dynamic .30 tuned for 60 grain javelins

Havent shot my Dynamic in a month or so. Went out to the squirrelin' fields yesterday during lunch to see who was skipping their mid day siesta. Forgot to hit record on the first two @ 80y and 120y. Remembered on this 106y shot of a sleepy squirrel who only presented neck and head. that was all the dynamic needed.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the Pantera/Dynamic platform for long range hunting is pretty hard to beat. IMO is a gun that much more consistent than my Impacts ever were and needed very little to shoot slugs with high velo very consistently. I swapped out the reg for a Huma, but left hammer spring and hammer weights alone. that said I do have the rifle pretty closed to maxed, which seems totally fine.

Only feedback is that it ALWAYS takes 2-3 warmup shots to get the velo up to running speeds...otherwise POI hasnt changed since I got the thing zero'd and I can always rely on it to hit my target out to 150y +. one day I need to go shoot it at 200+ just to see how I can group.

Love this rifle.

Results  2025 National 50 Benchrest League Championship Results - NRA Whittington Center, Raton, NM, 8/23-24

I posted a little too quick. This one I took more time to add details.
2025 N50 National Championship Report

NRA Whittington Center, Raton, NM

The 2025 N50 National Championship, held at the NRA Whittington Center in Raton, New Mexico, brought together real 50-yard air rifle and .22LR benchrest competitors. Scores from six cards per class (up to 18 cards) were summed, stacked, and sorted under consistent conditions. To ensure fairness, benches were rotated multiple times, eliminating concerns about unequal bench assignments.

Competitors and Community
Top shooters from states including Florida, Louisiana, Utah, California, Arizona, Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Ohio, Colorado, Arkansas, and Washington competed, showcasing skill and sportsmanship. The event fostered camaraderie, with old friends reconnecting and new ones forming. A few highlights:
  • MikeD and Jerry and Linda M, returned travelling the southern route to attend.
  • MarkH and HarveyW, who completed a one-day "cannonball run" from the Pacific Northwest.
  • Brad S., Jayson B., and Mike R. from Utah, excelled with new rifles.
  • MarkC from the Meeker, OH club, did really well.
Event Details
Favorable weather with consistent light winds provided ideal shooting conditions. We award top 3 best in class for each day and best for sum of all shooters.
The competition featured five awarded classes:
  1. Pro/Slug: Unlimited RF and Air Rifle builds, scored with a 0.224” plug. Cash awards given for Saturday 3 card event and Sunday 3 card event results.
  2. Sportsman/Slug: Factory style target rifles, open to all air rifles, scored with a 0.350” plug. Cash awards given for Saturday 3 card event and Sunday 3 card event results.
  3. Pellet: Any air rifle, summed in the "Pellet Combined" class for comparison with rimfire competitors, scored with a 0.350” plug. Cash awards given for Saturday 3 card event and Sunday 3 card event results
  4. Pellet Combined: Special awarded class of Pellet rifle used in all 3 classes for 18 cards (450 bulls). Aggregated both days Pellet scores for a comprehensive ranking using the 0.350” plug. A Medal and custom AR250 rest were awarded to 1st place. Medals and cash were awarded to 2nd & 3rd place.
  5. All Combined: Aggregated scores for a comprehensive 18 card (450 bulls) ranking. Air rifle shooters were encouraged to compete in the more challenging Pro and Sportsman classes, enabling direct comparisons with rimfire rifles. A Medal and custom AR250 rest were awarded to 1st place. Medals and cash were awarded to 2nd & 3rd place.
Scoring and Organization
I feel the event ran well, with:
  • Mike N. serving as Range Master, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Joe F. head score-master as well as contributing to a memorable and enjoyable weekend.
  • Ardey V. returning to assist with scoring.
  • Ardey and Joe scored approximately 11,250 bulls with exceptional accuracy.
  • LouF. goofed around and worried.
Standout Performances
  • JaysonB., 1st timer competed with his 30 cal FX Dynamic medaled 1st in "Pellet Combined" class and 2nd place Day 1 and 1st place Day 2. Good shooter.
  • Dan B., in his second N50 Championship, competed with a new Thomas pellet rifle and earned four top-3 medals.
  • Mike S., also secured 1st place in both "Pellet Overall" (one-gun) and "Pellet All" categories, earning the two custom AR250 rests and four top-3 medals. A significant achievement is his 4th place in the Sportsman class with his Thomas pellet rifle, surpassing nearly all rimfire competitors

Classified Purchases, PayPal FF vs Goods??

Hello All,
I have a question about buying from the classifieds. I see most sellers say PayPal Friends/Family preferred.
I'm wondering why the seller wouldn't send an invoice via PayPal which the buyer would then pay treated as "Goods/Services" which includes all the buyer protections a typical PayPal purchase would have.
Edit: My PayPal account issued a card with 0% APR. When I checked with PayPal they said it only applies to Goods/Services not F/F. That's the motivation for asking not any worry about being ripped off.
I guess better to just lay cash and be fine with it. I just normally like interest free deals is all.

Thanks and apologies for the original question, was misleading to my intention.

N/A  Maple Custom

I am having a custom poppet made for my Pinty Bullpup. I also wondered about the tariffs? Here is their reply for those interested. Glad to hear.
No problem at all. Our shipping partner has implemented the tariff collection in place and is ready to accept packages. However we are still waiting for the USMCA compliance forms to avoid most of the tariffs for the buyer. This should be ready tomorrow.

PCP Rifle  NLA Umarex Notos- Tinkers dream- Cheap

This Notos has been a project I have been working on for the past couple months. I went to a local bench shoot and now plans have changed. It started out as just a backyard plinker but this rifle isn't going to cut it on a bench. I am selling at a big loss just to fund the coming addiction. All parts are like new and have less than 300 pellets shot through them. Gun shoots excellent and is in great shape as shown in the pictures.

Work preformed
-Barrel transfer port 4.78mm
-2nd hole drilled and taped on top of receiver for using an extra set screw to clamp barrel tight
-Modified handguard to fit 56mm objective scope lens on 1.26" scope rings.

Parts installed
-CRC Plenum
-C88 side charging handle
-C88 5mm valve body
-C88 hammer weight with offset
-C88 500mm .22cal FX barrel kit+ 100mm extension
-FX STX superior 600mm .22cal liner
- .22 oem magazine
- .22 oem single shot tray
- 8mm regulator pressure gauge

Parts not installed
-FX STX superior 500mm .25cal liner
-C88 .25cal conversion kit w/magazine
-OEM .22 barrel/moderator setup
-Extra OEM tank w/regulator and fill port
-Tons of Notos specific O-rings
- Buck rail gip adapter(Not pictured)

So if you are like me and cant leave anything alone for too long and like having the ability to swap stuff out, this is the perfect rifle. I am looking to get $500 plus shipping for the lot of this rifle. Any question please reach out. Scope setup and moderator not included with sale of rifle. Thanks.

Shooting Bench Build?

Hello All,
I decided I need something more stable than my usual dragging this flimsy old card table around. I just finished a new chicken coop and run so I've got decent leftover lumber.
I've seen many of the same construction, seat on either side, 4x4 legs, etc. These look great with one problem. I'm looking to have my cake and eat it too; heavier and stable but I can move it.
I was thinking I could attach casters to the front so when lifted I could wheel it? It really only needs 2 locations all it won't be all over.
If anyone has any plans I can work from I'd really appreciate it. I can draw it up myself from picture reference but it would be a great plus to have them to begin.
Any other advice is really appreciated.
Thank You !!!

N/A  CZ Slavia 618 Auction Bargain

Picked up this little bitty .177 plinker at an auction for a few pennies over the price of a song. It's a CZ Slavia 618 and I'm shocked on its condition, almost perfect. I tested it out and it is very accurate too. It'll be great when my great grandkids get a little bigger.

Pellet Pens

There's almost nothing to read about them but are they an alternative to reading glasses & an assist to those of us handicapped w thungers for digits? I'm struggling here.

They look like kind of a PITA to load, but magazines aren't always the most convenient things to load either. 177s are especially difficult & dropping them gets old pronto
