Omg I finally screwed my self

Pls help. I have extra parts. So I was tuning my stock reg on my pp700sa I screwed my reg screw all the way in towards the gauge. An I was getting 350 fps but very consistent and many shots. So I thought if I go opposite way towards the trigger that it would increase velocity.

Omg I’m screwed so the reg screw is not flush but out 1.5 threads out. I filled the tank. And when I shot nothing. The valve does not fill with air. No I’m screwed as I cannot empty the tank. How in the world can I remove the air from tank it’s at full psi too? I tried screwing in the reg screw through the hole by trigger but no luck.

Can I drill a tiny hole in tank slowly? Omg not sure what to do.

Looking to stir the pot….

Probably the most common question I see on all the forums and social media platforms (besides what gun should I buy) is the never ending which is better, .177 or .22? And I’m going to throw in .20 cal for all the haters and lovers of the caliber. I think this question mostly comes up with springers and sub 12 PCP’s. Please comment if you think otherwise.

N/A  Someone talk me down...

Ok, technically I'm relatively new to airguns, not counting my Daisy 717 from decades past that still works fine. But I've been on this forum for 2.5 years, wow it's been that long.....anyway, I've got a Sapsan .22 and a couple of Mavericks one of which is a project gun. The VP is a .25 so that base is covered, my project Mac is a .25 sniper, abused by a previous owner, now a .22 Compact and working great. I'm thinking of getting a .17, need one of each flavor right? I honestly don't want to spend another 2 grand on a gun basically because I've got a wee bit of Scottish blood in me and I'm cheap. So, I'm open to suggestions. I'm very familiar with the Mavericks as some know so it would be an easy acquisition, I'd probity get a VP, I like the barrel length and I think it's be suited to a .17. But, I'm not adverse to trying something else, preferable lighter. So...have at it guy/gals.

Oh I should have said, I think for this one I'd like a nice wood stock. I've got plenty of metal guns, my old favorite is a .22 Remington Target my uncle gave me as a lad and my Mrs. Marlin that I refinished the stock on.

The sickness is real !

Now that I have the time (retirement) to spend, I've been looking into the higher end line of springers.
I feel that I deserve a quality Xmas present and believe the Weihrauch line would fit the bill quite nicely.
The only problem - which one?
From incessant watching videos and researching online, I've narrowed my choice down to the HW97KT or HW98.
Arrgh! The sickness has me, I may just get both.

Traditional Pistol  SOLD BEEMAN P1 Anniversary/Catalog Model Magnum .177 Air Pistol.

Interesting P1 with anniversary serial number that I purchased from the original owner. It has never before seen grips without the Beeman emblems or usual stippling pattern and retains the anniversary button screws. It was used as the catalog model for a new Dual tone model in Catalog #17. That was the last catalog before Dr Beeman sold the company. Catalog #18 shows the Dual tone with the usual grips/screws and a normal 3xxxxxx serial number. Includes like new case that was purchased with gun. This is currently on EBay. If anyone here is interested I could take 500.00 or BO + shipping and avoid the EBay charges.

Best Outcome From A Horrible Situation....

This will be a long one so I apologize but want everyone to know. So I am not sure if anyone saw my post back in July when I had my limited edition huben k1 stolen but as many of you who know me I will do what ever I can to help you. I am not rich and we are a one income family as I have been a stay at home dad for almost 7 years now. I have also been with my wife since we were 15 now 35 so this year will be 20 years together now this is important because I have been through many hobbies with her and she said she WILL not fund this one so anything I have bought has been bought with money I have used on other hobbies mainly archery gear, crossbows, pew pews I wasn't using as this hobby has my full attention.

I have accumulated a great collection in the airgun world and I know how hard it can to decide so I have sent out moderators scopes bottles and even some pcps to some more local guys that were on the fence about a purchase or just needed something to take out a pest animal. I have many many friends here and most I talk to on a daily basis and others are the once a week or once a monthers I check on from time to time.

One of the regulars I talked to for over a year reached out and asked if I would be willing to send my huben to him to try before he committed to buying it now I met him here on agn and exchanged numbers and we were talking via text for over a year he bought moderators and scopes from me and I bought a pcp from him. So I asked him how serious he was his response was very he just sold some gear and just wanted to option to try it before he bought it which I get not everyone can drop $2000+ on a airgun and than decide its not for them so I agreed to send it on the terms of if he liked it he would buy it and if he didn't like it he could send it back on his dime as I even paid shipping and added a tin of pellets so he was ready to try it.

I was watching the tracking as was he the day it was to arrive he texts me and says it hasn't arrived and he hopes it does soon because he was excited but had to go to work. I see it was delivered and text him he said he wast home but his son will be home soon. I get a text saying his son got home and the package is no where to be found and my stomach turns into a knot. He responded with let me do some research and see what's going on he said it's no where to be found and he thinks someone may have taken it. Told me that he lives behind a park and baseball field and kids cut through his property. So I said call the police and file a report so it's on file gave him the serial number and everything.

At this point I let my circle of close friends know and they all said he took it but me being me said he didn't as we were friends, well he said he didn't want to call the police just yet because he technically shouldn't be shooting in his backyard and he was close to a school zone NOT my problem man my $2300 huben is now missing please call. This happened on a Friday it took until money for him to provide a online police report with no information of what was stolen serial brand model nothing so I said something his response was the same didn't want to draw to much attention to him and told me if I feel he had left something out to call them.

He left alot out and I called his local police and they said for a theft that high a officer should go and do a report in person told him this and he became hostile saying I went behind his back and he has been trying to help me recover my package and he is done don't contact him. Now I STILL was giving him the benefit of the doubt that it really was stolen and never once did I accuse him.

This is when I get a agn moderator involved and because it was he said he said situation we couldn't do much. I also contacted the three huben dealers in the US told them what was going on and to be aware.

Next I made a post to let the community know what was happening and for the guys in Ohio to please keep and eye out with added pictures and my serial number if anyone in the local area saw something. This is when a member reached out who asked to remain anonymous said look at theses names and addresses emails in the scammer section and see if any match the guy I was dealing with and nothing matched UNTIL one address rang a bell it was one I never saw when sending stuff but it just so happened to be on the online police report he used so at this point it was confirmed he was the theif and scammer and the anonymous ohio guy said he has been doing this for years and nothing can every be proven.

Now that I knew who it was I did a deep dive and gathered all the information I could on him and found that he has been doing this for YEARS just changes names and some information. Even with all this information his local PD and mine said nothing could be done especially because it was over state lines it's a civil matter and this guy knows he will get away with it.

I have became friends with Kelly at krazcool because I had 2 hubens and bought something else from him. He sent me a screen shot of a video he(kelly) had posted and the scammer had asked if kelly could post a video on how to fix something on the huben that he already broke.

I called his pd again and said he has it right now is there anything you can do and again nothing because I think the online police report was fake because they said they have nothing on file and since no crime was technically reported they can't do anything. Talked to Kelly and we were hoping he would send it to him to repair but he got spooked.

Right around that time he became active on the forum and it was time to have him banned. Now for some of his information so you all know his user name was Simpleguy, he used the name John Cully, address was 506 Heather Hill Rd, Columbus, OH 43213 and the other address that he wasn't using was 422 Briarwood Dr, Columbus, OH 43213, cell is 3802130555 and his real name is Anthony Jarvis Anitra Jarvis.

So please keep an eye out for any of that information when sending to anyone in Ohio. Since that had happened my good friends were trying to keep my spirits up and was able to get a used daystate huntsman donated to me by who I don't know and I was told I could keep it or sell it to recoupe some funds from my loss. I was able to sell it and they also pulled together $150 so I was back to around $1000 which was better than out $2300.

I didn't feel like I deserved anything or didn't ask them to do it but they felt I was wronged even though I had others pcps. A loss is a loss they said and it was greatly appreciated.

It was a hit to me but lesson learned and am writing this to let others know that post count and longevity doesn't always mean they are good people. We found and shut down another sleeper account he had waiting with good post count and long join date.

Always send with a signature required not that it would of fully helped but maybe, ups and most shipping services don't cover theft only lost or damaged by them. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago when I get a message from Kelly saying he thinks my huben has surfaced in disbelief I said what and request more information as I thought it was long gone.

It seemed that another member sent his m3 to this John Cully character for an even trade for a limited edition huben k1. When he received the k1 he contacted Kelly right away as something seemed off as he couldn't find the serial number as it appeared to be etched out.

After a few back and forths me and this guy got in touch and was a little hesitant to give me information becuase if it wasn't mine he didn't want to give away to much private information. I got that especially since he was also feeling that same feeling of knots in his stomach. I had detailed pictures of my huben and because it was wood I was able to show him specific grain and knots in the wood to prove it was mine. I also had Kelly install a very specific picatinny rail. We both came to the conclusion it was mine.

I am so so grateful that @jbull is a stand up guy. He was willing to send it into kelly for inspection i even paid for the shipping as it wasnt his fault. But now hes out gun and we had chatted in the past and can only afford one at a time. So I gave him the option if my huben was functional and just cosmetically damaged I would offer it to him at a huge discount of $1000. The huben is currently with Kelly getting it back to shooting properly but after talking to jbull he said being retired and in disability he won't be able to come up with the funds I will now keep the huben as a good story to tell but now jbull will be out a gun and that didn't sit right with me.

That $1000 that my friends recovered for me was not rightly mine because what was lost was now found and will be returned so I decided I would pay it forward to another good guy in the community he didn't need to return it to me.

Talking to jbull I asked if there were any pcps he regretted getting rid of which he told me was his delta wolf. Man that's am expensive gun no way I could get him into that.

Turns out he traded his delta wolf for my good friend @Elis5173 his m3 and that's what was traded to the scammer. Elis still had the delta wolf and I worked out a plan to try and get jbull his delta wolf back. All I needed was $500 from jbull and he traded me a bottle and I covered the rest with elis. As of yesterday October 31st jbull has his delta wolf back i wrapped his bottle and gave him a ergo grip I wasn't using.

I think for such a horrible situation that happened this is the best outcome I could have hoped for. Glad to make a new friend and thank you for all my friends that I have made. I will not stop helping others when I can just a little more cautious. I apologize for the novel but wanted others to know.

FX  COMPLAINT FOR FX AIRGUN COMPANY! FXlinerkit impact 4,5 700 mm sniper tensioned without CF sleeve!!!!

I've just received my 177 tensioned slug barrel last week, and i change my barrel and tuned it... But then just seconds ago, the seller that i bought the barrel call me and ask me to open the barrel and look for the liner... I curious about it... And ask him why? Then he told me that FX send all tensioned slug barrel without CF sleeve... One of his customer just complained and right away he call all his customers and they don't see any CF sleeve in it!!! Also The seller opened all his stock barrel and no CF sleeve too..
I opened the barrel, and i took the liner from the barrel and saw liner with 3 oring!!
Really shock about what i saw... Do FX quality control really that bad nowadays???
Why the hell FX send all "tensioned slug barrel" Without CF sleeve to Indonesia????

Which one would you keep???

I need to sell a rifle. To help the HW57 go I've sourced the missing parts from the open sights.

I love to keep a rifle on opens - fun times.

But actually could sell the .177 HW99 instead. And keep the .22 HW57.

So which would you keep. I can't decide as I love them both, but one has to go.....

Both shoot sweet and hit what I want. No galling on the HW99.....

What made ya do it?

I recently bought a Daystate MCH6. Best purchase I have made in my relatively short air gunning career to date.
I know why I finally made the jump.
Between Mrs Chukar and myself we have 5 small bore PCP’s. We can use up a lot of air in a weekend.
Then I added two big bores to the mix. The demand for air took a very large jump. I shoot those big bores quite a bit.
My air source was 35 minutes away. When my business is in season, even that small amount of spare time and over riding priorities made getting tanks filled a problem. The big bores just pushed me over the edge.
I am wondering what pushed the rest of you who bought the large Daystate or Alkins over the edge.

.22 LDC bore clearance study print files

One of the many aspects worthy of an organized study is the effect of pellet to LDC bore clearance on muffling effectiveness. There is a common belief that baffle bore size matters a great deal, and that making the bores 1 mm larger than necessary is unacceptably wasteful of suppression capability. The idea with the attached set of LDCs is to enable anyone with a printer to test this premise for themselves.

The three LDCs shown below have a very generic baffle design, using 60 degree included angle cones. The OD is 1", and the overall length is just over 4". The STLs attached in the ZIP file are identical, except for the bore diameters. They should print with bores having 0.5 mm; 1 mm and 1.5 mm radial clearance with a 5.5 mm diameter pellet, respectively.

The actual bore diameters are expected to print at 6.5; 7.5 and 8.5 mm, respectively. All baffle bores are the same in any given LDC - there is no taper or step in diameter. The front end has the bore diameter embossed. Hopefully that will show well enough in the prints to distinguish them from each other.

These LDCs are intended for .22 caliber up to 30 FPE. The threads are 1/2-20, and should be usable off the printer.

I predict a spread of less than 4 dB, smallest to largest bore; for this set of LDCs. But I could be wrong, because by "predict" I mean guess or estimate; not calculate, guarantee or certify.

Some are adamant that a 2 dB difference is significant. I would agree, if their best muffler reduced their airgun report by only 6 dB; and the second best by only 4 dB.

My goal for my muffler designs is a 10 dB peak sound reduction, over bare muzzle. If I can achieve a 12 dB reduction, I am willing to give up 2 dB for a more pleasing sound: More thud and less crack. a 10 dB reduction is not always possible, if the customer insists on a very compact muffler. Obviously it also depends on the platform and tune, to a very large degree.

On, to the subject of this thread: Similar mufflers, that vary only with regard to the bore to projectile clearance. If every tenth of a mm extra clearance matters a great deal, then a full 2 mm of extra bore clearance should show a definite signal. But, how much? Lets find out:

These mufflers need to be printed standing vertical on the printer platen, with the threads uppermost.

Evening hunt!

Was able to get out in the woods and do a little slow stalk hunt. My .22 Vulcan 2 - 700 (Spock) got the call. It’s shooting Zan 33gr slugs at 1020 fps. I’ve got it in a K&L chassis now and this ain’t a light stalker package but wanted to see how it performed on these bushy tails 🐿️!

I eased out to a nice spot at about 4:20 PM. First one was spotted on the ground and he spotted me too 👀 He hit the nearest oak and zipped on up there. I squat-walked over to a little sapling that I could get some cover from. Played a little hide and seek until he got brave and ventured out on a limb! I was already focused on ‘em before he could make a break for it. At 40 yards, the Zan reached him in a nano second! Thunk! Smoked him while slightly supported against a little skinny pine 🌲. He went lifeless almost as fast as the Zan got to him! Retrieved him and inspected the neck shot for a second before storing him in the my vest’s game pouch. I shortly moseyed over to a downed tree about 50 yards away and settled down on it. 10 minutes later I spotted another bouncing along the ground. I stealthily 🥷 took a knee and anticipated his approach to a little clearing. He was gathering some acorns and such and wouldn’t quite get to my anticipated kill spot. I decided to ease up and approach for a shot. I took five quiet paces and set up for an off-hander. He finally settled and drew his head up as if to listen for approaching trouble. I quickly focused, released half breath and sent that baby 🔥 Thwack! Another one in the pouch from a 35 yard stander to the neck yet again. I was liking what the Zans was a doing. Soft lead, decent size hollow-points and the 33 grainers are straight slaughtering‼️Darkness was trying to creep in at this point but I hoped to bag one more. I heard some rustling at a distance and figured it was my next prey. I eased toward it and pleasantly saw him at about 70 yards away. I took the next 5 minutes to duck and dive through some brushy terrain as I closed in to about 55 yards. I took a knee as I saw a shot and quickly squeezed off on the V3s beautiful two-stage trigger. The Zan found the lung/heart and it was over in two shakes of a lambs tail. I got over to him and there was a few blood 🩸 bubbles produced as his last breath escaped out of the entrance wound. He went into the pouch with the others.

My first hunt of ‘23 was done and I must say, it twas a big success. Before loading up back in my truck, I snapped a photo of these guys and of good ole Spock, My .22 Vulcan 3. Spock can NRL/PRS, perform at the bench or get it done hunting afield! These 3 bushy tails will make for a good mess of dumplings 😋 Y’all be good and happy hunting 😊

Got a female this time

I missed several times with my P35-177 and switched to my P35-22. This is the third I've dropped without a miss. I am not sure it was the 177 but the 22 is a bit more accurate and I think that makes me more confident in it. The previous several have been good sized males, this is a smaller female, 10 ounces. My dog alerted me to a squirrel and I picked up my P35-22 and went out the back door to the porch. I saw this squirrel run rapidly up a good sized oak tree and stop in a crotch pretty high up. I worried about having to use my Arken 6-24 on 8 or 10 power because it's FFP with a fine reticle but this is the third squirrel with it with no problem seeing the crosshairs. My shot landed just below the ear and exited above the leg on the other side. She dropped immediately. Nice when they do that. 21.5 yards (horizontally) and a 30 degree upward angle. Shot it just before 4pm. It just turned much cooler today but has been windy today. I think the cool weather may have made her come out to feed a little early. Usually it's a little later before they show up. But we didn't see any this morning, possibly because of the wind.

This one should not have been out at this time of day to start. Then it did not run when I got within 10 yards of it.
Had a strange staggering walk also. I put it down with the Dreamline Lite .30 with NSA slugs.
It was walking around the neighbors house and She came and asked me to take it out.
