Really cheap China scopes, worth it?

Well... I have told that some Zasdar cheap scopes, are just china rebrands, and they get some praise (considering the price). we talk about 60/80 buck scopes.

It seems that I found a suspiciously EXACT model that cost 65/70 bucks in my country, for much cheaper in, what else... aliexpress:

Yeah yeah, I know its crap, I know it wont hold zero if I drop it and the optics blablabla... I know man... But I don't own any scope, cuz I'm more of a pistol guy and I like to shoot with open sights, so, for a initiation thingy to just play arround... is it worth it?

The most powerful thing I have is the Huben Gk1, I plan to make it a semy-carbine stock in 3D on the future, scopes takes less hard recoil from pcp, but the Gk1 is fairly powerfull... Im happy if this scope can just hold the zero on mid power recoil.

Umarex  Making a poormans AP16

Since Ataman AP16 is currently not available, my brother had me convert his Umarex Notos shorter, similar to an AP16. I cut the barrel down to 200mm, this allows for internal buffles to be used. I used 3 plastic cones from a marauder. It tunes it down but still a little loud for backyard use. I made a threaded end cap so he can add moderator if desired. The tank I only shorted 30mm and opened up inside of the end cap from 16mm to 22mm to gain back some volume. Shroud was also shortened along with the pic rail. AOL length is 350mm. It's doing 715 f/s with 14.3 CPHP. No loss in accuracy noticed at 32 yards.

Ratting and penetration

Hey all,
I have a question about caliber choice and over penetration when it comes to rats. I know that my HW 110 sending Baracuda match pellets at around 900 fps will zip right through rats at 25 yards and ricochet around off my fence. I also know that my 18 ft/lb Ultra MMC will not usually over penetrate a squirrel when I use Polymags at short distances 9under 30 yards). If I were looking to dump the most energy into a target, while minimizing pass throughs, it seems like the .22 is a better choice. However, I am looking to get a dedicated rat gun (night vision, magazine fed, compact, quiet) that might not love Polymags like my Ultra, so I want something that will dump energy quickly, so that if it does pass through, it will not have enough energy to damage stuff behind it. So, my question for the masses is this: am I better getting a 17-18 ft/lb .22, like the Notos, or should I lean more towards a .177 in the 12-13 ft/lb range, like the Brocock Atomic? Or do you have another suggestion?
Thanks,
Chris

Other  PARD NV008 or PARD NV007V

So I’m looking at alternatives to a Sightmark Wraith as it seems really heavy on my gun. I found a PARD 008 brand new in the box for $400 or best offer or a PARD 007V for $338+? I like the idea of the clip-on as I can use my Athlon which is super nice and just snap on the PARD 007V. But I honestly have no experience with either one? I am heavily leaning towards the NV007 clip-on. Is there any reason to decide on the NV008 over the NV007V? Thanks again for all the awesome advice!

Coyote Airgun?

First things first, greetings. I'm new here. Not new to airguns, although it's been about 13 years since I've stepped foot on an airgun forum.

My friends' neighborhood has a coyote problem. It's not city, but it's not exactly country, either, so firearms are out of the question. I told them I'll ask around about a decent airgun to take them on anywhere from 50-100 yds, figured maybe will buy one for myself. I myself shoot Zbroia Kozak FC (love how it shoots, but I keep having to reseal the check valve) and OG Leshiy. I have a 350mm .25 barrel for Leshiy, but I doubt it's up to the task.

Anyways, what can you guys recommend for the field work, something well built and with enough power and accuracy to take care of the yotes. I've been eyeballing AAA Evol, but I can't swing a brand new one. I'd say my price range is more in line with mid-range FX guns ($1,000-$1,500-ish). My friends price range is $500-$750, if anything decent can be had for that much. Doesn't need to be backyard friendly, but preferably shrouded.

Appreciate the suggestions.

winter shooting

thinking about constructing a winter shooting BOX ? temporary ,maybe a frame with the pink foam insulation 4x8 's , that i can store flat for warmer weather . Let everybody know
if this works out . just an idea right now , best idea so far was the moving pad draped over a table and a small heater but that involves setup and take down all the time .
