Tuxing double cylinder oil question

Hello, I have a tuxing double cylinder and the oil looks white there's no water in the oil no water leaks anywhere I'm using husky 100% full synthetic air compressor oil. The oil is very clear when it comes out the bottle and stays clear when I run the compressor under no load but when I go to fill a tank or gun it changes to this white color.

The Last Royale 400 in Walnut? A Royale Pain!

First off let me be clear, this is by no means is me being critical of the new FX Royale 400 (.22 cal) that I finally acquired. It is a phenomenal airgun in every respect and I'm thrilled to own what may be the last walnut stocked Royale 400 to be manufactured (serial # 2221838). The Royale was ordered by me on April 24th from Pyramid Air. Mark at PYRAMID, AKA @OkAirgunner , assisted me and has provided exemplary service and advice to me. I can't say enough positives about Mark and the depth of his knowledge at Pyramid - Thanks Mark! I was informed by FX (Mathias) that my Royale was made and shipped to Utah Air around May 23rd. Mathias at FX in Sweden also provided me with excellent service and was instrumental at tracking down my Royale and ultimately got it into my hands. As many of you may know, Utah Air is the primary distributor of FX in America. What I didn't know is that a sister company to Utah, Marksman, is the importer. Why I didn't initially use Utah to buy the gun is another matter that I do not wish to discuss at this time. Marksman (thanks to Cameron) arranged to send it on to me only after some "irregularities" occurred. The reason I entitled this post "Royale Pain" is the amount of time it took and the miscommunications that existed in the process. Like I previously mentioned, I ordered it on April 24th and finally had it in my hands on August 3rd. It was manufactured and shipped to Utah (Marksman) on approximately May 23. About a week later I get an email from Pyramid that they were informed by Utah that the Royale 400 is no longer being made and that my order is cancelled. Huh???!!!. Well, things started getting interesting and after discussing this chain of events with Mark (at Pyramid) and also bringing in Mathias at FX we finally got things straightened out. But wait, there's more... another month goes by and still no gun. I know Utah has it but no one at Pyramid or Utah knows where it is! Isn't that just great?! Another PM to Mathias at FX and he promptly tracks the gun down for me and lo & behold it's at Marksman. I receive a very nice PM from Cameron at Marksman and he took care of me. I won't enumerate all the PMs and phone calls that I made but my patience and persistence paid off. Yep, it was a Royale pain; only took about 3 months (not 8 weeks as advertised) to get it but I'm happy that I did and I am very pleased with all the assistance I received from Mathias @FX Airguns , Mark @OkAirgunner at Pyramid and Cameron @Marksman Distribution. Don't know that I would go through all this to get a nice airgun...but the last Walnut Royale 400??? Well, maybe.;) More photos to come under PCP's

American Air Arms  Paradigm users

Looking through the safe and it got me thinking about how many other people have these rifles?

I have been lucky enough to get one of the external adjustable regulators, along with one of the extended plenums. In 22 the rifle is a tack driver with the 25.4 grain pellets. Sitting on top is a Tract Torric scope to make easy work spotting the shots.

GX CS3 or CS4 for filling rifle

I recently bought a GX E-L2 for filling my rifle on the road instead of hauling a tank around. I like the concept of just filling the rifle directly. I am thinking about a CS3 or CS4 for home use to fill the rifle directly in lieu of the tank. In my case I do not have any big bore rifle nor will I ever. Everything is 177. I do have a couple Walther LG400 rifles that can be filled to 300bar but never fill them past a little over 200bar as they get plenty of shots at that pressure. So in my case everything would be a 3000-3300 psi fill, topping off from around 1500-2000 psi. I don’t shoot everyday (wish I could), more of a weekend warrior and some weekends I don’t have time. The CX3 seems to make the most sense for my needs but the CX4 would prob last for ever with my use. Just curious what others think who own the CX3 or CX4. I like the CX3 price better but have the funds to buy either And don’t mind spending more if it’s worth it.

A New Contract

I reported earlier this year about solving a woodchuck problem. Well the same landowner has reached out to me with a problem on a different property, his suburban home.

Before I begin to describe the tools and methods that will be used I must give a disclaimer. Even though I throw around the word contract, I am NOT a professional.
But for those that may have doubts
1. I have used a 1377 as my airgun from 1986-2000 shooting only wadcutters
2. I I have owned allen wrenches all my life
3. I have been killing red squirrels all my life

Safety is always the first consideration during site evaluation. I have known this property for many years so a recon trip is not needed. A lawyer is attached to every pellet. The environment calls for standard power and low noise. This is very different than the last job where my fine English girl practiced speaking German with a Chinese accent @35fpe unmoderated. No, we need to be quiet.

Also all state and local guidelines whether real or perceived are strictly followed.

The situation, Red Squirrel Insurgency.
The timing, planning now, mission in the next 1-5 weeks.

I always like to have the right tool for the job. This leads a guy to have more than one airgun. I also like to try to make one gun do many things it was not intended to do. These two statements may seem to contradict each other, but after years of study, I can assure you the behavior is considered normal.

The cunning and deception of the quarry demands that I be armed at all times. The 1701”Stickgun” fills that role. The TP is drilled to exactly between the stock size and a stock 1720t. Tuned for Match Light 7.87s to flirt with 600fps. Everytime I shoot it I apologize for the red dot. But that is only because of the “Scope Deficit“ that I will explain later.

The Main tool for the job.
To some degree we are all victimized by marketing. I have a weak spot for guns. Victor, an arms dealer on the planet of Pandora once said to me, “A sniper without a sniper gun, is just a guy with a gun.” Let me tell you than I have taken that to heart.

I have recently completed fitting my 1720 into its new stock. The stock’s weight gives some added stability and wonderful ergo. It’s tuned for RWS Supermags that will be flirting with 10fpe…..While this may not be Thor’s hammer. The reds wont know the difference.

But for those that doubt, and my wife who says that I am a paranoid version of Walter Mitty, I have a backup gun.
I love my Controller dearly, but she does have a mean streak. After all, I do know who Walter is as I remember not reading the book contributed to an F in the late 70’s. Like that was the only one…whatever. I say she has a mean streak, not because she rolled her eyes when I said that I want to compete at the Olympics and that she needs to buy me a pistol. No, It’s because she gives me the same look when I say I need a compressor. Let’s move on.

Paranoid, red squirrels? I am sure many of you are thinking I am undegunded. Well lets not fret over that.

Let me introduce you to my little friend, the Mini-M/160
This started life as a used Prod that needed to be free. A Mrod Walther .22 barrel and gen 1 trigger resting gently in a 1970s Crosman elm stock.
Tuned for 16 shots of 18-19fpe with JTS 18gr wadcutters…This is The Hammer of Thor! I think of it as that belted magnum in a scout rifle that I am not man enough to shoot. Tipped with an elegant and superb TKO, quiet. This gun is to be used with the most extreme caution and shot preparation. Safety safety!
Oh, and here is where the scope deficit can clearly be seen. The ratio has dropped below 2 to 1 so I was forced to put this UTG into action.

Now if you are thinkingI fall back to a lowly Prod posing under some name I made up, think again you fools Woooohahahaaha.

If everything gets so bad that even the Four Uncles have died and pumping is no longer possible, I will get truly serious a break out the HW30 and the 7.33 Falcons. No photos please, the HW is special.

Thank you, I will record an AOR in the future.

Benjamin  New to me Bulldog 357

IMG_0298.jpegIMG_0297.jpegIMG_0296.jpegIMG_0295.jpegPosted earlier in the master thread …
Picked up a 357 Bulldog s couple of weeks ago from a member. My first big bore. I’m hooked! Just installed Pit bull’s 160cc plenum, depinger, long moderator and barrel supports. Excited to see how this affects accuracy with the 105g semi wadcutters that I cast. May get a 125g round nose mold as well. Will also try some 000 Buck round balls just for fun. I did dry fire a couple of times just to hear the difference from stock. Quieter, but certainly not quiet. Won’t need ear pro. And ping is gone!
The seller included a variety if slugs and some pellets to try. I wasn’t real pleased with the accuracy, but then realized that I hadn’t cleaned the barrel. Now, with a sparkling barrel, plus the add ons, I am expecting much better results. Since I lost the bottom rail, I looked at top rail mount bipods. Didn’t relish the idea of spending aui that much on a bipod, so ordered a set of m-lock mounts. Modified them to mount on the stock a there ya go. Now to get to the range

N/A  What Next?

Ok, so I started out this airgun adventure with .22 cal R9 back in 2007. I went the HW springer route. I have never owned a pen Air Arms springer. I’m itching for something new (springer) so I was considering adding another .22 cal HW gun in to the mix. Now I came up with the idea of trying out an Air Arms springer.

what are some of your thoughts or ideas on the subject? If YOU were to look at a new sprin gun what would YOU be considering?

Im just back a backyard safari hunter hunting paper and reactive targets for fun so I have no real “need” to fill with a new gun other than my own personal entertainment.

Thanks for your thoughts and ideas! 👊🏼

Airgunstop.com legit ??

They are advertising 300 dollars off m3 impacts in the classifieds. However, it appears their account here has been blocked. Just curious if anyone has ordered from them. Enough red flags already to stop me but just curious if anyone has dealt with them ? Seems any m3 you click on from their website there is 1 left in stock. Lol.

Taipan  Taipan vetran long 25 cal shooting out to 80 yards

PCP Rifle  SOLD Uragan 2 .30 cal 700mm & Extras

I have a fantastic shooting Uragan 2 in
.30 cal. Rifle comes with what you see plus:

AGT Uragan 2 .30cal 700mm unchocked CZ barrel
AGT moderator
Africa Air Ordance Uragan Upgrade Kit
- Heavier hammer weight
- Red anodized biathalon cooking handle
- bottle adapter for accepting bottles w/ M18-1.5 thread
- Depinger for plenum
Arken Optics SH-4 4-16x50mm GenII scope
Red anodized scope rings with bubble level
Red laminate stock
Adjustable bipod
(4) Carm .30 mags in Red
(1) Custom OEM mag that will hold 62gr or larger ammo up to 13mm in length
Fill probe
Original OEM bottle
Original fill gauge
Gen 2 Sekhmet digital gauge with charger (not pictured)
Allsafe 700cc bottle
Custom 7075 aluminum gauge adapter

I have tried to get as much matching in red as possible. I do not have the original barrel shroud. Barrel is tensioned and i machined a custom black UHMW adapter at receiver side with lip machined for an o-ring to snug nicely against reciever. Moderator has small lip machined for carbon fiber sleeve to fit snug between moderator and adapter. The moderator has a textured red faux carbon fiber overlay. I machined an adapter out of 7075 aluminum to offset the digital gauge just enough so it would thread in as much as possible while avoiding the rifle body. There is no way to add a larger gauge to this rifle unless something like this is made. Rifle holds air, ZERO leaks and shoots great. One OEM mag was modded with .5mm CF to allow more internal room for longer projectiles.

The only issue is one of the barrel clamps on action has broken off as seen in 2 pics. I probably could have engineered a fix but I tested it and it has continued to shoot fine since. This has not affected accuracy and I have not noticed any difference while shooting, especially near my face. I have shot it a few hundred times since the one clamp broke and would continue to shoot it more. The barrel is held with (4) more screws over the cocking portion of the rifle. In total there are (8) barrel screws with (2) now missing. This is my last pcp rifle as I have transitioned to break barrel type rifles. So I am offloading a compressor as well. This rifle LOVES 62gr slugs. I replaced o-rimgs & resealed everything about a month ago with Krytex grease. I am asking $900 FF obo shipped for everything. Please feel free to ask any questions! Thanks!

I (ashamedly) own a Crosman 3622. questions on modifications

My post title is tongue in cheek, yeah I sure wish it was a better airgun, but I bought it because I have fun testing myself with less than top of the heap products. I appreciate what Crosman has done by introducing this gun. I don't have the skills to acquire something so simple, yet effective, without paying more. I thought about an FX DRS, or Airforce utility rifle, which on paper is a much better decision than this purchase for what I desire from an air rifle. Having said that, I already own six other Crosmans, so I do know what I am getting into. Modifying is my thing. I need to tinker and see how good I can make the rifle. I am specifically interested first on improving accuracy, and then power. Simplicity and lightweight and compactness are already built into the gun. I am waffling between peep/globe sight and scope, but I still need a better breech to test my Williams WGRS-54. some kind of upgraded breech will be implemented. I just prefer the ease and stability of adjustment over the plastic peep. Scopes always work for me, they are just heavy and bulky compared to open sights. Not real keen on the plastic trigger group, but truthfully it is working pretty well with a simple lighter trigger return spring and a tension loosened safety/sear spring. I want to explore what a three screw mod really does. I have put an adjustment screw on the forward part of my 362 anniversary (legacy) edition, and that limits sear engagement. Do I need something else? The accuracy bit is either going to come down to the right pellet and tuning or a different barrel. someone said a Lothar Walther Marauder barrel could be adapted. How does that work? It might sound crazy to some but a $200 barrel is something I would be willing to do. I don't like the barrel bands as they come, but I think some shimming will center the barrel more precisely. all of these topics are covered somewhere else, but I am getting tired of looking through posts, so I am seeing if anyone will indulge this crazy person.

FX  FX Impact M4 did not dissapoint! Now I see Why it's #1...

Nates-m4.JPG

Hey guys, I have tested about 400 guns...and this FX Impact M4 truly deserves the #1 spot. Out of the box (no tuning) it's shooting 18.1gr pellets at 890 FPS and doing it perfectly. I'm almost done with the review video but I couldn't wait to show you! I bought this gun with my own money, so I'm not on the FX team. I can just really appreciate shooting an M4, after trying every other gun out there. It shoots like a dream! -Nate

Here is 50+ shots at 38 yards, FX 18.1 gr pellets. Those are 5 shot groups:

44.JPG

4444.JPG

This is my second M4, the first was from a major FX dealer and shot like crap at the identical out of the box settings. If your M4 doesn't shoot like the groups shown above, send it back immediately. And if you don't buy from PY Air, you will risk a re-stocking fee if the "techs" don't agree that 1 inch groups at 35 yards is not OK. My first M4 also had parts that looked like they were dropped on the ground, then picked up and installed on the gun. (missing finish). The second M4 from Pyramyd Air was perfect.

Not trying to dump on anyone, but I have pulled new FX rifles out of the box with safetys that don't work. Stuff like that does happen, with all airgun companies, not just FX.

Is this hobby is worst than drugs??

I,m 79 years Young. I do not wear glasses, still get around good, but just slower than before, & still shoot pretty good.
But I still see new guns I would like to have, or think I can,t go on with out it.I have been addicted to smoking the same
with alcohol for many years of my early life. But came to grips with that I had to stop. I,m now retired & on a fixed income but
that has not exactly stoped me with this addiction. I can say this I have not bought any $1000 guns yet or will ever. I think
people that can afford them it is only money right. But I have as much enjoyment as any of you. My Avenger can shoot better
than me. I have come to the conclusion. (It is really more fun wanting something than having it) . Think about that. You want
something REALLY BAD, then you order it. You use & truly enjoy it , then the day comes a new model of what you have comes
out & all of a sudden you start wanting that, & put what ever you wanted before a side? Yes we have & still do that. The one
Great thing in getting old is you gain WISDOM. You can not teach wisdom, you must live it. God Bless all my friends here.

Stock and velocity change mystery

Airacuda Max is a very accurate PCP for the money but I have made a discovery that will probable make me go mad or madder . You must remove the stock in order to adjust hammer spring . I do this and use a crony to get the velocity just right .Example 875 fps and install back into stock and depending on how tight the stock screw is I end up 20 to 40 fps slower .Just setting it into stock makes 10 or 15 fps diff . I was very happy not knowing this . Any thoughts can only be helpful . Or not !
