Scopes with the most Wins

Sometime back i posted a thread about the "most winning FT guns" https://www.airgunnation.com/threads/most-successful-ft-guns.1278169/

This is a similar thread / discussion.

Which Scope(s) most often adorne or get mounted on top of the most winning FT platforms?

I am well aware of the hot debate between FFP = first focal plane and SFP = second focal plane, but in the end, i would imagine data and records of matches would indicate that a particular 2-3 scopes rise to the top over and over again?

I am aware that a scope is a very personal choice for lots of reasons, this is a thread that tries to slip past our feelings and examine results. To date every FT match i have been at asks me for type of gun, type of scope, type of pellet.
I am also aware that WFT scopes and clicking may have different requirements than HFT
I am also aware that OLDER eyes need more help... such as illuminated reticles
but
i am hoping to see a couple of winners pop up that seem to work well across the board.

Shooting the Brocock Commander XR .177

Hello Everyone,

Another near perfect morning for shooting paper targets and my new Brocock Commander XR .177 cal shot the heck out of several targets . However this target made me smile like a Cheshire cat, that is forty 1/8" diameter 10-Rings and they were almost all punched out :D. I have made no adjustments to this rifle since I took it out of the factory box. I have to assume that AOA made some adjustments to it before sending it to me because they do a good job of pre-servicing all guns. I have not run a chronograph test but their test results show a Max 903, a Min 886, Spread 17, Average 898, and Standard Deviation 5, shooting JSB 10.43 and I am plenty happy with that. It goes without saying that I love the way this rifle shoots.

Loose stock screw HW98

I’m haveing a heck of a time keeping my front stock screws tight on my HW98. I have put blue loc title on them twice now and let it sit overnight and they still loosen about 1/4-1/2 turn within 20-30ish shots causing POI to go usually high right if I remember right.
They have a washer and star ring on them from factory I’m thinking about trying a split lock washer?
Any advice?
Thanks

PCP Rifle  SOLD WTS RAW HM1000X and scope $1500

I have a brand new RAW .25 cal to sell. My old one had to be sent in for repairs and it got lost in the process so Airforce Airguns sent me a brand new rifle. While i waited for over a year to find out they lost my rifle, i purchased my impact so now i dont have the time to shoot the other rifle. I have shot about 4 mags through the brand new rifle just to check to make sure everything works. I would like to sell all of it together but would be willing to separate it.

Rifle w/ 2 mags and sniper scope-$1500

Buying a Compressor

I am in the market for a compressor. Only going to fill my rifles and 100ci tank. Probably not more than once a week. I think I want a portable that works with 12 volt and 120. Really don't want to get into the bucket of ice water and etc. I can shut it off a let it cool.... beats the hand pump. Do I buy the cheapest on Amazon and get the longest warranty? Or, mid range and the longest warranty? Never saw one in Walmart, where do they hide them? Can't justify anything over $400. What are my options?

After much consideration, Iowa decides.

The state of Iowa has decided that Iowan's didn't appreciate the month of March quite as much as had been anticipated.
In a 5-4 decision the state decided to bring the month back, or a large portion of it's weather if other events can't be recreated.
Interviews with local Iowan's bring mixed emotions with older Iowan's brushing the decision off as "just politics" while younger more hopeful Iowan's aren't taking the news as calmly.
Before public comment could be posted or reviewed the weather stations had already set a forecast in motion that only a lover of the "damp" or "chill" could really appreciate.

First airgun assistance please

Hello everyone! My apologies if there was a specific area of the forums that I'm supposed to ask this question on. I took a look at the resources section and didn't see a particular post that said "help me pick one out" wasn't allowed

I just purchased my first home with my wife and I have a few pests I need to take care of. I've been using my .22lr but I think an airgun may be of better use. I'm sure my neighbors will also appreciate it.

In an attempt to be as specific as possible I have used airguns in the past. My brother and I were giving break barells as kids and we put several thousand rounds through them. These were whatever my dad got at Walmart and I haven't had any other experience with air guns.

To start off To start off with the budget I'd like to spend anywhere between $100 to $400, I'm willing to purchase a scope and rifle combo kit. I understand this is a wide margin and a low budget but I hope I can narrow this down

For caliber I think I was to stick with .177. Im more then open to listen to opinions on .22 but considering my targets are chipmunks, squirrel and small birds I feel. 22 is a bit overkill. I also assume the ammo is cheaper

For style of rifle I've been kind of going back-and-forth on a break barrel and A pcp. I'm still learning about this sport but I'd like to get as close to a bolt to action as I can. I dont want to use c02 because years of playing airsoft has taught me how awful maintaining seals are with c02. I want a rifle that will require minimal matinence.

That's for That's for rifle size the way I'd like to describe it is a "full size". I want something that's gonna be close and scale to say a Remington 700. I ran into this problem when purchasing my 22 caliber rifle because most of them were designed to be used by children I felt many of them were too small.

I'd like a synthetic stock but I'd be open to wood

Something else that I'd like is to purchase this rifle used unfortunately due to the regulations with Facebook marketplace and places like that I can't exactly buy local so I'd be more than happy to buy one on the forums through the marketplace.

I'm also not sure about the kind of maintenance these rifles use but I'd like to not have to worry a whole lot about it.

I appreciate your time and I look forward to learning more about this sport and possibly getting a rifle of my own in the near future

"Search", All answers, all the time....

I keep seeing the SAME questions come up, almost day after day, at least...week after week !
More of the SAME... People ask questions that have been answered by MANY folks here, but for some odd reason, no one, or few...seem to use the search function.
This causes the SAME answers to be put up on the board, to comment on the same...questions, for what...to use up space..?

The designer(s) of this site, went to a lot of effort to make the "search" function...ACTUALLY...work ! I know, I've used it, countless times.

For old timers and especially for the new guys and girls...the "search" function works !

25 shots at 100 yards

Here’s 25 shots at 100 yards with my .177 RedWolf and 13.43 Knockout slugs.
It was snowing hard with some wind.
The two impacts on the far right were when the wind was blowing hardest and the slugs drifted about 3/4 of an inch.
This informal shooting is so much fun and relaxing.
But when I put up an official target at 100 yards and try one shot at each bull, or five shots at each bull it kind of takes the wind out of my sails lol!
Immediately I see that I know very little about shooting and reading the wind.
But I’m sure having fun that’s for certain.

Hand Pumping PCP?

Ok, I have purchased my first PCP and it should come in the mail next week....

I am debating on a compressor vs a hand pump. It's not a rifle I'll be plinking with so much, mainly just field use/small game hunting etc.

I've read a mix of comments on hand pumps. Deep down I don't think I'd need more than a hand pump, but have no idea what to truly expect.

I bought a Caiman in 25 cal. How many pumps would I expect to fill it to proper pressure with a 4 stage hand pump? 100? 50? 200?

I've used a hand pump a fair amount on tires...Not just bicycles.. Probably pumped up 2 dozen tires on a Jeep by hand over 2-3 years. I'm sort of guessing a PCP pump might be comparable?
