Might be old news on 2022 tax law but just in case...

I think this topic may have been discussed before but in case everyone is not already aware. I wanted to inform members selling their used items or labor services, starting this year the Federal Govt. required companies like Ebay, Amazon, Paypal, Venmo, etc. to send 1099-K tax forms to anyone that receives more than $600 for the year. This amount used to be $20,000 mainly intended for smaller or side businesses but now the government has lumped in individual transactions.

Basically means that when selling your used airguns, accessories, or anything for that matter exceeding $600 for the year, you will be sent a 1099-K during tax time next year. A few instances you don't get a 1099-K is an in-person cash transaction, Paypal F&F, personal check or money order.

It's unfair that you are paying income tax on items you paid sales tax on when purchased new even if you are selling at a loss. There is supposedly an effort to have this legislation reversed back to the way it was before but for now unless you can prove that you paid more than you sold for, you will owe income tax on payments received for goods or services. If you have receipts for everything you sell, you can avoid having to pay the income tax. Unfortunately it's more time wasted doing tax paperwork.

Couple links below with more detailed info on the tax law.

SOLD *** SOLD *** Crown MkII .30 cal, 600mm Barrel, Right Hand Green GRS Stock

**** SOLD **** Gun #2 in my 'I've Got Too Many .30 cal Rifles' sales event is a Crown MkII with a 600mm barrel in a right hand green GRS stock. I purchased this rifle new from PA on 10/25/21, so it still has over 2 years of transferrable warranty left. Copy of purchase receipt will be provided with the gun.

It comes with an FX magazine, a CARM single shot loader and an OEM FX 'empty can' on the muzzle (as shown in the photos). Once again, I really only shot this gun single loaded. No issues with this very clean (nearly LNIB) gun. I have never felt the need for any additional sound moderation on this rifle when shooting in my back yard.

I just shot it this afternoon in light, pretty consistent winds. Once again the gun can outshoot me, but I liked those 5 shot groups just fine, and they were they were pretty casually shot. The gun's reg is still set as received from FX. The only 'tuning' that I have done is adding about 1/2 a turn to the hammer spring fine adjustment. Currently shooting 44.75's accurately at ~872 fps at the muzzle.

I'm asking $1,675 shipped (CONUS) for this rifle, via PayPal 'Friends'. Scope and rings shown in the photos below are NOT included. Will ship in its OEM FX hard case, with an outer corrugated box.

NOTES:
1) Gun will go NLA by next Thursday if not sold. I will be heading up to the big range for a couple of weeks for a Regional level Cowboy shoot, and will not be able to access the net or do packaging/shipping of sold guns.
2) I will likely attend at least part of the West Coast AAFTA GP match at the same (SLOSA) range near Morro Bay, Aug 19-21. So if someone wants to 'try before they buy' that can be arranged. It will also allow me to give a $50 discount off the price since I would not have to pay to pack and ship it.

Any questions please work through the AGN PM system.

Thanks,
Tom

(I hope that my new photo backgrounds are interesting and working out to still show off the gun!)

NLA Air Force Condor SS .25 almost free

As you might imagine there has been a lot of response to this add, so it looks like it is most likely no longer available.

I have an Condor SS in .25 that I got years ago, my first PCP. Now that I have a number of repeater airguns I no longer shoot it, haven’t for several years. I want to basically give it away, charge a nominal fee $100, to cover my troubles in shipping it, and buyer cover shipping charges. My intent is that this goes to someone that is just getting into PCP’s and/or does not have the funds for a pretty nice PCP. I do not have the ability to check that the “buyer” has need of a almost free gun, but I ask please don’t not take advantage of me and “buy” this gun if you already have nice PCP’s or can afford to buy one at full price. Also do not buy this with the intent of selling it for a profit. This was a very good shooting gun I have multiple time taken Starlings at 100 yards with it, it should still be a great shooter, but does need a little love. My girlfriend had a cat that decided it needed to be pee’d on (had it in a closet), cat is lucky it didn’t end up on the business end of the gun, so anyway there is a little runts but I am sure it will clean up and I lost the trigger shoe. I did put a lot into cool stock as you can see in the picture, adjustable top hat, heavier upgraded hammer, maybe super seer (can’t remember). I basically did all I could to upgrade it. The scope will come with it. You can see in the picture it is sitting at 3000 psi after years of non use, so apparently it holds air. Again Please allow this gun to go to someone who could not otherwise have a pretty nice PCP.

SOLD *** SOLD *** RAW HM1000x LRT .30 cal/Pre-AF, Black Laminate

I've currently got too many .30 cal guns, so I'm going to put some up for sale starting with this RAW. This was a pre-AF gun which I bought used from AoA last year. It utilizes the narrower magazines of the original RAWs. Comes with 1 magazine and 2 CARM single shot loaders (to be honest, I've only ever shot this gun single loading), Excellent trigger, exquisite smooth action. Unfortunately during one trip with FedEx the gun's original stock was broken so the black laminate RAW LRT stock currently on the gun is more modern than the gun itself.

The shroud/moderator is OEM and a previous owner had Ken Hicks at SPAW terminate the shroud in a threaded adapter (M18x1, I believe). I think that they wanted to play with different barrel end weights/mods for harmonics.

I've never had any issues with the gun, holds air fine, etc. Last time I chrony'd it it was shooting 44.75's at 879 fps at the muzzle. My notes also state that the gun is very accurate with NSA 43.8's with no change to the hammer spring tension (the NSA's were flying at only 864 fps). This accuracy testing was done at 50 yards.

I took the gun out this morning in a little mild wind. Zeroed it and shot a couple of groups. I am calling a Mulligan on the first shot of my second group - a wind gust hit me in the cheek as I was releasing the trigger and it threw my concentration off. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. I followed with 5 more shots, so both groups are 5 shots each, generally with the first 3 in the same hole and the shooter not being able to maintain concentration/form for the last 2.

I'm asking $1,575 for the gun, shipped (CONUS) and paid via PP 'Friends'. Scope and rings shown in the pics below are not included at the listed price.

NOTES:
1) Gun will go NLA by next Thursday if not sold. I will be heading up to the big range for a couple of weeks for a Regional level Cowboy shoot, and will not be able to access the net or do packaging/shipping of sold guns.
2) I will likely attend at least part of the West Coast AAFTA GP match at the same (SLOSA) range near Morro Bay, Aug 19-2. So if someone wants to 'try before they buy' that can be arranged. It will also allow me to give a $50 discount off the gun since I would not have to pay to pack and ship it.

Any questions please work through the AGN PM system.

A very interesting finding... Very!!

Very close to my house there is a ground field where I can shot up to 300 yards and being able to see exactly where I hit.

I have confirmed and re-confirmed that my Daystate Renegade HP NON regulated is much more consistent at over 190-230 yards than my Woverine HP HR, both with JSB 34 grain 25 Cal.

This is contraintuitive!!. The Woverine has a Huma Regulator inside and a big omega bottle and the Renegade just has a cilinder of 300 cc.

Variation in accuracy at long dstance is substancial among the two rifles !!!

I have been thinking for an explanation.... A lot!

The only thing that can make a lógical explanation is that at that distance is visible the difference in release of air made by a mechanical hit of the hammer to open the valve in the Woverine vs. the electronic release that the selenoid make shot after shot, with absolute precision.

I have seen the difference so many times that I can confirm that the difference is absolutely real !!

If someone has a better explanation, I will be happy to hear it.

Target design Attaboy!

Goes out to ThomasT! After seeing him post up some targets he designed on this thread- https://www.airgunnation.com/threads/bench-rest-8-x-8-competition-target.1269325/

3C8C51C5-0D0C-48CD-825C-C0263971E9ED.jpeg

I reached out to him to tweak on a target a member had shared with me(DAVELARSEN). I believe it was an original 50 yard partial target download from Thomasair.

Anyway, I requested correct numbering, and sighters both at bottom row and right side. The reason for this is I want to see while practicing while using a windflag, how shots must be corrected as you move up the row. I’ve learned just because you’re in the bulls in the bottom two rows doesn’t mean it’ll remain constant as you work up to the upper horizontal rows, and vice versa.

Anyway, Thomas did an awesome job, and a big thank you to him! I’ll be using these at a 100, also

SOLD Taipan Veteran Long .25, green laminate (SPF)

Taipan Veteran Long in excellent condition. Shooting 33.95 JSB at 905.
Power plenum, digital manometer, DonnyFL Tanto, 8-mag holder, 5 magazines, custom cocking knob by mtnghostgunner.
Purchased this from CTairgunner1288 not long ago- one last attempt to get along with a bullpup design. It's everything the Taipan proponents say- accurate, powerful, great trigger etc. I'm just throwing in the towel on bullpups, cannot handle them well standing offhand, which is how I shoot ~85% of the time.

CTairgunner1288 did an excellent write up on the rifle here:

Will be happy to answer any questions you have, just PM me- can send you my number if you prefer to discuss by text or phone call.

$1250 shipped, CONUS only. PayPal or money order. Not interested in trading at this time.

SOLD Meticulously tuned .177 Weihrauch HW80

Every fall, I purchase several spring rifles and get myself through the winter months by tuning them. Then I typically offer them for sale for the exact cost I have in them.

Offered for sale is a Weihrauch HW80 in .177, that has had the trigger completely worked over with all parts hand polished and adjusted, all powerplant components hand polished, and a new Vortek PG4-HO stainless spring kit and Vortek vacuum seal installed. As indicated by the enclosed pre-tune and post tune statistics, I was able to take the performance of this rifle from +1/2" at 18 yards to a 10 shot group average of only .34" with the AA 8.4 gr pellets.

The rifle has been shot very little and is ready to go. The only unfortunate encounter is that while on my bench, I accidentally allowed it to roll over on its side on a couple of screw heads, and marked the right side of the stock. I have filled the indentations but have not taken the time to find the exact stain match. These are visible in the accompanying photos.

AOA has this gun on sale currently at $549. I am offering it, shipped within the continental US, in the original packaging, for $500 net, including shipping, with no cost to you for all of tuning work and the Vortek components, as an offset to the minor stock dings previously mentioned. PayPal F&F or add 3%.

The original spring has been discarded and is not included - shown below for comparison purposes only.

All of the tuning info and photos of the rifle are as found below.

JSB Monster Redesigned .177 cal comparison

Hello everyone,

Received four tins of the JSB Monster Redesigned 13.43gr .177 cal pellets in yesterday and got to shoot a lot of targets this morning. I used my FX Crown MK II and shot all the targets at 30-yards. I first shot one magazine ( 22 shots ) at a test target using the original JSB Monster 13.43 because this is the pellets that I have found to shoot the best with this rifle. I then shot a second magazine at a test target using the new JSB Monster Redesigned 13.43gr and did a small amount of adjustment to the scope. Next I shot a #177 target ( first photo ) and scored a 189 and made just two single click adjustments to the scope, one for elevation and one for windage. Next I shot two 30 Yard Challenge targets and scored 198 and a 200 ( second photo ) and will post this 200 over on the 30-Yard Challenge thread. Several things came to my attention after reviewing all of the targets, 1) the Redesigned shot as good and I believe just a bit better than the Original, ( I will need to shoot more to have a fair evaluation ), and 2) and most important, please note not one single flier on either card. The miss shots, I have to contribute to my error, or at least a portion. I am very pleased with these new pellets will do more comparison testing against the Original style.

Have a great day,
ThomasT

Week 4 begins now and ends July 31st.
