Umarex  Zelos bottle conversion/regulator

I tried to find an adapter and couldn’t at the time.
This is the Huben. If you’re going to spend $135 on that regulator this might be an option.View attachment 569408
I wss going to go that route but the fact the other one comes with a bottle for the same price is enticing. No doubt the huben will be better quality though.

First fill with Alkin Issue with gauge "plug"

When you move the Alkin lever from horizontal (open) position to vertical all you are doing is relieving the pressure from the Alkin fill hose to the fill assembly. It is doing the same thing as opening the bleed valve on your fill assembly. You are depressurizing the fill valve assembly so the Alkin hose can be detached under no pressure. So it wasn't an incorrect procedure on your part that caused the gauge plug to pop off. I can't imagine what happened to you other than it was coincidental. It indicates a leaking defective fill valve gauge but it should have happened before you flipped the lever up.

After I fill with my Alkin I close the tank valve first, shut off the compressor power switch, flip up the Alkin hose lever, detach the lever from the tank, drain the left side tower drains, then the right side air filter drain, then I release the pressure in the Alkin fill hose by moving it from vertical back to horizontal.
Great information sir! I have asked my neighbor ( his tank and fill assembly) to check the gauge in question by inserting the fill probe into his Gamo Urban and open the SCBA valve and check the gauge for pressure.
I’ll keep on him and see what the verdict is. Thanks again!

I don't believe Shane does the actual warranty work. He's the go between. The guy who does (or at least used to do) the actual work there is a hell of a good guy with a very bad speech impediment. It's near impossible to get him on the phone. Shane manages the warranty work and is the voice for the other gentleman who's name unfortunately eludes me.
Who ever it was, I was impressed!

CS4-I Portable PCP Air Compressor

I highly recommend the new filter GX Pump is selling. They are currently out of stock, but it would be worth the wait to get one.

I have one on my CS-4 and I live in Florida. I can saw that it does an excellent job removing moisture. It's also rated to 5000 psi, so it works well with the CS-4!
Thank you for the info!

FX 30 cal 1:22 TR liner = CRAP

Try the 1:22 twist rate barrel with heaver slugs 62 to 64 grain throw as much power to it
as you can 1020-1030 fps is best I know a couple of guys shooting that barrel its good.

Not all of those barrels are created equal and there was even a left hand and a right hand twist made.

Thanks, That is very aggressive, probably need to change hammer weight too,

Airgun Technologies  Uragan 3 noisy

I'm shooting 15.89 Hades @900 with my U3 Compact. No noise issues for me and it's got an STO FALX that keeps the muzzle bark really low so I figure I would notice if there was an annoying ping. I'm shooting it as I received it 2nd hand, no tuning. Synthetic stock may help keep it damped?

Lekatchka Airgun FT (Venice, FL) Match Report June 1, 2025
Posted by Gary P. for our Field Target match director, Ron Guiliano.
Note from poster: It's Hot as heck down here already. With Rain threatening, seemed a good compromise to make it a shorter 48 shot match instead of cancelling.

Hello FT shooters,

Sorry for the delayed match report, but better late than never!

Sunday June 1st started out a bit soggy as rain moved into the area overnight. The setup crew had fortunately staged all 11 lanes two days before the shoot so we didn't have much to do Sunday morning. Nine brave souls showed up by 8am and decided to wait out the rain under the pavilion. The setup crew went out about 8:30a to put out targets and pull strings. After a brief shower and a few rumbles of thunder it was time to sling some lead! The ground was a bit wet but that didn't deter anyone from shooting the challenging 48 shot, 30.1 troyer match that awaited them. All in all the weather turned out great with lower humidity and partly cloudy skies for the remainder of the shoot. Congrats to Gary Palinkas for narrowly taking the top gun position with an impressive 47/48 ..... great shooting brother!!! Below are the final results for your review. Congrats to all the top shooters in their classes. Stay cool this summer and we hope to see everyone in Sept when we start shooting again!

Thx, Ron G ..... AKA EMD2😈

Leupold MARK 3HD 3-9X40 P5 MILDOT

On my FX Wildcat Mk3 .25 cal, ive got an arken epl4 6-24. It is so freakin busy it all gets in the way (for this ground squirrels at 100 yds plus minus country boy). I hav leupold bx1 with a duplex rreticle. I love it but would like a mildot reticle. i like the simple range hold off of a mildot reticle. Fixed parallax on the Mark 3HD is 150 yds. Vs the VX1 at 60 yds so my question… if im shooting inside 100 yds, is that still reasonably focused so as not to cause much of an inherent offset?

many thanks in advance

PCPs to the rifle range !

Last time I went to the gun range I felt totally outgunned. Showed up with my FX Impact and had to set up between a guy shooting a 700 Winchester and another guy shooting a 6.5 Creedmore. Needless to say it was a pretty noisy affair. When I pulled out my airtank, they couldn't decide if they wanted to start running, or start crying! LOL
One of my favorites was the guy shooting .308 Winchester who was complaining about the noise from my GX CS3 compressor.

Springer vs. PCP

I don't believe that theTX200 is made in a stainless steel model. Air Arms is famous for their perfect blueing, quite satisfactory on my TX200 after more than 5 years. If the stainless look is important to you, several fine Weihrauch springers are sold through Air Guns of Arizona have the stainless look.
Did I mention stainless?

Snowpeak  P35X versus P35

My comment on regulator adjustment is not correct. I think you have less than a turn of total adjustment possible on the regulator. I would not turn it more than a quarter turn at a time from the factory setting. I have a couple SPA regulators that are not working and I think it is because I turned them up too much. They leak and I think the plastic seal piece for the adjustment screw is too dented to seal well. So please don't think in terms of half or full turns of the regulator. Unlike a Huma regulator that little plastic piece is not easily replaceable on a SPA regulator. I am going to try anyway sometime soon. Nothing to loose at this point. A Huma disc looks like it will work if I can get the old one out.

If you have a leaking poppet like I used to, valve grinding paste from the autoparts store will allow you to lap the valve to the seat and eliminate the leak. I used it on a plastic P35 valve and a brass P35X valve. I put the piece of the valve where the spring slides on into the chuck of a drill, a dab of the paste on the sealing surface of the valve and let the drill turn the valve against the seat piece for a minute or so. This was easier than I thought it would be.

Another comment I have on the P35X after living with it awhile is that the access to the regulator is noticably worse than the P35 because the plenum is larger diameter. To remove the airtube to access the regulator from the back you have to disconnect the barrel and the trigger mechanism so you can twist them out of the way to remove the airtube towards the action. Not terrible but significantly more work than just loosening the clamps for the airtube & barrel and unscrewing the airtube. Access through the gauge end is the same for both but it's harder to make small adjustments through that end of the airtube. If the regulator has been removed recently you also may not be able to loosen the lock nut through the gauge end, the regulator may turn in the airtube.

Trying to research and understand which types of filters are preferred and where best to install them on a new airgun compressor.

Some folks will say that they run their home compressor in the basement of an air-conditioned house. Even with air conditioning, the humidity is between 30% and 50%. Air coming out of a molecular sieve will be .1% and most likely less than that. The dryer your air, the better, that’s why some airgunners will use nitrogen because it darn near or is 0.0% humidity/moisture.
To each his own as to how they run their guns.
Often, your budget has somewhat of a correlation to how dry you process your air.

Huben  Best DonnyFL for the GK1- balancing size and sound reduction?

I love the look of the 2.75" shorty and it tames it enough for me, check out this thread for many options for your GK1,
