HN Slug HP 28 gr 6,35 mm

Hi friends, i have an impact m3 700mm cal .25, jsb king shoots them really well at 940 fps, my shooting distance is about 80 meters.
I would like to try the HN Slug HP 28 gr .25 mm, without having to change the regulator setting. Have any of you tried them, they are precise and constant or I keep shooting pellets....Thanls in advance

FX Panthera Tungsten or 8mm Hammer or same?

Hi Everyone,

I noticed in recent FX videos on the Panthera they discussed upgrading the hammer. In one video they mention that the tungsten hammer is not required and to use an 8 mm hammer. Then in another video they discuss installing a tungsten hammer. Is the 8 mm hammer also made out of tungsten?

These are the two videos I'm referencing:

Ranging Game

How do you guys range your target? I have a laser range finder that I typically carry with me but I'm interested in finding other, possibly better ways. Maybe some of you carry your range finder differently, perhaps a more efficient way (idk?). I'm kind of interested in how they do it for field target using the parallax to figure it out, but that seems tedious. I'm also well acquainted with the WERM rule and how to use it but that can be challenging as every (insert or your choice of game) isn't always the same size. Just curious how everyone else does it.

We need off topic again!

I know it caused a lot of problems because it got political.
And I was one of the main offenders, but just now looking at the post about knives made me realize how fun it was to see knives and fishing pictures, and best of all the cooking and bbq pictures that everyone contributed.
Maybe it’s possible to try it again with all members policing the off topic, and immediately shutting down all negativity and politics.
If we refrain from answering an insulting post, and instead let the offender know that it’s unacceptable here, maybe it could work out again.
If we all protect off topic ourselves then maybe the moderators won’t have to deal with it.
I would really enjoy seeing the recipes and fishing and knives and the cars and motorcycles and RC airplanes.
Just an idea, and I completely understand if it’s a no go.

HW99

Hi first proper post. Do you guys do the "Fix" on the hw99. On the forum I inhabit mostly in the UK, the hw 99 is a kind of cult rifle. Hated by many but much loved by the enlightened ones who appreciate the accuracy of the rifle once "fixed"This fix is done to stop the dreaded Galling and scraping on the cocking stroke. Do you do the "Fix" on the gun over here.:) Two in Custom Stocks I still have the top gun. Very accurate gun. The barrels beefed up with steel blued Sleeves not Shrouds. Sorry edit I believe known as hw 50s in the States.

Can an inconsistent 1 stage regulator, cause creep on the second stage regulator? FX Impact M3

Hi there fellow air junkies,

When shooting my M3 at the range, I noticed a change in consistency on paper the more I shot my rifle. At some point I found out that, during shooting, my second regulator pressure would rise around 10 bar with the original FX reg installed. I brought the rifle to Krale in The Netherlands, and had them take it apart and install a Huma 2nd HP reg. They didn't find any other problems and I was told the rifle functions as it should. But the creep is still there! With the huma reg installed it now creeps to 4-6bar during shooting.

The first regulator also creeps up during shooting (10-15bar), but the guy at Krale said this shouldn't affect consistancy and he left it as it is. I'm now wondering if this is really the case. What are your thoughts on this? Should I get a 1st stage Huma reg also?

The set pressures are: 1st reg: 150bar, second reg: 185bar (Zan 37gr)

Thanks in advance and greetings from The Netherlands!

AEA solved the great fill probe enigma

I still think a foster is the answer but since air gun manufacturers insist on having probes they should do what AEA started doing. AEA new guns have threaded fill probes so they can be screwed into the receptacle and act like a foster or they can be unscrewed and stored away.

Tank thread sizes.

The tank that im using with my 50 caliber gun has a tank thread that is m18x1.5. The regulator that im using is 4500/3000 but it was a generic ebay find and I wanted something more reliable so I ordered a Ninja regulator that says it's for PCP use but the thread is 5/8-18. I'm having a heck of a time finding tanks with the 5/8-18 so will someone please school me on the uses of the two threads. I can't find the same reg with the metric so I figured I'd just buy a tank to match the standard thread.

First i ever seen this.

So ol'Ruff and i were treeing squirrel and he had one on the go . The squirrel came down the tree just in front of Ruff and the chase was on around a part layed over holly tree . So i was in a good spot for them to come around and figured the squirrel was going to go up one of the next trees but they never came around that holly. I could see flashes of Ruff doing somthing in one spot and thought " did he catch it on the ground?".

So i get there and ol'Ruff is nothing but hind 1/4 up out of a hole trying to get deeper...lol. ( wish i had the camera right then with him deeper in the hole)

So that squirrel ran into the hole instead of up a tree .

Thats a new one for me. First time i ever seen that. Poor Ruff was enugh pissed to dig and rip roots in his way out with his mouth.. little fool.

What knives you all carry?

I carry a Kershaw Atmos and SOG Terminus XR S35VN. The action on the Kershaw (although a $35 knife) is insanely fast and it’s so easy to sharpen. Even compared to my Spyderco Sage 5 lightweight, it’s much faster and that’s a $200 knife. Benchmade Proper I‘ll carry if I’m wearing jeans…can’t afford to have it fall out of my pocket.

That being said, anyone want to trade my spyderco for one of their knives? I like flippers with the stud on top near the jimping. Like the sinkevich knives with a premium steel.

Should I spend $924 for a 97 Cu Ft tank?

Hello guys I’m in a little dilemma. I was thinking of getting a great white that’s a total of $924 to my door or a compressor & 45min Scott tank for around the same price. I’m also 13min away from a dive shop that fills to 4500psi so I don’t mind driving there. I only shoot at the range so I rather not get just a compressor. I do understand that I may have to buy better valves for a used tank and can’t get it filled if the inspection and life expired.
