I just bought a compressor on sale and didn't really look at it much but it says on it that you should only fill up too 500cc bottles. Could I fill a 580 or will it over heat and break?

So my entry to the world of PCP began with a couple months of research before finding the forum here, tons of great info and some very helpful folks here and Im so grateful for that. I ended up staying with my original and most researched choice, the FX Impact M4, the Copper color in .22 cal. Kind of a "damn the torpedoes, full steam ahead" moment, despite the negatives Ive read about here. Im happy to say that my particular M4 seems to be just fine. Shout out to the fellas at The Pellet Shop, the rifle arrived fast, charged to 260 BAR, and fully tuned to my choice of pellets. They also threw in a free t-shirt, pellet saver band, and a bag of Twizzlers. I mounted an Athlon Midas Tac 6-24x50 scope with MOA reticle and 30 mm tube, great combo!

Im shooting JSB 18.13 pellets. Reg, came set at 110, 15 on macro, micro set a shade over 2.5, Valve adjuster shoes what looks to be about 4.5 lines. This morning my Magneto speed V3 chrony showed a high of 915 low of 908, avg 911, ES 7, SD 2.8 over a string of 10 shots. With all the rain my shooting has been limited to out the bedroom window at distances varying from 20-35 yards, but let me tell you this thing is impressive. with a lull in the rain yesterday i was literally smashing flies at 20 yards. the giggle factor was off the charts.

I recieved the M4 on the 1st, as I stated the reg was set to 110, over the first 24 hours it dropped to 105 but has been rock steady there for 3 days now, assuming the drop was temperature related since my house is quite cool. The bottle pressure dropped to 255 as well. I dont see this as an issue, i expected things to settle a bit. My first refill came after the first 175 shots, bottle pressure was 145, figured filling early would avoid loss of performance. So far Im happy as a clam, great looking rifle that doubles as a fly swatter, no apparent issues. Hopefully the weather clears soon so I can stretch out the distance.

Going down a different route. Really nice scope. Cool reticle. Can’t be beat for the price in a compact scope; comparable to that new VUDU 3-9x32 scope but much cheaper. Like new and I never used it. Ships in original box.

So having just gotten a Mutant i know mags are very hard to come by being a discontinued gun. Decided to do a search and found some on Ebay. Had both Mutant and Veteran mags. I had 2 with my Mutant and 3 with my Veteran but wanted to have 4 each. Tried 2 of the Mutant and 1 Veteran. Paired with 3 mag holders I have 3 ready to go with one in the gun at all times. They work very good. The Mutant mags are only 10 rounds vs the 12 on the standard mags but I'm assuming it's so they aren't so fragile. Here's where I found them if others are interested. Also has mags with a stop part so you know when the mag is empty. Having owned Taipans for years I can feel when they are empty but I'm sure others might like them.

On a previous post I noted I upgraded my hammer to 8.5g humma air hammer.

My reg was at 135 and and was achieving 950fps with zans 37gr. This worked fine for speed but accuracy was just ok.so I looked for a better tune. After some correspondence from zan they said I should be shooting them at 985-1010. So I upped my reg up get to these speeds.

However in both my tunes I found the tune ability with the macro was negligible. For example tonight when my reg was back to 135 I was getting 965fps with my macro on 16. I turned the macro gradually to 4 and there was only 3fps decrease.( I’m confused)

The only way I could get any noticeable drop or increase in speed was using my valve adjustment but that’s not the way to tune according to countless videos on YouTube that iv watched

I presume im doing something wrong if my macros isn’t having much of an effect.

Is my hammer too heavy ? Should I use 7.5g or revert back to 6.5g

Any advice ?

13-15gr VK slugs perform very well too.

I've always admired the Daystate Red Wolf. I know it has been eclipsed by new models....Grey Wolf, Black Wolf, etc., but I love the classic lines and I'm intrigued by the electronic tuning.

What are your thoughts regarding purchasing a used Red Wolf? Any pitfalls to avoid or concerns to address?

Up for sale is a beautiful AGT Uragan in .30.
This was King model first generation when I bought it but I hated the dual bottles and the huge useless shroud. So I ordered a new regular shroud ($180), took off the second bottle and added the aluminum handguard (another 180$). This Uragan has been trouble free since the day I got it new from the awesome guys at AoA. It’s currently sending the 44gr JSB at around 907-910 fps, The 50grn pellets sends at about 865-870 and it’s pellet on pellet at 25 yards. It also shoots the NSA 47gr Slugs really well and has instantly turned the lights off for a few coyotes, foxes, etc…..

Absolutely nothing wrong with the gun. As many of you know I no longer live in Arizona so I don’t have time or places to shoot as much as I used to. For that reason I’m only keeping 3 Airguns. The rifle comes in the factory cardboard box with 2 magazines, user manual and fill probe. It does have an EagleVision 1/2 unf thread adapter so you can use your favorite moderator, if you want. For the power this gun produces, I think it’s not loud at all. Scope and rings not included.

A new Uragan 3 will run you 2000 from Talon and you have to roll the dice on whether he’ll ship your gun right away or make you wait forever and ignore your calls. (yep, I’ve been there myself).

Selling for my buddy as he no longer uses it. Given that we have newer rifles, it works flawlessly and shoot 33gr VK slugs at 850fps, 25.39gr at 960fps and polymags at 950fps.

Polymags are going a little bit too fast, but I decided to shoot them just to see check the speed.

It loves 25.39gr jsb and 33.94gr mk2 jsb. They'd also does extremely well with hades and Apolo slugs.

Also it has a half by twenty thread that was pressed by Charlie frear.

So finally after installing the Total War Tactical butt stock which needs a little customization for my personal comfort of being lower than their cheek weld allows,I’m so much happier with this setup to get that pad where it needs to be.

And the Element 14x50 immersive scope doesn’t work for me and so it’s going back.

The eye relief on my 6-24x50 actually works so much better now with the different pad location.

So back to several mags today and on the Garmin I’m getting consistent 890’s with jsb 33.95’s

One thing I noticed was in the 150 bar range fps started climbing to around 905-910 and I quit after probably 5-10 shots of this.
Is this normal?
This thing is consistent at 40 yards of dime size groups or less!
