!

So far I have got it ready for a trip to the range and pinched a scope from another rifle, and I am impressed with the quality and workmanship, more to come once I have had a chance to shoot a few hundred pellets, the only thing that disappoints is the fact that after the initial contact from Skout USA i then replied with questions but never received any more replies, and to add to this I then contacted the Wolfiek group with similar questions last Sunday yet still haven't received any reply, not impressed!

FX  Crown FPS confustion

I really hate to post again as I have gotten so much information from you guys and am sure I look totally incompetent. I received my new Crown last week and love the feel, look, trigger etc. It came with a card from the dealer showing they had fired it and it is shooting 880 fps with 18.1 pellets with both dials set at max. and a reg. pressure of a hair over 100. GREAT, that is very close to what I wanted as far as fps goes. BUT, when I fired it on my crono it is shooting only 830 fps with the 18.1's. The crono is new and I have shot it under two of my other guns and it is in my belief very accurate. SO today I turned the reg up to 125 which dropped my fps from 830 to 780. All readings are with both adjustable dials maxed out. I did turn each of them down independently and it did drop the fps more which indicates to me they are both working properly. My intent in buying this crown was to use it to shoot primarily at 50 to 75 yards and hoped the factory tune would produce a fps around 900. I am not mechanical and want to tune for about that fps and leave it alone as I have other guns for other distances. Now I am going to have to monkey around with it, stock off, etc. which I sure did NOT want to do. So what do I do next?

Huben  .25 k1 scared me

so… i was curious about something so i decided to turn my regulator up to 18-19 mpa and add 20 clicks from 17 clicks on the power wheel.37 total.
i aimed down range and pulled the trigger. the 33.49 jsb kings in the magazine made a very sharp snap that echoed as it swished in the air.

scared the crap out of me! put the gun away and turn the power wheel back down to the original 17 clicks from 0. now im sitting on the couch hoping nobody starts snooping around. 🙂↕️
