Crosman  1701p is excellent

Out of the box, 7.4g CP @477fps with 3fps deviation over 5 pellets, 1/4inch groups at 10m, backyard friendly and a 6oz trigger. I was having so much fun I never did try any other pellet.

Might be the best out of the box gun I have ever shot.

Not sure if I even need to tune it.

I have monster paws, so it could use bigger grips, but hardly a deal breaker.

I highly recommend!!!!

PCP Rifle  NLA WTS/WTT Kalibr Cricket 2 Tactical 45 .22 - New Listing (not the same old repeats).

I've decided to let go of a very nice Kalibrgun Cricket 2 Tactical 45 .22cal. Gun is in very nice condition with no issues other than slight normal signs of use. I purchased this gun a few months ago from an AGN Forum member because it was reasonably priced and I just wanted to see what the Cricket 2 was all about in comparison to my FX Wildcat MK3 BT and Impacts. I wasn't disappointed at all! The gun is extremely accurate and efficient shooting up to 18g pellets at speeds up to 900fps+. It's also very Backyard Friendly especially if you add even a small moderator, it's whisper quiet. The only place it fell short of the FX guns was power above 18g. I like to shoot a variety of pellet weights up to 25g from a small Bullpup and the FX was just easier to tune for that task. Gun comes with six 14 round .22 magazines, three of which are brand new, a brand new Huma Regulator (installed), as well as the factory regulator and an additional 420cc CF bottle (factory 350cc installed on the gun). Also included is a custom Fab Defense Monopod Buttstock which add a little more LOP and monopod for bench shooting (factory Buttstock also included) and a Custom Cheek Riser that makes it much more comfortable to shoot. It's a sweet little gun I know you'll enjoy shooting. Only Trades I'd consider are an Airmaks Krait Compact Bottle gun (Laminate preferred) or an FX Compact Dynamic 500mm. Cash price is $975 shipped (told you it was reasonable for such a nice gun!) PP F&F, or other electronic payments. I'm more than happy to accept calls for questions, DM for contact info. Thanks..

My 1st Coyote of 2024 - Head shot

It wasn't long that 2023 passed us by. I have been fishing a lot the past year but the coyotes keep coming in thick this winter.

This one took NSA 38.5 grain slug 910 fps to the brain at 20 yards. His mistake was hanging out too long and being careless.

At this point, I can say this power level does not usually create an exit wound. The brains and blood get blown out of one ear most of the time. This to me, is my ideal power level for these animals on the brain.

Ran out of adjustment

I am a newbie when it comes to long range air gun shooting. And I recently mounted a new scope and the zero range is around 20m. The scope has 25 MOA adjustment range on the turrets, and I had to adjust it around 13 MOA up at 20m meaning I only have around 10-11 MOA of adjustment left on my elevation turret. And today I decided to use strelok pro for some longer range shooting and found out that to shoot to 70m I have to adjust 11 MOA so that maxed out my elevation turret. Is there anything I can do other than adjustable mount, because I don't want to fiddle with them as I found out in the past that they can be a pain in the arse to get perfect. Any advice from some experts?

FX  FX Impact vs BRK Ghost !!!

Any users having both the guns, Impact and Ghost, please share your comparison with regard to tunability, accuracy, efficiency, trigger, cocking, maintaining POI, magazines and any other things that may be important for the potential buyers who need to decide in favour of either one.

One thing that I see is that Ghost does not provide the fine tunability that Impact fine hammer offers. Further Ghosts's valve is not adjustable while Impact has externally adjustable valve.

Due to the above two additional adjustments, Impact appears to be adjustable in more precision.

While apparently Ghost only offers externally adjustable regulator as adjustable hammer is quite a norm.

Please share your thoughts with pros and cons.

Almost no troubles

Ive purchased over a dozen Hatsans in 2022 and 2023, new and refurbished. I have had trouble with only one, and Hatsan returned and refunded me. I also bought many more airguns from other manufacturers as well. I had to return an Umarex Fusion 2 (inaccurate) which they replaced. The replacement isn't consistently accurate. And my Notos had a slow leak. No other problems. Most of these purchases are refurbished guns.
I think my favorite is my Seneca Eagle Claw Carbine.

BRK Ghost World Record Edition

The Ghost since its introduction 12 months ago, has been incredibly well received and BRK is determined to keep fully up to date as well as keeping it visible to the shooting public.

Winning not one but two world championship titles is an amazing feat, but to set a world record score in the process is an incredible achievement.

And yet that’s exactly what Fady Kiwan did earlier this year at the Benchrest Rimfire and Air Rifle Championships held in Plzen, Czech Republic, where he used the same BRK Ghost across the many disciplines, only changing the barrel length and calibre – one of the rifle’s key design benefits.
To celebrate Fady’s success, BRK has launched a special edition Ghost based on the two-time world championship-winning rifle. The BRK Ghost World Record will be limited to just 250 rifles worldwide.
Based on the Ghost Plus model, the .177 and .22 rifles will have a 430mm barrel and offer both 12 ft/lbs and high-power variants at 18 ft/lbs and 45 ft/lbs respectively (25 and 61J). The Ghost HP model provides the basis for .22, .25 and .30 calibres rifles with barrels of 600mm and, for the first time, 711mm.
With a striking red colour scheme and custom-designed engraving to celebrate world championship wins, the rifle is equipped with top and bottom race ARCA and M-Lok rails for competition use. Other than that, in keeping with Fady’s record-breaking approach, all other features are standard. These include a 20-point power dial; adjustable regulator pressure (export and FAC models); carbon air bottle; moveable Picatinny scope rail, and the ability to accommodate a range of accessories such as adjustable butt pads and single shot loader

N/A  Which one for a Air Force retirement gift?

Okay I retire next year and am asking the wife to surprise me with a PCP. I already have a Benjamin Akela. However, I am going to ask her from one of these and the reason-

AGT Vixen (awesome)

Vulcan 3 700 (power house and accurate)

Kalibrgun Argus 60 (tank!)

BSA R12 CLX Bolt Action Black Pepper Laminates (So accurate it is boring!)

Which one ladies and gentlemen?

Brocock/BRK  Brocock XR Sniper in 22cal... tuning question

I was thinking of tuning my Brocock XR Sniper in 22 to shoot 24gr at 850-890 fps but to do so would have to increase the regulator pressure up and hammer spring or should I leave as is. It's shooting 18.1gr ok but not great. I know brocock says to leave everything as is from the factory but just wondering how many guys tuned there guns to shoot 24gr. Also does the bottle have to degassed or does this have the value in the bottle where you can just unscrew the bottle from the gun????
Thanks

N/A  Feel like toast

In the winter I have a lot more free time to shoot compared to the summer. Problem our winters can go down to 0F. and lower.
Makes a bit of a challenge to shoot comfortably. If a strong North wind comes I retreat into the warmth of the house which is 20 ft. from my shooting bench. Don’t like the wind. This year I bought these, heated vest and pants, talk about sweet. Tried them out.
IMG_7695.jpeg
They work like a charm. Easily shot today for 3 hrs. already and the days not over. I have lites on the range. With the snow it lites up nicely.
IMG_7696.jpeg
Love shooting at nite. Another benefit of shooting with the snow if you miss your shot, easy to see where it went. Can save time and frustration.
I wear gloves with fingers cut on left hand for loading, a problem but manageable. We only had a day drop to 12F. once. No frost in ground.
This is view from bench.

Got a big doe with my Maverick and heavy lead!

I only post when I do something worth posting nowadays, and I know you guys have seen a lot of the hogs I've killed with my Maverick in the past. Getting a deer has always been on the to do list, but I never saw one I wanted to shoot. I've been watching small bucks and does walk all year, but I decided it was finally time to put some deer meat in the freezer with the Maverick with a good doe(since deer season is almost done here).

I was shooting 90 grain Griffin BT HP in .300 around 950fps. Yes, they have to be single loaded, but they load easy. My Maverick is heavily modified to make that power, and I use a 32" TJs 1:16" twist barrel. I had already decided I was going to do a heart shot(for science), opposed to my usual head shot tactics on hogs. I had 7 does show up, and watched them for about 20 minutes so I knew for sure which one was the largest doe. I picked out the biggest in the group and waited for her to step forward with that front leg and let it fly. My gun is very quiet with the functioning carbon shroud and STO Sarissa High Flow on there, but my buddy 400 yards away in a different stand(bowhunting) heard the bullet hit! She did her "donkey kick" and took off into the trees, but I watched her until she disappeared.

After giving her a few minutes, I walked in the direction she went and walked straight to her. She went about 60 yards, and there wasn't a lot of blood. To be honest, I didn't even look for blood. I just headed in the direction she went. I knew the shot was good, because I could literally see the hole appear on her body when I pulled the trigger(thanks Trijicon), lol. She was laying on her side with a little blood dripping from the hole. I flipped her over, and it was a full pass through, so no luck on recovering the slug. The Griffin 90 grain certainly did what it was meant to do though. I have dropped a lot of critters with those Griffins, and I tend to prefer the boattails. Funny bit of the picture is that the deer is on the tailgate of my Ford Maverick with my FX Maverick. I've been waiting a while to do a "Maverick on Maverick" picture, haha. The doe was probably about 135-140lbs. Not the biggest one ever, but definitely not a yearling.

The best part is I will have some pepper jack summer sausage, pepper jack sausage patties, back strap steaks, hamburger meat, and even bologna soon from this one deer! I can taste it already... Oh, and .30 is legal for deer hunting in GA, and I figured I'd give you guys a deer kill that wasn't a bigger bore ;) Thanks for reading!
