Has anyone setup their RAW HM1000X in a Saber Tactical Chassis for Benchrest??

If so, what buttstock did you use?? Having trouble finding one that would work without being really tall.

Only had 45min to hunt this evening. Got the biggest squirrel I’ve killed in years!

One of the things I really enjoy is finding the old gems and cleaning them up ! Bought this sight unseen just relying on some ordinary photos.

Picked up today shows a HW35 from 1973 that I'm confident hasn't been opened . Guessing some shots and then hidden in a dark corner.

Any tips getting the residual leather from the breach seal recess please?

Up for sale is my newly acquired Agt Vulcan v3 .30 cal. i don’t like it no where near as much as i thought i would. and its too much for what i need right now. i like my edguns. This has an African Air Ordnance power kit and a huma regulator. I havent shot this much but it’s a hammer. 61 gr AVS slugs at 950 fps. have a couple hundred slugs to sell with it and 3 magazines, fill probe, and an fx bottle adaptor.

I am torn between the FX models. I want the best accuracy at every distance out to at least 300. I am a competitive PRS shooter already in both .22 and open (6 dasher) so I want my pcp to be as accurate if not more than both at 100 and close to dasher at 300. I’m between building a chassis rifle with the drs pro barreled action, the panthera 700, and the m4. I am looking for feedback from anyone that has significant experience with FX air rifles that can truly speak to the differences between these specific platforms from experience. Thanks guys. (I’d love to feel confident at 300 and hopeful at 500 with .22 slugs for more clarity which seems very possible (sub MOA) with good wind reads

This is a very pristine Diana 100 SSP .177, it comes with the original Diana rear aperture micrometer sight and original front disc aperture sight including 2 spare metal inserts and one clear insert, an angled spacer for the adjustable buttplate, original owners manual, original test target, a couple of wrenches and a few misc. seals. the gun was fully and professionally resealed 8/2021. These guns are rare and extremely rare in the USA. They were the successor to the well known and well respected Diana 75 series and only produced between 1989 and 1998 making them the last single stroke pneumatics produced by Diana. This one appears to be a Mark II version with improvements over the Mark I version. I am only selling it because at 72 years old, I find I don't enjoy the cocking process and have decided to stick to PCP target rifles. I had a feeling today.
Went to a lineman’s Christmas party I’ve been retired for a year plus. Poor turnout guys just ain’t into socializing and being friends outside of work any more.
Anyway got right on the iPad when I got home. I wanted to buy something.
Well saw a post for Dacks price on ZELOS, just so happens I bought one from another discounter for about the same price 10 days ago.
Let’s see what else. I saw too many positive YouTube vids on the barra 250z, yes I want one but discounted of course. No luck.
So up came a Hatsan neutron star .22 for $500. I know it’s had some bad reviews but I’ve had a good experience with another Turkish
gun, a Reximex rpa which got me into this pcp a short month ago.

five guns in five weeks I’m glad I couldn’t have afforded more real (sorry) guns while working.

Little warmer today so the tree rats are out. Had 3 in a maple tree, got one and had another barking. Soon as I pulled the trigger on him, he turned. It clipped his nose and now he's hiding. Waiting for him to pop back out and finish him off.

This is the one I got with a front left shoulder thru vital shot. Exited in front of right rear leg.





Got a bonus sparrow with a 30 yard off hand head shot. I was happy with that.




Well, the other squirrel literally just jumped out of the tree into the air and out on to the ground! Probably 15-20foot up and he just supermanned it! Hit the ground running.... he gone!

Never seen one do that, but desperate times call for drastic measures!

As mentioned - PRS Chassis for Red Wolf. Slightly Used, but in excellent condition.

I love my cheap magnum break barrel .22, but it's ridonculously big (48" ; 50"plus with buck rail moderator screwed on) for my little Nissan farm pickup.

I would like around 20ft lbs, 40" or shorter and around $200 or even less.

I'm tempted to try the Crosman 362 or 3622, though they seem a bit light in power....attractively small and cheap.

Also attracted by the P-Rod though it's a bit more pricey...I've never had an airgun with a magazine. Sounds fun.

I can go PCP, pumper or springer...I like them all for different reasons. Also was looking at a cheap, Hatsan Air-tact break barrel.

(Isn't it amazing how much time one can spend on this site educating one's self before making a $200 decision? I probably could have spent that same time simply working to earn more and make it a $500 decision... But that would be less fun.)

I am having issues with the valve on top of my Airhog fiber tank. I can't seem to be able to call them.
Just wondering if they are still in business?

Up for sale today is a flawlessly clean Edgun Leshiy 2 REPR. It’s a 25 caliber with a 350 mm barrel. These things are going for about $2500 now as I’m sure most of you well know. Looking for $1800 shipped. Only trade I would consider would be a GK1 Shorty. I’d even throw in a mini 300 bar Edgun gauge and an unfinished walnut grip as shown in pictures.

I’m trying to decide between the Hawke Sidewinder 4-16x50 FFP or Arken EPL4 4-16x44 FFP?

I have a Athlon HERAS SPR 2-12×42 and it’s ok, has some CA and is not as bright or crisp as my Hawke Airmax 4-12x40 AO on my TX200, which was a surprise.

Any info/experience would be welcome and thanks.

Excellent condition Air Arms XTi-50. Used this last Field Target season in Ohio and at the World WFTF Championship this year in Arizona. Rifle shoots excellent with no problems whatsoever. Includes everything that was included from the factory, rifle,butthook,integral knee riser,scope riser, windicator/level, air stripper and adjustable palm shelf. Great package with everything you need if shooting WFTF.

This rifle shoots great and shot my personal best 59/60 with it as well as a 20th finish in this year's worlds. Would like to do a face to face transaction if possible but can discuss shipping options. I have bought and sold many items on here through the years and well known in the Ohio Field Target community. Would love to have a conversation regarding the rifle if you have any concerns.

A few years ago, I stumbled upon a walnut stocked .177 Pro Elite. A bit of research shows it is one of ~20 ever produced; I was shocked! Today I received my second walnut .177 Pro Elite!! The tiger stripes on this one are very nice, and both the stock and action are in EXCELLENT condition. The scope came with it and appears to be an SWFA 20x?

I have a carbon fiber sleeve for just in case I have to remove the barrel and not install the orings. Do you think it will help my Mavericks accuracy shooting the 25.4 MRD @ 940?

Any tips for installing the liner/sleeve? I just don’t know how tight to make the barrel nut. Thanks

This came off another post I read dealing with terminal effects on game from different caliber at modest power levels. As with many of these threads, is super easy to trail off on specific instances of power and caliber applications. One member I respect, L.leon is a huge proponent of modest power, mostly 22 cal and its evident effectiveness at dispatching critters at good range. I tend to favor bigger caliber with higher power especially with durable critters like raccoons. I feel more confident with the extra margin of error it affords me to ensure ethical kills. Now, is a 30 cal slug gun necessary for squirrel or bird? No, of course not. Plus the danger of pass through or miss must be appreciated. Would I shoot a raccoon at 80 yards with a 177 or 22 cal pellet at sub 12 or even sub 20 FPE? I’m sure a vitals hit would succeed, but I’m sure not comfortable trying that. I guess the debate is what is really needed for a task, with exceptions always occurring. Or using overkill and risking collateral damage. This is the balance we all seek.
For the post to be the most beneficial, responses should try to stay objective. We all have had “exceptions “ but they’re really not the norm. It’s too easy for the thread to trail off into the weeds.
