Crosman  362 Anniversary Edition question

I just got my new Anniversary 362 from Pyramyd and it doesn’t dump all the air when pumped from 6 to 8 shoots. After I shoot, I cock it again to dump any remaining air. On 7 pumps I get consistent chrony numbers from 623 fps to 627 fps with 13.4 gr JSB, but on 8 pumps it can be erratic. Anyone experience this? Does the rifle just need to break in, or is it a warranty issue?

Air Arms  TX200 problem

If anyone has any advice that would be great. This is my problem. My last ft match my tx was all over the place. Couldn’t figure it out. Got home and chrono said I was at 735 which I have had it set up around 765. So I added another spacer on the guide and gun wouldn’t cock. So ok, I ordered a new spring and breech seals. Replaced both and power was around 715. New 12 fpe spring and only 715? Had a vortek piston seal in it. So I tried putting my factory piston seal on. 670. Now I’m frustrated. So I took piston and compression tube out. Inspected everything. Only thing I can come up with is with my thumb over compression tube and pushing the piston in I would think u should not be able to push the piston in. I can push it about half way in tube before It gets tough but I can still push the piston all the way into the compression tube. I would think you shouldn’t be able to if everything is sealing correctly. Am I wrong here? So now I have a compression tube ordered. Am I on the right track here or is it possible my last spring went bad and the new spring I got just don’t make the power. It’s a 12fpe spring from pyramyd but only 670 with 8.4s. I shouldn’t need that much preload and spacers right? Any advice would be awesome.

PCP Pistol  SOLD Airmaks Katran Compact Bottle .177 $850

SCOPE & RINGS NOT INCLUDED. Selling my really nice Katran purchased from UA in February. She’s a great shooter. She’s tuned by UA and that’s how it’s stayed I haven’t touched a thing on tune. I’ve slightly made the trigger lighter because it felt heavier than I liked, I don’t know the pull weight but it’s not a hair trigger however it feels good, the safety works and won’t bump fire👍I don’t know shot count but I’m sure a lot on this mild tune I get bored doing shot counts on big tanks. Comes with 4 Carm magazines, single shot tray, original magazine, nice wood grips. I’ll ship in a soft case. Selling to buy a Brocock Ranger.177. I’m a micro compact fan this is a small gun folded but Ranger is much smaller :) Asking $850 shipped PayPal f&f. Immaculate condition just priced to go.

Newbie here to air rifles

Hello all! I'm a total newbie to air rifles. I primarily became interested because of a rodent problem in my backyard. I just purchased an air venturi avenger wirh a bug buster scope to get me started. I definitely could use some advice. I need some places to go practice and learn. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I'm in the Riverside, CA area.

Beeman  Beeman Kodiak .25

Added another Webley to the collection at a very cheap price, a Beeman Kodiak (Webley Patriot) in .25 in nice condition. When I bought this rifle I assumed it would be a harsh shooting novelty gun, but I was pleasantly surprised! The thing shoots like a gas ram with a dull thud even though it has a spring and is not so tough to cock despite the reputation as a tough one to cock. It may have been tuned or at least lubed correctly. It's shooting 25.39gr JSB Kings at just over 26ftlb. I was smacking cans at 35yrds with open sights as easy as most of my other springers. Really happy with this classic!

N/A  Washing, sorting, and lubricating slugs... What's your opinion?

I have been reading a lot of articles and watching a lot of videos about slugs. Some people clean them, sort them and lube them. And some people just open the package and run them. So I am interested in your opinions on if you all do or do not and why? Thanks in advance for your feedback.

PCP Rifle  SOLD .177 Daystate Huntsman Regal (unregulated) (SPF)

Bought this from another member on a whim. Never owned a .177 before. It's not for me.
Nice shooting and accurate. Shoots FX 10.34 grain pellets like a laser. Original paperwork shows them running about 900fps. Flat shot string from 210 down to about 160 bar.
Comes with 1 magazine, single shot tray, moderator, and BKL scope mounts. Below target is 30 yards full magazine standing in a doorway. Aiming point was the single pellet hole below the group. Asking $650 shipped to Cont 48. Paypal or USPS money order.
No trades please!!

Traditional Rifle  SOLD TX200 .177 - 22mm piston build - 12fpe

SOLD: Sorry my inbox was inundated - if I didn't get back to you please don't take offense. Guess I should have asked more!

Built this up a couple years ago. Got a left hand action that I'd sold nearly 10 years ago back from the guy that bought it - it was the the most accurate one I'd owned. Action is in a right-hand stock. In some ways easier to load on the bench and sitting since the opening is on the left. If I kept it I'd scallop the stock.

Shoulder injury forces sale. Probably PCPs for me from here on out.

I have not run it over a crony in ages but it's' about 11.5fpe. Shoots great. It's running a 22mm light piston and comp tube from Tony in the UK (look up on the forums or Facebook). Also has Tony's magnetic underlever latch which is super cool - no tension between the underlever and the barrel.

Asking $400 plus shipping. Will include 5 cans of JSB 8.4 too. SCOPE, RINGS AND HARD CASE NOT INCLUDED

What is your effective range?

The hunting season is only a couple of months long so I spent the rest of the time plinking and pesting to improve my effective range. I use a one-inch target as a reference as it represents the kill-zone on pests, squirrels and rabbits.

You see a lot of nice groups from people target shooting in ideal conditions. I'm curious what kinds groups people can achieve in a hunting situation without a bench and a rest.

So what is the range at which you can take an off-hand shot with a high degree of confidence (80% or better?) that you will hit what you are shooting at?

My personal effective range is between 2 and 25 yards.
I can expect to hit a one-inch spinner, off-hand, 8 out of 10 times (or better) anywhere within that range.

When I’m hunting or pesting and using a tree for a rest my effective range is 40 to 50 yards in calm conditions. Much beyond that bipods and shooting prone is required and that is not practical for me due to mobile targets, ground cover, ticks and old-man sore joints.

Pesting birds at long ranges with my Panthera is great fun but I admit that I need a lot more practice at reading the wind. A hit on a grackle beyond 100 yards is more of the bird's bad luck than any skill of mine - it's always a surprise to both of us ;)

Cheers!
