250 vs 300 bottle and shot count

I think I must be misunderstanding something. Would a 300 bar (working pressure) 300 cc bottle give you more shots than a 250 bar (working pressure) 300 cc bottle? If I'm correct, Where can I get a 300 bar (working pressure) FX compatible bottle with latest valve?
Your thoughts are welcome. (1st. reg set at 150 bar) .30 M3 Compact.
Thanks,
Hunter Roark

Airguns in Movies

I was thinking we never see airguns in movies.
Yesterday I happened upon a movie “ The Predator “ a Fairly recent movie …. Not very good unless you consider it a satire of sorts.

In it I’m sure I saw an Airforce Condor in white as a tranquiler gun. I ll provide a picture shortly.

Anyone else for a Movie with an airgun in it

( Christmas Story is a given )

New to FX.. Need some help from the fanstas

I'm trying to figure out via photos and the written word some of this Dreamline specific stuff. Increasing power. Which Pellet probes for increased airflow? (pellet and slug probe = huma or pin probe?) I see dual transfer port which seems like a good idea. And then a tuning spring? I'm opting for the .25 and want to be at at least 50 fpe with some air to spare.. FX folks.. please educate me on what these rifles like and don't like if you will?

  • Question
FX Impact velocity drop

So a friend handed my Impact back to me. I asked if it was cocked and he said no so I cocked it and fired it. Nothing came out as it was plugged with 2 NSA 28.5 grain slugs. Bent slightly the probe. Pulled the barrel and replaced the liner and installed the original probe good so far. Upon resuming shooting over the crono I was now getting about 200 fps less velocity 960 down to 760. Tried a few things, now at 805 and that's it. Any one experience similar situation?

Thanks!

WHAT'S THE WORST "What's the Best " QUESTION?

My turn to RANT! I'm so tired of seeing these "What's the Best " questions! There is/are NO BEST! There are simply too many variables to answer a SUBJECTIVE question with a QUANTITATIVE answer!!! All of these "What's the Best "questions ridiculously waste time as the answers depend on situational application, shooter's acumen, style preference, etc, etc, etc. I get that the inexperienced are looking for the quickest/cheapest route to the perfection they're seeking but are DEPRIVING themselves of the invaluable learning experience of getting to intimately know their gun's capabilities & quirks as well as their own. Besides, two exact same rifles might perform completely differently in the same situation. Just one the idiosyncrasies of airguns that we had to learn through the school of hard knocks & personal experience. So, WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO GAIN EXPERIENCE? Trial/Error/Cost of Pellets & Mental & Physical labor, THAT'S my answer. Wish people would EMBRACE the labor, cost, & trial & error of this activity as to gain the INVALUABLE personal knowledge/experience that they'll be rewarded with instead of looking for the EASY WAY & ANSWERS. Besides, the answers you get probably won't work for you anyway! It's not the DESTINATION, it's the JOURNEY to it that provides the KNOWLEDGE!!! Good Luck to all on this journey.

What caliber should I get next?

Experienced powder-arms and springer shooter getting into PCP here.

I have dipped my toe, deeper than I'd really wanted to go, into PCP rifles by picking up a pair of Huben K1's in .22 and .25. They are awesome in my opinion, with the .22 set up for rodents and the .25 set up for longer range and larger targets/game. Both are amazingly powerful and accurate field guns that have been completely drama free over 1000 pellets, combined, so far.

I've always been a precision junkie and am looking for my next gun/caliber. The first question is "What will you be using the gun for?" and I cannot really answer this. Part of me wants a super precise 100 yard shooter in .30 or larger and I am looking at the new Ghost HP as a candidate, for example. (But I don't know if there is an intrinsically more-accurate caliber at subsonic velocities and would appreciate advice here).

I am drawn to the .30. This is because my best shooting (with non-air rifles) out to 500 yards has been in .308, but I'm completely open to data/opinions/experience!

What does everyone here think? Rabidus Hobbius has struck!

Help me pick a quality air rifle (new member)

Hey, new guy here from Texas. I'm new to this forum but am on a couple other fishing and hunting forums. I need help choosing which pellet gun/air rifle to get. I've got an old school Benjamin and Crossman pump but I need something more powerful and with more range. I dont know anything about the higher end air rifles so really hoping yall can help me out.

I need it to be able to take coons, possums, armadillos, squirrels and possibly (??) coyotes. I live on about 8 acres and have a deer feeder at the back on a creek. I don't hunt these deer, we just like having them around. The coons are robbing my corn every night. I do trap some but dont like having to walk down there in the morning before work to dispatch them. I also see coyotes from time to time and had to run a couple of them off from my chicken coop up near the house last week. A .22 rimfire is not an option because of neighbors on one side of me, and the .22 low velo rounds dont have enough range.

I'm sure there are a bunch of options and no "one size fits all", but can yall recommend some air rifles for me to look into that would suit my needs? I'd prefer something simple, accurate out to at least 50 yds, easy to use and not too bulky. Repeatable rather than single shot although not a deal breaker. I'll probably mount my Sightmark Wraith Mini to this gun so I can hunt the coons at night with my kids. Not really sure on budget but I'll spend some money on a cool new toy.... ; ) Let's say keep it under $1k. Also if it makes a difference, I'd rather have too much gun and not need it rather than the other way around.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I find this curious?

Recently, I've had a couple forum members "like" my sale ads in the classifieds. Why? Seems a bit odd. I know the asking prices are real good, but if you like it that much , how about buying? LOL! Really no big deal , I was just curious because this seems to be a recent trend.

  • Question
Any other guns tunable as or a little less than FX airguns

I have been asking these questions because I want to buy a air rifle next summer for hunting. I live in Idaho so plenty of small game. My main targets would be nothing a whole lot bigger than a raccoon. The quarry will mostly be pest birds, grouse, squrriels, and rabbits. My budget is $1500 for the gun but I will go up to $2000 if necessary. Although that is for the gun and upgrades. Any good alternatives to FX guns for tuning, accuracy, power, quietness, lightness, and good shot counts. The range I am going to be shooting is 20-100 yards with a couple in the 125 yard range. The two calibers I am looking at are .22 and .25. the power range is 14-16 fpe all the way to 55-65+ fpe. That high for the .25. More of 45-55 fpe for .22. Also a scope suggestion would be good as well. I mostly shoot with MOA scopes and I want it to have a clean reticle. My scope budget is $500 dollars but if I get the gun for less I am putting a bit more into the scope. The compressor I picked out is the one on Mountain Sport Airguns. The detachable lithium ion batteries.

  • Question
What is some of the best hunting ammo?

This poll is to ask a very hard question to answer. What are some of the best hunting pellets and slugs for airgunning? The best short range pellet, the best mid-range pellet, and the best long range pellet. Also the best slug for medium rang and the best long range slug. Then the best pellet for all the ranges. Short through long range. For this poll all pellets and slugs will be in .25 caliber. The gun would be a Uragan 2 just for the example. The Target animal species will be birds. Pigeons and bigger. All the way up to grouse or a similar sized bird. Lastly no 100% answer for this question.
