PCP Rifle  WTS Price corrected - LNIB DRS T .22 600mm

I’m actually very much on the fence as to whether I want to sell this one or not. Bought it on a whim because I wanted to try the DRS and didn’t disappoint. The only reason I’m considering letting it go is its look. It’s getting spring/summer so I’ll move to shooting outside again (as opposed to out of the basement window). Neighbors who could potentially see me are cool with my shooting and at least 200ft away anyway but not sure whether I want to sit out there with an AR lookalike… I set it up for 18gr at 895 and have about 500 shots through it I guess. Now here’s the reason why I really struggle with letting it go (shot the string and 5 shot groups at 45y a couple of hours ago for this add and got even more on the fence after… 6-7mph wind):

IMG_5928.png

IMG_5930.jpeg

IMG_5931.jpeg

IMG_5932.jpeg

Granted, the true one hole group doesn’t happen every time but the other one is representative for the gun with AEA 18gr and the dime does not only cover the ragged hole but the splatter as well (and then some). Took it out to 70 in the past, similar results, 1/2 inch groups absolutely doable and repeatable. You get about 5-6 mags out of it at that time (that’s 65-75 shots!).

MATH WAS OFF, PRICE ADJUSTED: $1080 1030 shipped CONUS with the hogue stock, $1000 950 with the one it comes with. Scope, rings and bipod not included. All other OEM stuff it comes with included. I know used is used but this thing is exceptional so 15-20%ish discount over new (not considering tax), out of stock and who knows tariff impact seems fair. If it doesn’t sell I’ll keep it happily and call it destiny ;)

FX  Cape Fear Impact M3

I respect the gunsmiths who build custom benchrest rifles such as Mr. Niksch, Mr. Piatt, and Mr. Langley.

I own their rifles, know their quality and cherish their precision.

I enjoy my two M3s. When shot from a bipod and my shoulder they are a fantastic rifle to shoot.

My 30 cal M3, I purchased used and it shot okay.

Sent it to Mr. Buck, owner of Cape Fear AG LLC, and requested he refurbish it and tune it for 60 yard accuracy.

The rifle went to him like this:
20240831_113706.jpg

Came back like this:
20250416_151319.jpg

I was very impressed yesterday with how accurate this rifle is at 60 yards with wind speed from 10 to 14 mph gusting 16 to 24 out of the W, WNW with a less than "Sharp Shooter" grade ground to trigger interface!

The changes to the trigger made by Mr. Buck made the first stage crisp and the second stage snap like a very, very thin glass needle. I could take in the first stage, hold for the correct wind-breath-target-POA and just think squeeze and the shot was sent. This trigger tune is very, very consistent.

The plenum pressure, air valve, macro and micro settings for a 600 mm barrel launching 45 grain diabolos 60 yards is spot on!

Mr. Buck is one hell of a good gunsmith!

Wish I could shoot to the high level his workmanship deserves.

Lightest ffp scope offering with a budget

I’ve been busting on my vet 2 this whole time for being heavy, but after removing the scope (which came already in it), it’s much much lighter. Got me thinking. I’d definitely keep it if I could find a replacement that was lighter, but I’m not spending the same on the scope as I spend on the rifle. What’s out there for budget lightweight scopes that are ffp?

Thanks in advance.

RAW Rapid  Raw HM1000X: Damned moderator

Hi everyone,
Not long ago, I got a RAW HM1000x in .22 caliber with the integrated moderator (unfortunately), not the offset version. The issue I'm having is that it's pretty loud, since the built-in moderator is basically useless—and there's not much information online.

I know DonnyFL sells an adapter, but I don’t want to add more weight to the barrel by attaching a big moderator like the Ronin along with the adapter. After contacting RAW USA, they told me I could remove the integrated moderator and use a longer carbon fiber shroud with a threaded 1/2 UNF end cap they sell.

So here are my questions, especially since it’s impossible for me to send the rifle from Spain to the US:

1. Is it difficult to remove the integrated moderator? I believe it’s secured with some epoxy and set screws. Will it come off with heat?

2. After removing the moderator, I also need to take off the original carbon fiber shroud. My question is the same—can it be removed easily? Are there simple methods to take it off? Can heat be safely applied to the carbon shroud if that’s the only way?

3. Given all these complications, I considered buying a new barrel for the RAW HM1000X. RAW USA told me they can’t ship barrels to Spain, and I haven’t been able to find RAW barrels anywhere. They don’t seem to be sold in stores. Can anyone tell me where to find a RAW or at least a compatible barrel?

Any help is much appreciated. It’s surprising how little information is out there for such an extraordinary air rifle.

FX  FX DRS Classic V2 - Wish List

Now that the FX DRS Classic rifle(s) have been out for a year and folks have had a chance to evaluate them, what would you like to see changed in a V2 version?

1- Front Sling Swivel Stud

2- Do away with the three current barrels length options and offer the rifle in the best compromise length of 550mm (Classis Version).

3- Slightly larger plenum/mag

4- Offer a suppressor that matches the O.D. and finish of the stock air tube/barrel.

Please, agree, disagree and, or add your own thoughts about changes for a V2 DRS Classic rifle.

Light vs heavy slug expansion

hey everyone

I’m in the beginning stages of my higher power pesting quest and playing around with slugs. I‘m partial to a lighter slug as, according to my logic, they would expand more violently, lose power faster (less chance of harmfull ricochet),… I’m not too worried about range right now as I’m only comfortable taking shots up to 55 yards tops at the moment. (distance I can consistently hit .5 of an inch at this point in time). Because I lack any practical experience with slugs in airrifles I’d love to hear you guys chime in with experience!

thanks and happy pesting,

PCP Rifle  WTS Spring Cleaning - Edgun Leshiy 2 30 cal (SOLD), Cricket 2 Bullpup 30 cal (NLA), Brocock Sniper XR 22 cal

Time to thin the herd a bit to make way for a new calve coming soon on that magic brown truck.
My wife is a little tired of seeing our bedroom looking like a gun shop, and her dresser (which faces the backyard woods) covered with countless tins of pellets and the Caldwell sitting there :) So, happy wife, happy life :)
All rifles pictured below are up for sale excepting the gray laminate FX Royale 500.
The Edgun and Brocock are fairly recent purchases, the Cricket was purchased and tuned by Charlie at Georgia Airguns in 2022.
All three have been tuned to shoot like lasers after a little care working with each one.
The Edgun was originally purchased in 177 250mm but I've since upgraded to a 30 cal 350mm barrel. I'll include all of the 177 equipment with the gun, also the original tube that was removed to accommodate the 350cc carbon tank.
It's extremely pellet friendly, but is in LOVE with the FX 44 & 50 grains.
The Brocock will shoot just about anything you put in it, but LOVES the JSB 18.13 grains.
I've recently toyed with the tune on it and currently have it set up to shoot the H&N 21gr slugs about as well as pellets.
The Cricket is an absolute beast putting out right at 90ft/lbs with the FX 50 grains.
Been protecting the birdfeeder with it lately and it will just about rip a squirrel in half with a well placed Hades.

Edgun - $2,300 - Check this gun out on Edgun West, it's the Leshiy 2 Wolverine that lists for close to $,2800
Edgun and 177 caliber accessories SOLD!
Brocock - $1,000 - Price drop to $900.00
Cricket - $1,000 - Price drop to $900.00 NLA

All three come without the scopes and cans on the end, except for the Brocock and I'll put the 0db can on it, as that's how it came to me.

I accept only Paypal F&F, unless you're willing to pay that extra % fee.
No trade offers please!
Shipped to CONUS only.
Let me know if you're interested in any of them and I'll box it up, weigh it and use your zip code on PirateShip for a shipping cost and split that 50/50 with you.
Please send me a private PM if you're interested in Facetiming and looking at any of the rifles or want close up pics of them. All are in perfect shape!

Feel free to check my credibility on here, as I've sold countless rifles here, and on the old YellowForum (if that even still exists).

Warmest Regards

RTI  🤔 KnockOut Slugs Falling Out Of OEM Magazine?!?

🤔 KnockOut Slugs Falling Out Of OEM Magazine?!?

I was shooting .25cal JSB KnockOut slugs from an RTI Prophet 3. The MKII with the flared skirts.

But many slugs fell out of my OEM magazine when I simply tilted the gun at a 45⁰ angle upwards....

▪ Do the KO's just not like the RTI OEM mags?
▪ Are aftermarket mags the solution to using KO's (because I liked their precision at 100m)?

▪ What .25cal slugs DO work in the RTI OEM mag.?

Thanks for your help! 😃
Matthias

Other  Taipan shroud on a Ghost?!?

Yep!

My personal opinion is that the original Veteran came with the most effective OEM shroud/husher of any airgun that I've played with. They're aluminum walled, aluminum baffled, reflex type shrouds, that are essentially moderators. And moderators of a much better (more effective) design than many actual moderators.

Well, I figured out a way to install a shroud from a Vet Long onto my .20 Ghost. Since both the Vet and the Ghost use 15mm OD barrels, it wasn't too tough, just required a thread conversion to go from BRK barrel thread to 1/2x20.

The conversion makes the Ghost about 5/8" longer than an OEM BRK shroud. And my oh my my does it quiet things down!

Ghost isn't ever going to be the quietest airgun around, just too much inherent action noise. But this certainly helped. With this Vet shroud, adding a moderator on the end of the shroud doesn't make it any quieter, so I've got all the muzzle noise contained that is possible to contain. And without making it a big long broomstick like happens when you run a moderator on the end of the shroud.

And the Vet Long shroud that i tracked down is one of the more matte ones, so it matches the matte chassis of the Ghost rather well. Going to run it this way for a while and see what I think. From first impressions, it's seeming like it'll be like this from now on.

Not the greatest photo but this is what I've got....

CS4 arrived, my first pcp compressor.

Quite a bit of water was in the packaging, and on the unit, and the authenticity tag was very wet.
I want to move into pcp air rifles. The farmer above sold his land, and a 512-home subdivision is being built above our farm. Our farmland moves opposite the subdivision into the woods/river. But that has not stopped them from complaining about chainsaws, tractors, and our fences.

  • Question
Most variety of diameters only in .22 - why is that? And why undersized?

Why is it that in “.22” cal, most major manufacturers offer .217 and .218 (so they’re undersized quite a bit, and Nielsen goes all the way from .216 up to .219, yet in .25 it’s mainly .25 only, with a few .249 (under), or a big jump to .253 (over). In .30, that’s it, with patriot and Nielsen offering .301 and .303 as well - no under sizing…

Air Arms  TX200 splits breach seals

Hello and good morning.

A friend of mine has a TX200 that splits the top breach seal. He has replaced the compression tube thinking there may be a bur cutting the seal but it did not take care of the problem.

I will ask him for a picture, but it basically is cutting the seal around the top edge and then the seal flowers out around the barrel breach.

Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
