Raining outside but Sunshine in my Heart

Hello everyone

Is that title a bit hokey, sorry about that. It is raining outside but I just had to shoot the Crown some today so I improvised a bit. I sat the Big Bang Pellet Trap and Stand out under my carport and turned the Bench around in the shop and opened the door. Now I am set up at 10-meters to shoot as much as I want to today. Shot a warm up target and did pretty good (y) , so I decided to give a try at the General Target and got really lucky and shot a 200 score :D. That gave me a good bit of confidence so I opted to go for the big one, The 8 by 8 Competition Target.
Ok bare with me a bit here, this is where the Sunshine comes into play, I shot a perfect score of 160 which I have never done before . I have always missed at least one of those dang little center circles where if you miss you get ZERO points and it just kills your score. Wohooooo a 160, I’m going to shoot some more :D.

AAA Paradigm

Well my new rifle is in the house! This one is in the 22 version and so far with chronograph testing I am getting an average of 1.9 on the standard deviation.

Have the rifle topped with a Tract Torric and an loving the combination. Not to wait for summer to get some groups.

Have been shooting the 18.1 grain pellets and am getting an average of 1030fps! The regulator is at around 2100 psi currently and wondering if that is a bit to much. Either that or I need to upgrade the pellet stash to the 25.4 pellets.

New Year, New Gun. And its my first Gamo

I recently sold off the last of my Pcps (except one) and have only my TX200 in .177 remaining. This left a gap and I wanted to fill it with a springer in 22cal but I needed it to be powerful. I do all my small game hunting with air rifles and I am lucky enough to have access to over 180 acres of pristine private hunting land. On this land the coons have been slowly getting a little out of control due to my wife feeding deer like we were hired to do so... So I decided to pick up my first ever Gamo and grabbed a Gamo Magnum 22 swarm Gen3i.

Reasons for Gamo purchase:
Weight (if you ever owned magnum springers you'll know what I mean) This rifle is super light compared to any of the others I have owned.
Stock- I am a sucker for thumbhole (pistol grip) stocks and I have realized they are my preferred grip for shooting accurately.
Power- This thing packs a punch
Ease of use- I have had many airguns, and I have lost interest in pcps. I love self-contained guns and this thing is able to hit hard but still be self-contained.
Gas ram- As i stated I due all my small game hunting with air rifles and its so nice to be able to leave it cocked for hours with no worry. Also being as powerful as it is, I can only imagine a Gamo spring at that power level being almost unbearable.
Accuracy- This was a gamble on my end but I must of gotten a good one. This thing loves Crosman domed 14.3g pellets out to 35y which is the average distance I shoot my game so its perfect. Its far more consistent than I saw on the youtube reviews and I am using the bundled optic.
Magazine- At first I wasn't too worried about a magazine-fed springer/gas ram break barrel but wow what a difference. Although its not the easiest to cock, having those 10 shots fed from a mag instead of your cold or fumbling fingers is a huge improvement. You can keep your eye on game if you missed or got a nice shot on it and need to track its movement, but still cock the gun without looking at it. That's a really big feature for me, and the ability to pop in a mag, not have the gun cocked and then toss a spare mag or two in the pocket makes for some really fast follow-ups when out in the woods.

Overall I am impressed as I have never been a Gamo fan, but I also never owned one so maybe that was just me being numb to their practices but its a great gun. The stock feels fantastic and the included optic is great (if it lasts) but seems very well built for a bundled gamo scope. My wife shoots this gun off-hand at 35y with no hold sensitivity issues and I haven't noticed any either. The shot cycle is abrupt and fairly quiet with reasonable recoil. I would say I have no regrets for this purchase and I am glad I can not smack squirrels with 26ftlbs and not need a pcp to do it! As I stated, the big reason I went with this gun and not other magnums is the stock shape and the rifle weight. To me you just can't beat it and it doesn't break the bank either.

Would you buy one?

Crosman, Umerex or some other manufacturer should revive the SA6 in a new configuration. Imagine a improved pistol carbine similar to the SA6. The pistol of the time worked nicely, except now it has cylinder/barrel seal. and better sights. Loading in the cylinder port like a Ruger or Heritage .22 revolver It also sports a cylinder for two co2 cartridges or PCP. With a good barrel. Leaving it a single action. Your choice. Was available in .177 or .22 for co2 or .177 - .25 for PCP.
Would you buy one?

I have a little selection of stuff I'm making for the Panthera. Everything at the moment is made using either a FDM or Resin 3d printer (depending on the application).

Working on getting a space set up for a CNC mill and will start producing some of these items and more in aluminum at some point this year. But till then, the 3d print d stuff has been holding up great.

Bag rider: $25+ s&h. Bag rider slide under stock. Has rear support that uses the stock rods for support. Matte Black (color) PETG (material). NOTE: With the rear brace for the bag rider, the Length of pull will be increased 7-8mm

The most compact PCP action

As I’m reassembling my huben, I’m reminded how small the action is. Does not cease to amaze me. The inventor somehow managed to fit an auto indexing system, not one but TWO valves, striker, hammer, spring, and trigger parts all in a block that’s smaller than a credit card!
BC934757-2F04-49D8-9FCF-6DF1C514C5C0.jpeg

Even more amazing is how this small of an action can put out almost 100 fpe! (In .25) I’m not aware of another platform that can put out that much energy from that small of an action.

Now only if huben could make a wood stocked carbine, that would be drool worthy

  • Question
I have 2.5 cans of 25 cal pellets.

Would it be justifable to just buy another airgun to shoot them up?i have no other 25. I returned the 25 and had the pellets left over,im at a point where i caint seem to help myself?? i would be to embarrassed to go to a therapist to try to explain this?I thought some one on here might have had a similar situation?

SOLD AEA 30/32" barrel + MUELLER 8-32X, 44MM MIL DOT SCOPE $375 (i ship)

Hello guys!
(UPDATED PHOTOS WITH PHONE)

Been off awhile.
Currently trying to sell my AEA .30/32" to reregister my truck. Duty calls, oh well. All material stuff that will come back around.
It blew the mag when the cheap factory breech oring lost a chunk. So it needs that and a new mag. Metal ones are about $45. Scope retailed for $279, and was replaced under lifetime warranty 2-3 years ago. I have a short vid clip shooting it across the water (in safe direction) at night, 47-grain slug supersonic at night, 1300 fps. It is no joke!!!
I've sold an Impact .25 and a Huben .25 on this forum or GTA; I think GTA, it's been a year or so, and since all the crooked stuff going on, had to get my post count back up, as it had doubles the minimum requirements. Anyone needs confirmation from other dealings, I will go back to see who I dealt with.
Bore has been polished with JB Bore-brite already, cleans very easily.
I'll even let the exrea-nice strap go with if it sells this weekend, I installed swivels on it too.
Thanks, guys!

Finally got some wood

Been wanting wood grips for the Zoraki since the day I got it. The plastic grips aren’t bad it’s just..the whole damn gun is plastic and some wood makes it feel more durable. Well I found these wood grips from an eBay seller located in Germany. Same seller that makes the really cool looking foregrip for the P-rod. They looked decent enough, made from walnut, and the price was phenomenal(compared to rink grips). After a few weeks wait I received them and slapped them on the gun only to have my excitement turn into disappointment. They feel like I’m holding a 2x4. The finger grooves were designed for elf hands. And the fit and finish on these are the work of someone who rushed the job or lacks the skills for fine woodworking. I should’ve known by the price. On the bright side it’s walnut and there’s enough wood to sand it down and make it my own.

FOUND Cheapie 22 PCP..

Looking to get into the PCP small bore game and can't spend loads of dough currently. Don't have to be perfect, prefer synthetic bullpups, if I can install a regulator and tune it that's fine. Not afraid to crack into something and so I don't wanna have lots of $$$ in something I may mess up.

Planning to pick up an AvengeX when they release to deal with range and accuracy more.

So cheapie 22 PCP... Pm me what ya have and what price shipped to Reno, NV.

Looking back, it seems there were a number of Avenger pups that were up for rehoming. If ya come across one or have one that needs a new home pm me details.

My last group ever with an air arms pro elite 177, I think the new owner will be smiling.

This one sold yesterday, I talked the new owner into having me put the Bushnell tactical on top for him and site it in. Probably just wanted to shoot it one more time.

I cited it in, shot a group in the snow across the creek, they all seemed to go in one hole @ 65 yds.

10.3 jsb

So I came back into 42 yards. And shot this 5 shot group off my arm which was rested on the windowsill. As you can see they are all touching. It doesn’t get any better than that.

Mike

Under $100 GoTo/avoids

Time to shake things up🤪🤙
*might help newcomers*
Say you have:

> $100 plus tax included max
>can only purchase 1 pellet slinger
>Have to recommend one to avoid in that price range
>* you had to personally use the purchsed one and only that one for a year; should help with deciding on longevity overall
😵‍💫😅🤷‍♂️🤣

Post your picks!!

*I will post mine when I figure out my answer🤦‍♂️🤣

My new Airacuda .25

I just had to show it off. First thing is the stock in all the reviews that I have seen are a much, much lighter wood stain.
mine is very dark, which I love because now I don't have to stain it myself.
the lever really is butter smooth, trigger is very light right out of the box.
I hand pump so it was about 200 pumps (give or take) to 300 bar...with giving the pump a few rests about 20 minutes in total.
going to be playing with this a lot.
waiting on some 43 grain slugs running 30 grain now.
I will try to update when I get a chrony...might put the wraith on later for some pesting.
