Traveling to FL from OH to hunt. Mail my gear, or bring in checked luggage?

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking to take a trip to FL in a month or so to do some iguana hunting. I've seen mixed stories of trying to fly with my rifle and air tanks. Could anyone comment on whether it may be a better idea to ship my rifle to my destination ahead of my arrival, avoiding airports and TSA altogether?

Thanks,

Josh

RTI ARMS SHOP RETURN

Hello,

Have you ever encountered any issues with returning a weapon through RTI Arms Shop? I made a return and on January 21st I received an email stating that I would receive my money back within 14 days. However, as of today, I haven’t received anything and I haven’t been able to contact anyone there. I sent an email over a week ago but haven’t received any response, and on WhatsApp, they have no information regarding the return .
What should I do??? How to contact them?

What do you recommend I do in this situation?

N/A  New member here in the rabbit hole!! HELP 🙏🙏

Just found this wonderful world of PCP rifles. I'm wanting to purchase a nice all around unit with minimal issues. I'm leaning towards a .25 or .30 cal PCP that is modular or foldable stock so I can backpack it. I'd like something good for about 50-100 yards that I can hunt and target practice with. Maybe something around a 400cc tank. Let me know if there's anything like this please. I noticed most guys end up with ten or more guns before they find out what they like. I'm hoping I can avoid that 😂

If You Have Never Used Burris Signature Rings....

This is aimed at those who have never tried them. Due to a scope failure I needed to switch a scope for an upcoming match. The mount and all went from gun A to Gun B. Put a 3ft square of paper up at 20 meters. Bang, no cigar. Ok, reset both turrents to center. Bang , no cigar but worth a 1 pellet try. Moved to 10 yards . Bang , caught outer edge of paper at 8:00. Now we are getting somewhere. So since you want to aim the front of the scope towards where you hit I decided to try adjusting the rear inserts only first.I removed the rear rig top and loosened the front ring top a bit so the scope could freely realign itself. The fat half of the rear ring insert I rotated to 2:00 while rotating the thinner half to 8:00. Tightened up the rings with my torque wrench to 17 inch lbs. Bang, now instead of 15 inches or so away it's 2 inches. Adjust turrents, bang, hit my 1/4 inch aiming point. Scope is close optical center, zeroed at 20 meters, and it all took about 15 minutes. Gotta love those Burris Signature rings with inserts. Don't read the directions on adjutment, they confuse me. Just aim the front of the scope to where your shot hit. Always a plus insert and a minus insert in each ring or a pair of zero inserts.

N/A  Red Wolf or quit the hobby?

I bought my first PCP a few years ago. A FX Crown MK2.

I won’t bore you with all the details but basically I’m completely fed up with it. The POI is constantly changing and I’ve lost all confidence in it.

I understand there are tons of variables that can cause POI issues. Screws, scopes, cleaning, parallax, hold sensitivity, wind, temperature, velocity, ammo, shooter error and so on. I can assure you these variables have been addressed and one by one.

I can’t put it on the classifieds and say it functions well because it doesn’t. Despite shooting dime sized groups at 50 yards! So I’m out a lot of time and money.

So I guess my question is this-
What quality, non bull-pup PCP airgun is least likely to have this issue and why?

Daystate red wolfs seem to be somewhat popular in FT. And that requires a zero that doesn’t constantly shift. Being electronic from what I understand, they are mostly immune to temperature induced velocity fluctuations. This is a big plus for me.

They do have a barrel that slips into the receiver and is held into the receiver with set screws though. And they do have a shroud. So the barrel setup doesn’t look too dissimilar to the Crown. So can I really trust that I won’t have the same issue?

Thanks!

Hill 3000 (310) or JTS Comp100 compressor for FX Impact M4 & buddy bottles?

Hello world,

This is my first post here.

I’m diving into the deep end of (hopefully) quality airgun items.

I currently have an Umarex Origin kit with the pump. I’m retired. I’m done pumping haha.

I have a Ninja EZ PCP 90ci 4500 Carbon Fiber Air Tank which is handy - but there is no way for me to fill it other than a half hour drive to the paintball shop, which got old quick.

I am buying a FX Impact M4 Standard in that nice copper color. It he a 480cc tank that fills to 3625psi/250 bar.

I’ve narrowed down my compressor search to the Hill 310, or the JTS Comp100.

Fill speed isn’t as important to me as the long term durability of the pump, which is why I’m leaning towards the Hill. It just appears as if it would stress itself less, and I love the idea of that auto purge valve.

I’d appreciate any insights from those of you have used one of both of these as to the issues you’ve had, ease of maintenance, long term use, etc. any information would be appreciated!

Thanks for your time!

FX 33.95 grain 25 caliber?

Noticed these seem to be out of stock most places. Now the really weird thing. At Utah Airguns they don’t even come up in 25 FX pellets. It doesn’t appear this is due to them being out of stock because the fx 25.39 grain appear on their site and those are out of stock. Are they going to stop making the FX 33.95? Can’t imagine that but why don’t they even exist on their site anymore? I really hope not as I find them to perform equal to JSB and are cheaper. Anyone heard anything?

Diana  Find airgun I had as a Teenager

In the late 70s, I bought an airgun that I believe was a Diana. It was sold by a outdoor sporting mail order company that I cannot remember the name but it is out of business. Maybe started with a P. The airgun was rated at 690 fps in 177 although the mail order company mistakenly rated the 22 cal that. I believe it was a fairly common airgun in the states as our local sporting goods store had a 22 cal version. Thinking it was a Diana 27???? I don't think the airgun had the name Diana on it but not sure. Any ideas and pictures.
