New to PCP - SCBA tank vs. compressor for initial investment?

Hey all, I'm new to the forum and to the PCP world. I've decided to jump into the PCP world, and my wallet is screaming at me. Totally, blowing my budget, LOL!

I'd like some advice on what you would invest in first, if you were starting over with nothing? Compressor? SCBA? Hand-pump? Other?? Value for money is what I'm looking for... I don't mind spending a bit more if it's actually worth it. I'm middle-aged, but in pretty good shape, and I'd be filling a 300cc bottle to 250 bar.

Thanks in advance!

The new Ataman AP-16C

Thought that would grab your attention. What a clickbait title, huh?

I'm just a little bit excited as I got the stock in yesterday and have had a bit of time to get my AP-16 .22 Standard setup as a pistol carbine. I'm sure everyone is familiar with the Ataman AP-16 being one of the two best non 10m match PCP pistols out there right now, alongside the HW44. I really love the Compact, but the Standard is a bit long for offhand shooting and I'm a sucker a nice pistol carbine.

This setup feels really great for offhand shooting. I haven't figured out the best way to mount the scope yet as the dovetail rail doesn't extend behind the magazine. Maybe it doesn't matter as this setup isn't going to get knocked around.

Slow regulator recovery on Maverick

I have a problem with Fx Maverick Sniper which is more of a crunch.
1. Regulator 150 Bar
2. Regulator 110 Bar
The manometer, which drops to 100 Bar in 2-3 shots, reaches 110 bar in a very long time. Affects projectile velocity.
The rifle hasn't even fired a new 100 shots yet.
Does the regulator recover as the number of shots increases or is there a problem?

800 mm barrel 25 cal impact velocities

I installed a 800 mm barrel tungsten hammer and opened up the ports on the valve and block non power block impact M3 I maxed out the front reg didn't have a way to bypass it here and set the rear to 180bar 250 bar fill 44 gr h&n slugs running 1000 fps for about 25 shots the last 4 drop down to 990 power wheel on 8 and micro on 4 valve up front opened up all the way and a slug probe should I be getting more velocity or shots it's 250 bar 580 cc tank or maybe I need to open the block up some more ?

SOLD AEA M50

I have a Bintac B&W M50 for sale (.495 caliber) for $600 shipping included. I have only shot this gun once where I put about about 50 rounds through it. Seems to work fine. I need to part with it to pay some bills with Christmas season coming around. Nothing wrong with it. I have the original box and it is still under warranty with Bintac LLC. Scope not included. I also have about 50 rounds of Mr. Hollowpoint .495 caliber slugs I'll throw in with the deal. Comes with two 6-round mags and a fill probe. I will ship with a tracking number to you.

.177 Weihrauch HW100 Performance and Maintenance Review

I purchased this rifle from AOA in March of 2021. It is the full length version, and obviously features the sporter stock configuration.

This would be an excellent "heirloom" rifle for someone new that is thinking about purchasing a quality pcp. Built in typical german fashion, there is absolutely not much for one not to like. The magazine system is flawless, simple, durable, and as easy to load as any on the market. It is absolutely the most quiet rifle in my collection. The adjustable trigger is perfect

One small issue is that the magazine slot is so narrow, that a Patch Worm won't fit in it and make the turn. I resorted to cleaning the barrel utilizing a half mag of felt cleaning pellets.

A couple of the stock screws moved slightly when checked. The scope screws were all at the proper tension when checked, so I moved to the indoor test range, following up outside at 52 yards with a group just to be certain the results were within a reasonable anticipated outcome, given the reported 8 mph crosswind conditions.

This is certainly a rifle that can be passed down for many generations.

NLA WTS: Feinwerkbau 124 Sport

Up for sale is an Feinwerkbau Sport 124 in .177 with a Maccari laminate stock. It is a beautiful rifle in excellent condition. I was looking to buy either this rifle or a new HW95. Mike Melick told me to grab this rifle as fast as I could. lol

It is a nice rifle but I never got into it. I have put about two dozen pellets through it. Velocities are 732, 733, 739, 737, 739 with Air Arms 8.4 grain Diabolo Field pellets. I remember it not being as smooth shooting as my Air Arms Pro Sport and I wasn't fond of the trigger. But I also fell into the deep end with pcp rifles around the time I bought this rifle and I really didn't give this rifle a fair shake.

I am looking to get $525 plus 1/2 shipping, insurance via Paypal. If you elect to pay via goods and services please add the fees. Continental U.S. only. In case my pricing is way off, I will entertain reasonable offers. Low ball offers will be ignored.

Thanks,

Taso

NLA WTS: Air Arms Pro Sport .177 Beech

Up for sale is an Air Arms Pro Sport in .177 caliber with beech stock. I bought the rifle new from Pyramyd Air. I immediately installed an Air rifle Headquarters "TX200 MK3 - Maccari MK3-5-Pro Sport Kit-FAC" tune kit. The rifle shoots like a dream. Currently shooting Air Arms Diabolo Field Heavy 10.3 grain pellets: 687, 690, 685, 690, 687 fps.

The rifle is in excellent condition save where my XS28 loose barrel fell off my table and scraped up stock by the pistol grip on the left side. I only mounted one scope to the rifle so the metal work is almost mint except for one tiny circular spot. I don't know if the rifle came like that from the factory. I don't recall how I could have caused it.

The only reason I am selling is because I have less time to shoot and when I do I grab my Air Wolf. So I will be listing all of my rifles that are sitting unused.

I am looking to get $750 plus 1/2 shipping and insurance via Paypal. If you elect to pay via goods and services please add the fees. Continental U.S. only. In case my pricing is way off, I will entertain reasonable offers. Low ball offers will be ignored.

Thanks,

Taso

Reality check needed, please

Hello members
I'd like a reality check regarding whether I should leave negative feedback in a member's profile.
Here is why
This morning I found a classified for a gun I wanted to buy.
I Emailed the seller & set up a phone call.
I asked a few questions, but more importantly felt that the seller was OK
The conversation was cordial
I made a very reasonable offer and promised immediate PayPal payment (including fees)
He agreed
Then, the moment I had finished sending the money in came a text telling me he had accepted a full price offer.

He, of course, refunded the $ and the fees.
But that's not the point

I consider his behavior highly unethical and would like to say so in feedback

Thoughts please!
Ed
