Want to Start a Youtube Channel? Here are the Basics of Posting to Youtube (Video)

Thinking of starting an airgun related Youtube channel? That is a terrible idea. ...but if your going to do it anyway, here are some tips on how to post a Youtube video in 2025, and gain every possible advantage.

If you make a channel about almost anything else in the world, you will likely be successful, making 6 figures after a couple years (just off ads). If you choose guns, you will be fighting Youtube and shadow bans the whole time. I made this video for a couple friends who are doing channels. Good luck! -Nate

Huben  Huben GK1 not precise at all. What I am doing wrong?

I finally put some serious time to the pistol, and no matter what I do, I can't get good groups.

I tried many pellet shapes and power configs, the best results seem to be with some norica light slugs (1.8gr) at around 20 joule, yet the pistol shoots out of the group when she feels like it. I'm using tripod and resting bag, 10 meters, and it's a disaster.

Even more, changing pellet or power config means not only a slight comprehensible deviation, but not even hitting the board and re-starting again.

Laser boresight adjustment... useless even as a reference, leaving a perfect pellet + power config that more or less works (yet she always puts random shoots far out the group) and next day it changed completelly the POI. It's exasperating and I'm about to give up, and yes I cleaned the barrel, shoot with and without silencer etc...

I am behing too exigent with the pistol? Because I have 50 buck plinkers more precise than this and I'm feeling ripped off. Some of your shoot results on the treath are more or less comparable with mine, but some that have putted a dim tight group... with what pellet power config?

Is it just that it is very picky with ammo?
What caliber?

N/A  Off the Shelf?

Not sure how close the matches are as I’ve never watched or competed at either but when I shot competitive rimfire matches where scores were decided in decimals I shot well enough with a single shot savage that was off the wall. It also doubled as my hunting gun. I shot well enough to qualify for tryouts on the Olympic team. This was a 120$ gun at the time vs several 2 k rigs.
So win prolly not but do well I would says its possible if you find the right guy.

Air venturi rovair

Hello,
I have an Air Venturi Rovair 4500 that I am putting back together.
Trying to get the correct orientation of the HO cylinder assembly. The pics I took prior to disassembly disappeared. Have it repacked but am unsure how to click them. The drawings I have of the Air Venturi RovAir High Pressure Cylinder Head and Air Venturi RovAir High-Pressure Cylinder do not have a top down views.
If anyone has pictures they could post it would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

N/A  Aigunsmithing Tools - Advice and Suggestions

I'm pretty minimalist. Cleaning barrels is almost always done with it on the rifle, using a pull-through, the gun either lying on a memory foam pad or in a basic rifle rest.

For light bore work such as sweeping felts with J-B back and forth to knock down surface fretting, I simply clamp the barrel lightly in my woodworking clamp. The jaws are wood so no concern about damaging the surface or even disturbing bluing or anything of that nature. Example clamping the thin tube of a old Crosman 310 pumper, preparing to resolder the barrel and tube:

Recrowning I usually do with the barrel clamped vertically in the same vise. Brass screw method described in my how-to guide.

A set of soft jaws for a bench vise is handy for other operations:

Sorting and weighing pellets for vertical accuracy improvement:

As a plinker and casual shooter I shoot mostly straight from the tin but I do use sorted (weight and head size) pellets when testing, tuning and serious target work.

I'm seeing similar sorting results as mentioned above and am not surprised. Tins are filled with pellets produced from multiple swaging machines, with dies that may be slightly different do to tolerances and wear. Tolerances in the lead wire feedstock alloy and diameter can have a bearing on the finished product. Thermal change as the swaging machine comes up to temperature after starting a new production run or vibrations from external sources can impact consistency.

Outliers and damaged pellets aside (literally) the average shooter, using common airguns, at typical ranges, is not going to see much difference with shooting straight from the tin. Skilled shooters using finely tuned precision airguns at longer ranges will benefit from sorting pellets.

All considered, I think most decent brands of pellets are pretty good for typical use. Serious competitors would probably disagree with me. 😉

Cheers!
I agree! If you have time to sort, you would probably see a benefit If using the most common pellet manufacturers. But if you buy the brands known for better quality control and consistency out of the tin, sorting is not all that practical. Time + Benefit = ?

extra plenum made by Raw

I have one that was made long before RAW offered them for sale but it's almost exactly the same. It was made by a friend of a friend that works at Utah Airguns. There are a quite a few posts about it here on AGN. Yes, they do work and will increase velocity. If I remember correctly, I gained 35-40fps when using the .25, Varmint Knocker 32.8gr or Zan 33gr slugs without having to crank the hammer spring or regulator. I made other internal modifications too, so your results will differ, but I went from about 945fps to 980-985fps. It's a great accessory for a terrific airgun. You'll love it!
Have a great weekend!

I attached a photo. Even with a 700cc bottle, it Doesn't look out of place.

Looking for an Airgun Collector

Hello. I hope this isn't breaking any rules. I see that there is a Classified Forum, but I don't have the time or knowledge currently to try to sell individual airguns. I need to sell around 80 airguns. Most of them are antique, and I know enough to know some of them are quite valuable. I'm looking for someone who might be interested in buying part or all of this collection. It would have to be someone from the Pacific Northwest, as I also don't have the time to pack and ship that many guns. We could and probably should do any exchange with law enforcement present, just to be sure everyone is on the up-and-up. I am starting to catalog and value these airguns now. If you are interested or can point me in the direction of individuals or entities that might be interested, please let me know.
You can not sell or advertise on AGN until you meet the requirements - please review the rules

Hard Cast in .357 big bore

I forgot not everybody interested in this is equipped to do all the stuff I mentioned including sizing. Theres the stabilization calculations for your velocity and twist rate too. A long truncated cone would cause issues if you were not well equipped for it.

But.... Like I always encourage people to do. Ignore the forum dogma and try it for yourself. Then you know for sure it won't work. Like when I was casting and loading 38 round balls or making shots shells with gas checks... Some said it couldn't be done. It worked
When it's your gear that you spent your money on, sometimes it's just worth it to try things after you've done some reading and inquiring. I've done enough things with my airguns to have come to a similar conclusion. I have several posts (some with photos) of my results of trying or doing things that other members told me that I could not do successfully. One example was that I was told my Benjamin Bulldog M357 could not shoot 180 grain slugs, but it did. Keep in mind that success is subjective. What works in my guns may not work in yours. What's acceptable to me may be unacceptable to someone else. I've shot relatively cheap cowboy reload bullets (as slugs) from my Benjamin Bulldog M357 and I like them aside from the dry lube getting all over an inside of my mags. The bottom line is try some things for yourself if you have not encountered information that leads you to believe that doing so will be detrimental to you or your equipment.

AEA  (Plinking,,,,,,,with a big bore

That's a great shot string and awesome groups with that low a starting pressure. That 600cc tank must really help. I typically run my .510 Element Max at around 3800 - 4000 psi to start and get only 3 good shots with 4th at lower velocity. I think my best string using a 310 gr slug from an Arsenal mold: 862.3 fps, 817.2 fps, and 782.9 fps. I've only got the standard 350cc tank on mine. I like to shoot mine other than hunting too.

N/A  TX200, Light wind, Steady rain, 50yds

So as I was getting done I saw a steel plate hanging at 100 yards. Images it was 12x14, pretty good size? I have never tried a .177 at 100yds. Gotta try this. Shot 2 shots using just a bit more holdover than I use with my D54 in .22. Tink, tink. I will be using paper next time.
100 yards 12 ft/lbs with 8.44, thats good stuff even on big steel. Next time use paper for sure!
