Anyone heard from Douger the Arken man? I remember him from pushing Arken scopes and typing in all CAPS. A while back someone mentioned that he had some health problems.

For sale I have a gently used FX Impact M3 Sniper in 25 caliber. Bought in October of last year from the pellet shop. It has been an excellent shooter, much more accurate than I am physically able to shoot. Shot a few tins of pellets through it the first few months of ownership, but has not been shot much in the last several months. I would prefer to sell as a package deal. Everything is in excellent shape with one minor exception. My puppy chewed the handle of the carrying/storage case, as shown in photo.

You might be aware that I had a Delta Wolf of a friend. It had a bad barrel.

A few days ago I posted here that I plan to increase the choke.

Please see below the pic of the pellet pushed through the barrel. It shows a bad land in the barrel causing inaccuracy. Sorry for my dirty fingers.


All other lands leave the impression as shown in following pic.




I understand that the inaccuracy is due to one bad land.

Before going to increase the choke of the barrel, I decided to polish the barrel a bit aggressively with JB Bore Compound.

Used a very ordinary method. Put brass rod in a hand drill and on the other end put a barrel polishing cloth, applied JB and gradually polished the barrel while rotating the brass rod with drill machine.

I did gradual polish, more polished the breach area, then a bit less next area and so on and so forth.

Also polished the choke but minimum as compared to the rest of the barrel.

Cleaned the barrel and pushed a pellet through the barrel. The pellet came out in much better shape.

Installed the barrel on the gun and found that accuracy had been improved very much.

Un Installed the barrel and repeated the whole process again.

Now the pushed pellet through the barrel came out a bit loose but in much better shape.

Impression of all lands was there but no land was damaging the pellet now.

Again Installed the barrel on gun. Now it's shooting very very well at shot range of 24 yards.

I shall try it on longer ranges to conclude if it has been completely fixed or needs some more work.

If it needed more work, that will be just polishing the choke and if the choke will get unacceptably loose, I shall develop more choke.

The simple equipment used is here shown in the below pic.




I hope that I shall be completely successful in converting this bad barrel into good barrel.

I was looking up hunting with air in KY and came across this site , an Air Gun shop and club up near Paduka KY . guns , pellets optics ranges (indoor and outside )

As someone who has only owned two proper air weapons (I’m not counting the weird pistol I had as a kid), I’m intrigued particularly by the number of posts I see saying I’ve had 6 or 7 of such and such a rifle. Whether that be a Pulsar, a Red Wolf, a Rapid etc.

I get wanting more air rifles, I’m here aren’t I? I just don’t think I’d go and buy 5 more Rapids.

Obviously it’s different strokes for different folks, I’m just interested in the thought process.

I'm wanting an air shotgun to shoot doves, and maybe ducks, but primarily doves. I know the wing shot can be upgraded with the CAP system. I'd want a wing shot, PBBA 20 or Primal 20 but it has no release date. There are plenty of YouTube videos showing people doing it successfully. Does anyone here shoot doves with an airgun?

What speeds are you guys running? 177 pellets and slugs?

I have a FX Impact Compact MK II & a Wildcat Compact MK III, both in 0.30 Cal ( just love the 0.30 Cal). Both are sub 30". I love them both.

Thing is, I am itching for another compact (less than 30 inches) airgun which gives out more than 80 FPE at 0.30 Cal or higher. Primary use is meant for hunting. Price should be less than $2500.

So, the must have are:

Well I got my .22 Panthera today and a few screws were a little loose. So I tightended a couple and came to the screw #15 that runs through the pic rail and tightened it a bit as it didn't have any resistance on it at all. Then it fell into the gun as I tunre dit in too far. Now I gotta pull some stuff off to get it out. What purpose does this screw do and why would it be loose and then when tightened why would it drop into the airgun?

Hey folks. I'm an airgun enthusiast who has very little shooting experience, and an airgun forum enthusiast who has logged onto AGN every day for three and a half years. I've read with interest stories regarding airgun competitions and which brand of rifle was used by those that took the top spots. Often stated is the question of whether it was the "arrow or the Indian." This got me to wondering how those variables could be accounted for in a competition between top shooters. Please forgive my naivete and let me know if you think my idea has any merit at all. Here goes. I propose a competion of five to 10 competitors shooting rifles at 100 yards, each using the same rifle. Shooters to be chosen from among the high finishers at current large events. Invite all manufacturers to submit one stock rifle, tuned by someone in their company to shoot the projectile of their choice. Maybe have the same scope on each rifle, and also let each manufacturer glean/sort enough projectiles to fully cover sight-ins and competion shooting. Allow each shooter enough time/shots to familiarize themselves with the platform, then on to competition shooting. Repeat for each brand of rifle. I'm sure there are a host of reasons that this idea won't work, but I'm curious what this community thinks. How to score such an event is way above my pay grade, but I would be interested to see who would prevail and which rifle posted the overall highest score. Maybe AGN could sponsor? Also, any attempts to name such a shooting event the Balver Cup are pure conjecture.

I was sitting in the basement watching Bonanaza and this tiny mouse came out of the laundry room. I happened to be sitting next to a table top covered with SSP P17 varieties of pistols. He went back into the laundry room, so I loaded an cocked my newest P17. I didn't expect him to be around when I turned on the lights, but there he was by some spring traps across the room. He was turned toward me when I fired...

was gone... what a vampire mouse. I was sending pictures to my GF about how good of a shot I am and he's nowhere to be seen.
