FX  Brand New FX Impact M3 not firing

Hello everyone,

This is my first post here, been a lurker from quite some time lol.
I finally decided to get an FX Impact M3 and was very excited when it arrived. After filling it up to 230 bars, I wanted to try it but the rifle wouldn't shoot...
I'm not sure what the problem is, it's like there's something blocking the hammer from hitting the valve because when I press on the trigger I can hear a loud "KLANG'...

I've seen a post here about the same thing but on an FX Wildcat MK3 BT, turns out it was a security screw that was installed for shipping the gun, but I can't find it on the Impact...

FYI, there's still air inside the bottle and no leaks.

Has anyone encountered this problem ?

Show me your Whiscombe

It's been a while since I did any posting. Here's my JW80 MK2 with 3 barrels.
A member recently got me up and shooting this rifle. He suggested I get a chronograph for testing.
Just got a Competion Electronis with Blue Tooth.Have shot all 3 calibers.
I am amazed at the consistent velocities I'm getting from all 3.

.25 caliber 41 grain ZAN slugs

Has anyone else noted the difference between the older (grey-ish) ZAN 41 grain .25 caliber and the new (silver/shiny) slugs? The 41 grain (old) from a Superior Slug liner at 955 fps is lights out in my 700mm Impact. The new ones I couldn't group any better than a softball at 100 yards. I'd love to be able to get the old version, since the new version is useless to me...

Other  A couple of new acquisitions

Always looking for new piston guns to add the collection. The pistol is a .177 cal.
20240318_124004.jpg
20240318_124324.jpg
HyScore Mod 816. It's a rebranded Diana Mod 6. It incorporates the GISS recoil reduction system which employs two opposing pistons. One piston supplies the energy to the pellet while the other is timed to move in the opposite direction at exactly the same instant. The result is a shot cycle that feels completely free of recoil. Originally designed for target work, these guns are superbly accurate.
The rifle is a BSA Supersport Magnum, also in .177 cal. I was told by the seller that the gas ram in this rifle was part of a tune performed by David Slade. I have the Supersport Magnum Carbine in .22 as well. These rifles are, in my opinion, perfect field guns. Delightfully easy handling, not too heavy and a nice, single stage trigger.

N/A  Help picking a 177 rifle

I’m looking for a PCP rifle for plinking. We have steel targets in our pasture at 50 and 100 yards. We have a 22 and a 25 PCP but I would like to get a 177. Budget is $400 or less obviously lol. Right now I’m stuck between the Air Venturi Avenger or the JTS Airacuda. Anyone have an opinion either way or hands on with both? Or something similar that I should consider?

HW/Weihrauch  Weihrauch’s

I was bitten by the bug again. These were available for a while. I’ve been painting my interior house, nasty job. Got the itch last week. A box arrived today. A box inside the box I scored a HW 50 .177 1972 with an inscription. Hope it’s true.
IMG_8232.jpeg
It’s a beater.
IMG_8233.jpeg
This doesn’t have barrel droop, it has barrel miss alignment. Guess the barrel droop this isn’t new.
I have a straightener on its way. I should have it on the 28th.
IMG_8235.jpeg

‘Another box in the box. A HW90 .22. I now have all 4 calibres of the 90. Can’t wait to play with them together. These are tanks. Had on hold.
IMG_8237.jpeg

Ok Ok best for last. A Weihrauch Barakuda .22. A HW35 with a supercharger.
IMG_8242.jpeg
IMG_8244.jpeg
Apparently you feed it either to double it‘s velocity.
IMG_8241.jpeg
Same as the 50 not the greatest condition but good starters. You don’t hear of the Barakuda.
IMG_8246.jpeg
Have the check the seals. This breach looks worn. I don’t know much about these but will learn.
IMG_8249.jpeg
I was hoping to put these sights on but they seem small. Don’t if on the v-groove.

IMG_8243.jpeg
Looking forward to shooting these, but not going to happen for a while. This could get tight for space. Crow

PCP Rifle  SOLD Like new FX Dynamic Express 700 30cal. (Price Reduced )

I have a like new fx dynamic express 700 30cal. Bought last June/July, I've shot maybe 200 rounds through it. I've installed the heavier hammer, ST drop down bottle adapter and the front bottle. And an extra magazine. And of course the case. I have over 2300 in the gun. Asking 1850 shipped TYD. I have excellent feedback on AGN, so deal with confidence. Does not come with bipod. The only trade I would consider, is for a BRK ghost hp. Thanks for looking.

New Permission…💥🙀😀

Just got invited to help keep the pest population at the local orchard under control. They are overrun with woodchucks and want me to take them out… There are also hundreds of pest birds, and I am sure there will be rats on the premises. Best part is that its five minutes away. Many years ago when it was under different ownership I shot many chucks there with my CZ452 .22 rimfire. But as the orchard changed hands I moved on to the local dairies. The dairies are now gone, so am super excited to get back onto that 90 acre orchard… My BRKs will be put to the test this Spring, Summer and Fall. Super excited, will be scouting out the locale this weekend.

Pellet rifle recoil and Scopes

It is my understanding that spring piston air rifles will cause undo stress on typical scopes because of the reverse recoil.
I have several scopes that are marketed for air gun use. But I have a couple of vintage Baush&Lomb Elite 4200 that were mounted
on a couple spring piston air rifles I bought. Should I not use them on the Beeman R1 or Diana 48?
And how about on an Whiscombe with dual-opposing pistons?
Lastly, do PCP rifles have recoil that powder rifles do not?

25 shot groups at 100 with FX 25.4

Shot a little this morning in pretty nice conditions. Never held more than around 2" either side.

New .875" barrel HPX using the FX redesigns from the tin.

Was playing with the tuner looking for best vertical.

25 shot groups.

The last group would be an easy 249 on the RMAC 100y card. All would be into the 240s. I'm real happy with things.

And Rifle...

IMG_2640.jpeg

The worlds most advanced air compressor.

It fills to 10,000psi (comes with matching tank). It's electric and comes with a large battery pack, so it's portable. In fact it has wheels and it can navigate itself to your favorite shooting range all on it's own. It's so large it can take you and your best friend along for the ride. It also has as built in air conditioner, stereo system and an array of cold gas thrusters, should you find the need to move your compressor & tank to 60mph in under a second. It's so advanced it doubles as a transportation. The only catch is the price...

The future is here gentlemen. Who's getting one? 😍

Info on the tank/compressor starts @ 4:30.

PCP Rifle  SOLD Air Arms S200 (CZ200) .177

This is an Arm Arms S200 (CZ 200) in .177. It was a .22 from the factory but a previous owner converted to .177 with a factory barrel, pellet guide and pellet probe. Very accurate and currently the power level is at 13 ft. lbs. I’ve had it as high as 16 ft. lbs down to 6 ft. lbs. Very easy to adjust power levels. Price is $325 plus shipping. I’ll use Pirate Ship, so shipping should be reasonable ($25 to $45) depending on location. I prefer USPS money order, or certified cashiers check, but I’ll take PayPal “friends/family too.

First hiccup with my GX-CS4

Yesterday while topping off my FX Dream-Tac's 480cc bottle I noticed the compressor's temperature gauge was climbing faster that normal, it hit 96F by time it was done and normally doesn't even get into the 90's topping off this airgun. I pulled the cap off the water tank and sure enough, no movement! I took the cover off to check connections and felt the water pump, which had zero vibration or any other indication it was running, so I figured it had died.

I purchased my CS4 on March 8th 2023, so go figure, the warranty ended 9 days ago... I sent an e-mail to GX Pumps letting them know of the failure with the hopes they would offer a good faith extension of the warranty and cover the replacement pump. Well, I received their reply this morning and thought, geez, they've got to be kidding!

Their reply: "Poke the middle of the bottom with a stick"

They also included a short video:

I'll be honest, I really didn't think this would fix anything, but figured I'd better give it a try before e-mailing them back... Well, who'd a thunk? Sure enough, after poking the bottom hole with a long 3/16" Allen Wrench, all of a sudden, I have water flowing again! All I can figure is some sediment had settled at the bottom of the water tank and eventually blocked the water flow. I thought this was odd because I have flushed the system multiple times when I initially set it up and thought everything had been flushed from the system. Apparently not! Anyway, thought I'd share this so anyone else who may experience what they think might be a water pump failure, can try this before they go looking fro a replacement pump! Also, Bill at Target Forge didn't have any in stock, but said he could order one pretty quick, so it's good to know we have a U.S. source for these GX Compressor parts!

N/A  Best Multipump Pneumatic

I'm just curious what people's opinions are, going by accuracy, power and efficiency, cost, handiness and looks.

Myself, I've owned a Crosman 760, 766, 362 and 1377, a Sheridan Silver Streak and a Seneca Aspen.

I also just recently acquired a Crosman 101, but I haven't shot it yet as it needs new seals.

I would rank the Sheridan at the top of the list. I simply liked shooting it. It was accurate, reasonably powerful, light and handy and felt like a well made gun.

The Aspen is that gun that should have mopped the floor with everything else, except for it being so flawed. They somehow managed to make a bulky and notoriously unreliable MPP.

I'd probably put the 766 at the bottom, except I would consider both it and the 760 to be primarily youth oriented bb guns and that means I'd judge them a little more leniently.
